Beginning Post~

Ailee-

The teenage girl lugged her suitcase up the never ending staircase that lead to the Academy, all in the snow as well. Even though it was the beginning of the year, and snow shouldn't have been able to fall yet, here it was. Piles of the white stuff were present, which made it quite hard for Ailee to walk up the millions of stairs. It wasn't like anyone had bothered to shovel a walkway either. Ailee frowned, frustrated with her current situation. She kicked her suitcase, as if that would help her pull it up the staircases. Once she finally got up the stairs, she pushed through the door, climbing more stairs to the dorms. She didn't exactly like it in the musty, dusty halls, but it wasn't like she could do anything about it. She sighed, pushing the door to her room open, throwing her suitcase onto her way too old bed.

Lyndi-

She sighed, sitting in the Great Hall. She was waiting for the students to arrive, but from what she was seeing, they wouldn't be here for a while. She looked around the room, which was littered with cobwebs. 'Ugh, this place is too old.' she thought, kicking her legs around mindlessly. She frowned, it wasn't really like her to have fancy greetings and all that, but she desperatly needed to make a good impression. She sighed, looking over at the paper with her speech that was in her lap. She was very forgetful, so she needed this paper to remember what she had planned to say, even though she wasn't sure if she was going to say it or wing it.

Shinimi walked the path in the snow, bundled up as much as she could be. The albino's skin was just as pale as sky and her hair as white and shimmery as the snow. Her things had already been taken up for her, all she had to do was enter the school and play her part. She trudged up and into the academy, and further up more stairs to the dorms. Apparently she was to share a dorm room with someone else.

She walked into the dorm room, bundled in her trench coat, gloves, snow boots and a scarf wrapped around her nose and mouth. She noticed a girl in the room with her stuff on one of the beds. She went over to her own bed, where her things were all sprawled out on top.

"I hope you don't mind me being your roommate" She said in a light voice through her scarf. She pulled off the scarf and sneezed into her elbow.

Kiro smiled looking up at the school staring to the stairs which students had been slipping on and so forth. He loved the snow but hated trying to climb stairs in it, it was always a hassle and caused him to slip up. "Well then....Lets make this a bit easier." He spoke and then stopped at the bottom adjusting his backpack, it was all he had really brought with him but it was also all he needed. Staring to the path ahead his eyes slowly began to light up his oceanic blue hues turning to a soft lavender color only to have a section of the snow slowly begin to push aside leaving a dry clear path up a part of the stairs. Smiling happily his eyes reverted back to the blue they once were and Kiro proceeded up the clean pathway. Magic, it was almost all he had left other then the few clothes he wore. It had also been all he really knew since his friends betrayed him and his dragon had been lost. Frowning softly at the thought he sighed and continued up the path stopping once he made it to the top to look back at the area he had just passed to get here. "Well, new school. Lets get this year started. Hopefully learn a few new things."

Ailee-

She looked over at the girl who had entered. This must be her roommate. She had forgotten she would get one. "It's fine, as long as you don't infect me." she said, jokingly, of course. She didn't care as to whether or not her roommate took it that way, as she didn't care for most other things. Ailee flopped onto her bed, looking at the ceiling. She wasn't going to unpack until later, as she was too tired to. She fished into her pocket, pulling out her phone. Her shoulders slumped down, of course there wouldn't be any internet in this castle, or whatever it was. Ailee frowned, satting her phone on the table, bringing out her headphones as an alternative to playing games. She was going to listen to music. She plugged the headphones in, slipping them in her ears. She opened her music app, something that didn't need internet, and put on her k-pop playlist, something she listened to often, to calm her, help her fall asleep, get her happy, anything, music was playing. She smiled, music now pumping into her ears. This soothed her, even though no one really understood why she listened to the foreign music.

Devon walked into the building, and their expectations were shattered. For an institution that claimed so much, the interior was in terrible condition. There wasn't much heating, and they were only wearing a sweatshirt, despite the snow outside. They pulled a paper out of their pocket and checked their room number. "Looks like I'm gonna have to walk a while." they muttered to themself as they started heading down a long corridor.

As soon as they reached their room, they tossed their bag onto the floor and flopped down a bed, which wasn't very comfortable, but they didn't move. They had to come a long way, and was worn out. They would be excited about this if it was under any other circumstances, but whoever ran this place had already made a bad impression on Devon. 'Why should I have to comply with someone who threatened my family anyway?' they thought, but couldn't ignore the idea of meeting other people who have supernatural abilities. Devon flickered the lights to take their mind off of things. They found it to be calming, and it was always funny when it scares somebody. Definitely the most important use of their demonic powers.

