The Wandering Storyteller
Alright I've fixed up Rex. Just ignore that one. I assume that not growing in size, will stop the massive weight gain

Accepted.Name: Ben Melbourne.
Alias: Rex
Age: 30
Gender: male
Appearance: unruly black hair, with a thin build, and slitted reptilian eyes.
Skills: knowledge of paleontology
Powers: shape shifting(specifically into dinosaurs. Although his forms do not extend his height)
Gear: a small sidearm
Weaknesses: changing form can take quite a bit of energy. Dinosaur skin may be thick but it is by no means bulletproof. Different forms have different abilities and limitations.
Moral alignment: Neutral. (But tries to be good)
Bio: Ben spent most of his early years as a dinosaur loving Californian. As he grew up he worked extremely hard to earn a scholarship to follow his dream of becoming a paleontologist.
He was working in a museum during the incident the different DNA around him fused with his body. The surprise alone turned him into a rampaging allosaurus. He broke his way out of the building and charged around town before running out of energy, and returning back to himself in a semi comatose state.
Other: Ben is a friendly person with only mediocre control of his shape shifting. (He can turn into a flying reptile, as well as a mosasaur)
Accepted. Welcome to RPN. If you need any help with anything around here I'll be more than happy to help.Name: Monika Schuster
Alias: Rasch
Age: 23
Gender: Female
Appearance: Caucasian with dark green eyes, and black, shoulder-length hair. Prominent, mildly freckled cheek bones and nose-bridge, and a slight overbite with rather thin lips. Lanky frame, particularly legs. Burn scars on her chest.
Skills: Determination. Whether she likes what she's doing or not, Monika isn't one to give up on a challenge, physical or mental.
Curious. Monika can't stand not knowing something. Whether the means to knowing is eavesdropping, or simply looking it up.
Powers: Speed. Monika moves at what seems to be at least three times as fast as normal. Whether it be, talking, walking, running, or thinking, she seems to be out of tune with the rest of the world's turtle pace.
Enhanced healing. Monika heals wounds, broken bones, and other injures slightly faster, but in a less-than-optimal condition. Bones will be brittle for as long as any recovering human's, injuries will scar and be sensitive. In the end, it takes just as long for wounds to heal to optimal condition as anyone, but a broken leg will only keep her off her feet for a minute at best.
Gear/Weapons: Leather Aviator Goggles
iPod Nano with a cracked screen, and a single white earbud with a ripped second cord.
Weaknesses/Limitations: Heat and burns affect her more than normal, and will heal even slower than an average person's.
Thin frame. She may be fast, but she's still small and is easily hurt. She can use her speed to apply more force, but physics don't pity the dumb.
ADHD.
Pacifism.
Curious. Monika often gets herself into trouble eavesdropping or going through others things.
Moral Alignment: Pacifist. Although she won't back down to aggressors, she isn't one to kill, and attempts to keep the peace.
Bio: Sun shining down on her denim jacket, slightly cloudy, about 20 degrees, beautiful weather for running. Her significant other didn't seem to agree, always wondering why she liked it so much. "All you do is move your legs and tire yourself out, what's so good about that?" He would ask. It annoyed her, sure, but he was still great. She was headed on a coffee run. He'd ask why they didn't just drive there, she said 'why not?', he insisted she'd spill the coffee on the way back, she'd say 'I'll just walk'. It was good fun watching him squirm in annoyance. She'd missed the streets of Leipzig, but America wasn't too bad either. She'd met Roger, for one. Wait, where was she? "Scheiße!" She'd passed it. Always getting distracted. Or maybe never paying attention to anything. No big deal, though. More time to run. She took off her jacket and tied it around her waste.
After she'd secured the goods, she started to make her way back to the apartment. The music in her buds was getting drowned out by something, though. Commotion. She pulled out one and looked around, someone had fallen to the ground, and another car was spiraling out of control... towards her. She ran to move out of the way, as fast as she possibly could. It felt faster than she'd ever moved, and she got clipped by the car as it slowed to a halt, screeching on the pavement, and sent her flying forward, her feet trying to keep up with the momentum and slow down. She tripped and tumbled, steaming foam cups breaking her fall and burning through her t-shirt.
