Fantasy Virus: VRV

Glaz looked at his severed arm blankly, the sound around him blurred as he stared. However a sharp tug on his good arm pushed him out of it and he began to retreat with the others. As he ran he applied his jacket over his wound, a large red stain glowing because of it. If he didn't get it wrapped he would die as he quickly made his way away from the infected.

She was thankful when he got on his feet, even with his heavy injury. The infected were closing in, and she let go of his arm, to kick away one that was crawling along the ground with no legs attached. Then she hurried by his side and put a hand on his shoulder to guide him along in a fast pace. “Okay, I think we can outrun them,” she told him. “Please hold out a little while more,” she whispered, out of breath from the fighting.

She threw a glance toward her sniper that was hiding in the bushes, hoping they would meet again so she would get a chance to thank him. First she would need to get this man somewhere safe and tend to his injury. Then she should find her sisters group.

Skyla stared at the corpse at her feet, and she felt her body temble. She never wanted to murder anyone! "Fuck." She curses under her breath, running her fingers through her slightly tangled, yet silky hair, leaving blood on her golden locks. She quickly wipes her hands on her jeans, her leg throbs, and a small spec of blood is visible through the bandages. She looks back at David, and hisses softly under her breath. "Get. Up." She growls, walking over to him, she hauls him up as a cruch, stepping on her tippy toes to try and let him stand fully. Yet she didn't expect him to lean on her the entire time, only until he could get his footing. "We can speed walk from here, man. We gotta go, that damn creature screamed at me. God forbid we are pinned like... like him." She mutters under her breath. She turns her face toward the way they were going. "Let's go." She smiles softly, hoping to God he might pull through.. yet in this world.. when speaking of God, it seemed there was a broken promise in there somewhere.

Hyejeong was scavenging what she could at the road right outside the forest, when she heard some gunshots. "This idiot... He will attract the horde." And he did. She noticed some zombies far away walking towards where the gunshots were heard. Of course she followed the sound ot of curiousity and because she felt like helping. Besides she disliked being alone, maybe this was her chance to meet her new group? Who knows... For now she followed the sound carefully taking care of as much zombies as she could with her baseball bat without attracting more towards her. She soon spotted a shooter trying to hold as much zombies as possible back. She decided to help him as she batted a zombie that was behind him causing its head to be thrown away and probably smashed when it landed. "Homerun!!!" She noted proud of herself. "How are you holding, friend?" She said looking at the shooter. "You know, the sound of gunshots attracts the rottenskins so you might wanna xonsider going melee, if you don't want to end up a meal."

"We need to go..." The man turned, pure despair plastered on his features. Tears building in his eyes.

"I couldn't... I... I - t-tried to... to..." The response was choked out. Barely audible.

"Oh, I know baby... But we need to go, you hear me? We need to go or..." He struggled for words, his throat began to burn.

"We need to go, or we'll end up the same way... She wouldn't have wanted that..." His eyes stared at the injury before him.

It was too much, the tears then began to flow between both as they embraced in a tight hug.

"Let's go now, okay baby? It'll all be over soon... We'll leave, find a safe place... We'll..." He crumbled, crying as tears streamed down his face.

"We'll... Be fine. You. Will. Be fine... I - I..." The words were thought over carefully, he choked back the tears. "I promise..."

Glass shattered, the image of the other person began to implode into a burst of fire, as it soon transformed immediately into a biter. A biter, trying to pull him to deaths door; telling him he... needed to go?

A terrifying screech.

......................................................................

David's eyes shot open... Scanning the immediate area rapidly, as the sun blinded him in a great flash of mental pain. His knee throbbed with a cutting-sharp ache, and he remembered... He'd passed out, having overextended the knee by running with the girl... Then he saw it, the dead biter, splattered rains flattened by a hard rock; the blood still gushing down its face - or what was left of it. The girl must have done it... "Well... Well, done." He muttered under his breath, still eying the crushed skull of the biter.

yet when he noticed the girl had somehow managed to heave him up, he felt like complimenting her once more. Although once was enough, at least for now. "I'm fine... Just went light headed, I'm not on deaths door just yet." The man rushed out, quickly taking all his weight off of the girl who was already walking with a limp due to the bullet wound. "Here, lean on me. I'm better, but you still have a gunshot wound in your leg..." David spoke with a certain command, averting eye contact as much as possible. He couldn't bare to witness her marked face, he'd punched her... And the result was him feeling like complete shit.

"My name's David, by the way..." He announced with a certain nonchalance, sure David didn't usually do... this. But for now he felt indebted to her for his reckless, and wrathful assault on the other man.

