Fandom Walking Dead RP

"And where would you go? I don't stay in groups. I do better by myself." Carter mumbled. She started to walk away. She had enough materials for herself and she's a pretty good scavenger. Fighting was the only category she lacked in survival. 'Don't go with them. It could be them. Or it could be another pair or pedophiles. This world has gone to shit along with the people.' She told herself, continueing to walk away.

Jason caught up to her and caught her by the arm, but gently and carefully, and he turned her toward him. "I've heard that before, and I watched people die moments later. You're a child, and you're not gonna last for long, I can guarantee that. Everyone's luck runs out, staying in a group combines everyone's luck, so if you're lucky, you live a bit longer. If you join me you get protection of a Military Soldier, you get more food due to everything I got, you get a gun, you get whatever, and you survive. How long you think you'll last crawling around in some bushes?"

Carter felt the gentle grab on her arm and she jerked her arm out of his grasp. The cloak still concealed her expression but it was mostly fear and surprise. "I can protect myself and I will be able to. It's not luck either. It's a world of skill now. Like I said earlier, I don't do groups. If I did join you and you supplied me with this, then I would owe you. Debt is hard and I'm not willing to dig my own grave." She said, her voice rising a bit in anger. Carter usually didn't get angry but something about the touch and what he said ticked her off beyond her usual limits. "I've lasted this long, however long that may be. I think I'm doing just fine." She growled, walking away even faster. Even if they convinced her to follow them, it's not like she'd let herself trust them. It's a hard thing to come by now-a-days.

"There would be no debt, I'm selfless like that." Jason said, and he walked swiftly and got completely in front of her, stopping her in her tracks. "I may seem like a enemy, but I'm not. I just don't want you to go on your lonesome, knowing that you WILL die if you do. I can't have that on my conscience. You're not an immortal, you know that?"

Sean cleared his throat, watching Jason and the girl. She was probably a liabilty, he was thinking. So were the other two kids. Jay, could take care of himself. So could he. Throwing three children in the mix would make things harder, though. Much harder. The decision to step out into the clearing for those kids had gotten him thrown straight into a hostage situation. However, because of that, he might be able to sleep now. With someone else keeping guard. And he desperately needed to sleep. With his eye sight the way that it was now, Sean was blind at night. He had to stop when it was dark. He simply couldn't wander the woods without being able to see where he was going. That was suicide. So, he had spent his evenings leaned against large trees, but every little noise startled him. And he was exhausted. When Jason had shoved him, he had stummbled. He had barely been able to fight the corpses off of him. Their rotting stench had burned his eyes and made him retch. He had done it though. Alone. For how long could he continue that way, was the question. Not long, was the answer. And Sean knew it. "Everyone's luck runs out." Jason had said. And the girl didn't know how right he was. He stepped forward. "Young lady, if you want to go off on your own and die. Go right on ahead."

Sean shook his head, and started walking in the opposite direction of the sound. The aimless dead stummbling through the forest toward them. He stopped and turned back toward the other two. "We have to go. Whatever she wants to do. Let her do it.", he growled. "Women are so damn concerned about bein' right they don't even realize when they're wrong. And no man is gonna change that in the time it takes for the dead to get here."

Jason ignored Sean and kept looking at Carter, waiting for her response, unwilling to let her go and die. Just then, a zombie came from nowhere and grabbed Carter by the hair, tackling her to the floor, and attempting to bite her. Jason reacted instantly, throwing a kick into the walker's ribcage, sending him off Carter, and he pulled her up and away from the walker, behind him, and he drew his hatchet from his belt, sending it though his head from earlobe to earlobe, his head being completely in two, and the thing fell to the floor, dead. Jason turned around to Sean and Carter, not saying anything, just waiting for Carter to speak.

Carter glared at the man infront of him until he said "No debt" She then relaxed a bit. "I am in knowledge of that." She said, nodding. "The only thing I need is protection at this point. If you an provide me with that, I'll follow. Just allow me to provide anything else for myself." Carter said. She didn't want to be a burden to the two if she was going to join them. Alhough, she probably won't stay long. She glanced and the man who said if she wanted to then on ahead. Carter had no response and only clutched into her machete. "Those other two are back that way." She muttered, motioning for him to lead the way, thinking they already knew.

Suddenly, she was grabbed by a circus clown. 'Really? At this point in time?!' She yelled to herself, flailig underneath the grasp of the freak. She felg the weight be taken off and her helped up. "Thanks..." She whispered, now walking in the direction that the others were.

On my phone now so sorry for the slow responses and errors.))

"No problem, no debt. You'll get protection, and everything else in between. We will all help each other" Jason said, putting the hatchet away and again holding the M16A2 in both hands, which was strapped to him anyway. "Let's get moving, find those two. Me first, the old guy second, and then you, Capiche?" Jason said, starting to walk. After a few minutes, he said "Now, I'm Jason O'Shaughnessy, or Jay, Military Soldier, used to be based at Allentown but it got overrun, I went to NYC, but it got bombed by the Military, and I barely made it out alive. I came across some....trouble, a firefight between the Military and some bandits, but I got through it. What's your histories?" Jason said, remembering how he killed Jones and left the soldiers to die at the hands of the rebels. He tried to keep a straight expression, to make his lie unseen. It basically wasn't a lie just...keeping away some details.

