Realistic or Modern We Were Dead Already { Zombie RP }

Winter is coming back:) Nothing serious, really. It snows in March, they managed to loot a few houses and had a spar with a clicker, then Nie got into an argument with the staircase, and it beat him up. Now Mitchell and Nie had a little heart-to-heart, and holed up in the suspiciously clean house while they are snowed in:)

Okay. Thanks. Both of you. Might join you soon once the snow decreases. Let me find a shelter for my character.

I've had an idea for an unusual character for a zombie work for a while now. Basically, the idea is to capitalize on the fact that the virus is, well, a virus. It mutates rapidly and unpredictably, and not all mutations are as dire as the strain seen most often. This character is an infectee whose strain of virus acts more like a parasite than a puppeteer. It didn't feed on his brain. Instead, the strategy behind it is to replace his cardiac muscle, lungs, blood, and skin with a viral tissue, creating a situation where the victim is still sapient and goes about their lives as best they can in a kind of half-life, looking not unlike a leper. Thus, the virus uses public spaces as a vector, by guaranteeing that the victim lives far longer than an ordinary infected and peacefully congregates with other people.

However, while my character is intelligent, he's still an infected, and breathes out the virus everywhere he goes. Other infected, even the normal ones, recognize him as one of their own and don't attack him as a result. There is a colony of similar individuals in Wyoming, where this strain broke out. This character's goal is to get himself from there to a doctor in one of the West Coast safe zones to help create a cure or a vaccine of some kind. He wears a scavenged hazmat suit to prevent others from breathing in his virus.

So, basically, zombie leper pilgrim. Could this work or should I forget about it?

@AidanCee Sorry, I have to sleep for a while, my tooth hurts too much, and I've taken a few pills. I'll try to get back early in the morning before work:) and it looks like I'll be able to go out and buy a smartphone with net the next week. Maybe it will help... :)

Oh, and this time, you will be the one making the sacrifice to the Great Connection Gods. I'm freshly out of chargers.

I've already lit the fire. Hope you're feeling better soon!!

Just notifying you that I'll go to sleep soon, as I'll have to get up early for the fair. As long as I have connection, I'll be up tomorrow, though. And I've bought a smartphone, after all:) I'll just have to change my phone plan and SIM card next week:)

@AidanCee Yep, that would be definitely better. What about we roll for it, if you don't want to wait? Let's use some random chart if he finds the room, is he friendly etc...

I've never rolled before. Like I literally don't know.

I don't think he should be friendly though. Otherwise he's just an addition to the storyline

Well, then it will be Mitchell's role to fight... Nie would fall over very fast, adrenalin runs out quickly... I've never rolled here before, too. :) What about you look up the dice roller here, and I'll make a chart if he is familiar with the place, how fast he will find the room if not, how fast would he get in etc...

I'm all sorts of confused. But yeah if you can rig something that will decide what happens and when that would be good.

I mean. He COULD take hostages and leave us where we are. So we stay together?

Not a clue. Me and @LadyStanhope seem to have accidentally hijacked the RP :-s

True:) I've seen them online, but since the first post @TheFlyingWriter seemed to disappear...
Alright then. What do you think of the character idea I suggested? I imagine it would expand and/or conflict with the game's existing lore, so I wanted to run it by you before I made a sheet.

It'd work for me. But we can't give a okays as its not our RP

We're also looking for someone to play this dude who's not going to be nice. But we can get him either. It's difficult

Okay:D I'll rig up a chart for what might happen, depending on how you roll. I need you to use a d20, I put down random numbers for what follows. I put down every possibility I can think of, in the favour of your scenario, but with more factors.

I'll also need you to roll with a d4 - I've rolled this for Nie for a while, but let's make his random bouts more random. He might put up a fight for Mitchell:)

@Genon

I agree - you should ask @TheFlyingWriter, maybe in PM. I've feel bad already for hijacking the thread...

Okay. But what's a d20 or d4?
