Official RP :

Welcome to Doxos
You have been aboard the Kyrptoria for nearly one hundred years, frozen in cryosleep. You are among approximately thirty-thousand other people, all from various backgrounds and with special talents. Some are technological specialists, mechanics, architects, mid-wives, doctors, nurses, the list of occupations could go on. Everyone is vital to the colonization of Doxos.
Doxos is the only planet discovered that could withstand human survival, but it took longer than expected to prepare the civilians, fault proof the ship and ensure that Doxos would be perfect for colonization.

You had to endure three years of training to be able to be on the Kyrptoria, three years of physical and mental training. Perfecting your expertise and ensuring that you would assist in colonization of the new planet.

What happened to Earth? Its still there, though it may not be for much longer. The planet is still dying, while slowly, scientists have been unable to stop the process. The planet naturally cannot sustain human life for much longer. Which is why colonization Team A has been sent.

Your friends and family? Condolences, but it has been one hundred years. Who you remember, while they may still be vivid in your memories, are long gone. You have no more connections to Earth, your new home is Doxos.

Kryptoria is the largest travel ship to date, equip with a large pool, gym, tennis court, gaming area, social room, and many other time consuming activities.
Cabins are spacious, all offering a look into the beautiful abyss, though for those who find the view nauseating they can instead turn the window into a projector that displays different weather sequences, animals or even just calming themes.
The cabins are luxurious, perhaps the last luxuries the passengers on Kyrptonia may experience for awhile.

The Ecosystem? Its incredibly similar to earth. Beautiful, untouched by man and pure. Yet, do not take the beauty for weakness or peace. There are unknown animals waiting to be discovered, to be tracked and to be analyzed for threat level and possibility of human consumption.

Welcome to Doxos.

~ Drama is crucial, but don't let it get out of hand.

Calling dibs on a crypod. Medical staff or security staff.
Yes everyone will have been in cryo! Its likely going to start with either everyone on the ship the day before it lands on Doxos (everyone will have been awake for 3 months) or just as the ship lands.

I may in the future allow people to make an indigenous humanoid civilization but for now, it will only be Colonization Team A.

Count me in, long as there's room on that security team

I could also do a character per role if need be, it'd just take time to make their CS depending on the detail needed for the CS.

I'm sure there will be plenty of room! Lol I havent made any restrictions on roles since I'm not sure how many would truly be interested.

I'll definitely work up a cs for everyone to take their time with and work on.

I figure any open occupations will be played by npc until more join to take their place. I'm unsure when I'd launch the actual rp, but hopefully soon depending on how many are interested ❤

I am currently making an extra page for the environment and ecosystem to add more depth for you all! It may take me all day but my friend and I are really buzzing back and forth with awesome ideas I'm sure you all will love!!

If you have any ideas as well, feel free to pm me. Or if maybe you find some cool images you would like to see me add, send them too me and I'll do my best!!

Hey! This looks super cool, I would def be interested- Maybe as a woman who works as a population specialist? Her initial training when she was young would have been similar to like an ob/gyn, but as she got older she moved more into the numbers and trends of population growth and decline. She's probably one of the people more involved in the macro scale of things, checking the colony's agriculture growth against the population projections and worrying that some unanticipated pathogen on Doxos will wipe out too high a percentage of their new society. I imagine in the three year training period she had to get recertified in midwifery and medical practices- No point in having someone who only looks at data when there are more practical tasks they could be helping with!

I might also be interested in playing some sort of structural engineer, or maybe a younger guy who is an agricultural worker? I shall think on it!

One thing I'm not totally clear on:

Are all 30,000 colonizers on the same ship, or are some of them expected to be arriving in later 'shifts'? You also mention 'Colonization Team A', does that refer to the people on the Kyrptoria or a subset of them that are going planet-side first?

All 30,000 are on the same ship! Everyone on the ship preparing to arrive at Doxos is Team A, and they have yet to hear of any teams following them but Team B should have been sent out 10 years after team A departed.