"Your friend... The soldier. He'll..." Pain crept into David's mind, his throat suddenly felt coarse, and hot, his eyes felt bleary, and he felt a stinging in his stomach and chest. Feeling slightly sick...

Deja Vu hit him. He couldn't do it; not again. He turned his head away, "Never mind... We'll be fine, for now. I hope he is too." Was all David uttered, as he continued to reminisce on the past; what had been, and what was no more.

As She Hid She Heard Footsteps Coming Here Way. She Grabbed Her Baseball Bat And got Ready. When She Saw the group they were running but after they were out of her sight she saw the junkes that she probably saw early on. Ezra yipped and fell backwards into the alleyway. Some of the zombies Saw her and came into the alleyway. She swung her bat at the closest junkes and started to run to a ladder to the roof. When she got up there she fell to the ground. If she didn't get something to drink She might die of hydration. But she Blacked Out Before she could get to the water.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ezra Woke Up With Her Neck So Dry. She Reached For Her Bag And Pretty Much Drank All Her Water. She Looked Down Below To See 1 or 2 Junkes. "Well I Better Get Going." She Climbed Down And Ran Down The Alleyway Saw A Gas Station. She Didn't See Anyone In It Yet So She Went Out Side And Started To Scavenge The Place.

Skyla sighed with relief as he shifted his weight off of her much smaller frame. She looked up at him, her cheeks still flushed in a soft rosy color, besides one side of her face being swollen and bruised terribly, with colors of dark purple, scarlet, and a yellowish-green. "I'm Skyla." The way she spoke held no hostility, or anger, as if she had totally forgotten he had punched her, and now she was helping him. "M-my sister used to call me Kit." She whispers softly, her eyes clouding with sadness, she quickly looks away and bit her lip. Then David brings up Glaz, and her icy gaze is locked on him. "H-he's going to come back." Her voice wavers slightly, she was so young. Fragile looking. She had her entire life ahead of her and now she is crushing biters with heavy rocks, and crippling them with sticks.

Her cheeks were freckled with rusty blood, and she had a few smears here and there in her face. She looked ahead and grits her teeth, pushing Glaz out of her mind. "Let's keep going. Don't push yourself anymore, please." This guy might be the last person she has, so she want going to let him hurt himself anylonger. If Glaz is dead like David thinks he is.

David regarded the girl with a bored curiosity, whilst she had the strength to at least kill the biter, her mental strength was no better than an infants. Yes, she was of a young age. Yes, she was a girl and may be slightly more emotional than a grown man, and yes, she'd already been through enough his punch and the bullet wound as evidence. Yet in the end, she needed to understand that the world; it had changed. In order to survive change, she needed to adapt, to evolve, or 'Woman Up' as so to say.

Yet at the end of the day; someone with a nickname like 'Kit' clearly isn't known for their toughness, more their innocence, kindness, and timidness. Things which'd get her killed, soon enough. With a deep sigh, David focused his hearing for nearby footsteps, or snapping branches. Yet he heard none. They were safe; for the time being. David didn't pay heed to her warning, he was in no need of a slow pace. He was only at risk of collapsing with too much pressure on his knee, a steady walk was fine. David needed no advise from her; but perhaps she needed advice from him.

"Well, Kit. Maybe he does come back. Maybe he doesn't. What he did back their was stupid. In this world, you don't trust anyone - you don't help anyone unless you have absolute certainty they are friendly... Good people may still exist, but there are far more bad. And those people will kill you in an instant. If you want to keep living; it's best you hear this now. Don't. Rely. On anyone. Nobody can protect you from death better than yourself." David lectured her, almost like a teacher to a student. He allowed a moments pause before continuing.

"You relied on that soldier back there? Now whilst he could be alive. It's more likely he's not. And where is he now? Not here. to protect you. Rely. On. Yourself, Kit." The last three words were said in a drawn out breath, and with a authoritative tone in order to reinforce the point. Whether she took his words to heat, or kept hoping for a Knight in Shining Armor meant nothing to him. He'd tried to help her. Nothing more could be said about the matter.

@Cyber Wolf

The young girl looked taken back, and she gritted her teeth tightly. "You know, what he did was honorable. More honorable than threatening unsuspecting people. For what? So you might be able to live, and they could die?" She retorts, her cheeks flushed a dark scarlet with anger. "What makes you so sure you can only rely on yourself? I could have left that damn creature to eat your alive while you were passed out. How many people did you leave like that? To just fucking die? " She was on the verge of yelling, her icy eyes ablaze with anger. "I obviously trusted the right man back there. Not only did he comfort me, yet he stayed back so we could live! He was the nicest person I've met in months. Everyone else tried to murder me, people like you." She steps away from him now, slipping away so his being wasn't anywhere near hers. "What he did for me, was honorable, and compassionate." She turns her back to him, "yet I wouldn't expect a jackass to understand that." Her words tumbled from her mouth without care.

