Compared with group interest checks, most 1x1 interest checks seem to lack variety. There appears to be a checklist of information people adhere to, and any deviation from the list is uncommon. As a result, they all read the same. It is rare to see one formulated around a creative concept or idea the way group checks are.
That’s because your supposed to come up with the plot together. Most 1x1s are built around a particular pairing, whether platonic or romantic.
So the pairing is the center focus with the plot being created with equal input from both partners. Or at least that’s the idea.
A group can’t do that because you have too many characters/players. So the GM has to flesh out the setting/plot beforehand.
It’s kinda of an apple and oranges comparison.
