Placido

Placido rolled his eyes - internally of course - at aster and his mannerisms. They were already tiring him out, and it had barely been a few minutes. He cared deeply about these ancient beings. Their thoughts were exquisite in their form, having changed and matured before thought itself could be considered a concept. Yet, they could recall before - in a sense. It was beautifully simplistic and intricate - experience without sentience. But his appreciation stopped there. As an exercise in the history of experience it was bliss, as an exercise in strained patience - it was hell. And not the good kind.

"Forgive me... reactive memory. I am not often called a child anymore." He looked to Magus. "It is not about you offering me anything. It is about the fact that I can't trust you to do what you say you will. I can't trust that you mean it implicitly, but also mean to undermine the promise through some other means. You are not giving me anything - you are offering me a long term service arrangement completely subject to your whim. How do I hold you to your claims - especially when I have essentially made you the new god of death?" This time he really did roll his eyes. Negotiations were so hard sometimes. He could have him vow on the Styx - but again, breaking that is at most eight years of torment - a price many would willingly pay to see their goals fulfilled. He recalled being able to place trust in people. He recalled what that brought him... over and over again. No alliance with him will ever be based on trust ever again.

magus let out a comical sigh "well I tried" he shrugged deciding to not try any more. "well if you refuse to take me up on my deal, ill just be going now" he stated with another sigh "Bye Aster, it was nice meeting you sir!" he closed his eyes and gave a smile, tilting his head to the side adorably "hope you don't classify me with my brother and father." he stated before doing a little turn and attempting to open a portal

"Well, I'm not sure that's totally true. I think, it could be said that any installation designed for and harnessing the construction, research and practice of technology could very well be temples of yours. It may not be intended that way, but I don't think it's so far fetched." Athena countered Motus' comment on the necessity for temples. "I consider court rooms, situation rooms and schools more my temples than any dedicated place of worship."
She materialized her spear as well as the legendary Aegis, moving closer to Motus.
"I've not the same powers for instant travel Nacht possesses. We will have to call upon the most supreme of the immortal mounts for transport."
As she walked Athena began to pound her spear on the Aegis. The strikes produced a loud and concussive boom, shaking her surroundings as she summoned Arion, the Immortal.
"Arion, hear my call! I beckon thee!" She declared in a tone uncharacteristically boomy.
There was sound of fall winds and crashing waves as a flurry of air and mist appeared from which Arion appeared, thunderous footsteps echoing in the workshop as he approached them.
"Well received, cousin. It's great to see you again. I was under the impression you had returned to Olympus." He spoke, in a deep, stately voice.

Ahhhh... Nature. A neutrally aligned place. Ruled neither by good or evil, darkness or light, chaos or law. Balanced.

He stood by the river and closed his eyes. He breathed in a breath of the clean, fresh air.
In that moment he simply existed. Listening to all that could be heard. Feeling all that could be felt. Feeling the warm sun on his skin, feeling all that could be felt. Every one of even the tiniest insects, he could feel with the vibrations of the earth. All the life-force ebbing from every creature could be felt.

He opened his eyes and saw all that there is too see in the finest detail. Zooming in and out of different modes of vision til he could find one JUST right for relaxing. Switching from regular sight, to infrared, to ultraviolet, and back. He could sense everything in his surroundings.

Not that it took any significant amount of wisdom to see Tyruuk. The venomous snake god. Plus he wasn't trying to hide right now so it was irrelevant. He knew that the long, large serpentine figure was there.

Tyruuk was dangerous, THAT is undeniable. Bravery may be part of his domain, but STUPIDITY WASNT. Caution is a wise-man's tool. There was no need to start a fight with such a powerful deity.

If Tyruuk was wise, he'd know that Caleb was not here for a fight. He was here to relax. They were here for similar purposes. They wet both here in this space, NOT as enemies. But simply as two beings coincidentally sharing the same geographic location at the same time. Not here as enemies, simply existing in peace... That was CALEB's goal for being here anyway.