(She didn't ignore it, re-read)

Carter stayed a ways behind them, keeping her distance but still able to hear what he's saying. She didn't speak up once he finished. In fact, she didn't even loon at them. After a few seconds of silence, she mustered out, "You trust to easily." And said no more afterwards. She silently followed after that. Sharing backstories isn't what she does. Sharing in general seems like a complete waste to her. Carter didn't even say her name either.

Sean followed behind the man dressed as a soldier, keeping an eye behind him for the girl. He was glad she had decided to come, though it made things harder. Half listening to Jason, and half to the woods. He knew he had heard gunfire much earlier today, from a distance. "You trust to easily." the girl said from behind him. He laughed out loud, heartily.

"Maybe I do, but I'm a good judge of character. I only trust one out of the two of you, so I may appear to trust you, but deep down, maybe I don't" Jason said with a chuckle. "Something you'll want to find out. I feel like I've gained your trust, saving your life and everything. Look, I wasn't robbing anyone back there, just trying to give myself a upper hand. I shot at you and missed on purpose. I knew nothing about you, so for all I know, you could have been the person who shot at me earlier, hell, maybe you ARE. But all I ask is for you to watch my back as I'll watch your's. You don't gotta trust me" Jason said in a low ad sincere voice, and he let her sag behind and stay silent. "What you laughing at old guy?" Jason said, slowing down to walk a little more closer to him. "What's your name, anyway?"

Sean nodded in agreeance with what Jason was telling the girl. "What you laughing at old guy?" Jay asked, "What's your name, anyway?" The older man spits the rest of his chew out, and reaches behind him for one of his two canteens. The larger one. He opens it and takes a long drink. "Sean McNeil." he says, as he wipes water from his cracked lips.

"Nice to meet you Sean McNeil. You seem tired, when was the last time you caught some Zs?" Jason asked, looking at Sean's eyes, which he could barely keep open. He swung his bag around to himself and withdrew two granola bars, giving one to Sean, and unwrapping the other for himself.

Sean refuses the granola bar with a wave of his hand, "I've got food. Thank you." He says, gruffly. Instead, he offers Jason the canteen.

Carter heard the man laugh and she snickered lightly herself. She nodded asas she listened to Jay's comment. 'I suppose that could happen...' She thought, tailing behind them and just studying them. Their movements and how they walk, how they talked and decided that they couldn't possibly be the hunters. Neither of them had the same cocky confidence as they did. She relaxed even more, relieved that they weren't. 'Don't let your guard down. They could work for them.' She thought, tensing up again slightly.

Okay, now I need to go xD Bye!))

{{ WOW, a lot has happened in this roleplay and I will speak to Dani about possibly including a map of NY for reference as I know there are people from all over that are possibly joining this roleplay. Just want to clarify that it is around like 15-20 hours by car from NYC to the Adirondacks [they are basically on opposite parts of NY], I managed to read all your posts :) Also Dani's internet is down atm which is why she hasn't been able to reply for a while, but I'll give her a summary of what happened and if need be I will reply FOR her. I will also be including my characters shortly and making another character as well o3o }}

(Lol, bye Ktyria. And cool, Infernalisx, you replying for her would be genius.) Jason put the Granola Bar back in his pocket, but took the canteen, and he bought it to his mouth and took a large swig, not having anything to drink in days. He would have emptied the canteen if he hadn't caught himself, but he did, and he took the canteen away from him grudgingly and giving the canteen back to Sean, wiping his mouth and then taking a bite out of his granola bar.

(I just put more time between Jason's intro stuff and his meeting up with the group to make it work. And thanks for the update!) Sean watched as Jason downed the water, then took it back and returned it to the clip on his pack. He doesn't bother to offer any to the girl trailing behind them, though he is keeping watch on her. She had said that she would provide for herself. Sean had no problem letting her try if that was what she wanted. Then later, when they were all eating venison steaks and wild potatoes cooked over an open flame, she would realize how much she needed them. "And to answer your question..." he says, clearing his own parched throat. "Days."

Sean nodded, continuing to walk beside him. They had lost the other corpses he had heard coming through the woods. It was mostly quiet now, except for the sounds of their footsteps. Things had gotten much quieter here than they ever were before...whatever happened...happened. Life was abundant in the mountains, and you could hear it everywhere. Birds, rabbits, foxes, squirrels and deer. They were still around. He had seen a few animals about during the day, and heard owls at night. It seemed to Sean that a lot of the wildlife had left. To where they had gone he had no idea, but his guess was further North. The dead didn't seem to move as quickly in the cold. He glance back at the young girl, then returned his eyes to the forest. "I'm going to trust you to keep watch over me while I sleep." He says, not looking at Jason as they walk.

Jason smiled. "That's a honor, my friend. Tell you what, during our first night together, you two sleep and I'll keep watch. You both seem to need a full night's rest" He said, keeping his smile all the while, and he took another bite of his granola bar, and another, until he had finished it, and when he had, he decided to say "Fuck you society", and he dropped the wrapper to the floor, rolling his shoulders and cracking his knuckles as they walked. "Hey, M1911A1 or G22?" Jason asked, facing Sean as the group walked.

Sean watched him toss the paper on the forest floor with a frown. Normally he would stop to pick it up, but what with the end of the damn world and all it didn't seem too important. "If you're asking for my preference between the two. The Colt. Anything that worked for my grand-dad works for me." he said with a shrug, sticking his hand down the front pocket of his jeans to retrieve his Copenhagen. He taps it on his hand, then opens it up and takes out a small dip. "But my Winchester suits me just fine, sir."