Without waiting for the older man, she hurries forward into the forest. North, where they had agreed to meet. Her breath was chilled in the frosty air, and ears burned with anger. Her backpack bounced against her back with every quick, rough step the crunched in the snow. She didn't want to wait for him, if she was stuck with this guy, she was going to make his life a living hell. Purposely.

I didn't ask to be how I am.. I just am.. tears stung at her eyes, and the chilled wind made her cheeks sting. I have lost everything, now I have some old jackass talking to me like a toddler. I didn't ask to go with him. He took me. This is bullshit.. @Archon

Asher McMichael

Asher couldn't believe what he had just seen. The soldier had cut his arm off, almost without hesitation... He almost threw up right there on the spot, but had to contain himself. Asher still had to cover Katja and, the now extremely injured, soldier with nothing more then two bullets and a not so good aim. Like an unstoppable army, the infected kept coming and coming. In no time this would certainly mean death for everybody nearby. As millions of thoughts crossed Asher's mind and his heart raced like never before, he wasted another bullet on one zombie, destroying it's head and brain. But the death of a single monster didn't mean anything, as they just kept coming. "One bullet left..." Asher whispered to himself, with almost no hope to complete this mission.

Asher tried thinking of some type of plan to escape, but everything seemed too hard to pull off. The soldier was bleeding to death, Katja wouldn't last much longer and he couldn't do much to save them. His brain, which
usually could produce thousands of solutions to any problems on the spot, was now too tired and confused to think of anything that could solve this big mess. The girl, Katja, took one last glance in Asher's direction before the horde took her away from his eyesight. He could not see her clearly anymore. "Fuck... Fuck..." He said under his breath, completely furious he couldn't help much more, shooting the last bullet randomly at one of the many zombies who surrounded the area. As he went for the next shot, he pressed down on the trigger only to hear a *click* noise, signalling the gun was indeed out of ammunition.

Their only hope was to run. Maybe the soldier could hold on for a little more and Katja could get them to a safe place, but that was their only opinion, excluding a painful death of course. Distracted by all the commotion, he didn't even notice how his gun shots had attracted some zombies in his way. He was pretty much stuck once again. The zombies were approaching him, making Asher draw his small pocket-knife from his belt. The pocket-knife was pretty much useless in this situation as he wouldn't be able to take all of them out with it, but it was better then nothing. Asher slowly stood up from his position, "ready" to fight the infected, but he was interrupted by a voice.
"Homerun!!!" he heard behind him, as he saw a girl bash in a couple of zombie heads in with a baseball bat. She approached Asher so quickly, he wasn't able to do much more then to watch the girl with a look of disbelief in his face. "How are you holding, friend?" The female said. Asher didn't even know what to reply... Approaching a stranger like that these days... Was she completely stupid? Or maybe just really courageous. But it didn't matter as it was definitely his "lucky" day. He had been saved twice by friendly strangers, who could've have just killed him while he had his back turned.

Before Asher was able to reply to the girl, she continued her speech, pointing out the stupidity in using a gun and the amount of zombies it's sound would attract.
"Thanks for the tip. And for saving me." Asher said sarcastically, with a slight smirk. "Sadly, didn't have much of an option." He said with a more serious expression. "Some problems went down in the clearing over there and now it's... pretty much overrun with those monsters." He signaled with his head, pointing towards the clearing that was now full of the undead. "I can only hope they managed to escape..." He whispered to himself, looking down, disappointed he wasn't able to help much further. The thought of running in to try and save them crossed his mind, but he wouldn't of helped at all. Besides, by now they were either dead or they somehow managed to run away. "Anyways, it's not safe here anymore. The infected will start to disperse quickly and they'll overrun the whole forest soon." Asher said, quite confident in his speech. "You better get going. You did your good deed for today." Asher said picking up his grey backpack, still hoping Katja and the soldier were able to escape. Almost completely ignoring the girl that had just saved him, Asher started walking away. The path had been cleared very well by the young woman, so he could traverse through without shedding anymore blood as the infected were much slower then him and were quite far away.

