Fantasy Welcome To Olympus (ALWAYS ACCEPTING!)

Uncle Aster

Aster sighed as he replied to Vulcan but the god remained silent. This is one of the main reason he tried to stay the "fun uncle" and never styck around for too long. "I see that my presence annoys you somewhat. I will remove myself. Fair skies, Hephaestus." Leaving the stone bench, Aster stepped off the ground and took a slow walk through the sky. Sometimes, he forgot how hard it was to deal with family. They know me too well, sometimes. He chuckled as he fell from the sky randomly and sought a mortal worthy of a gift from the Father of all stars.

Athena inspected the instrument. Mathematics falling under her Dominion, she was interested in the perpetual machine. Especially seeing as how no mortals under her patronage had been able to make the math work for it.
"What an interesting machine you have there, Mo-Mor-Mok- Friend." She said to him, still being oblivious to his name. She figured Gods were capable of making things like this function but the lack of a need for technology made very few care to. As such, she was intrigued by the nifty little machine. "I am Athena." She greeted extending her hand out in a friendly gesture. "It's a pleasure to meet you."

"That's alright...I like aggression, it's attractive in its own right. I'm just new to this body is all; and you are a bit intimidating, if I'm being honest." Aphrodite said mirroring his previous advance. "I don't think it'd be accurate to say this constitutes as 'normal mating habits'." She giggled, flickering her tongue in his face. Snake charmer "Hehe, yeah one eyed snakes" She hissed under her breath. "... I have always been told I'm excellent at playing the (flesh) flute.."

"Aphrodite!" Dio said, in his current form. He smiled, and wiggled between the two to give her a hug, burying his head in her boobs. "I missed you!" He said, his childishness not ceasing whatsoever.

Well, it's hardly a little machine per say...the whole thing is the centerpiece of the huge, almost infinite room. As Motus hears Athena speak to him, he turns around from the console.

"Motus. God of Technology and Motion, if you recognize me by that title. Still, this machine? That's nothing. Turns out all you needed to create perpetual motion is to first create a source of infinite energy. Not so hard for me, being a patron of energy itself."

He says with a chuffed smile as he looks towards her hand. He quickly pulls of his filthy oil-covered working gloves to reveal well-treated, yet damaged hands. As he shakes her hand with a friendly smile, it is possible to see the scars and slight burn makes he has sustained over the millennia from working in a workshop. He was happy to see Athena - he always wanted to meet her in person. After all, she was the main goddess for things like maths and science - something that Motus is also fond of.

"The pleasure is mine, Athena. I must ask though, what is a higher god like yourself doing down here in the depths of my workshop?"

Placido nodded again. "Because - you could kill me at any time in the future, after you have thwarted the plans of your supposed usurpers, with my intel." He shrugged lightly. "While I am powerful in my own way, I realize that I pale in comparison to you. Yet, for all your power - I have utility you do not. For now, it is in your best interest to exploit my favor. But you know this, already." Another, polite nod, as Placido stopped in front of the other's throne. Say what you will of Thanatos - he has an exquisite sense of drama.

Thanatos tapped his finger on the arm of his throne "interesting"he thought for a second and waved his hand dismissively "fine, find whatever intel you can about my sons and their....helpers" he responds opening the folder "report back to me with whatever useful you may find". He looked up from the folders "and if you even think of betraying me..well ask Nekros what happens when you betray me" he smirked and went back to reading the intel that was in the folder about his possible userpers

Nekros sighed "sure, I'll listen, unless I don't like what you are saying" he stated crossing his arms waiting for Caleb to continue talking

"You didn't like what I had to say about your anger at Nacht, but it was still wise advice" he said neutrally.

"You didn't like it, but if you had listened to it, you wouldn't have hurt Talia" he said with cold, blunt, harsh hitting honesty.

"Sometimes the best advices and warnings are the ones we don't want to hear." He said sagely.

"Heed my wisdom and control your anger" he warned.

"Lest we all end up dead just because poor little fragile tempered Nekros can't handle anybody even slightly criticizing him" he said, only slightly mockingly.

Ah, a slight bait to see if he would give in to anger....Would Nekros do it? If he did it would only prove Caleb's point.

"We ALL get criticized with things we don't want to hear." He almost spat.

"But do you think Caleb the WISE ever lets his anger drive him to hurt his allies?" He asked pointedly.

