Alaska was born in Atlas and was raised by her mother Saige. Saige was a passionate soldier who served the Atlesian army most of her life and fully expected her daughter to follow her footsteps of serving the mighty kingdom of Atlas, a decision that molded Alaska into what she was today. Alaska's innocence was swiftly eradicated by her mother and she spent most of her childhood not as a kid, but as a soldier. During her daughter's earlier years Saige would hammer into Alaska's mind what it meant to be a soldier, what was expected of her and how little her life mattered in the grand-scheme of things. Once Alaska was old enough Saige would subject her daughter to various rigorous trainings that were meant to push her pass her limits and to fully break her spirit. By the age of 10 Alaska had become more weapon than human.
Alaska's life would remain the same until one fateful day during her 13th birthday. As the day drew to a close Saige revealed to Alaska one of her life's biggest mysteries: Her father. Saige explained how Alaska's father was a skilled hunter from Vale who'd dedicated all of his life to fighting the threat that were the Grimms. This dedication however would be his demise as he sadly passed away after a mission went terribly wrong. After this brief explanation Saige gifted her husband's hunter weapon (Winter's Grasp) to Alaska and presented her with a choice: Either stay in Atlas in order to become a fully fledged soldier or to carry the legacy of her father and enroll into Beacon Academy in order to become a hunter. This sudden taste of freedom of choice left Alaska momentarily dumbfounded, though in the end she chose the latter option as she thought she'd be able to serve her kingdom much more efficiently as a huntress. With her choice made Alaska would spend 2 years of her life solely dedicated to training with Winter's Grasp and at the age of 15 was finally able to pass Beacon's entrance exam. Now that she's 17 Alaska only wishes to make her mother and kingdom proud by becoming the best huntress she can be.
Personality:
At first glance you'd be hard press to find any noticeable differences between Alaska and a walking/talking piece of ice. It's true that Alaska appears as a cold individual who's so hellbent in becoming a successful huntress that the world around her ceases to carry any sort of importance, her stoic expression reflecting this attitude. You'll probably never see her smile, laugh, cry or even appear determined during a fight. To Alaska there's no such thing as free-time, if she's not taking part on a mission or going to her classes then her time must be spent training. Hell, she even owns an agenda that keeps track of every single thing Alaska will do for the day that she must follow step by step without any sort of diversions unless an emergency takes place. But in the end this nature is fueled by her desire to protect others and to rid the world of the menace that are the Grimms. Yes, she'll probably deem any sort of friendly interactions towards her as unprofessional and dismiss it. Yes, she's probably one of the biggest party poopers in the whole world. Yes, she'll probably die before showing any sort of emotion. But the moment you step out onto the field of battle with her Alaska will take notice of you and your quirks. "How good are they at fighting?", "How much damage can they soak up?", "Do they have any weaknesses? If so, can I help them overcome them?", "What's their preferred distance from the enemy when fighting?", etc. She may not look like it, but Alaska is a very observant person. If you were to throw an off-hand comment about how much you dislike peanuts Alaska will more than likely permanently store that in her mind. To Alaska the life of her teammates takes priority over hers and she views it as her duty to make sure they all make it safe and sound back to their homes.
Weapon:
Alaska's weapon of choice is Winter's Grasp, a pair of gauntlets with an affinity for ice dust. As it's to be expected Alaska utilizes this weapon to get close and personal with her foes in order to deal a barrage heavy blows. Thanks to ice dust Winter's Grasp is also able to create ice based attacks, such as:
-Enveloping the gauntlets for harder hitting strikes.
-By slamming one of her fists against the ground she's able to create a path of spiked ice that travels on a straight line.
-By slamming both of her fists against the ground she's able to create a small wall to protect herself.
While Winter's Grasp is compatible with other dusts the effectiveness of the weapon's attacks will greatly differ. To simply put it these are most of the dusts ranked from most effective to least effective based off how well the weapon can utilize it and Alaska's own personal experience:
Ice>Water>Air>Lightning>Fire
Semblance:
Snow Globe: By pressing both of her hands against the ground Alaska is able to generate a dome of pure ice around her that covers an area of 25x25 ft and has a height of 20 ft. Inside the dome a gelid snow storm will begin brewing, its intensity growing by the minute. Alaska utilizes her semblance as a way to provide herself with a more suiting environment to fight in and also as a team-wide shield. It takes about 10 seconds for the dome to be fully created and Alaska is able to maintain the dome for about 5 minutes (If she waits the 5 minutes she must wait around 30 minutes to use it again). The dome is thick enough to even protect against explosives, though if enough damage is dealt the ice will break.

She can raise the alcohol content in mostly anything containing water, including people. By using her semblance she can intoxicate her target. Depending on how much of her aura she uses to activate her semblance, her target could go from mildly tipsy to struggling to see or walk straight. The downsides of her semblance is, the longer she uses it, and the more people she uses it on, the more drunk she gets too. Though she can't make another person go black out drunk with her semblance, if she uses it enough on others, she would be the one to collapse. The more people she's influencing, the quicker the intoxicated haze wears off. She isn't fluent with her semblance, as she really only uses it on herself.
