Small changes will simply be yes/no'd by the people directly affected, but large changes will be voted on by the group.
 
well, since this is up, I'll just ask something; does Arachne use the power she stole against all the weakened godmodders?


edit: i just realized that someone is actually going to RP as Arachne. Better yet, this is another question. In the time that we start RPing, is it right after we were stripped of our powers? This is just to clarify.

I have no idea where to start with powers... What are some examples of powers we could have? Also, it may take me a bit to create my character.


Am I allowed to post what I currently have for my character in the sign-up thread to see what you think?(':3)

Is there a certain time period that this rp is focused around? I was getting high fantasy vibes from the summary, but some of the already submitted characters seem more modern. Just want to know to make my character accurate.

Would skills and extraordinary knowledge obtained before gaining their powers and everything be kept after losing their powers...? I'm thinking of having my second character be extremely knowledgeable about people and the past, as well as know how to conform her words to keep a positive mood in the air. Also, she'll be a person who did nothing but good in their life, though until seen as a normal person would be looked at as evil because she threw away her image for the good of a kingdom she ruled.

They can range from traditional high fantasy to mid 1800s, I care more about the quality of the character than the specifics. As long as you can make it work!

Any skills would have to be basic survival ones, and nothing that the average person wouldn't know. Anything "special" about them would be stripped. They may have a way with words, but not in a magical or extraordinary way. They may have a knowledge of history, but not an encyclopedic one.

It'd basically be she spent most of her normal human life studying the ways of the world and its past, so she'd know most of the history up to a hundred to a thousand years before her own birth, though definitely not in encyclopedic depth, just the overall events. Also, a way with words as in she knows what people need to hear when they need to, from personal experience speaking to others and such. Wouldn't be perfect, just she's put more effort into learning how people work so she could help herself help them.

Hi! This idea seems really interesting, I'm just wondering...is our first post before or after our powers are stripped?? Sorry if you already answered this question. xD
 
I'm going to post some work in progress versions of my characters for now, both since I might be going for a bit (which would also let people plan connections to their temporarily complete pasts), and so people know who's playing "Arachne".
 
sorry if it's just me, but I can't seem to see the image I've posted for my character's appearance! maybe there's something wrong that I'm doing?
 
I have a question. Can't the people learn how to make the poisons, magic and potions by looking in the notes in their rooms or from memory? Or are they cursed to make crappy potions and shoddy magic? Or is magic just blocked.
 
If it's anything that would make them any better than an average person or skilled enough to cause more than minor mischief, they'll just find themselves either repeatedly failing or the memories will be foggy.

So on this site for OOC chat, I've found it useful to make a group conversation, and invite everybody to join. It helps keep things cleaner, and you can boot people if necessary.

I might consider doing that once we're officially underway, but for now, I'm giving it 24 more hours of mild chaos before I reign us all back in to order. I also want to make sure everyone who wants to join can!

I don't agree with doing it conversation-based though, as it makes it so that anybody who's forgotten to be added and doesn't know there's a conversation gets left out of all the OOC.
