US/UF UnderTale (ICanSeeYourPixels/EmeRP)

It's a beautiful day outside, birds are singing, flowers are blooming, on days like these kids like me should be.....Chara had just been laying down now, laying in the patch of yellow flowers as they'd waited for Frisk to come back from their reset. Chara hadn't been counting, in fact even if they were they probably would have lost count by now.. but something felt different about this reset. Chara didn't understand why she'd been feeling like this would be any different, they knew that Sans and Papyrus would still be in their same patrol stations, everyone would be in the same place, but it felt like there would be something new this time. It both frightened and excited Chara, it was nice to think that there would be something new this time around. Chara couldn't get a feel of what was different but maybe talking to Frisk would help, maybe Frisk was feeling the same thing. Chara looked up once again, "Man, Frisk is taking way longer than normal" they'd said in an indifferent tone as Chara had shut their eyes again, relaxing into the flowers.

Frisk felt the familiar feeling of falling and couldn't help but take a sharp gasp in surprise. Somehow they never got used to it even if they were fully aware that they would land safely down in the flowers below. They squeezed their eyes shut, waiting for the incomming landing. It honestly scared them a little them that they couldn't remember what reset they were on anymore. There have just been way to many for Frisk to even count at this point.

Frisk soon felt enough felt the soft touch of flowers around them and the feeling of falling immediatly disappeard. They opened their eyes slowly, adjusting their sight to the dim light. The first thing they saw was Chara laying down beside them, presumably waiting for them to come. "Have you waited long?" They asked as they grabbed the stick which always laid in the same spot in the bed of flowers. Frisk played with the stick in their hand, looking over at Chara.

Chara had felt themselves slipping into sleep before they, themselves felt the impact. Chara had then simply sat up, looking over to Frisk. As far as they knew, the two of them were the only ones who knew about these resets. Chara had watched as Frisk was getting adjusted, finally being asked if they'd waited long. Chara only shrugged, "Guess it depends on what you consider long" They'd joked. Chara had then looked to the stick then to Frisk's face. "Same place as always, huh?" Chara asked as she'd then finally stood up fully. "Am I stupid or do you feel something different with this one?" Chara asked, hoping that Frisk would just understand and Chara wouldn't have to explain too much of what they'd been feeling.

Frisk looked down at her stick and held it infront of them "Yeah.." They said as an answer to Chara's comment about the stick and then let out a small sigh. If they would be completly honest with themself, they began to grow tired of the resets. Everything were the same anyway everytime they came back. Frisk furrowed her brows a little when Chara asked them if something felt different. Why would anything be different this time?

They took some time to think about the question and look around. After just a couple moments, they could feel it too. Something felt...off about this timeline. Frisk looked back at Chara and nodded thoughtfully. "Yeah..I think you're right, something does feel different" They said and stood up, brushing off the dirt from their clothes. "Let's go and find out what it is"

Chara had looked to Frisk and for a few moments they'd notice Frisk looking.. tired? Chara had just shook their head, getting it off their mind. They'd then noticed Frisk look at them weird once more, seeing them go into what looked like deep thought before agreeing. "I thought so. I mean.. I know we've been through quite a few so.. Maybe this one is suppose to be different. It better be anyway" Chara said, finally wiping the dust off their clothes. Chara had thought about it for a few minutes as Chara had then nodded. "Yeah, I guess. No way to really avoid this" Chara's final answer had been as they had then began walking. "What do you think it is? Flowey is now dog?" Chara had tried to joke though didn't know if it would actually come across as funny.

Frisk raised her eyesbrows and let out a short chuckle. "That would be intresting, wouldn't it?" They said, gazing towards the end of the tunnel they were currently in with a bit of a distant look in their eyes. Hopefully something were different and not just their immagination. Frisk weren't sure if they could handle to go through exactly the same events one more time.

They soon enough reached at the end of the tunnel and the entrance to the room where Flowey usually appeared. "Well, here we go" Frisk looked at Chara and then stepped inside. And what they saw made them jump in surprise. They stared at 'Flowey' a couple moments before slowly turning their head to Chara. "Um..Are you also seeing this?" Frisk whispered to them.

