Name: Magnus Hiems


Alias: The Musician of Despair


Age: 25


Birthday: 10/27


Personality: Magnus is perhaps one of the most reserved individuals you'll ever meet. He rarely gives hints to his current mood unless it's important and has never, not even once, made a mention of his past. His quietness, which is usually seen as a reluctance to speak, defines him. The most anybody can get out of him is a grunt or nod, which is rare in itself. When he does happen to speak it comes as a surprise to his peers and his usually right to the point and blunt. An important aspect to note about Magnus is that he only plays by his own rules and no one else's, not even his closest allies. This can causes him to get into intense disagreements and heated arguments when personal ideals differ, mainly those that involve justice. In battle, Magnus is as devoid of emotion as anyone can possibly be. He'll slay anyone down without hesitation without the slightest hint of pity or remorse. He does have a lighter side however, mainly in his love for music. It's his favorite subject by far, and it's not uncommon to find him whistling or humming a tune, or playing a flute that he caries to idle his time.

Weapon(s): A seemingly normal crossbow that upon closer inspection is shown to be lined with ancient runes. There are a variety of bolts that can be fired from it, ranging from a simple wooden bolt to the more lethal silver variant. He also happens to carry a Falchion sword for close combat purposes.


Skills: With eyes like a hawk and well honed reflexes, Magnus is the gold standard for archers everywhere. His vast knowledge on magic allows him to identify when, where, and what kind of magic has been used but more importantly fuse it into his own weapons, primarily his bolts. For example, he's created bolts filled with electricity to paralyze targets or has filled his bolts with high amounts of unstable magic for the equivalent effect of an explosive missile. He also happens to fill his bolts with a tiny hint of magic, allowing him to trace targets that he's hit. His skill with the sword isn't on the level of an experienced sword master or even an inexperienced sword master. He can still hold his own with it in the end, especially with its magically reinforced blade.


Purpose for living: To carry out his own personal version of justice.


Element: Scorpio's Water


Special Abilities/Characteristics: Upon becoming a hunter, Magnus awakened an innate sixth sense of magical energies. Not only can he see the remnants of spells, such as the lingering energies of a healing spell over a scar, he also has the sight to see people, specifically mages, wizards, etc. If he puts enough intense focus into it he can see the latent energy within ordinary people too, although they're considerably duller. He also has an incredible resistance to opposing magic as well. He can completely disregard weaker forms of magic without worry while requiring little energy to block the more stronger forms. However, this can be a double edged sword at times, specifically when it comes to healing. Healing him by magical means is completely out of the question as the spells will do little, if anything at all, due to his resistance.

Personality: A very leisurely woman when calm, but was notorious for being ferocious in battle during her short stint as a mercenary. She has a past she's not too proud of but now has long since ceased caring about ever since she left whatever life she had back in her homeland. She spends her free time enjoying life's simplest pleasures, from books, to feasting, to rolling around in fluffy sunkissed grassy plains, all which she does both often and shamelessly. Delightful and happy to be alive, she believes that most people don't appreciate the wonders of the world as much as they should.

Appearance: An intimidatingly large woman, standing seven feet tall and strong. She has long, slick black hair and a skin tone reminiscent to cinnamon. Scars cover her body, but are usually hidden by luxurious furs and clothes. On a good day she wears a smile like she's wrapped snug in blankets, but some days just aren't good days.


Weapon(s): Kilij


Skills: She is very strong, meaning that her body is somewhat of a weapon as well, but particularly, her legs are incredibly powerful, enough to send even the fattest knight back a good couple yards. Although she's huge, she's anything but slow, however, a weapon slows her down, so she may temporarily discard her weapon to pursue. She also has a habit of biting unarmored opponents in combat.


Purpose for living: Enjoying life's luxuries.


Element: Dream (Leo)


Special Abilities/Characteristics: Among her pleasures in life is feasting upon copious amounts of meat. To her delight, her becoming a hunter caused it to become a benefit. Eating meat can cause pain to cease with the first mouthful down, and her wounds heal within several minutes. This hunger is not natural, as when she gets wounded, she gets more and more hungry, even if she just ate. The more she's wounded, the hungrier she gets, and the hungrier she gets, the more vicious she is, and the less she cares about getting hurt so long as she can get her next bite. The closer she is to death, she gets faster, can climb awkward surfaces with haste, and can pounce a large distance frighteningly fast. The meat she eats to feel these effects does not have to be prepared; in fact, she could start eating her opponents, mid-battle, on the spot. While she does enjoy biting as a part of her fighting style, cannibalism isn't really a thing she sees herself doing - with a level head, at least.

