Vampires have lived for centuries in secret, mostly away from the human eye though some choose to try to blend in instead. They can be very influential people in and out of their own kind. Well, most of them. There are rogue vampires and vampire covens, and just like with humans there are those who don't always follow the rules. Whatever you know about vampires, they are not supposed to exist except for in your stories and movies. But that is all about to change.

You were invited to a masquerade ball. People from all over have come to the ball, considering airfare and everything was paid for. You probably expected to come, have a good time, dance, and go home back to your own bed. But what you don't know is the family that ran the dance is a family of vampires, and their goal is to find their soulmate. If you don't catch anyone's eye, you will get to return home. However, if you are spotted and someone takes a liking to you... you will never see your family again.

You will return to the family's home, a large mansion of sorts hidden in the mountains of Vermont. You will be treated like royalty, and given whatever it is you desire. But you are not allowed to leave. Not without an escort... or even your vampire mate themselves. Will you accept your new life? Or are you going to fight it?

Hey yall! So it's been a while since I've tried to run a group roleplay, but I figured I'd give it a shot. I'm looking for a small group of people (2 or 3 people other than myself) who are interested in dark themes, romance, and the supernatural. If the plot calls to you, I'd love to have your interest! I realize alot of people don't like doubling, but it's required for this for romance purposes and to keep the group small. So each of us will be playing a vampire and a human.

I am open to non mxf pairings too, btw! I myself prefer mxf but if you want mxm or fxf just let me know, I'm sure we can try to work something out. (:

Please be 18+ to express interest.

1. Keep all drama in character. OOC drama won't be tolerated, and if you can't remember this, you'll be kicked. I'm looking for active people, but I'm also okay with slower paced roleplays, as long as I know people are still interested. Don't be a dick.

2. Discord is mandatory for ooc for this roleplay. Sorry if that's not your jam, but I personally love using it to connect with my fellow rpers, and I feel it helps with ooc for that.

3. Romance is heavily encouraged for this plot, but not a necessity. I love wrong turns and speedbumps! Dark themes are also acceptable (and encouraged by me) for this roleplay, so again, if romance and dark themes aren't your thing, this probably isn't the rp for you.

4. For romance purposes mostly, doubling is also mandatory.

5. Communicate with me and your fellow rpers. If you've lost interest, won't be able to post for a while, etc. Please let us know! Be able to give us something in your responses, usually a couple paragraphs is what I ask for.
