Emily blushed again and Logan smirked a little, but then she nodded. "We keep it secret from our siblings, so long as yours doesn't bring it up to them I think everything will be fine." She pointed out. A faint note of sass in her tone that usually only Logan or Nathan had the joy of hearing from her. In fact the closer Logan had gotten to Emily, he realized she could be quite sassy and sarcastic, you just had to get past that shield she kept up around herself.
"I'd say it's up to you. We'll go out there regardless tomorrow, but if you want to have a ride to make it quicker, then I'd say get your brother on board, it's not like we're going to tell him it's not a school approved field trip." Logan said with a smirk as he absently reached for his pen, twirling it between his fingers as an unconscious fidget. He was often fidgety though. They both looked up at the knock on the door and watched in faint amusement as Kael's sibling came to pick him up. The teacher looked between Ban and then Kael but nodded. Of course she had known what Kael had done and was not surprised that he was sent for to be taken home. She reminded Kael that the art club was always open to him though should he feel the need to express himself again.
When art club had finished for the day, Nathan came to pick up Emily and offered Logan a ride home too. Logan took it of course and he and Emily talked about their new ideas for the comic they were writing. Both were looking forward to the next day though and getting to go to the abandoned area to show Kael what it was all about. It

The next day Hayden walked to school with Logan, stopping by the middle school first as he went in, and then making her way towards the high school. An old red truck pulled up beside her as she walked along the sidewalk. She looked over, raising an eyebrow in question. She recognized the truck as Nathan's, having seen it plenty of times. She came to a stop as he did and watched curiously as he rolled down the passenger side window.
"Hey, want a ride the rest of the way?" He asked her. Hayden shrugged, but then nodded, climbing in. She remained silent for the first part of the drive after thanking him for the lift. Every now and then she could feel Nathan look over to her and she could practically feel that he wanted to say something.
"Is something the matter?" She asked. She looked over to him.
"Nah, I just...well I wanted to apologize for yesterday, you seemed pretty uncomfortable with Ban." He said. He was dying to ask her why that was, why what the new kid had said seemed to have affected her so much, but decided for now to keep those questions to himself. "And to point out that you're being awfully quiet with me again. I thought we had gotten past that this summer since we ended up hanging out more?" He added, smiling this time. Hayden smirked a little.
"We did...I'm just a quiet person." She pointed out. Nathan chuckled.
"That you are. Though you don't seem shy like Emily, you always just seem to be watchful." He pointed out. Hayden was taken aback by his observation. Just because he was friendly to her didn't mean she had thought he was paying that much attention to her. She shrugged.
"I like to observe." She said simply and Nathan chuckled a little again. She had been much more talkative with him over the summer, but he supposed their siblings had also been there as a buffer of sorts and it had been a few weeks since they'd seen each other, at least until the day before. He didn't think anything of it though, he didn't mind that she was quiet and he knew she wasn't being intentionally vague with him. The rest of the drive was spent in relatively comfortable silence as Nathan pulled into the school and parked. He offered Hayden a smile as they walked in together, catching quite a few stares from the other students as they passed by.
"Thank you for the ride." Hayden said, offering a shy smile before splitting away from him and going to find Delilah.

Claire stepped inside as he opened the door for him, offering a word of thanks as she looked around briefly and then back to Michael as he spoke to her. She nodded her understanding. "Got it, I'll...I'll see you later then I guess." She offered him a small smile, stepping further into the house and looking around a little more in-depth. She liked Michael, he seemed like a good guy and she felt just a little more hopeful than she had when she had first been told she would be sent as a gift. She was still a little uneasy, and not overly thrilled that she would likely have someone always watching her and reporting back to Garrett, but she knew that was to be expected. Once Michael was gone, she took her time wandering around the house and exploring every inch of it. She was genuinely curious but the new space she would be calling home. It was a nice home, simply furnished and decorated, but still warm feeling. She went to the bedrooms until she found the one where her minimal things had been brought. None of her clothes had been brought, she would have to buy new ones here so she smelled more like this town. But she had books, journals, sketch pads, and stationary...though she wasn't sure she would have much freedom to even be able to send letters to her family. She put them up and then returned to the living room, this time with one of her books to read either until someone came over, or until she decided to go to bed.
