Chess is just an endless rolling ball of hyperactive energy. Tired? What is that? Chess can easily keep someone on their toes with how hyper and talkative fae can be. Fae enjoys making new friends with others and fae has a huge habit of rambling to new people that fae just met without a second thought in faer head. Chess is your classic social butterfly extrovert with a lot to talk about. Chess cannot sit still for long periods of time, feeling the need to move around and find somebody to talk to. Once fae gets to talking, there's no stopping until fae's done with whatever subject was being talked about. Once Chess is your friend, fae's your friend for life. Chess has a habit of forgetting things and will forget that fae forgets things. If you can keep up with Chess' hyperactivity, then you'll get along just fine!

Cinnamon

Cinnamon is a female Nanuqsaurus from the Late Cretaceous period. She is extremely protective of Chess and will go out of her way to charge at you with open jaws if you get to close to Chess and Cinnamon doesn't know you or trust you. If Chess trusts you, then Cinnamon will likely trust you as well. She has a knack for shiny objects and will attempt to snag them to hoarde them or bring them to Chess. It is possible to ride Cinnamon for transporation but she will only allow Chess to do so. Other than that, Cinnamon will act as a guard and attack dinosaur for the group, alerting them to danger and protecting the others.

Chess won a writing competition held by Jurassic World. Chess chose Edmontosaurus as faer subject and faer essay on the herbivorous dinosaur was chosen and that's how fae got faer ticket to Camp Cretaceous.

Oh boy, Chess has a huge plant and dinosaur theme going on in faer bunk! Plants everywhere! There are artifical plant lights hanging from the wall, bunk beds with little plant lights on top and plant themed bedsheets and comforters, a dinosaur fossil printed rug, little potted plants on top shelves... it's safe to say Chess is fully going out with the decorating here. Chess doesn't mind sharing a bunk with someone else! In fact, fae would love the company!

  ⎯⎯ Marce or Marcie / All of these are variations of his long first name, and most of their companions call them this.
  ⎯⎯ Owlet / Their father has blessed them with this nickname, (or was it their mother?), and it seemed fitting for the young child with big, rounded, almost owl eyes. In their childhood, they are sure that he referred to them as this with a loving tone. The word wasn’t always drawled from his lips with such a condescending and half-secret smile. Always going to be his little owlet, he says. And they think but don't say that birds are supposed to leave the nest at some point. He calls them this because he doesn’t see them as anything but a child. A thing that he refused to get attached to. (But isn’t the usage of a nickname already an attachment in itself?)

They finds themself suspicious of others flirting with him, much less actually taking an interest in them, and that makes them wary when it comes to romance. They are convinced that most people want something from them; the thought that someone can be genuinely fond of them, much less fond enough of them to want to hold his hand or kiss him or actually be with him, doesn’t even pass their mind.

  Standing at 5'8" in height, Mars has a slender build, with freckles journeying across their face and down arms, from the time he's spent out in the sun. With long, slender limbs and an ethereal presence that seems to almost defy gravity when they moves, eyes follow Mars, whether they realize it or not. They burn but don't tan, and their hair, which is naturally brown, is dyed a warm honey blonde and sits at their shoulders; however, due to sensory issues with hair, they often have their hair clipped and tied up in spiky buns, in order to keep it out of their face. Their eyes are bright blue, and he has a faint scar on the side of their nose from a past nose stud. They enjoy wearing bright clothes, thrifted unloved pieces than can be made new again, as they like to add their own personal flare to their outfits; things as simple as seashells to run along the hem of a shirt they cropped up, sewing fabrics together to make a long skirt, crafting an anklet to wear, etc.

  How'd They End Up Here?:

  Mars would tell you it was completely incidental, that they didn't deserve their ticket, because they never sought it out. Months earlier, they assigned to write an article critiquing Camp Cretaceous, fearful that its private practices could be overshadowing larger issues within the company and how it's run. While Mars's article was a harsh analysis of what bringing back creatures that are supposed to be dead might mean in the bigger picture of the human selfishness ("where do we draw the line when man himself can manufacture life, when do we become God?". To put it simply, a very Kafka-esque paper.), the results proved inconclusive without seeing the way the camp operates with their own eyes. Only hours after publishing, Mars received an email from their boss urging them to "dig deeper". The tickets arrived in their mailbox not long after.
  

  Luggage:

  Unlike the rest of Mars's life, his luggage is neat, tidy, and cleanly tucked away under their bunk for most of the experience. They've noticeably overpacked, hauling with them a large leather suitcase as well as a smaller saddle bag.
  
  The saddlebag carries with it all the everyday necessities, their car keys (attached to a rather obnoxious lanyard── covered in pins of their favorite anime characters, as well as a small plush keychain of GIR from Invader Zim), [/I]their inhalera small pouch[/I] (containing hand sanitizer, hand lotion, and their everyday lip combo), a colorful pill case (containing every pain killer, mint, and laxative someone might want and more), a paperback copy of The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka (well-loved and an obvious re-read), a disposable camera, their phone, a stack of notebooks (because it was a no-go on their computer coming along), an impressive pen and marker set (for said notebooks), and their pocketbook (containing a Trader Joe's gift card and a handful of coins).
  
