Futuristic Wait, What Just Happened? {Take Two}

((OOC: *hem* please no one liners *hem*))

Alice smiles at the woman, and follows her into her house. Her body was shaking and she didn't know what else to do, other than to follow along and play her part. "M-My name is Alice Montague." She says to Mrs. Wakefield as she follows her into the living room. "So 1889, huh?" Alice looks around at the living room, she had always liked old styles of furniture. She then looked Mrs. Wakefield up and down, noticing her clothing and sighing.

Bellamy vidably saddened at the news of his father not being here. If he wasn't here and they went back intime by defying physics or some crazy stuff, and this Matthew Wakefield couldn't send them back then that meant they were stuck here. Stuck back in 1889, oh god, someone please wake him up.

Bellamy looked down at his attire, already feeling out of place with his clothing. Yes Bell already dressed flamboyantly enough, what with the dark skinny jeans that did wonders for his butt and shirts that well defined the muscle, but covered it with either an over shirt or cardigan. Oh yes, it didn't take much to give him one look and just know he was gay. However back in this time it may just been seen as well dressed. However the clothes were at too modern for this era, yet he didn't feel like going out to explore. He would sit in the lab and figure out the machine. This scientist didn't know how to deal with this technology, however Bell did, and he was pretty good with it too. Despite not going out, he still followed, looking around and trying his very best to take everything in.

Mary looked at Alice.

"Welcome to 1889 Ms. Montague."

She felt bad for the teens, transported to an unfamiliar time and place. Away from family, she knew she and Matthew would have to be their family until he could send them back. She looked out the door and sighed as Matthew was looking at the capsule.

"Matthew, we have guests."

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Matthew was examining the capsule, such precision he lost himself in his own thoughts as he examined the capsule. He had been taking notes when something dawned on him.

The coils!

He had almost forgotten that the capsule appeared in between his two tesla coils. He started jotting down notes as he examined the capsule. If it is powered by high amounts of electricity then all he would have to figure out is how to control where the capsule went. He wondered how to do that, he jumped at his wife's voice.

"Ah, yes."

He set his notepad down and walked into the house. He looked at Alice.

"Tell me, how did you all end up in that capsule."

He was quite curious as to how they ended up in this situation.

"Bellamy is Dr. Blake's son." Alice says, looking to Bellamy and smiling, then looking back at Mathew. "I can't really remember the rest, my head got fuzzy and I tend to lose my memory when I'm under great stress." Alice says and bites her lip. "The others should know more about it, sorry, Mr. Wakefield." She adds before tucking a piece of her waist length red hair behind her ear. She loved her long hair, and she nearly always kept it down.

Bell waved his hand slightly, looking around and just waiting for it to be a joke, or a dream. Either one would have been fine with him. "I don't know what my dad did to get the machine running. He told me it was a prototype and that nothing should happen when we're in the machine. I have an idea of what could have happened during our travels, but I can't be sure," he told the man. "If you don't mind, Mr. Wakefield, if I could use your lab, try to figure out the machinery, I know how the technology works, I could show you some things too. I just want to get it fixed so I can go back home," he said, his tone becoming considerably quieter.

Matthew listened to their story then looked Bell.

"Well, you are welcome to use my lab. I have an idea that, the time machine takes a lot of energy to work."

He looked down at his notebook.

"When the machine appeared my two tesla coils turned on and together they create about, 23 megawatts"

He looked back down at his note book. He really wanted to talk to them about the future but, he didn't want to over whelm them.

"In the meantime, we shall get all of you more appropriate clothing so we can show you around."

He looked over at his wife.

Mary nodded at Matthew's comment. She knew he was holding back how excited he was, he always tapped his foot when holding back excitement.

"Yes, we have enough spare clothes for all of you but, I will need some help getting them."

She looked to the gentlemen in the room. She was very old fashioned and expected the men to help. Of course Matthew stood up.

"Matthew stay here and keep the young ladies company."

She didn't want any of them wandering outside, she didn't want to think about what would happen if that happened

Tali looked at the boy who checked to see if she was okay, staring at him for almost three seconds before snapping herself out of whatever she was doing. She squashed her feelings of vulnerability and hissed at him, her voice hushed so that nobody would hear.

"Appreciate the concern but don't. I'm fine...just...weirded out.....and I don't need pity from someone that looks like.....you."

Tali quickly walked away towards the group merging with the oddly dressed couple, slightly fuming that she couldn't think of something better to say. She'd start crying once she got back home.

Once she was in earshot she heard the man leave to grab them clothing to which she mentally rolled her eyes.

Looking at the man from the past...or present considering the time period they were in, she asked him a question, her French accent apparent but not overpowering the American accent she developed from living in the States.

"So...I'm assuming this'll take you a while to figure this out...is there anything interesting around here?"

If she was going to be stuck here then she'd make the most of it and as positively as she could though a homesick feeling was beginning to grow.

Alice looked at the girl who had walked in and smiles at her, then turns back to Mrs. Wakefield. "Ma'am, do we have to wear those.. Corset things?" She asks, she really didn't like the look of those. She was quite claustrophobic, and wearing something that tight looked like it would make her hyperventilate. She puts her hands in the pockets of her skinny jeans and looks down at the ground, hoping she wouldn't have to wear something to hideous. I wonder if this is the same town. If so, maybe I can go to where my house would be and see if it's still there, my house is quite old. She thinks to herself, waiting for the woman to answer.

Gwendel yawned. This "happening" had left her extremely exhausted; and mostly confused. She could really go for her bed, with her cute little pajamas on as she sat and ate chocolate ice cream. She wanted to watch television and laugh with her brother. "We have to get back." she pouts, her full lips sticking out and her eyes almost tearing up. "I just want to go home and watch television shows!"

She stopped to think. The professor and his wife wouldn't know what "television shows" were. She mentally face palmed and breathed in.

Matthew looked over at the young girl with the French accent.

"Yes it will take some time to get the machine working."

He rubbed his chin at the question of fun things to do in town. Then he remembered the library. He assumed they still read books in the future. If not it would be fun for them to see real books.

"Well, the university has quite the library if you like books. Oh, that's right, the fair starts tomorrow."

He remembered seeing a flyer for it at the hardware store. Otherwise the town is rather dull, at least that is what he thought they would say. He returned to his note. He looked up as he heard one of them mention television shows. This peaked his interest, they were talking about future technology.

"Television? I'm sorry but, what is that?"

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mary looked at the young girl. She knew the question about corsets would come so, she had a well thought out plan.

"Yes you will have to wear corsets but, don't worry I will not tie them tight."

She could tell corsets were not a thing anymore, apparently neither was modesty. She would not comment on that though, since Matthew would just get angry at her. She would also spare the young girls of the pain of wearing cage bustles by giving them pillow bustles. She had quite the puzzled look when one girl mentioned television.

"Television?"

She could not imagine what that was. The telephone was not even invented yet.
