originally I was trying to go for a weapon that would basically take a bit of the opponent's stamina and strength giving it to the wielder but not in a draining way just in addition to the damage like a percentage of the hit is sorta converted so the more you use it the stronger and longer you fight but that still required you to consistently hit the target... and i also wanted to have some visual indicator to show how much of your stamina was reliant on this ability since once it wears off depending on how much you used this will depend on how badly the after effects are.. or how bad it will be if you can't get any more hits in

im just rambling now god..... i don't know if i make any sense anymore...

You make plenty sense. An ability that allows you to do that is a Wavelength. It's not an ability per say, just something your character is born with. Idk about the GM's lore but mine had this if you remember Kyuubey Kyuubey Britt-21 Britt-21 :

Numbing Wavelength- Individuals with this wavelength are more numb to certain sensations such as pain or discomfort and therefore tend to push themselves more in combat. This can come with complications, though if they are unaware of an injury, then it's likely to get worse before actually getting treatment

Parasitic Wavelength- individuals who possess a parasitic wavelength are able to steal soul energy from others upon contact. This means the direct soul attacks do less damage because their soul actually absorbs some of the attack and converts into the power.

Survivor's Wavelength- The soul of a survivor is unique in that the wavelength grows in power as the difficulty of surviving becomes harder. The more damage they withstand, the stronger the wavelength. Of course, there is always a limit to how much damage the human body can withstand before it no longer functions.

Sacrificial Wavelength- This wavelength allows the user to absorb damage for others. When they are linked, via resonance to either a partner or a team, all damage goes to the one with the sacrificial soul.

(Sorry for spamming I also wanted to see if Hunter sees one of these wavelengths as to what he was going for or if any of these are allowed.)

well looking at the wavelengths that exist... guess I was trying to go for a weird combination of parasite and survivor's wavelength... seems like what i was trying to do was have the "parasite wavelength" kinda fuel the survivor's wavelength exclusively..

You would drain your soul power a lot if you did this because you have to dish out soul power to gain a little bit back. It wouldnt be a good trade off o:

Then this would be a made up wavelength if that is possible?

o-0? errr? i don't understand that sentence

yeah still not helping explain that sentence :(

look i don't think im getting my point that well across i guess my idea just doesn't function here... at all...... i guess if i wanted to put it super simply

more damage you do the stronger you get... but now idk anymore im not even sure thats right either or anything anymore the closest thing was what i just suggested before parasite+surviour in a strange combo

What she's saying is that she will accept the survivor wavelength if that's what you want, but your other idea is a little iffy and hard to regulate to make sense off in terms of working or to make not OP in a sense. That's why those wavelengths are separate and not a singular one. You can have one or the other.

i thought I made it kinda clear that there where downsides... and I was leaving it open-ended enough for some suggestions on how to modify it so far iv not really seen anything aside from kinda a long-winded "no this doesn't work" I guess in the most simple terms I was trying to make a vampire blade sort of deal that would rely on the person constantly attacking their target to replace their stamina and boost their strength... and in the end, the effects come crashing down on the wielder afterwards... i mean i had some other ideas for more downsides if the issue is not enough downsides to the ability?

If I could make a suggestion. Perhaps it could be a very BRIEF boost. It's all based on a sort of combo chain. The more hits he lands in a short span of time the more damage they do. But the moment his assault finishes or he's interrupted. The boost is lost an back to normal until he attacks again

That way at least he's not passively storing up more power until it get's to god tier strength. Downsides or not. Power is still power. It shouldn't get to such high amounts

This is dependent on the meister though.

Tell me the downsides you wanted to put to it
