  Tanelia can be compassionate, sweet-tempered, kind, and loyal to those she trusts. Should you betray her trust, you will find that getting back into her graces is slim to nada. She is highly intelligent. Lia loves wildlife, and her job/career is her life. Her sharp wit, intelligence, and observation skills make her among the best of the best veterinarians and conservationists in Florida. She will protect you with her very life if you are someone she trusts (or an animal tbh). While she can be over-protective of those she cares about, she also can be hard to get along with and requires much patience from her loved ones. Tanelia is very much in tune with Empathy. She will dream big and is what many consider an empathetic dreamer.
  
  Tanelia is constantly moving, not one to stop for anything, and hates not finishing a task. She is stubborn, and that streak runs a decent 20 miles long. Should you betray her trust, you will find that getting back into her graces is slim to nada. However, Lia is very much an introvert. She used to be an extrovert. However, after she ran away, she became more and more introverted. This gal has a sarcastic streak that runs almost as long as her stubborn one. She hides her true feelings behind witty and sharp comments. Once you get to know her, you will realize her sarcastic and sassy replies are just a front to hide how she truly feels. She is quieter than anything and prefers to observe and watch before rushing into things. While she may be a bit impulsive regarding friends, she will not be impulsive regarding anything relating to her job. Overall, many consider Lia to be an 'Ice Queen'. She is cold, collected, and very much not one that is easy to approach. She has this 'narrow-minded' approach and sometimes all she sees is her job. While she can be over-protective of those she cares about, she also can be hard to get along with and requires much patience from her loved ones. Lia is cautious, timid, and withdrawn at first glance. She is introverted. She always prefers to stick to herself over groups, having social anxiety. Tanelia is also Intuitive.   Tanelia was born and raised on Bruny Island, Australia her entire life. She grew up learning how to snorkel and also grew up around wildlife. That was where her entire passion stemmed from. Being surrounded by exotic reptiles, vertebrates, fish, and amazing pristine coral reefs as well. Sadly, her father was never in the picture - leaving Tanelia as the youngest out of a family of three with an older sister and her mother. Which just made her entire childhood exhausting. However, though she doesn't know it - she does have a half-sister in Seabreeze and this may just become uncovered during the rp.
  
  Her older sister was attacked by a venomous snake and killed almost instantly, leaving just her mother and her alone when Lia was just 12 years old. He r mother grew even more distant at that point - having assumed it was due to the fact the two girls had been out on a hike and instead of Lia getting bit, her sister pushed her out of the way and got bit instead. Of course, this meant Tanelia became extremely independent at a young age sadly. By the time she went off to college at 17, her mother was so distant it was like she was dead.
  
  College was one of the best things to happen to Tanelia and she threw herself deep into her studies early on, getting a BSc in Conservation Biology, she pursued her Masters's degree at a young age after graduating early with a higher-than-average IQ. Graduating with her DVM and MSc degree was short of a miracle when she did (graduating with those at 22 was nothing short of a miracle). While completing her degrees, Tanelia's mother was killed in a hit-and-run accident, leaving her daughter with nothing but her books and her pet; a Savannah Cat named Kesuna. As she grew more and more 'famous' - Lia decided to move away from Australia and to the United states, finding a section of land she could build her wildlife rescue up and at 22, Lia became a citizen of the US and moved to the town of Seabreeze.
  
  The first year she had was her setting up the clinic and spending most of her time in the field, studying Florida Panthers of all things. This is what caused her to witness a car hitting a panther and that led her to find an abandoned cub. Knowing that cubs couldn't live without their mother at that young age, and with the fact of her qualifications, Lia took in the cub and started her sanctuary next. This of course caused one heck of a stir all across the world - to the point she had cheetah cubs that were trafficked to appear and her entire live grew brighter doing what she loved. She forgot about her father, about her mother, and about the tough times she had as a kid ... when her mother ignored her, pretended she didn't exist and much more.

Though she can be easily distracted and seem a bit flighty, Birdie can (and has) used that to her advantage. She can be cold-hearted, and definitely stubborn as a mule.   • Birdie Hale wasn't always Birdie Hale - in name, at least. No, she was born Riley Alexis Hale on August 1st, 2001, to the former Nancy Foster, who had married Terry Hale three years prior. Nancy had had minor success in the art world, garnering a small but niche audience/buyers for her sculptures. It wasn't much money, but it was somewhat steady, with Terry balancing his part-time violinist gigs with a part-time position at the local coffee shop. So when Riley...err...Birdie... came along, they weren't too concerned with money.
    
    Of course, they lived in a cramped one-bedroom apartment overlooking said coffee shop (thanks Mr. Kirk!), but it was okay. Birdie often entertained her parents and their guests, putting on performance after performance. It was evident from an early age that Birdie had talent-adjacent qualities, so her parents enrolled her in the occasional acting class when they had pinched enough pennies to do so. This enabled her to think that she had 'it' - even though that 'it' was incredibly questionable at best.
    
