Back Story: Dax Sedren grew up in the plains of Kansas, hit heavy by the drought his town was a small speck of life in the dried up desert of the plains. At the age of 17 he left Kansas and headed to Wisconsin hoping to survive the dangerous storms but at least he was away from the desert. He worked on the farms surrounding Milwaukee and became a gifted botanist under the direction of the head botanist of agriculture. At the age of 18 he found his girlfriend and soon to be wife Anna Lannis after he had broken his arm after a machine mishap. He was her first patient as a full fledged nurse and they fell for each other immediately. At 19 and married to Anna everyone learned of the news that the world was dying and a organization Lazarus was accepting any and all people wanting to become space living people and possibly save the human race from extinction. Without thinking both Dax and Anna left Milwaukee for Nevada where the ARKs were being launched from. They were both accepted into the program due to their skills. Dax now finds himself strapped in next to Anna, the scars still soar where they had sterilized and taken samples of his DNA for future generations of children when they reached the planet.

James was born in a small village, his family was fairly rich and he excelled in school before choosing to become a member of the Air Force. There he met a woman who he later fell in love with and married. Out of thousands James was chosen to go though the rigrious training of becoming an astronaut and he married the woman he had met back as a pilot, however his wife, still being a pilot took a bad crash and became paralysed from the neak down. They soon adopted a baby boy (his wife's body was unable to go though the stress of pregnancy) and all was well except when he realised that his first launch was in the ARK2 and due to being paralysed his wife couldn't go with him, he went on the ark with his adopted son.

Back Story: Charley's past is one of many ups and downs, twists and turns, and countless tragedies. It is also far too long to be told here. Instead, for the sake of brevity, what will be told is the - much shorter - tale of how he found himself on the ARK2.


It was by chance, in fact, that he met Howard Stine, while passing through a small border town between New Mexico and Arizona. Charley had stumbled upon Stine's home late one evening looking for a place to stay the night, and to his surprise Stine had graciously obliged. Within the home Charley was greeted with the sight of numerous machines and contraptions he had never seen the like of before. Some of them resembled human beings, but others looked more machine like. They were robots, in a wide variety, all being based on mechanical principals rather than computer like electronics. Stine had kept a great deal of mechanical robots scattered haphazardly about his home- as he himself was a great inventor - and liked to work on them intermittently. Charley asked Stine about the robots - how they worked and how they were made - and Stine told him more than most would care to hear. Stine talked all night, and much of the next day, and soon enough went from talking to showing and then from there on to teaching. For days Stine continued to teach Charley all he knew about robotics and the mechanical nature of the creations, and Charley continued to learn, all the while the two becoming closer and closer to one another. Soon Charley had become like a son to Stine, and Stine like a dad to him. By the time the ticket for the ARK2 arrived, the pair had been together for nearly 4 years and grown exceptionally close. Stine said nothing of the ticket to Charley, until it came time to depart just a few days before the ARK2 was set to leave. Stine sat Charley down and explained to him all he could about the ticket, and about how he had had Charley's name put on it instead. Stine had claimed to be dying and that Charley - whom he said was his son - would be filling his place. It took some time but Stine was finally able to convince Charley to take the ticket. Charley hadn't wanted to take Stine's place, but Stine insisted.

I like it but quick question, stein was a engineer of sorts but what were the machines? Gentics? 3D printers of sorts? Somthing like that? I want you to clear up what kind of machines that stein taught your character before you start. After that your golden.

Stine*... Alright, I made some changes to put the focus on Robotics, Particularly the mechanical side of them.
