Okay, so I have a question that just occurred to me... are the characters currently in one of the schools... and am I mistaken or do Elves not use magic at all?

They are able to use it, but most don't; they're xenophobic, and consider Magic to be an outsider's creation. But those who have made alliances with the Kingdom, have been taught Magic and they do use it, albeit grudgingly. They don't have powers, but crossbreeds between humans and elves (you can figure out where they come from) can possess Guardian powers due to the human genes in them.

And also, all of our characters are fresh Guardian trainees arriving at the Isle of Hope. We'll be assigned to one of the schools, and the plot will develop from there.

Okay... well I was looking at the characters and most are Human so... are we only allowed to play Humans? xD I tend to ask a lot of questions when I am making a new character... sooooo... sorry! lol

Anything with a 50-50 Human gene. Incruscans are a viability, you can also be a human-elf crossbreed, a giant-human crossbreed (however that happens), but yeah. Only creatures with Humanity in them are capable of Guardian powers.

xD okay, sorry. I read everything, but it's a lot to process (I'll probably have to go back and read it again) so it could make sense for me to have a Half-Elf character that was raised in a Human civilization by a Human grandparent after her parents were both killed by Darkborne?

Yes. You can probably get away with any type of crossbreed, provided you give a convincing backstory. I guess. Just don't go too overboard.