A single cursed blade called "Vulnus" is his main weapon. It causes wounds to be unable to heal. A small scratch could prove to be fatal because it would get infected over time and cause a lot of unwanted and deadly problems. He also carries a standard steel sword (shown in picture) for casual fighting and one dagger made of silver. He carries other types of weapons and accouterments based on the type of Hunt.


Skills: Exceptional with a sword. Many cower away with a single swing. A vast knowledge of monsters of all types due to his long service as a hunter. He has a familiar spirit that has attached itself to him which takes the shape of a Hawk or Wolf. It has a variety of uses such as scouting, attacking, talking, etc., Vast knowledge of the human body, Average skill with a bow and arrow, Skilled in the art of tactics,


Spells that he commonly uses:

Paralysis: Axlen is able to paralyze his enemies, immobilizing them through magical means for a limited amount of time.


A
paralyzed character cannot move, speak, or take any physical action. He is rooted to the spot, frozen and helpless. Not even friends can move his limbs. Paralysis works on the body, and an enemy can usually resist it with good mental fortitude.


Cause Fear: The affected creature becomes frightened, causing him to cower away in fear. Creatures of high mental fortitude are able to resist this spell.


Charm And Compulsion


Charming another creature gives the charming character the ability to befriend and suggest courses of actions to his minion, but the servitude is not absolute or mindless. A charmed person retains free will but makes choices according to a skewed view of the world.

  • A charmed character retains his original alignment and allegiances, generally with the exception that he now regards the charming creature as a dear friend and will give great weight to his suggestions and directions.
  • A charmed character fights his former allies only if they threaten his new friend, and even then he uses the least lethal means at his disposal as long as these tactics show any possibility of success (just as he would in a fight between two actual friends).
  • A charmed character is entitled to an opposed Charisma check against his master in order to resist instructions or commands that would make him do something he wouldn't normally do even for a close friend. If he succeeds, he decides not to go along with that order but remains charmed.
  • A charmed character never obeys a command that is obviously suicidal or grievously harmful to her.
  • A charmed character who is openly attacked by the creature who charmed him or by that creature’s apparent allies is automatically freed of the spell or effect.


Compulsion is a different matter altogether. A compulsion overrides the subject’s free will in some way or simply changes the way the subject’s mind works. A charm makes the subject a friend of the caster; a compulsion makes the subject obey the caster. Compulsion takes a lot of energy from Axlen. He uses this skill scarcely.


Lesser Wind Wall: An invisible vertical curtain of wind appears. It is 2 feet thick and of considerable strength. It is a roaring blast sufficient to blow away any bird smaller than an eagle, or tear papers and similar materials from unsuspecting hands.Tiny and Small flying creatures cannot pass through the barrier. Arrows and bolts are deflected upward and miss. (A giant-thrown boulder, a siege engine projectile, and other massive ranged weapons are not affected. It is not that strong of a wind so most destructive type spells aren't affected as well.) Gases and creatures in a gaseous form cannot pass through the wall.


Dancing Lights: Over the years, Axlen has improved his magic spell known as light. He is now able to summon four spheres of light (which look like will-o’-wisps), or one faintly glowing, vaguely humanoid shape. The dancing lights must stay within a 10-foot-radius area in relation to each other but otherwise move as you desire (no concentration required): forward or back, up or down, straight or turning corners, or the like. The lights can move up to 100 feet per round. A light winks out if the distance between you and it exceeds the spell’s range.

Since he became a hunter, he has gained the ability to walk as a spirit. While most people need enchanted weapons or silver to combat spirit type monsters which have no from such as Wraiths and Banshees, Axlen is able to simply become a spirit himself and combat them with ease. In this form, he has a variety of abilities to combat spirit type monsters. Once he is in his form, he is not able to harm non-spirit type enemies making this skill very limited, but while others struggle with them, he defeats them with ease. He also uses this skill for other things like walking through walls and communicating with spirits.


Besides the increase in natural attributes that comes along with being a hunter, he has gained a significant increase in his reflexes. He is able to turn them on and off whenever he chooses as well.

Name: Aldous Rhidelon



Alias: Fabled Hunter

Personality: Aldous is very serious. He puts the mission first at all costs, and would gladly sacrifice his comrades for the sake of the cause. However, once someone has gained his trust, he maintains an undying and unwavering loyalty to them. It takes a large amount of stress to anger him, considering his vast amount of patience. As long as you don't interfere with the mission, he is a great ally.



How long have you been a hunter: Aldous has been a hunter for five years. His entire tenure spent with the warrior Axlen, after Axlen's original partner met an unfortunate end.