She could faintly understand the sounds of sirens, and her being moved. Her chest and abdomen felt numb, and her back was more than sore, and the air stung her forehead. She eventually passed to darkness, preferring the warm, painless embrace of sleep.
It felt like an eternity before she woke up. She looked around the room, a faint beep. Roger sat in a chair beside, still as stone. She picked herself up and noticed some wires on her and a white gown. She was obviously in a hospital. Was it really that bad? I think I passed out, though. She was surprised at how alert she was, considering her predicament. She turned back to the chair, and he was slowly lifting his head up to look. Slowly... why was he being so slow? "Rog, what happened?" She asked in her thick accent. Still lifting his head. "Roger!" She yelled again. She moved her hand to lift his head and wake him up, pulling his chin up, and- snap.
Beep.
Other: I'm not German, nor do I speak it, so there may be mistranslations when she speaks in German.
Generating as much glass as this indicates already pushes what I am comfortable with (assuming she doesn't create it out of nothing (which would be a big no no) she has to gather and store the materials to do this somewhere and in mass amounts), but for the sake of the RP I will ramp up my suspension of disbelief. What I completely fail to understand is how this allows her to mimic other's appearance. Maybe you were going off of how light bends through glass or something like that, but you yourself don't have those properties. Maybe you were thinking she'd coat herself in the glass and then warp her appearance? Regardless, my answer is no. Similarly, I'm going to veto the mirror dimension. Sort of. I'll allow her to enter glass and hide in it, but she can only leave from that same piece (should that lead her to immediately enter a neighboring piece then so be it). I like to think of this world as fantastical, but grounded in reality and adhering to our laws of physics with little wiggle room. For the sake of super powers I have to be somewhat lenient, but this about reaches my limit. Lastly, I just want to clear something up: the ECU has not been disbanded. I hope you meant that her group in the ECU disbanded, possibly into other groups in the ECU. The spoiler just points out a couple details that don't really require attention, but you can read if your interested. They do not require any changes on your end and if you never read it, I'd probably never know.

: BASICS :
Name: Marlowe Walker
Nickname(s)/Alias: N/A
Age: 24
Gender: Female
Moral Alignement: Neutral Good
: LOOKS :
Appearance: Marlowe stands at an average height and is fairly slim. She doesn't have any noticeable physical features, but she always has this semi-frown, slightly pissed off glare in her eyes. Marlowe also has many scars peppered across her back and a few on her sides and arms
Clothing: Marlowe doesn't really like exposing skin, so she usually wears hoodies or cardigans under long sleeved shirts. She will always wear jeans and boots.
: POWER DETAILS :
Enhancement: Glass Manipulation: Marlowe has the power to generate glass at her will, which she employs on many fronts. While at first glance a seemingly weak ability simply because of the nature of glass, in reality, the glass she generates is incredibly dense, making it almost as strong as concrete. Her glass is a teal color with little transparency and has an unpolished texture.
The most basic branch of her powers is her offensive kit, which revolves around glass shards. Marlowe can fire a torrent of razor sharp shards from her hands with small intervals between each burst. She's also capable of generating a mass of glass and release it. Upon impact, the glass will "splash" and spread to it's surroundings, encasing any object or being in a "glass cocoon" of sorts which will shatter and release the encased property after a few brief moments. As you'd imagine, this is a very useful combat tool, as it allows her to completely immobilize opponents for a few precious seconds.
Marlowe can also mirror someone's appearance, effectively disguising herself. This ability is a little bit underdeveloped, as she can only maintain the disguise for short periods of time and this branch has a fundamental flaw where the disguise will be mirrored.
Perhaps the most intriguing branch of Marlowe's enhancement is her ability to phase into and out of any glass surface. When Marlowe does this, she enters a sort of pocket dimension only available to herself. This dimension is, as you'd expect, mirrored, and nothing can actually reach her in there. The glass functions as portals to Marlowe, which means that she can phase into one glass surface and phase out of anywhere, essentially teleporting. Another aspect of this branch is that, while the mirrored dimension doesn't have any impacts in the real world, the real world actually does influence the dimension. So, for example, if a glass surface is broken, Marlowe can't exit through that glass anymore. Another example would be her ability to phase through cars' windshields. The car will transport her to wherever and no one will know there's someone in the car with them.