  Their suitcase contains mostly clothes for any occasion, reflecting their eccentric sense of style. Sundresses, sweaters, turtlenecks, all vintage and sporting the Mars touch, upcycled skirts and denim overalls (ripped jeans are a sensory nightmare). An oversized brown leather jacket that they are hardly seen without. A small pouch containing some of their go-to makeup products for everyday wear, and various skincare items. Their toothbrush, toothpaste, and an eensy bottle of mouthwash. Hygiene products like shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, the whole nine yards. Various bottles of perfume, all packed out of fear of smelling bad. A small bag containing their hair clips and bobby-pins, and an emergency pair of running shoes, just in case.
  

  Bunk:

  Mars's bunk is wholly maximalist, reflective of their mental state. They've taken up a bottom bunk, letting the person they bunk with take the top if they so please. Their green gingham duvet is messily tucked into the bottom side rail, their pink silk pillows lopsided and only slightly wrinkled. A mushroom pillow sits in the nook of the bed, the ideal pillow to lay on for reading. An army of jellycats (a star, a dragon, and a bashful bunny) sits on their bed, delicately placed with care. On the walls of their bunk, postcards from friends back at home and coworkers are tacked to the walls, amongst their favorite album posters. Small, twinkling star-shaped lights twinkle over head, cautiously taped around a series of dream catchers.

  history:

  Their backstory is simple, almost ordinary, which is probably why it’s so difficult to pin down what’s really made them who they are. They grew up in a home where silence was golden and words were measured. Their parents were the kind of people who didn’t raise their voices, who communicated with soft glances and the occasional nod. It was a quiet, calm place, a home where nothing ever seemed out of place. They weren’t the type to make waves, not even with their only child, whom they had with an easygoing confidence. Sure, there were times when he would mess up or get caught sneaking around, but for the most part, their world was as smooth as the pages of the journals their mother kept.
  
  Their parents never pushed them, never set expectations. Their approach to raising Mars was almost too passive, perhaps. They never demanded much. Just… be good. Be happy. Be yourself. He was often left to their own devices, which meant they spent a lot of time with their nose buried in books or scribbling their thoughts into notebooks. Writing had always come naturally to them. From the moment he could hold a pen, words flowed out like they had been waiting their whole life to escape. And in school, that was how he stood out. They double majored in journalism and psychology, with a minor in chemistry, a combination of interests that reflected their analytical mind, their fascination with people, and his love for the written word. It wasn’t an easy path, but it was his, and they liked it that way. It wasn’t until their second year that he took a step into the professional world—joining a journalistic magazine company named Glow as an intern. It was a small gig, but it gave them a taste of what real work was like, and they loved it.
  
  They threw themself into his work with the same quiet determination that had always marked his life. Over the next few years, they continued working at Glow, learning the ropes and growing into his role as a columnist and blogger. There were moments of doubt, as there are for everyone, but they knew one thing for certain: this was what they was meant to do. Writing had always been their escape, their passion, their way of understanding the world. And now, it was their career.
  
  It’s been almost three years now since he became a full-time columnist, and they still love their job. There’s something thrilling about writing a piece, seeing it come to life on a page, knowing that their words are reaching someone, even if they'll never meet them. But it's not just the writing they love; it’s the experiments. The way each article is a little like an experiment in human behavior, psychology, and the world at large. They continue to be fascinated by how people think and feel, how their actions often tell a story bigger than the one they set out to tell.
  
  It’s not the loudest life. It’s not the most exciting life. But it’s theirs. And for them, that’s enough.

Loves to sit on Mars's shoulder or on the top of their head, makes him feel larger and cooler than he is. Likes to playfully taunt the other, larger dinosaurs in the crew, but also likes to play in general. Very social creature. If he does literally anything you ask him to, he expects a treat (even if you didn't ask him to do ANYTHING). Pongo must be friends with any and everyone he meets, and if you aren't down with that, that's a you problem.

She stands a bit higher than your average American with a height of five foot and seven inches, along with a slender body that could almost be mistaken for an athlete's because of her love for physical activities.
  
  Her hair is dyed blonde from the roots that fades to brown by the ends, it falls down in gentle waves to her hips. Every so often her hair is tied up with locks of blond hair framing her face.   The second daughter of a known Conglomerate Family. The Young Co. started off as a construction business that ventured into different industries as time passed by. Her parents are both businessmen through and through and only needed one heir to their business. Imagine their surprise when Kallista arrived into their lives.
  
  They gave her everything that she needed and wanted. She was spoiled with things that she craved and they never gave her what she needed from her parents; time and attention. Her golden child of a brother got all that, even her relationship with him is strained. She was completely unaware of his own struggles, and the same goes for him.