Chara only shrugged, "I think anything at this point would be more interesting" They commented as they'd followed Frisk. Chara was actually looking forward to this reset and that was definitely a new emotion, it seemed like Frisk might have been feeling the same thing as well. Once they'd reached the end of the tunnel Chara had stopped as well, caught off guard by what was in front of them. Chara honestly didn't have anything to say this time, pretty stumped themselves. "Well this is where Flowey is suppose to be right..?" Chara had asked, now looking around like they'd been looking for something else or someone else rather. Chara then looked to Frisk as if to ask 'What now?'.

Frisk could only stare at the shadow that she had spotted in the dark, unable to speak a word when he stepped into the light. Infront of them stood a goatchild that the two of them were very familiar with. Asriel Dreemur. Although, something was awfully off about him. The eyes were different, they were as empty and cold as the souless flower who usually appeared here. His fur had a slightly yellow-ish color to it and his sweater was green without any stripes. "A-As.." Frisk began, but quickly shut their mouth again. "Howdy! I'm Asriel, Asriel D" He grinned an emotionless grin, looking curiously at them. "You're new to the underground, aren't ya?" Asriel asked, tilting his head.

Chara had tried to keep themself together as Asriel came into view. They knew how this encounter was suppose to go down, even if 'Flowey' had a different appearance. They were still going to get attacked and they were still going to be 'saved' by Toriel. Chara had then looked to Frisk, then to Asriel again almost wondering what Frisk would do in this situation. There was no doubt that they both knew what happened here. Chara had then stepped up, already hearing Asriel beginning to describe the underground and.. friendliness pellets. Chara had easily helped Frisk and themself avoid the 'pellets' as they had seen Asriel starting to get upset. Chara was moving to attack, knowing to defend themselves as they continued to avoid the pellets.

Frisk listened to the words that Flowey normally said, still having a hard time to come over the fact that Asriel was the one who stood infront of them. Sometimes the timelines had some small differences from eachother, but...never like this. When Asriel began to attack, they finally snapped out of their daze and looked over at Chara.

Seeing how they were moving to attack, Frisk quickly took a gentle grip on their sweater and stopped them from moving. Then they let go again and did some rapid signing that said '
Don't attack'. It was very common that Frisk used signing instead of actually talking, especially in a pressured situation. When doing this, soon enough Asriel had them surrounded with friendlinesspellets with a big grin on his face. "Well, that was fun...now DIE!" He said as the pellets began to inch closer and closer to them. Frisk stood completly still in the middle with Chara, hoping that Toriel would still be here even in this wierd universe they've ended up in.

While Chara hadn't wanted to attack Asriel, for obvious reasons, they knew that they had to protect themself and Frisk first. Plus, it had just been another reset. If anything got too bad they could always just start over, right? Chara had moved in to attack when they'd felt Frisk pull at them. Chara had turned back with a glare that had soon went soft. Chara sighed, getting use to Frisk's signing many resets ago. "We can't just let Asriel attack us..." Chara tried to reason as they were now both trapped by the pellets. Chara had only given the same look they usually did, the 'I told you so' stare as Chara had been waiting for Toriel to step in and save them. The pellets had been getting closer and closer as Chara started to look around. It had seemed like no one was coming and the pellets were getting closer. "This is weird, Tori should be showing up by now" Chara had said, looking to Frisk for answers they knew neither of them had. The pellets kept getting closer and Chara wasn't sure what to do. They had then thought quickly, managing to block most of the pellets from Frisk as they'd taken most of the damage. Chara had then taken the stick from Frisk, ready to attack, as Asriel had been preparing another attack but soon stopped when Asriel had been pushed back by none other than Asgore. Chara had stopped right in their tracks, looking completely shocked now. Chara had then looked to Frisk, now really wondering what this timeline was doing. "Sorry about Asirel, I am Asgore caretaker of the ruins" Asgore had started. Now Chara was really confused.