Marlowe fills the role of the "boring but practical" member of her team. Her powers have a lot of utility but are limited in combat. Marlowe is best suited as an infiltrator in quiet missions and as a support in loud instances.
Gear: N/A
Strengths:
- With her abilities to disguise herself and phase into glass, which is a very common thing, she's an incredibly efficient infiltrator, great for stealth operations.
- Her so-called "glass cocoon" completely immobilizes people caught in it
- She's completely invulnerable in the mirror dimension
Weaknesses:
- While Marlowe has a lot of utility, she doesn't really have that many offensive options. Sure, her shards are very sharp, but that's really all she can do, and she'll struggle with more complicated opponents
- Her ability to mirror appearances only last for a couple of minutes. While a couple of minutes is usually enough, more complex scenarios can become a challenge if she needs something consistent
- Because Marlowe has an average physique, she isn't particularly strong or resilient, relying entirely on her powers
: PERSONA :
Personality: Marlowe is a very introverted girl. A wallflower, almost. This doesn't necessarily mean she's shy or socially awkward, it's simply her choice to not talk to people. Marlowe is much more of an observer, silently taking in and retaining information rather than providing any of it.True to her reserved nature, she will frequently be in that little pocket dimension of hers. Not only can nobody bother her but she also feels at home in there.
Marlowe behaves in a very professional manner when on the job. She's completely submissive to her higher-ups, is respectful to her colleagues and completes her missions quickly amd efficiently. She can get annoyed by more silly or immature teammates, but she normally tries to ignore any distraction.
Marlowe does loosen up a bit when she's alone with a trusted one - however rare that may be, considering her only friend sacrificed herself for her team. As of right now, she feels somewhat uncomfortable around her new colleagues. Part of being transferred to a new unit. Marlowe is going to be more secluded than ever until she gets a little more used to her new co-workers.
Biography: Marlowe has had an unremarkable life before the Incident. She was simply someone else in Northwood, a dot in the world. She had a normal upbringing, her grades were average and her interests were nothing special.
Marlowe was waiting for a bus, ready to go home and wind down after a monotonous day at work when it happened. The radiation's shockwave propelled the girl backwards, which sent her crashing into a store's showcase, injuring her with the glass and knocking her out.
When the girl came to consciousness, she was in the hospital's emergency ward, along with many others. After a slow, painful recovery, Marlowe was discharged. The next few weeks went by and her life seemed to slowly return to it's old rhythm. Until something happened.
As Marlowe washed her face in an attempt to keep herself awake after getting out of bed, her eyes analyzed her form. And as she considered her own appearance, she noticed that the mirror slightly vibrated. Wondering what it could be, she reached a careful hand towards it. As her fingers made contact with the surface, they went through the glass without any resistance. Utterly bewildered, Marlowe pulled her hand back before reaching further in. This is when she discovered her powers.
At first, she couldn't believe that she became one of those creatures - those monsters. But as her curiosity grew and took over her, she accepted her powers and considered them a part of herself. When Enhanced were registered into the system and the ECUs began recruiting, some of the responsibles found Marlowe's powers to be one of a kind. She was assigned to an ECU with 5 other members, with their captain being Abigail Quick.
Abigail was chosen as captain due to her impressive maturity and collectiveness for her age, and her ability to run at superhuman speeds. Within the few months the ECU was active for, Abigail and Marlowe developed a strong friendship with each other. It was the first time in Marlowe's life that she felt like she belonged somewhere. Not only because of Abby but because everyone got along with everyone.
During a search and extract mission, Marlowe's ECU fought against a very powerful gang of Enhanced. Realizing that they weren't going to win the fight if they didn't do something drastic, Abby pushed her powers to the limit and was successful in defeating the group, but succumbed to her wounds, both the ones she had encurred in battle and the ones inflicted by her own power. After her death, no one was willing to step up to her position, and the government opted to disband the ECU and send each individual member to another one. Marlowe was sent to this one.
