Fantasy We're Holidays Too!

Phillip smiled. "So I can see that even Earth Day is not against killing. I would have thought that, by now, you'd have gained the ability to do photosynthesis, or harness the power of the molten currents of the mantle. Maybe not, then." That would have been very useful, if that were the case. He could have studied how she absorbed the energy and influenced someone to patent a cheap and efficient renewable energy source, thereby increasing the chance for more financial gain. Alas, this seemed like this would not be the case.

Phillip glanced at the servent, and nodded. "Yes, that is a very good question. If she were allowed, would our own servents and minions be able to also go? We could bring in much more firepower this way and significantly increase our chance of surviving." He stopped. Surviving? Why was he even helping, anyway? He wouldn't benifit from any of this - in fact, a loss of profit was almost certain to happen. Still, he stayed put. Something might have squawked in the distance. He wasn't sure. "And there must be other Holidieties who would want to help. Saint Patrick's seems to always want a fight, and even that old Saint Andrew's might want to participate, with his holiday so close to Christmas. Try contacting them."

@Kylesar1

Caligo looked a little confused. How was a little demoted Holideity gonna kill Christmas? "How about the Saints help guard you. They're stupid, but they'll do the trick." The three saints looked incredibly offended. "I'm gonna try and get information from our little Justice League."

With an eruption of black smoke from the ground, Caligo disappeared. David, George and Andrew shared a look of terror as they were handed over to Nick.

Caligo appeared in the busy city, the little spark of black smoke unnoticed by the busy city people. After searching the city a little, he eventually managed to find the few holideities trying to stop Nick. He felt a little uneasy, being in a place where most people hadn't even heard of him. Stepping into the restaurant, he saw the group sticking out from the rest of the restaurant like a sore thumb. Without warning, he walked over and took his seat, like he'd been there all along.

"Sorry I'm late, gang." he said, smiling a little.

"You forget who I am. I can do both of those.........." Rosetta said with another laugh. ".......However, Both of those things require a place of stasis. I can't move while doing those things, which, for obvious reasons, isn't the way I go about doing things. If something happens, I can move away."

Serena raises her hand.

"I'm a mortal. Is a mortal allowed in the spirit realm???"

"The problem isn't the fact that there are mortals there," Rosetta said in a low voice. "The problem is that mortals are less able to defend themselves against the threats, especially in a place like the Spirit Forest. So long as you can ensure that they can defend themselves adequately, then it'll be fine."

She sighed and got up. "It's time to begin preparations to leave."

Caligo walked in like it was nothing. Rosetta turned to look at him. "Oh the waste of space...........Well you missed our planning. We're leaving now to prep. Stay with us in the Spirit Forest or you die. It's not something a single one of you can take on." She got closer. "I should know......." she smiled an uncharacteristically malicious one. "...........I grew it." There was something now weird in the air about Rosetta, but it instantly dissipated when her smile turned back from malicious to friendly. She looked back at the rest of the group. "Let's go."

Another flower appeared, which was unseen by any normal human. All they saw was her disappear into thin air.

Meanwhile Nick looked at the useless 3, staring at him in terror. They'd make good meatshields, as they were probably too much of kiss-asses to be of any real use. "That idiot. She can't kill me single-handedly............she just has access to the firepower." And there was absolutely nothing these 3 could do except take a few attacks. Nick disappeared with the 3 in tow to prepare for their arrival.

John looked at the elf in front of him. "When I get out of here, I'm gonna blow your head off. When I die and go to hell, I'll do it again." He was punched in the stomach. John was numb at this point, but like the American Soldier he was, he wasn't giving in. He had an idea, if not to get out, then to at least get some of his power back

(Sorry guys, I had training for my job the past 2 days. No phones or I'd have been terminated instantly. I'm on 3rd shift though, so this won't happen again)

(wow, use your phones in your workplace and they get Arnold Schwarzenegger to sort you out. I wish I worked there at an unsatisfactory level.)

"We've gotta get something quick, I'm not sure if John can take it much farther. He's strong, but not strong enough for Nick..." Anna said. "If we can just find a way to capture an elf, it may work. Wait... can you all shapeshift?" Anna had an idea brewing in her mind.

Caligo gulped, clearly not expecting to have to go to the Spirit Forest this quickly. He got out his very dated flip-phone, checking he had Nick's number. It was very informal of him to be using a human phone to contact Nick, but he was concerned that if he tried to teleport out of the Spirit Forest to speak to him, he'd get caught by Rosetta. He slapped a little text message in for Nick, just to check it'd work.

"I've gained their trust. I know it's a little informal of me to message you through this strange method humans call 'texting', but it's the best I can do. We're going to the Spirit Forest. Wish me luck, xx. - Caligo"

Serena stares at the flower before turning to Anna. She couldn't really...defend herself...unless Anna taught her some stuff. She decides to talk to her in private.

