Realistic or Modern Wanted: Roleplayers to Play the Main Character of an RP

This is a story about you. You are living a perfectly normal protagonist life (read: not normal) in a perfectly normal protagonist world (read: NOT NORMAL). Then, through your protagonist power, you no longer live your perfectly normal life (seriously your character better have superpower or magic or something).

Maybe you find yourself mastermind in a lair, sitting on the throne. Or maybe the only hero in a terrorist attack. Maybe you find yourself in a crystal cavern for some reason, next to a crystal eating squirrel. Whatever it is, you no longer live your normal life.

...the question is, why are you even here anyway?

  Let's start with this sentence: I want to GM a 1x1 with another player. That's right. Your character will hog the spotlight. Bring your special snowflakes and edgy boy cause here they will get the attention they want. This may sound a bit weird, but I had been looking for a way to improve my skill in GMing so I came up with this idea. Yeah.
  
  The second thing on the list I am looking for a low frequency, high quantity partner. My schedule is a bit unreliable and I can post once a week, but sometimes even less than that. However, all posts would be long and comprehensive, so someone with a similar style is preferred. Somewhere between 3-8 paragraphs is preferable as I write in the aforementioned length as well.
  
  Another important point: the RP I want to GM is one in a modern setting with superpower and has a mission-oriented nature. This means that your character will need to have superpower and will be put in a situation where they need to be the main character. The goal will be clearly defined and appropriate motive will be given for your character to fulfil it.
  
  The general tone of the RP may vary from being comedic and lighthearted to a bit real to the world (not sure it will get dark but possible), however, I will expect you and your character to have some common sense. No Naruto. No hot-blooded Shounen MC that goes through challenges with the power of friendship. NO GUNBLAZING KILLING EVERYTHING IN SIGHT.
  
  Mmm, what's more? I don't play canon characters. I'm open to playing fandom, but I won't play any Canon Characters and will create OCs instead. I can't. You can't convince me otherwise.

  • I have an outline for the roleplay ready, however, I do not have all the small details as they usually change depending on your character.
  • I prefer to RP in RPNation threads which allow for BBcodes and organised formatting, but I'm open to PM as well. You can convince me to RP through Discord, but I dislike RPing through Email unless there is a very, very good reason to do so.
  • I can post once a week.
  • I'm a university student with some free time that likes reading and writing. Expect close to no pop culture reference.

  • Age is of no issue, but please be comfortable with topics such as violence, blood, profanities, and sex. These will not be the main focus, but mentions of said topics are possible.
  • High quantity with decent quality requested. Refer to the writing sample tab. At least 3 paragraphs, but more are welcomed. Please do not lie about your skill or style.
  • Only low frequency requested! One post every week or every two weeks is okay. You can post faster, but my pace is around once a week. Please be alright with this.

  Daisy failed. Creature was strong. Daisy retreated from the green gas as well. Daisy got the green gas from Venom Spider. Venom Spider had many poisons. Daisy got poison from Venom Spider, so Daisy needed to be careful too. Creature created more Fire. Creature was strong. Creature could use Fire. Daisy didn't want to fight Creature anymore. Daisy only wanted Fruit so Daisy could be strong.

  The red spider, now midair, hastily retracted the thread connected to its body to avoid the fire spears. It was smart enough to connect the web to the trunk previously, avoiding the sordid fate of being impaled to death midair. As it landed on the trunk, instead of fighting back, it swiftly tried to turn tail and run upward, away from the First Branch and toward the top of the tree. Toward Yggdrasil's Fruit.
  
  "I updated the log!" Katie exclaimed. A translucent window appeared on the peripheral view of Sage, should he chose to see it.

  • Deliver the Scroll of Warning in the place of Ratatoskr to the Serpent Níðhöggr at the roots of Yggdrasil
  • Prevent the Arachnid Army of Empress Dowager Resseu from stealing the Fruit of the World Tree

  Katie fell silent after he saw the wings on Sage's back. A construct. He hadn't seen such a smooth control over fire for a long time. Come to think of it, he never saw anyone made a fire construct before. Bad good luck or fate, he had summoned a real hero of fire. Someone truly capable of saving a world. His gaze upon the fire hero now held a new meaning.

  A low screech, barely audible, caused the lunar cat's ears to perk up. Katie floated closer to the edge. His eyes peered down below, beyond the means of normal cats and toward the Seventh Branch of Yggdrasil. The portal down there glowed. And something climbed out.
  
  "Uh, Sage," Katie called the hero's name for the first time. The memorable line was spoken with resignation. "Curse my luck and yours, but the spider has reinforcement."
  
  Indeed. On the Seventh Branch of Yggdrasil, five Venom Spiders crawled passed. The spiders noticed the corpse of their brethren . They were not amused. The spiders released another screech. The hideous sound echoed through the tranquil world of Yggdrasil.
  
  "They will keep coming unless Níðhöggr closes the spatial gate. You need to make a decision. "
  
  The decision Katie spoke of was the direction of priority Sage could take. He could go to the top and stop the red spider from reaching the fruit. In turn, that would allow more spiders to flow through the gate. He could also go down to the Third Branch, and took the scroll to the roots, to Níðhöggr. However, that would risk the red spider carrying the fruit back to Svartálfr.
  
  "Just so you know, it's fine if you can just stop the fruit from being moved through the portal."
