Subject: Welcome to the Academy! [Headmaster's Address]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Greetings Students,
As you are well aware, you are all students of the prestigious Celadus Academy starting today, and as you may have deduced, I am Headmaster Brahms. Our prestigious academy was founded on the ideals of bringing military discipline into the lives of the new generation, this was then compounded by the idea that to understand the effects of training, you would fight each other for favoritism in the academy. In this address I will outline a few basic practices and rewards for you new cadets.
Practices:
- You will reveille each morning at this hour and report in a half hour for drills
- At eight you will be dismissed back to your barracks, dormitory, or complex to dress and then return to the mess hall for breakfast, which ends at nine-thirty
- You will attend classes until noon, after that you will undergo more physical training until fifteen-hundred
- Amenities are granted based on rank, your current rank is determined by your scores on the entrance exams
- Your grades will determine 50% of your rank
- Any and all disputes will be settled by manner of duel
- Each duel will bequeath a certain amount of points to both the victor and the defeated for accomplishments in battle
- Points will be taken for shameful failures in battle or misconduct.
- Your rank is determined by your point count, there are three ranks.
- The Auxiliary, made up of the lowest third of the academy, as the bottom third you will sleep in group barracks, eat in the standard mess, and attend the classes in the old campus until you rise from the rank.
- The Legion, made up of all standard students, sleep in the dormitories, two to a room, eat in the open food court, and attend classes in the New Campus west end until you rise or fall from the rank.
- The Legatus, made up of the top 100 students, each has a section of the private complex to themselves, eat in the Officer's Club Restaurant, and attend classes in the New Campus east end until they graduate or fall from the rank.
- Answer to all orders of school officials
- Answer all challenges to duels
Rewards:
- Those in the Auxiliary are granted no special amenities, you will work to gain entrance to The Legion in the basic facilities, until then you are not allowed on the New Campus and must remain in uniform when in the campus town.
- Those in the Legion are granted access to the comprehensive sports training area, recreational swimming pool, state of the art library and archive, and are granted the ability to wear civilian clothes in the campus town. Each student in the legion is granted a monetary stipend at the start of each month.
- Legatus are granted access to all areas on campus including the private pool, recreational clubs, equestrian center, and can have materials from the archive delivered to their room. Each Legatus is granted five times the stipend a Legionary receives.
For any further questions please consult the student guidebook or a faculty member. Welcome to the academy, I look forward to seeing you all clash in duels of flashing steel!