"Does it look like I give a fuck what 'Caleb the wise' does" he states calmly ignoring the mans bait "see you walk around, thinking you are so high and mighty. So better than everyone else around you. But the truth is your not, your a sad and lonely god." He stated not even bothering to be angry " so how's that for criticism" he smirked "so yea I'll listen to you, but only for Talia's sake, and for the sake of this mission" he stated before opening a portal to New York and stepping through making sure to close it as he exited. His clothes changed as he did, now donning his leather jacket and jeans

Placido

Placido nodded graciously, and turned from the dark man. As he walked out of the room, a small grin threatened the side of his mouth, but failed the break until the moment he stepped into his Mind Palace. While standing among the quiet, blinding void - first a smile, then a chuckle - before a full on thunderous laugh broke from his chest. He had not had this much fun in years. He could not recall ever having had his mind run in so many directions at the same time. He flexed his hands and tried to calm his breathing as giddiness flowed freely through him. He felt happy. He felt purpose. His plans were in motion for the most part.

glass office.jpg

He teleported to his office, a beautiful scene where the sun sat high among the icy mountains of Switzerland. Here, in the snow stood a glass building where he kept all of his most secure memories. Those of the greatest power. This was also where he did most of his work. The area itself had an ethereal feel about it, for here the barriers between Placido's mind, and that of the real world were thinnest. This would be where he would build his Olympus.

He set up a system of memories, to be delivered to Thanatos - constantly updating him on the general pastimes of his supposed enemies. He spent a few hours running through the minds of the others, as well as the minds of those who interacted with them in the past - creating very detailed and complex diagrams indicating powers, styles, common and miraculous feats. He then spent a few more hours running through everything, memorizing them for himself and them simplifying them for the god of death purely for the sake of brevity.

Now... he needed to find the guards for this realm. That will have to wait. Once the god of death had taken out his enemies, he would continue with his plan to endear himself further to the god. Who better to offer servants, well trained in the art of death- than the god of death himself. It would take a while. But Placido had time. Once his home was secure, he would bring Maw here, and feed him the anti venom, making him essentially invincible. With both the god eater and the god of death protecting this realm, no one would dare near it. Which means that he could start recruiting the Think Tank.... He smiled to himself. Now now... don't get hasty.

He teleported back to Olympus. He needed to find a body guard. He was not sure yet who that might be. Best to look about... do some window shopping. Nacht was powerful - but in the same vein he was. He needed a physical barrier - to compliment his own mental prowess... but who could that be. He summoned a drink - and started walking about.

{open for interaction - it does not have to be someone qualified for the role he is looking for. I just noticed that everyone is busy. If none are open as of now, he will be at the bar- taking a well deserved drink}

Magus appeared in a puff of white smoke sitting in a chair at the bar. "Scotch...neat" he said to he bartender who handed him the drink. He downed the foul tasting drink slightly gagging from the burn of it going down his throat. He was only drinking it because alcohol always seemed to get rid of his headaches from using to much of his powers "another please" he mumbled and took the drink from the bartender "better yet just give me the bottle" he stated taking the bottle of scotch from the bartenders hand. He looked over and saw Placido "his aura.....feels familiar " he mumbled "hey, you" he called out to the slightly familiar god

Sad and lonely, those things are illusions. I am not sad or lonely. I have learned to LET GO of such emotions. Better than everyone? No. I do not believe myself BETTER than anyone, just WISER. He's only saying that because HE thinks I'm better than HIM. He has am inferiority complex. He's jealous of me and my wisdom. He secretly wishes he could be like me, control his emotions like I do. And so he finds my wisdom an annoyance simply because he is too weak to have it for himself. Nekros is weak man, born from an even weaker father, who comes from an infinitely weaker line of similarly WEAK men. He is weak, his bloodline is weak and he will not survive the winter. Makes me wonder if this boy is even worth teaming up with. If he gets on the throne of death, he will become more powerful than ever. Do I REALLY want such a childish boy to wield so much power? What is to say he won't just assault my life once his mission is complete and he no longer has use for my wisdom? I think perhaps it's wise for me to just let Nekros die alone in his foolishness.... Leave this alliance led by a weak and childish boy...

If only it weren't for Talia. She's still with him. And it is likely she will REMAIN by his side until the very end. She's loyal. Too much so. She could get hurt. If Nekros continues down the path of wrath, he might end up hurting her again. Caleb liked Talia, she was innocent and sweet. She didn't need to be hanging around or allying herself with the likes of someone as awful as Nekros. I need to convince her to let Nekros die on his own... I doubt I can do so, but perhaps I should at least try to warn her of how bad the situation is.

