Umm... Hello

Hey,


Since I've already made one post, I guess introductions are in order. My role playing experience includes two years of D&D in high school, and I've been RPing online for a little over two years now. I prefer science fiction and fandom RPs although I dabble in other areas like fantasy and the occasional realistic RP. I like detailed group RPs though I don't restrict myself to just that. If you recognize my profile pic, yeah, I do like Mass Effect. Most of my RPing the past two years has been with OCs in the ME universe. One of these days I want to try my hand at world building though so far it's just been ideas and random notes.


With all the anime lovers on the site I would be remiss if I didn't mention that I like "old school" stuff like Akira and Project Ako although a friend of mine recently turned me on to Rocket Girls, Read or Die, and RWBY.

I know I already posted my fondness for Mass Effect on your wall, but I think it's universe is great to play in.


You like science fiction? Awesome! So do I! It's my favorite genre.


I've never played D&D, but we have Dice reolplays here if you'd like to start something similar to that on site.

Agree about ME being a great universe to play in. Curious to see where they go with ME 4. Haven't been paying much attention to the details, though I hear it will be out sometime next year.


Been on a bit of a space opera kick lately with reading Peter Hamilton. World/universe building has always fascinated me.


Haven't had much of a desire to play D&D lately. I don't mind fantasy, for a while I was on a big Michael Moorcock kick. I think it's just easier for me to write science fiction since I understand it much better.

I as well, I'm eager to see how they reveal ME without Shepard. I have a feeling they're going to bring back a previous comrade in it though, and also no Reapers, so I'm very curious about that.

If they were to bring back a previous comrade, my guess would be Liara since Asari have long lives and she seems to be the favorite of the writers. Be interesting to see if they create another external threat like the Reapers or is it a conflict among the different races.

Welcome to RPN, Ducky! I'm a bit of a sci-fi nerd myself, but I'm also old lol so my interests stem more towards the classics (yes... I'm a Trekky >->)


That being said, I'm a relatively eclectic rper, so here's to meeting up some day, among the fray.

Thanks, Elle. I'm also a Trekky, like "classic" Doctor Who, and I've even played Classic Traveller before though I don't have the time to do right now.