He knew Tyruuk was in alliance with Placido. But Tyruuk likely didn't know that Caleb was in alliance with Nekros, not yet at least. At least for now, they did not have to act as mortal adversaries. Caleb had no animosity towards Tyruuk. While unpleasant, venom and snakes have their place in the world. As far as Caleb could tell, Tyruuk was simply in the alliance for his own reasons, and NOT out of a desire to do evil. For his own gain. As far as Caleb knew, Tyruuk was not an evil deity. Just chose the opposite side, that's all. There was no need for violence here today. They should simply just EXIST in this moment, in the HERE AND NOW. Just EXIST...

He took off his shirt and revealed his well built upper body (not suggesting that Tyruuk has any interest in humanish males). He was no god of strength or anything but he WAS a god a and a being with high strength so it's little surprise he should have a well built body. He then went about taking off the rest of his gear and the rest of his clothes. He waded into the river completely nude, not a care in the world for 'decency'. Tyruuk was a snake god, not a human. He likely would not be offended by the sight of bare human ge*etalia and exposed flesh. Only conservative and arguably prissy beings cared about foolish notions of 'decency'.

And so Caleb just simply waded into the river completely nude, not a care in the world about decency or anything of the sort. Not attempting to make conversation yet at least, but if the snake god wanted to talk, he wouldn't mind it either. Caleb was aware that sometimes saying nothing is OKAY. There is no NEED to talk to others if they don't want to. After all, perhaps Tyruuk just wanted space, to be left alone. Initiating conversation was not always necessary.

Tyruuk had been hanging out near the lily pads, gently moving them around the area with his head out of, well, he just felt like it. He nosed lily pads this way, he nosed lily pads that way, every which way he decided to move them. His tongue flicked in and out, catching a new scent. His head turned, eyes seeking out the one who the scent belonged to. Ah, another divine. He couldnt blame anyone for wanting to relax here, is was so nice. He was sure to keep his hood flat so no aggressive stance was taken. He heard something plop near him, turning his head quickly and his tongue flicking far more quickly. On a lily pad, a frog sat unaware of the snake. With quick reflexes, Tyruuk's fangs came out of their little hiding places as he struck at the little amphibian. He would much rather a mammal, but anything would do at the moment. He swallowed the frog whole, his fangs tucking back where they usually are when not in use. Now, to put an identification on this divine he scented. He was positive they have never met before, perhaps he'd go say hello. xpstitch xpstitch

Caleb saw with his (nearly) all-seeing eyes, Tyruuk was swimming peacefully. No hint of animosity towards Caleb yet. Good. He doesn't seem to recognize me either. Though he did notice he ate the unknowing frog.

One who did not know Caleb would think Caleb would be horrified. But this is not true. Caleb the wise knew that in nature there is a circle of life, and death was just another part of life. In nature, snakes ate, birds ate, EVERYTHING ate. It was just the way it all naturally was. Not a matter of good or evil, it just IS. Even though he doubted the immortal Tyruuk needed food to live, it was just his way.

Though he was cautious. Perhaps he was hungry for other things too. Perhaps Caleb would be next? Caleb was wary. But notice, how he had no change in facial expression from the movement. He did not flinch or get scared. He was wary enough to recognize the danger and power of Tyruuk for what it was, but not a scared little girl by any means. How fascinating.

So Caleb just watched and continued to swim in relaxation in the cool river.

Kymopoleia smiled akwardly as she walked around, she had picked some random things off the ground that she was quite fond of. She found some feathers and empty snail shells. She had picked up some of her dress and used it as a basket to hold the feathers and shells. After walking for a while she sees Caleb's back and walks over to him slowly. She didn't know who he was, but she felt like starting a random conversation with him. xpstitch xpstitch

Tyruuk slithered over to the bank closest to him, his body sliding out of the water and he shook his head to get the water off. He flicked his tongue, now smelling a new familiar smell. The goddess he had met before. Tyruuk noticed her moving toward Caleb, and laughed a little to himself. Human-like gods are used to clothes, would the goddess freak at seeing the other god without? Heh, it would be interesting to watch. So he did, coiling up comfortably and discreetly keeping an eye on the two.

