Undead Apocalypse [Inactive]

"Talk about an eventful day." Rena commented and sat down on the couch on the ground. Wow, she hadn't realized until then how much she had missed something as simple as a couch until now.

Perplexed, Dan looked at Nagisa in the corner. "There's a bed-... Nevermind. I guess we're just lucky that she's actually sleeping."

Dan looked at Rena with the small book in her hand. "'The world has ended, and zombies are everywhere. The end.'" Dan said mockingly. "Well, are you gonna read it or what?"

"Read it?" The idea was tempting, she had to admit, but this was Nagisa's personal diary. Then again, it would be interesting to get a look into the mind of someone like Nagisa. "Here goes..." Curiosity overriding guilt, she opened it to a random page.

Dan hadn't expected Rena to actually open the journal, but couldn't hide his excitement now that she had. "Well, what's it say?"

Rena blinked. What...what on earth...? She could barely comprehend the scrawled words and strangely creepy doodles. "I...I don't really know...but it's kind of frightening." she said, passing it over to him so he could look.

Dan took the book from Rena, his hand briefly grazing hers, "Let's see." He looked at the page Rena had opened to before flipping back a few pages. "Oh, look, there's a drawing of us!" He pointed at a series of stick figures with weapons, covered in blood. "Aaaand, Nagisa not only finds you attractive, but thinks you and Adarian are going to hook up. Old news." Dan closed the book with a laugh and handed it back to Rena.

"I guess we should have expected that. Still, there's some pretty dark stuff in there even before we came here. Like about a person she knew named Ryou..." Rena trailed off, not feeling comfortable with saying anything else. She hadn't even been able to finish the entry that had had Ryou in it. That particular one had seemed like an incredibly personal moment, one that she didn't want to know without Nagisa's permission. "Anyway, I guess it's time for us to go to sleep too."

Nagisa laughed, she had seemingly watched them the entire time.

"It's fine, I don't mind you guys looking in my diary..", she said with a giggle, and she laid back down again. She tried to hide it but she was crying again, just silently this time.

Rena dropped the book in surprise, causing it to fall in her lap. "Nagisa, I'm sorry..." she said, even though the other had said it was alright.

Dan looked over at Nagisa, wondering what was going on in her mind. "Maybe we can take some time to get to know each other better in the morning...," Dan leaned back, crossing his arms and closing his eyes. He knew he would only be able to manage a light sleep, but he was so tired that he decided it would be better than nothing.

"I..It's fine", she said, wiping her tears away.

"I don't even know why I'm crying.. I don't really remember, Ryou", she said with a smile, and then she quickly went to sleep.

Guilt weighing on her heart like a stone, Rena set the book aside. "I guess I'll take the bed upstairs, if no one minds." she stated and stood up. Honestly, she just wanted to be alone for a little while. Not only did she feel bad for looking at the diary, but the helplessness of their situation suddenly struck her hard again.

They were the only living beings in an apocalpyse, one of which was missing and another that had left to protect them. Not for the first time, she wished Adarian was still there, so she could at least know he was alright.

Rena walked up stairs and into the bedroom. After laying down on the bed she curled up, allowing herself to show sadness now that she wasn't in front of the others. She closed her eyes and willed for sleep to come.

I came in shortly after Rena fell asleep. The outside was now void of our scents, and the windows were practically zombie-proof. I entered the kitchen and after injecting my blue liquid again, I began to make coffee.

Nagisa came up from behind her.

"I'm going to go back to bed soon, but I just kept waking up so I decided to check out what the noise I heard was", she said with a smile.

She began to walk around and had caught hold of her diary, beginning to write in it as she sat in her corner.

Dan had been listening to Nagisa and Savvanah move around that morning, but still chose to sit there on the couch with his eyes closed. Feeling like a creep listening in on their conversation motivated him to get up and continue to explore the house however. He lifted himself up off the couch and stretched before heading for the stairs.

Dan didn't get far before noticing he had a follower. "So, come here often?" He did his best to lighten the mood.

I shake my head. "This is where I hid for a while. Then I came to find others and was attacked, which lead me to you all."

Dan continued up the stairs, taking note of the three rooms on the second floor. This time he only peeked into the first room, noticing Rena asleep in the bed. "Shh..," He gestured with a finger to his lips and moved on to the next door. Another bedroom awaited them behind the second door, seeming to have belonged to a younger child at some point.

I shake my head at him and move to the third room, opening the door to reveal the master bedroom. I smile and enter, looking around. The bed was enormous; no doubt a king size. Dark brown furniture accented the beige walls and curtains. I sat on the bed, laying back into it's softness.

The Tank's fist crushed through the survivors skull with ease. The Tank looked around for another victim finding none he crashed through an adjacent wall. The Tank plowed over several zombies who had been milling around in the street. Its nostrils flared as it attempted to pick up a scent. After ten minutes the hulking zombie stopped body growing rigged. Letting out a roar that echoed for miles the beast moved forward, it had its next target.
