Swirledstar hopped back up onto the HighRock. "Cats of Shadowclan! I must appoint an new deputy before moonhigh, as it is almost now. I know only of one cat that would be appropriate to put in this position. I choose my brother Kinkjaw."

Wildpelt nodded at the decision. Despite the fact that they were related, Kinjaw was a strong cat and had proved himself on the battlefirled for months on end.

Swirledstar started the chorus of calls of his name. "Kinkjaw! Kinkjaw!"

He smiled and he gently laid his head on kinjaw's shoulder when he trodded by to show his approval.

Kinkjaw smiled and nodded to the medicine cat, murmuring, "Thank you."


Swirledstar jumped down to the ground and sighed, worn.

He smiled and he suddenly saw the sate Swirldstar was in, "Come to the medicine den."

 

[Jay Windse]

Swirledstar looked at him. "I want to sleep in my den."

 

[BeyondOblivion]

He made a motion to come whether she wanted to or not.

 

[Jay Windse]

She sighed and followed, grumbling to herself.

 

[BeyondOblivion]

When she was inside he suddenly muzzled her, "I love you."

Swirledstar smiled and blushed, and she looked at him, gently kissing his nose. "I-I love you too." She murmured.

"I need...an excuse to share a den...."

Swirledstar murmured. "Then you should just come into mine. It won't be that unusual. All of the warriors share a den." She smiled.

He nodded, "if they ask, I fell asleep watching you for signs of whitecough."

Swirledstar smiled. "I know." She murmured, and got up, licking the medicine cat's cheek before starting out of the den.

He followed her and sat down after her, looking at her, "So how are you?"

 

[Jay Windse]

"Tired. Overwhelmed. Doubtful. Grieving. Angry." Swirledstar sighed. "Negative in general.

He looked at her and he slowly wrapped his tail around her and tugged her up to hsi body, "Well can I add, comfortable to that list?"

Swirledstar smiled and rested her head across his chest. "Yes, you can." She murmured with a soft smile and look up at Wildpelt

He smiled nad he wrapped his body around her, "If asked, I fell asleep while watching you...."

Swirledstar smiled. "I know. Shh. Go to sleep.' She murmured.

He closed his eyes and gently slid into the dream land.