While Ezra Was Scavenging She Found 3 Soup Can, 2 Bottles of water, And There Was A Pistol With 3 bullets Behind the counter. Ezra Didn't Really know how to shoot so this was new to her. Ezra Put The Gun In her Bag But Right After That She Heard A Can fall over in a back area. She grabbed her knive and went to go see what the noise was. What she saw was a junkie. When she tried to kill it, the junkie grabbed her arm right after the junkie grabbed her arm she grabbed her gun and shot it in the head making a loud bang. She Looked around to see if there was any Of the junkies. she waited....No Junkies "Okay Good No More Junkies"

The smell of blood and rot was filling the air around them, and the brunette could feel her heart in her throat as they ran. The sound of low groans sounded behind them, almost echoing from the dead walkers. Katja was escaping with the soldier close by, giving him assistance in staying on his feet when he needed it. “We need to find somewhere to hide,” she told him quickly, eyes scanning the area.

She grit her teeth. If she had been by herself she would have climbed a tree, but that was not an option for the injured soldier. Then she noticed a tree, with branches stretching out, almost creating a small cave that went further in under the tree. It was a long-shot, but since they were both covered in guts she figured it kind of weakened their smell. “There,” she directed the soldier toward the place she had spotted.

@Blarg222

Glaz followed the woman to where she pointed and set up inside of the hiding spot, however he was losing blood fast. As he entered he pulled out a roll of fishing line from his pack, and cut off a sizeable strand. He then wrapped it around his forearm and tied it as tight as he could to constrict the veins. Thankfully that seemed to help a bit.

David's face remained cold; emotionless. Portraying no reaction to the girls insults. She was foolish, beyond hope. He'd learned that much, David offered her his advise to survve. His opinion. Nothing more, and she leapt on him with an anger that went against her earlier nature. Perhaps she wasn't as forgiving as he thought; as the memory of his vicious strike re-entered his mind. Maybe she had a soft-spot for the soldier? Regardless, it didn't matter. The girl had stormed off ahead of him, giving the man room to drop the mask and take some deep breaths. He came close to breaking the facade; that speech she spat with venom hit apart of him that was untouched for a long time.

"How many people did you leave like that? To just fucking die? "

The sentence replayed; his moral dilemma now returning as if it was happening all over again. In the end, she could have let him die. Yet it appeared she had forgot he was the one who choose to shoot the biters before, not them even though the soldier may have very well killed David. He was the one who ran this distance carrying her, the definition of a burden - all the way until he passed out.

The tranquility of the forest was only disturbed by her angry footsteps; snapping twigs and crunching leaves as the offset of her rage. David hesitated, and gazed off into the distant right. He could leave, right now. He owed her nothing now. He'd offered his help. She spat in his face. Yet in the end; the sentence just replayed once more. He couldn't leave her just yet. No matter how much she wanted him gone, how much he wanted to be gone.

In truth, he'd left many people to just die. In the past, all to protect the only thing that mattered. Now that was gone too.

The teenager needed to grow up. Quickly. This wasn't a movie, but reality. The world was never black and white, but a large shade of grey. It always had been, but now more than ever. A life lesson she'd hopefully learn herself; she clearly wasn't interested in his help.

Katja leaned her back against the roots behind them, trying to catch her breath, listening to the zombies outside, but they didn’t seem to approach their hiding. She glanced over at the soldier. “Ah… that was quite a reckless move,” she commented, looking at his arm. Then she let out a sigh though and ripped off one of her sleeves to help him with a primitive bandage. “Here, let me tie that up for you.”

Then she realized that she was still only rescuing a random stranger and shook her head gently. “By the way… I’m Katja,” she commented. She made a grimace when she saw the huge wound and tied the cloth up tightly. It would hold temporarily, but he really needed some better treatment that was for sure.

Skyla pushes her way out of the dense, frozen forest, and a cold gust of wind makes her shelter her face for a moment. She pulls her coat tighter around her body. She knew she had to grow up, that she couldn't only trust herself, and her dead sister. Skyla slows her walk toward gas station, cautiously.

At least she was thinking more now, and not rushing into it. She couldn't see Glaz, like she had expected.

Carefully, she goes to the glass door of the station that read "push" on the glass. The entire place was ransacked, torn apart. She stands outside the door, looking in. She could see smeared blood, and bits of bodies in the isles. Her stomach churned with disgust, and she presses her back against the glass, slowly sitting down, looking at the ground. She was half waiting for David, half waiting for Glaz. Waiting for anything really.

@Archon

"...Glaz..." He said, leaning against the log for support, "Nice to meet you" He looked back out to the outside and noticed that the horde had gone, probably allured by a passing animal or something. He exited the log, looking around as the cool air hit him again, "We need to keep moving, follow me" He said moving forward before wincing at the pain in his amputated arm, "On second though a little help would be nice" He said, he had to find Sky, she was nearby she had to be!