Caleb knew the lady was there. He TOO, wondered if she was not bothered by his naked body.

He noticed Tyruuk's amusement at the situation. He smirked and shot Tyruuk an amused look that said "I know what you're thinking".

He also sensed more potential danger in the situation however, but didn't show it.

Now there were TWO gods around him. And this was dangerous. He also sensed danger in the water he swam in. Something bad could happen in the water. He also knew she was of the negative alignment, evil. Her and water seemed like a dangerous combination. She was a goddess of viloent sea storms. She had powers over water and if he stayed in it, she could thrash him badly.

So he calmly and nonchalantly sauntered out of the water, his junk out for all to see.

(Obviously I can't show parts but this is the censored version of him, just a bit less muscular than he actually is)

Uncle Aster

"See ya later, Magus. I'll have a gift for you next time too. You're a good kid, so don't go too crazy."Aster called out to Magus cheerfully before his ass's demeanor, and that of his voice, darkened considerably.

"It wounds me that you kids think I don't how you all feel about me, Cido. At least have the decency to act the part well; hell, I do!" Aster said as he continued searching for Placido's gift. "I just had a similar back-and-forth with Vulcan and he basically said the same thing you are probably thinking right now, Cido. You all have been around for how many centuries now? I expect you to have enough presence of mind, enough respect, and enough sense of decorum to at least indulge an old man (I can say it not you) for a few minutes or years without mentally rolling your eyes. It's only fair, especially if you take the time to remember who had to deal with your idiotic prattling all those centuries ago. In fact, I'm still dealing with it; somehow other civilizations have gotten a whiff of your 'literary endeavors' and are singing your anonymous praises to the stars, literally."

Aster finally came out of the ripple in space holding Placido's gift. It was a rather ancient scroll that looked as if the paper was made from sheets of the night sky. The stars even twinkled as it was turned. Aster didn't even need to explain what it was, Placido would already know.

"Do you have any idea how hard it is to help maintain a universe that thinks you're a useless relic while also multi-tasking to cover the increasing sloth of the other pillars of existence? No? I didn't think so. How about you take some time to rummage through my memories when you finally pull your head out of your ass and remember who it is that you address. Here, happy birthdays, you ungrateful shit. Now, if you'll excuse me, some other gods just got inconceivably more arrogant and stupid, accidentally pushing their solar system into a black hole, in the process. Three guesses on who has to fish them out before that hole becomes a tear."

Without waiting for a response, Aster faded away as he dismantled his current avatar and reconstituted it out on the middle of a large expanse of space where a solar system had once been just 2 minutes prior. "I don't even know why I try to spend time with them. The young ones don't know me, and the old ones have forgotten so much." Aster waved at the unstable black hole that was invisible against the darkness of space, and retrieved the hyper-compressed system from the fathomless depths before the situation deteriorated further. The system poured out of the black hole like oil spilled out of a shattered vase. Aster waited until the system was fully returned before using a strip of physical space to suture the wounds around the once again stable black hole. His form glowed and began to disintegrate from the stress he was placing upon it; it was only a vacation model avatar after all. He checked on the star, planets, and their gods to make sure that each needed no further intervention. Aster suitably admonished the gods for their foolishness before his form completely collapsed in on itself and perished.

((Sorry for the tirade. Something just struck a nerve in the part of my mind where I house the living consciousnesses of my character, specifically Aster and Nox.))

An error in the ebbing of time and space. He was back in the water like before. How this happened, he knew not. Why he remembered leaving the water, he remembers not.

"She was a fool to forget about you so quickly" he reassured him with kindness and honesty.

He was not saying this just as comforting and sentimental tripe. He truly meant it.

Caleb was strange. He found Tyruuk rather sexy for some reason. It was a strange turn-on for sure. Usually people aren't into beast traits like Tyruuk's, especially not snakes. People tend to be creeped out by snakes and rarely see them as objects of sexual desire.

Granted, Caleb knew Tyruuk had no attraction to human-like males like himself. And that was fine. But he thought Tyruuk should know he was not unappreciated and that he was worthy of attention. He didn't like seeing people scorned and with they're confidence low.