Frisk saw how the pellets got closer and closer, looking around anxiously after Toriel who seemed to really take her time. This timeline really was something different and they weren't sure if they liked it or not. The pellets were now only inches away from them and they let out a surprised gasp when Chara blocked out most of from them while themself took most of the damage. Frisk could then only watch as they then snatched their stick out of their hands and were moving to attack Asriel. They were just about to tell Chara to stop when they heard a familiar voice.

Frisk stared at Asgore who now stood infront of the two of them in surprise. They turned their head to Chara who seemed just as confused like themself. There was moments of silence before they decided to say anything. "U-Um, hello" They stuttered, not knowing what else to say.

Chara had looked around not seeing Asriel anymore at this point though didn't lower their guard, especially not in front of Asgore. This timeline was already proving to be more than Chara was thinking they could both handle and that meant they would both have to be on their guard. Chara was finding it hard with how Frisk had seemed to not want to fight so early on. "Come child, I can help guide your way through the ruins. Follow me" Asgore had smiled warmly and had began to walk slowly, waiting to be followed. Chara had then looked to Frisk, wondering what they were going to do. In any other timeline Asgore would be fighting them and in many he had succeeded in even killing them. While Chara hadn't trusted Asgore they had known following him was most likely the only safe way through the ruins. "I'm leaving it up to you, what do we do here Frisk?" Chara asked, still making sure to keep the stick in her hands. Frisk had made it clear they didn't want to fight and someone had to be able to defend them if things turned bad quickly.

Frisk looked at Asgore thoughtfully, tilting their head a little. He seemed to resemble Toriel an awful lot in this timeline just like Asriel was acting just like Flowey. They furrowed their brows a little, tugging on their own sweater while they thought out of habit. Frisk already began having a theory about this timeline, but weren't complety sure about it yet. When Chara asked them on what to do, they didn't really see another option than going with Asgore. Taking another route through the ruins probably wouldn't be the safest way of doing it and besides, Asgore didn't seem like much of a threat at the moment.

"I think it's best to go with him" Frisk said quietly, looking over at Asgore who still waited for them. "And we don't got a lot of other options anyways" They added. Frisk gaze seemed a little distant and tired again for a moment as they got ready to walk over to Asgore.

Chara had watched Frisk think about the decision for a while before making it though the tired look hadn't left their face. Chara wasn't sure what to make of it but wasn't sure if they should ask quite yet. They could understand if Frisk was feeling.. weird towards how many times they had now reset. Both of them were well aware it was a crazy amount, one they no longer could count on both hands and feet between the both of them. "Fine. I still don't trust him" Chara muttered as they had gone to walk in front, following Asgore. "At least stay behind me in case anything happens" Chara muttered under their breath, not exactly wanting Asgore to hear that part. Chara had continued to follow Asgore, ignoring any comments he was making as they held the stick a little too tightly in their hand. They had remembered when Asgore was the one attacking them and it still had them on edge.

When Chara told them to stay behind them incase something happened, they just simpy nodded. Although, they hoped that they wouldn't have to fight anymore. They've had enough of violence in previous timelines. Timelines that they tried not to think about. Frisk looked around in the familiar ruins, though they couldn't spot anything else that was different from usual. There was a feeling of curiosity inside them that they haven't felt in quite some time. Probably because everything was in most cases exactly the same.

Asgore had then stopped as they got to their first puzzle, the entrance. "Welcome to your new home my child. Watch closely, the ruins are filled with puzzles just like these." Asgore had then demonstrated how to finish the first puzzle before he'd then walked through. Chara then followed along as they knew now was the time that Toriel would leave them alone on their own for a few feet. It had never really been scary for them but Toriel had always acted like it was a big deal. Chara was already starting to get bored again though was keeping an eye on Asgore as he too had told them to walk without him and get to the end of the hall where they would complete their first puzzel on their own. It hadn't been hard anyway, there were arrows drawn pointing to the switch they needed to press anyway. Chara then looked back at Frisk. "Maybe we were wrong, this is turning out to be just as boring" Chara muttered loud enough for Frisk to hear.