Napoleon Bonaparte

Spirit of Bastille Day

I'd wander the halls of the Louvre. As I continue to admire the pieces of art I had 'stolen through conquest' from Italy and all the other places of Europe. I also then begin to contemplate how I could've won Waterloo. I also contemplated a history without my invasion of Russia. I practically had a lot of regrets at this point. At deep beneath these regrets, was hate. For the existence of Santa Claus and his icy influence. As it was him who had stopped my conquest of Europe. I then stared up at a magnificent painting. A man with an unusually shaped hat, riding on a horse stretching out his arm in one direction as if in a celebratory gesture. The man in the picture was me. I then looked at a mirror and was ashamed at what I had become. From the Master of Europe to the spirit of a holiday only one nation celebrates, on one day, in the span of one year. I'd continue to reminisce my actions unless someone wanted to interact with me of course.

"I definitely can. I speak not for everyone else though." Rosetta looked around. "I can turn into any animal and retain my magic."

Phillip watched as Rosetta disappeared into thin air, leaving nothing but a remnant trace of nothing. What was that feeling just then? Uncharacteristically unbridled malice? Strange. Then something in his pocket beeped. He pulled out his limited edition crystalline glassed silver sapphire-studded waterproof windproof fireproof sound-resistant atomicbombproof supercomputer smartphone and checked the screen. A message from his global ultra-thorough completely fool proof closed-circuited intelligence network. He tapped a few buttons. “Someone has just sent a text to Mr Clause. It probably contains some important and incriminating evidence that could save many lives. Unfortunately, it seems to be highly protected, enough so that even my personal security system cannot bypass their defence.” Very strange.

Phillip looked up at Thanksgiving. “Shapeshift? Regrettably, my powerset does not contain that skill. And I am not sure a human can either.” He glanced at the Holidiety’s servant. Being mortal would be very inconvenient, now that he thought about it. Maybe he should start investigating this... then he started at the sound of Rosetta’s voice. “Wha – I thought you stepped into that flower and disappeared into thin air!”

"I'm not able to shapeshift, no, but..." he gulped, realizing that what he was about to say would be rather uncharacteristic. "I'll go in. I'm fast, Nick won't notice me in his lair. Trust me."

Rosetta looked around. She had her suspect. "I don't even have a phone. No worries though, I cultivated the Spirit Forest. They talk to me." Her face turned dark again. She was truly intimidating. "There's a reason why even gods don't enter the Spirit Forest. If there's a traitor amongst us, I will know by the time we leave."

Caligo shifted a little in his seat. He was going to have to resort to other ways of contacting Nick. He was truly stumped, he knew he'd have to leave and have an angry mob on his arse in the worst case scenario. He felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. In the heat of the moment, he held his stomach, and pretended to wince in pain.

"Ugh... one of my bonds... are they... ugh!" he said, running straight to the bathroom. He quickly opened up his phone to check for a message.

"Nick told me to contact you. They're gonna track any call sent to Nick, so he said you must text me, David, instead"

Caligo quickly tapped in a message, as fast as he could

"they found me, i might have to come back, tell nick"

He ran back to the group, holding his stomach once more. He had no idea if Phillip would be able to track a text to such a minor holideity, or if he was tracking texts to Nick's realm, but he knew he was in danger.

"I think it's... Shrove Tuesday, I'm... bonded with him, I think... he's in danger" he said, adding fake pauses in a desperate attempt to make himself more believable.

Phillip watched as, right after revealing his discovery, Caligo, clutching his lower abdomen, ran off somewhere for a period of time, then ran back. Interesting. “Pancake day? I would have thought that Easter Bunny here,” he pointed to Jackie. “Would have felt even more pain, as she is actually bonded with Shrove.” He paused. “No, actually, she would have felt less, with her being more powerful. Ignore what I said before.”

Keeping an eye on Bonfire Night, he reached under his suit and produced a deluxe triple-layered semi-roasted custom tailored luxury sparklingly glistening vegetarian burger with extra tofu, spinach and capsicum and no zucchini imported from the burger shop a block away. That Holideity was acting very suspiciously. Better wait and find out what he wanted first, then expose him later, after analysing the evidence – if, indeed, he was actually the traitor. If there even was a traitor. Maybe he just had a sore stomach. Maybe Christmas was just an act of a united world government made to flush out and unmask the supernatural beings who embody the essences of holidays. Who knows.

Oliver had mostly been listening to the conversation at hand. He didn't have much to input; he didn't have any bonds that could be absorbed and wasn't sure if he would be demoted to something less than a servant if Mr. Jack was demoted. He looked at Thanksgiving when she asked about his ears, tail, horns and wings. "They disappear when I come down to Earth, which is not a normal occurrence, Miss." He explained bluntly.

He eyes narrowed slowly when Caligo took a seat at the table. He didn't like this guy's style. At the question if any of them could shapeshift, Oliver shook his head. "No, I cannot. I do somewhat look like an elf if my horns are covered and tail and wings are hidden, you could say. But I do believe my ears are longer than theirs."

I've been looking into this RP with the intent of finding out why I felt I couldn't continue

The reason I believe is because I'm playing both roles, as the leader of the group and the main villain

On top of that, I feel that I didn't give you the players enough influence over the world and the plot. That's why we got a lot of one-liner posts saying their character stayed in their realm

I honestly don't know how to recover