Weapon(s): A massive longbow, designed for shots that could best a modern sniper rifle. Despite the picture, he is painfully unskilled with a blade. He carries brass knuckles in its place. (Like Asuma from Naruto.)



Skills: An array of magical arrows. Each of them deploys a group support or defensive type spell. An arrow for a temporary shield, an arrow for a temporary healing circle, an arrow that boosts the strength and speed of those within, and an arrow that grants a sort of clairvoyance to allies, allowing absolute focus in battle. He also has a spell called Seeker Bolt which allows him to fire magickal arrows that seek out their targets.



He has a chameleon spell that allows him to blend in with his surroundings. As far as archery, he has mastered the art and can progress no further without the aid of arcane magic. He is also very skilled in hand to hand combat, helping him compensate for his lack of swordsmanship skills. He is a master in the art of Wing Tsun.



Purpose for living: Aldous has absolutely no purpose for living, which is the exact reason why he dedicates himself to hunting so readily.



Element: Libra, Wind



Special Abilities/Characteristics: Omnipotentance. This ability allows Aldous site of the entire battlefield, in a third person view as if he were a bird in the air. While he uses this, a third eye opens on his forehead beneath his hood, and his normal pair of eyes shut. This ability allows him full use of his bow, making him capable of shots miles away. It also helps when searching for enemies hiding out, or when in hand to hand combat. The more that he uses this ability, the heavier the burden is on his body. This ability is best used as support with others. Through the years of training this ability, he has learned that if he focuses on one direction, he is able to cut the fatigue drawback to seventy-five percent. With this, he is able to have have more uses on his ability.

Personality: A man who you can trust to see things through. If a task is left in his hands, he will see that it will be handled in the utmost care. He doesn't go back on his word either, no matter what, but that is why he doesn't just give it away. He must be completely sure that he can handle a task before taking it up. Weapon(s): Dual weapons. One is the the sheathe and the second is the blade as seen in the picture above. Rylde had his weapon custom made in this fashion. Despite the silver blade not having any special enchantments, the sheathe itself can protrude spikes, causing it to become a deadly tool. He must pour a small amount of his mana into the sheathe and recite the proper incantation before the spikes will appear.



Skills: Besides his swordsmanship, Rylde is well versed in the art of alchemy. Before becoming a hunter, he studied the art of alchemy in The Exalted City of Bery which it is famous for.



Purpose for living: To serve Daemon of the Wild



Element: Aries



Special Abilities/Characteristics: With the simple gaze of his eyes, he is able to turn any being grand or small into stone. He must first have eye contact with them, which isn't hard because eyes appear all over his skin, making it easy to petrify a large group of people. No great ability comes without its consequences however. With every time that he uses his ability, he looses a percentage of his eye sight. He can only use it four times times through out the day before becoming completely blind until the next cycle begins.

Skills: Skilled survivalist , exceeds in hand to hand combat (specific Jeet Kune-Do art of killing ) also ninjutsu making him a free-running expert. Rowan carries a hand carved sword made from elephant tusk (Ivory). He rarely unsheathes his sword for any reason, seeing that his Jeet Kun Do is usually more than enough. However, when confronted with great danger, his sword gets the job done. Rowan is blind, But depending on who you ask it can be a weakness/advantage because he dwells on his other very sharp four senses! He uses his ability to watch the world around him through the animals that he charms.



Purpose for living: protect the innocence



Element: Fire Aires



Special Abilities/Characteristics: Gaia's Touch. H
e can communicate with all animals, allowing him to to call upon them whenever they are needed. Because he is blind, he uses the animals to help give him directions whenever they are needed. He can also impart his soul into other animals to see through them and control their bodies for a limited time. This however, leaves his natural body vulnerable during spiritual binding. If his normal body were to die, he would then have to reside in whatever being that he bound his soul to until death. He can find another human host, but he would have to catch the body and soul at the exact moment of death and not a moment later. He was only able to do this once so far because of the difficulty of the procedure. His second body is his current body, which was blind.

Personality: He has a naturally oppressive stature as if a king looking down onto his subjects. Every statement has an uncanny ability to condescend anyone that he shares words with. His head is always up, never looking down at those he steps on. Many people believe that his code as a hunter strays too far because of the lengths that he goes to accomplish his goals, but they aren't able to argue with the results, nor his strength.

The spirit of Gilgamesh consumes his body, possessing him. His destructive capabilities is increased significantly. Can only maintain this form for 10 minutes and has a tremendous affect on his body, deteriorating the outer layer of his skin and stretching his internal organs with each transformation. Takes him about two months to fully recover and has no control over his body once the form is active.