The albino smiled at the girls joke and removed her heavy coat wear. Underneath all of the big gear she was wearing, she was actually very small and frail, barely having any presence to her at all. She silently began unpacking her things into the small drawers by the side of her bed. She noticed that one of her shirts actually still had blood on it from when she killed the students in her old village. She sighed and tossed it onto her bed. She made sure she still had the switchblade in her pocket and she hopped onto the bed and sat cross legged as she examined the stain with a frown. Stupid blood staining my clothes.. She thought.

Sayuri walked up to the building in a light, black jacket and knee long shorts. She took a moment before entering the building to look around. Everything she saw was covered in snow. Not that it bothered her. After letting out a sigh, she entered the building. Her parents had already sent her stuff over ahead of time, and she was grateful for that after seeing the stairs she had to climb. She let out another sigh and took her time up the stairs.

After some time, she finally made it to the top. Her room was next to two other girls, who seemed to already be settling in. She went to her room and began unpacking. I'll have to introduce myself later, she thought.

Aiden stared at the large building in awe, then watched someone remove the snow from the ground without so much as touching it. His eyes fell to letter left at the adoption centre claiming to be adopting him.

"I can't believe the adoption centre would trust something so vague," he thought as he made his way up the now clean staircase. The interior was an catastrophic mix of neglect, ignorance, and laziness.

"not quite the 'Blissful utopian family for those gifted with abilities beyond that which man had been given' one hath thy misfortune of setting ones gaze upon," he added to his thoughts, mentally mocking the wordplay of the letter from which he quoted in his mind. Cobwebs coated in dust so thick that it pulled at the cobweb and tugged it down towards the floor like a heavy weight, cracks in the floor which seemed to dance all over and spread up the wall like a dangerous disease, and dark moisture spots collected anywhere and everywhere on the ceiling like acne.

Aiden lifted his only bag over his shoulder and began to look for the room which the letter said he was staying in. When he found the room, the door was covered in dust so thick it almost covered the rot and decay of the old, splintery wood. The door opened on hinges which squeaked so loud from the stiffness of their age the squeak could be classified more as a yell. Although slightly tempted to throw his bag onto the bed, Aiden thought the simple act of the bag hitting the bed would reduce it to dust; he gently placed the bag onto the bed and began to pull out the small number of clothing and the somewhat larger number of non-fiction educational texts.

"Something tells me this might not be an adopting family. I should probably leave if I can get the chance," he thought as he scanned the room.

Idina walked in to a grand room. She had never seen ceilings this high. She clasped her leather packages closer to herself, the acorn buttons digging in and her completely not caring. A slight breeze blew through the room and her hair bellowed out behind.

"Hello?" She cautiously walked a few more steps in. Her entire body was shaking due to nerves. This was her first time out of the forest in her entire life, and now she was... here. Wherever here really was. She walked further into the hall, and saw a map. She scanned it briefly, and headed for the dorms.

After navigating the labyrinthine halls, she arrived at the dorms. She walked down the corridor and smiled at everyone she saw before clearing her throat.

"Um... Hi. I don't know... I don't know which dorm I have. Could... Could someone... Never mind. I'm sorry, I'll find someone who works here." Her cheeks were red as she turned to go.

As Josef looked up at the long stairway leading up to the academy which was covered in ice and snow. “Well i wasn’t expecting this to be my welcome but at least my 8 climbing legs will help me unlike the rest of the student i won’t be slipping and sliding all over the place” he whispered to himself while patting his bottom spider half. So he began the way up the stairs.

once reaching the top he noticed that the building was relatively old for what they were offering inside it wasn’t any better dust and cobwebs everywhere i mean I am not gonna complain for the chance to learn for free but still they could have at least cleaned up the place or something he thought to himself.

fortunately after some time he found it. once he entered it looked like it hasn’t been cleaned for years but other than that it looked like a normal dorm but there was one problem there was a bed in it. He really didn’t need the bed but it was too big for him to carry it alone so he decided to shout out into the hall “hey anyone willing to help get rid of a bed!?”.

Shinami grumbled as she fiddled with the bloody shirt. The stains being deep red against the light blue fabric. Guess I'll seek out a laundry room then... She stood from the bed with a frown on her face as she walked out of the dorm and into the hallway. She didn't care that people would see her walking by with a bloody shirt. He walked past the spider and his room while she looked down at the stain.

