Idea Unique Powers

Okay people, give me your most unique power ideas.

Here is my input

The ability to control, consume and materialize data in a hard substance, that can be shaped in a way the user desires. The data materialized can be used to transport data, and the user can easily download and upload data from any computer. The power can evolve to control not only digital data, but all kinds of data and information - steal thoughts, memories and insert them via hard data strings. The data can be sued as offense defense and utility.

Give me your best shot.

Just something I thought of on the spot:

The user can extract emotions from themselves and imbue them into objects. When these objects come into physical contact with another person's skin, the target experiences whatever emotion was stored within the object. The magnitude and the emotion choice is solely dependent upon the user's emotional state when they make the transfer. After making the transfer, the user enters an emotionless, semi-trance like state until they experience something that triggers an emotional reaction, thus returning them to normal.

Oh, and something I forgot to add is that the emotions stored in objects can be applied to the user themselves if they wish.

Some possible uses:

The user can relieve themselves of any negative emotions whenever they wish. In addition, if they were in the middle of a heated fight and things were looking grim and hopeless, why not power-up with a strong dose of determination? The transfer of pain can both remove some of the user's burdens while simultaneously being used as a weapon against enemies.

Once again, just something I thought of on the spot. Definitely not perfect, but I think it's well-balanced and also has its uses.

The ability to manipulate bubbles.

"Now, face my ultimate attack! BUBBLE-BEAM!"
*Nods* Mhm. Mhm. Not bad. I can definitely see the angle you're working.

the power to be able to control any of the body's normal processes. (fight or flight, heart rate, digestion, etc)
Oho. Body Mastery. Not one I've heard exactly before. Well done. Well done.

It's such a good utility power, though.

You can shoot bubbles that fly at the velocity of 500km/h and explode like a C4 explosive! The concept of making something as childish as bubbles into a fearsome power not to be underestimated.

But how will beams of bubbles counteract almighty fire? Won't they just pop once within the range of heat? Cool power, but you have to think about your weakness. A good, unique power in my opinion, should be almost invincible - no matter who it's up against.

Well, the obvious weakness to bubbles is that they pop, silly! Pfft.
Just throw a dart and stuff.

Unless it's supernatural bubbles with a higher molecular density than the dart's pointy part.

:lennymeh: Supernatural bubbles with a higher molecular density is another whole conversation - now you're just showing off Birdsie. Wouldn't high density bubbles be heavy though? So while they become stronger, they're a lot slower? It'd be impractical to shoot out a bunch of those don't you think? Why, I wouldn't be surprised if they weighed you down inside your stomach!

Pffffft! Supernatural bubbles don't apply to physics, you silly, silly thing! Magic is better than physics anyway!

o.o I...had a good idea? also being able to use body manipulation on others would be an incredible support ability. I would limit it, though. No aging people to dust instantly, or unaging people to unborness (I can't word good), basically the most you could do is speed up, activate, or slow down certain processes.

Oh come ON, Einstein. You cannot do this. We agree to a certain set of rules for this thread. You can't just buck them all and do what you want. That's not how life works.

Mmm. Rapid weight gain if they're trying to chase you? Slow breathing so they can't get much oxygen to do things? You're a scary person, friend. I'd hate to meet you in an RP alleyway.

Life is effort and I'll stop when I die! *Shakes fist*

In another RP I'm working on with a friend; I have a character who can copy herself; however with each copy the copies get smaller, and look more like small children; where each copy is half as massive, less intelligent and less strong than the original. I imagined the furthest she could split herself was into 1/32 of herself and at that level the copies would be tiny (I would probably draw the copies more akin to anime chibis than babies/toddlers).

The power can be activated at will but can also be activated if she gets struck by a strong physical attack. If you were to punch her really she'd just break apart into a bunch of little copies to absorb the force; if you cut her in half with a sword at the waist, each half would just become a half-copy, which could then re-merge. However since 32nds of her were her maximum division, those could be killed normally and she could not reform to 32/32 of herself. When this happened, she would go through a growth spirt and regrow the mass and height of that 32nd of herself. She's essentially immortal unless you manage to split her then kill all 32 duplicates.

The character's name was Gina Triduas. Tri-Duas referencing the number 32, the number of times she can split. I have a vague idea of what she looks like, but mostly just created the character because I thought the idea of the power was interesting, and haven't done much development with her.

I also have a character that can control carbon. He can pull the carbon atoms out of CO2 in the air and create diamonds, graphite and carbon nanotubes, and telekinetically. This characters name was Haydin Graphton. I chose Graphton for a last name because it sounded like Graphite. Agian, I have done very little with the character outside of come up with a super-interesting power.

Very nice. I can imagine the trouble her less intelligent clones could have gotten into.

one i have used before. Telepathic Perception Control, the ability to hijack the senses of others via invasive mental link, whether to decieve a sense, hijack a sense, remove something from view a sense, suppress or remove a sense other than touch, implant false emotions and impulses, implant hypnotic suggestions, or add an additional sense to any entity with a working brain, hard drive or nervous system, such as a humanoid, animal or machine, but not quite an inanimate object. the ability has also been used to control NPCs via leading a hive mind via forced connection.

I played a character whose power only served to suppress himself. Strange isn't it? The idea behind it was Nirvana, so the motif I went with were flames. My character would self-conflagrate and the fire didn't harm others at all, it only served to make everything else he did an immense pain and burden. His body got stronger under the continual self-inflicted tribulations, his pain threshold increased, his mental strength improved, etc. It was an arduous but fun process as his powers grew and so did he with it.
