Wildpelt looked at her and he wrapped his tail over her, "I'm here for you, Swirldwhisper." He pushed her some wet moss to drink, "you tell me when you're ready. Tonight I'll give you herbs to sleep."

Swirledwhisper smiled softly and nodded, licking at the moss and sighing softly.

"Is there anything you want? Prey?" He asked curiously

"No. Tell me about you. What do you like?"

"Hmm...What do you mean?" He asked, "likes?"

"What do you like to do? What kind of things do you like? Stuff like that." She said softly

"Well...I love the help cats. I love sunsets and talking. Just...just being a medicine cat."

He smiled, then he asked, "anything you particularly like?"

He got some more moss, "here you go."

Swirledwhisper nodded and lapped at the soaking moss.

He smiled to her, "Good, I'm glad to see you're drinking."

After more water, he sat down and he handed her some herbs, "These should help you sleep. I want you to try right now."

Swirledwhisper looked up reluctantly, then at the poppy seeds in front of her.

He sat down, "I'll be right here the whole time, I promise"

Swirledwhisper sighed and lapped up the seeds, settling herself in a tight ball.

Wildpelt walked over and he ran his tail along her back, "When you start to get a nightmare, keep saying 'it isn't real, it' isn't real, I am a warrior.' Say that over and over and eventually it will go away."

Swirledwhisper shivered against the touch, and closed her eyes tightly.

He whispered, "Shh...go to sleep my brave warrior."

Swirledwhisper then started to doze off, body giving into the darkness.

Wildpelt watched her intently, stroking her back the whole time.

Swirledwhisper started to whimper and was soon writhing, clawing desperately at nothing, stretching out in disfigures.


Then suddenly her head tilted back and she started to speak.


"The Clan will fall. Ashes will rise."

Wildpelt listened to ti and he remembered it before he quickly wrapped himself around her, "You're a brave warrior, fight it!" He pulled her closer to keep her comfortable.