If i the end I can't convince her, I'll likely end up staying, but only so that I can protect Talia. I couldn't care less what happened to Nekros. He could die and I would be tempted to do nothing to prevent it. In fact, once he's on the throne, I'd likely plot to try and get him killed. We don't need anymore childish fools welding great power.... We already have Donald Trump and Kim Jung Un for that. I'd only protect him so long as the action I took would also protected Talia. Nekros will protect Talia, so I grudgingly have to protect him too. But make no mistake, if we can kill Thanatos by sacrificing Nekros, I would do it. I don't care if Nekros dies in the process, so long as Talia lives and Thanatos is dead. I don't care.

He opened up a portal in the desert and walked through it. He went to where Talia last was. Cychotic Cychotic

Placido

Placido had been sipping carefully at a rather beautifully matured single grain, while staring at the beautifully painted - if rather lewd - murals on the roof of the bar, while sat at a table a few feet away from where the bartender had been entertaining someone who seemed to be in a mood. He had been very much inclined to ignore him for the moment, and enjoy his drink - when he heard the irate tones call to someone else in the room. As the only other person here was himself - he supposed he was not going to be allowed this small reprieve.

He looked at the boy - while taking a sip and almost snorted loudly. He kept the majority of the undignified act at bay, but he could feel the alcohol burn the back of his nose. Where the fates being especially vindictive today. At least this one looked nice enough in principle... but then again, he had been effectively planning both his and his brother's - along with two others's murders by said brother's father for a while now. Was this why cats played with mice before killing them? Because at the moment he felt so intrigued.

"Greetings Magus. Have a seat. Shall I order you a milkshake? That does not seem to be agreeing with you..." He chuckled cheerily, while taking another sip.

Talia startled from her reading position as Caleb stepped into the room. She looked up, giving him a wide smile. "Hey, you're back!" The goddess hobbled over, giving him a brief hug. "Where did the two of you go? Where's Nekros? Why didn't you tell me you were leaving?"

"You still need to heal" he said wisely, ushering her to get back to resting.

Talia frowned as she sat back down on the bed. "If you just went to discuss your alliance, then why do you look so...angry? Or down?" She pursed her lips. "Is Nekros being difficult again?"

The goddess sighed, flicking her wrist to pull a book towards her. She placed it on her lap and spoke. "I think I'm okay for now. And you're not telling me something."

Placido smiled at the boy. "It must breath a father's heart... the day his son does not recognize his aura. Not that I am your father... naturally. But that might be the slightly somber tone you are sensing. Don't worry... like most things it will wash off over time. Please sit." He gestured to the chair, leaning back in his, straightening his shoulders and crossing his leg. "I am Placido of Memory. Charmed." He took another sip of his drink.

(Err... Caleb isn't showing any emotions right now so... And he doesn't really feel anger in the same way others do so....)

"Nekros is a weak man" Caleb said simply, void of emotions.

"He is a weak man, born of an even weaker father, from an infinitely weaker bloodline" he said truthfully, no emotion in his word whatsoever, just truth.

((apologies for misunderstanding))

Talia looked up at Caleb with a frown. "You're still not telling me anything." She decided not to argue with him; she was too weak to get into any more conflict. "What's going on?"

Nacht disappeared once more, looking among the machinery and such.

Tyruuk made himself look as big as possible without opening his hood, his muscles flexing in a natural way. Females were usually attracted to strong males, although this was Aphrodite he kept his basic natural habits. He nuzzled his head to hers, his jawline sliding against hers. He was about to speak when an annoyance pushed the two serpents apart, making Tyruuk hiss loudly in annoyance and his hood opened up very quickly. His coils loosened from around Aphrodite, disdain obvious in his body language as he stood tall.

(By truth I meant truth in his WORDS. His unfiltered, uncensored opinion on it. He was not swayed by anger, nor by any emotions, making him speak truer than most. I was saying this was truth TO HIS OPINIONS because it was not clouded by any deception or emotion. It was his opinion, free from filtering, free from his anger. Besides that, Caleb tends to analyze a lot of things in multiple different ways. If anybody's got ideas on what the truth is, it would be him. Granted, they cannot be verified. But he tends to be a pretty observant guy when it comes to all that he can see. We'll just have to see it he was right or not. He has been wrong before so we'll see if he was right now won't we?)