"Stupid blood..." She muttered to herself.

As he continued looking around for someone to help him move his bed he saw a girl walking down the corridor as he was about ot ask her for some help he saw that she was holding a shirt that was completely soaked in blood and thought better not talk to her for now . Just let her walk by as he whisper under his breath “i knew this wasn't going to be a normal school but still murder?, that's just crazy” as he continued looking around.

Sayuri peeked out of her when she heard someone ask for help to move a bed. When she looked, she saw a boy with the bottom half of his body as a spider. This certainly is a first, she thought. Since she wasn't that strong, she decided she wouldn't be much help to him anyways.

He saw a girl peeking out of her dorm probably after hearing his call. She had a bit of a face for a second like you learning something new for a second then her face changer back to normal. he hoped that she would come out and help but she just went back onto her dorm for whatever reason. Guess she just didn't want to help.

Kiro looked to the piece of paper he held heading towards an empty dorm room pausing to see the spider like man before blinking then continuing on his path to his dorm. Upon entering it, Kiro set his bag down glancing to the two empty beds, each one across from each other. To him it seemed normal enough. Shrugging softly his eyes lit up as his bag lifted up and launched itself onto the bed to the left, his necklace then uncoiled itself taking the staff form. With this, he set it in the corner of the room and smiled flopping down onto the bed smiling as he stared at the ceiling. He wasn't sure how or when the classes were starting so he figured he would just sit there and wait.

As he continued to wait by his dorm for some help he saw another boy go by he was hoping here to help but he looked a bit too busy he was staring at a sheet lifting his head for a moment to look then continuing on his way. Well I don’t think he heard my call for help but he does look like he is still finding his own dorm so for now I won’t ask him for help he thought to himself.

Devon's mental plea to be saved from boredom was answered when they heard someone asking for help. 'Might as well' they thought and walked out into the hall. "Did I hear someone in need of assistance?" they answered rather loudly. They couldn't see anyone in the hall, but the voice hadn't sounded too far away.

He heard someone say “Did I hear someone in need of assistance”. He couldn’t see him but it sounded relatively close by so he replied with “yes I need help moving my bed just follow my voice and you should find me!”. finally someone willing to help he thought to himself as he stood up from waiting.

They walked around the corner, following the voice, until they found the source. When they noticed that he was part spider, they paused for a split second, then shrugged it off. This was a place for nonhumans anyway. "Hi, I'm Devon, and I'm probably the best person for moving heavy things." They held out their hand to the stranger. "Why do you need to move a bed anyway?"

Shakes the mans hand in front of him “Hello I am Josef though some call me Joe” He says with a smile. “well as you can tell i am part spider" he says as he pats his spider body "and being part spider i can spin my own webs so i prefer to sleep on those you know more comfortable and everything” he says with a smile.

"Making a good choice there, buddy," they said with a laugh. "The beds are hella uncomfortable, well at least the one I was laying on." They yawned a bit and then continued, "What're you planning on doin with it exactly?" They raised their eyebrows, expectant for a good response.

“Hmm to be honest i don’t know” he scratches his head and thinks about it for a min. “well you can try it out if it is more comfortable than your bed i guess you can have it” he says after a bit of deliberation “if that doesn't work out i can just leave it outside my room and talk to one of the workers tomorrow unless if you know where i can bring it?”

"It doesn't look any different than mine, so I doubt it." They cross their arms and think for a minute before smiling like an idiot. "Where do you think the strangest place to put it is? I'm thinkin the roof, but not many people would end up seeing it." They then backtracked and explained their idea. "What I'm sayin is that we now have a golden opportunity. First day of the year, someone's got to do something like that. Maybe right in the doorway...great hall?" They continued naming places in the academy.

Smiles as he replies but shakes his “maybe something a bit more smaller scale like in front of someone door? i mean it would be pretty funny but I don’t wanna be that bad on the first day”. His grin gets even bigger “yes it’s not such a big operation that we wouldn’t get in too much trouble but it still would be pretty funny how about that in front of someone's dorm while they are inside?” he looks at Devon with a raised eyebrow?

"Honestly, I'm more of a go big or go home person. I see where you're coming from, but I also don't know what rooms have people in them. And I'm not too interested in getting classmates pissed at me. Maybe just hide it, in a not obvious place, then see how long it takes before somebody finds it. Probably wouldn't get caught that way." They were starting to like that idea better. Less chance of being found out, and it would prove for a good laugh a few weeks down the road. They scratched the back of their head.