    Nevertheless, Birdie was determined to make it out of Tallahassee and go to Hollywood. So she worked hard throughout her primary and secondary schooling, taking on plays in her school's drama club (though she never played lead). She got a job alongside her father at the coffee shop when she turned sixteen, saving up for modeling lessons to take after school and on the weekends.
    
    Birdie legally changed her name on her eighteenth birthday, because, after all, a star's gotta stand out. She went to the local community college for a communications degree before graduation last year. Now she's in Sea Breeze, working to save up for a way out of Florida and onto Hollywood.

  • Zach can light up a room just by walking into it. His smile is welcoming and his laughter is infectious, adding to his warm persona. He's authentically himself, for better or worse. Whether it be his flirtatious charm or his reluctance to get into any deeper connections, Zach is either well-liked or absolutely despised, for lack of a better word.
    
    He likes his one night stands. He likes his lack of deep intimacy. He likes the buzz of a crowd when he's jamming out with his band, Sleepless Daydream (they're a local favorite, but haven't really hit it big just yet). But he doesn't like to get into any of that serious business. Why can't he just be the life of the party like he wants to be? Why must he have to deal with awkward situations and uncomfortable feelings? He wants everything to be as lighthearted as he is. It's comfortable to him.

    Background: Zachary Alexander Foreman was born to Jeremiah and Ella (Clark) Foreman on a windy September morning. They had lived in the Sea Breeze neighborhood since before they were married, and welcomed their second son to their cozy little cottage. Ella had a seven year old son from her previous marriage, Evan, making Zach their first (and only) child together. Jeremiah was the second-generation owner of Foreman's Tool Shop, the local hardware store, while Ella was a third grade teacher. They were happily suburban.
    
    But Zach wanted more, even from a young age. He wanted out of Sea Breeze, like his older half-brother had successfully accomplished when Evan set off for an out-of-state college. Zach was eleven at the time and idolized him. He thought that Evan's father was way cooler (especially for letting Evan leave the state) and less strict, unlike Jeremiah was to Zach. Jeremiah wanted his only biological son to take over the family business, and had been preparing him for it for as long as Zach could remember.
    
    Zach, however, didn't want to take over the store. He wanted to make music and be a rock star, like his favorite bands (Fall Out Boy, Pierce The Veil, etc., etc.) were becoming right before his very eyes. Jeremiah didn't like this, even as Zach grew to his mid-teens and took on that so-called 'Dad, it's not a phase' mindset. Ella, on the other hand, was one hundred percent supportive of her youngest son's dreams, encouraging him to do whatever he wanted (within reason, of course). This lead to tension between husband and wife.
    
    Ella filed for divorce on their eighteenth wedding anniversary. Zach immediately moved in with her once she got her own place. At sixteen, he was determined to form his own band - and he did, along with three of his friends from school. Thus, Sleepless Daydream was formed. It consisted of Zach on vocals/lead guitar, his best friend Sam on bass, another friend Jesse on rhythm guitar, and a guy he really didn't know too well but vibed with, Logan, on drums. They wanted to emulate the sound of the pop-punk scene, but started off as a cover band. They weren't too good at coming up with lyrics.
    
    By graduation, Jesse was out of the band over typical high school drama and Sam was going off to college, leaving Zach and Logan the only two original members of the band. It was then that they started collaborating on writing songs, though they couldn't really record anything since it was expensive. (And plus, who would want to record an unknown band?)
    
    Flash forward to today, and the current lineup is still Zach and Logan, but with two newcomers to the band, it could lead to some drama. Who knows? They're still playing local gigs and wedding receptions, mixing their original songs with covers to local success.
    
    Other than the band, Zach never went to college (he had never been one to even consider higher learning), moved into a houseboat, and doesn't speak to his dad at all.

  • Background:
    Jonah Holloway was a divorcee when he decided to leave England for a fresh start. His once happy marriage had ended on a sour note when his wife of three years, Alison, suddenly left him out of the blue. (She had been cheating on him, but he didn't know that.) A lengthy, bitter divorce followed, draining Jonah financially and mentally. So he had to get out. He ended up in Sea Breeze, falling in love with a widowed mom of one. Fern was produced as a result of their affection for each other, being born in July of 1999.
    
    Fern had an affinity for writing ever since she could hold a pencil. She'd write poems, song lyrics, short stories—whatever, as long as her creativity was able to flow free. This creativity, in turn, gave her the passion she needed for music. She saved up her allowance to buy a guitar, and from then on, she was determined to become a musician.
    
    The rest of her life continued to go on as usual. Though she hasn't had much success in the music world, she hopes to reach someone with her music one day.
