School was like any other for exchange student Cat Valence, that is until one fateful day she happened to be walking home in a storm. Being struck by 3 bolts of lightning at the same time should have been impossible, but somehow it happened and Cat survived. Confused and scared, Cat returns home and slowly comes to realize that there is something different about her. From the color of her hair to the arcs of energy that seem to move about her when she focused hard enough, she knew her life would never be the same. It wasn't until the next day on her way back to school that she learned that she could will objects into existence by expending her energy that she finally understood a bit about her power. This was also when she encountered the first of her new enemies made of energy. Beating them allowed her to regain any energy she lost netting them the nickname Eltro, a shorten word for electrons she learned in science class.