As Ezra Walked The Isles Of The Store She Saw A Junkie? Wait No A Person. Ezra Grabbed Her Gun And Bat And Started To Walk To The Glass Door. She Swiftly Dodged The Dead Bodies And Got Closer To The Door. If This Was A Bad Person She Didn't Want to open the door and say hi no she wanted to get the suprise attack on her. So she hid behind a rather large shelf and waited for the person to come in.

Katja slowly stood up from her spot as well. She was fine to continue the travel, but was he? She wiped some blood off her face with her remaining sleeve. He didn’t seem to be concerned about why she was helping him at all, eager to get back on the road it seemed. “Do you have someone you need to see, soldier?” she asked him, aiming to see what exactly his connection with her sister was.

She rushed over and brought his healthy arm around her shoulder in support when he flinched in pain, letting out a sigh. “We need to make a fire and burn the wound shut… can’t be this close to the walkers though,” she mumbled. She hoped he was strong enough to make it, he had lost quite a bit of blood.

@Blarg222

Soon enough; the time had swept by, and they'd reached their destination, Skyla several minutes before him. David surveyed the Gas Station, the sight as expected. Blood, litter, wreckage and death. Nothing out of the ordinary... And it hurt to say that. David craned his neck down slightly, noticing how Skyla had slumped down against the glass almost as if in defeat. The soldier wasn't here, as he had feared. Approaching Skyla, David almost offered his hand, but he still had some empathy. It was plainly obvious - and even understandable - that she'd be furious with him. You can't force evolution, it just happens...

With caution; David approached the door, he debated for a few moments whether to say something to her, whether it be apologize for earlier, the soldier's absence, or even just in general. Yet nothing came to mind, anything he said would likely make her feel worse. The most he could do for her was keep his distance. "I'll check out inside." David warned nonchalantly. At least that way she'd know. Hell, she could run away if she wanted.

With a gentle push, the door came to. The sight was brutal, bloody. Human corpses were shredded to the point of being nothing more than red piles of mush, scattered about the isles. The whole place had been smashed to pieces. There was no way he'd find anything within, yet he took the fire axe off his back, and hacked loudly onto the metallic shelf, causing a very loud *clang!* to echo through out the station. Any walkers would be drawn to it, from which point he could hopefully eliminate them.

Skyla was staring between her legs at the bloodstained concrete when she heard a shift inside the convenient store. She scrambles away from the the door with sudden speed, and turns to face the building. She watches David enter, and she follows him quickly. "I'll watch the door." She spoke softly over his shoulder, her quick temper had quickly dissolved. She peered through the bloody isles as she paced in front of the building. She then spots what looks like a gun behind the counter. Her lucky day. If David would let her keep it. She crawls over the counter, grabbing the pistol. "Hey David! Look what i f-founnd" her voice trailed off into a shocked whisper as she spotted a person, who was hidden. She could scream yet the sound wouldn't come out, or alert David and hide behind him, she could even take care of it herself in seconds using her newly found pistol. Oor the stranger could attack her. Sky hesitated, wrong move.

The Fire axe clang made her jump but she keep her balance. But From A Back A Door Swung Open Reveling 4 junkies. But What made her the most scared was the girl grabbing her gun. She saw her freeze. She Grabbed The girl and covered her mouth and put the gun to her head. "Be Quiet or i'll blow your brains out" She Whispered to her.

(She Going to kill you......JK I would never do that)

Glaz shook is head in disagreement, "Find girl first......then we deal with....wound." He said determinedly, moving on as he saw a rest stop far in the distance. He could only hope and pray she or something was there. As he moved he felt himself shambling a bit, his whole body feeling drowsy as he lost energy. But he drove on to his objective, he had to make it!

Skyla squeaked softly, and terror gripped her. Oh no. No no no. Don't kill me. Don't kill David. Fucking biters. She didn't squirm, she didn't fight. This new person would surely kill her. Panic stung at her chest, and felt felt herself becoming nauseous with fear. I need to grow up. She huffed against the newcomers hand. No more being weak, do what David said. No one can save me, but me.

With a heavy motion, she goes limp. Slipping from the newcomers shocked grip, she kicks the girls legs out from under her, and grabs the pistol back. "DAVID!" She screeches before vaulting over the counter, and shoots the gun aimlessly at the biters, nailing one biter in the chest effortlessly. It stumbles back slightly, and the pistol slipped from Sky's grip slightly, yet she quickly gripped it tighter. Looking from the newcomer, to the approaching biters.
