Two Sided Killer

When anna got home she slammed the door, no one would hear, her parents were at work. Her hands went to her cheek which was damp with a few tears. She hadn't realized on the way home she started to cry, she wasn't sure why either. It could be fear of the reason they sent all of the students home, another murder, or it could be that the boy she thought turned into her friend, was really just some jerk playing with her. Her back hit the door and she slid down to the floor curling up into a ball. All of this was just too much, smething inside of her madde her wish the murderer would choose her as his next target, just so she could get this all over with.... not even her sketchbook could help her esape...

Yang stood in front of Anna's house for awhile just staring at her door. His body wouldn't move to even knock or ring the door bell. What if she thinks im a jerk? What if she didn't like me anymore? Not like she and him were the best of friends, but what they had was comfortable right? He just needed to gain her trust for his sake, the threat of losing her was sending him into a depression and the floor was crumbling under him.

He gulped before ringing the door bell.

"A-Anna...?"

Hearing the door bell ring and his voice right outside the door behind her put a mix of anger and sorrow inside of her. She shot up wiping any residue tears off of her face and taking a deep breath before opening the door. The first thing she looked at was his eyes, they were purple now, not the crimson they were before. Does this mean he went back to normal? Or was the other yang normal...?

"What do you want...?"

Yang cringed at her tone of voice as she 'greeted' him after she opened the door. His eyes fell to the floor as he couldn't bring himself to look at her, but not after noticing that she had a slight puffy face. It looked like she had been crying. With a shaky voice he mustered up enough confidence to plead his case.

"I..I wanted to talk to you. I-I'm really sorry about what.... I said in the courtyard."

Anna stared at him for a few seconds, as if to judge his character to see if he was truly sincere. Her face stayed cold and she stood her ground, not inviting him into her home.

"If you were sorry... You wouldn't have acted that way in the first place....."

She swallowed and looked away from him taking her hand off of the door me too her arm

"I'm not your toy...."

Yang stood frozen in place as he watched her look away from her. His heart aching as he replayed her voice over and over in his head. I'm not your Toy...

Yang winced at the girl as if her words at shoved a knife down his throat and into his heart. She was his only friend. She was his only reason for coming to school anymore, and she was hurt because she thought he was an insensitive jerk. He felt his eyes sting with water as he almost started to cry. Almost. He looked at her with weary eyes as he practically begged her to talk to him.

"A-Anna... I'm really sorry.. Its just... Difficult...Please forgive me.."

"Then tell me what's wrong!" Anna almost demanded her fists clenching to avoid him seeing them shake. Her eyes went back up to his face "I thought I started to have one friend, one. I'm scared and I need one. But you're scaring me as much as these murders.." She told him her voice cracking a little. There was a question though that might solve all of this, but only if he answered it "why do your eyes change color?"

Hang winced as she yelled loudly at him, it was the first time she had raised her voice at him and it mad his heart skip a beat. Looking at her with pleading eyes he bit his lip nervously. Should he tell her? Tell her he was the sole purpose for the murders or lie to her again and watch her slam the door of friendship in his face, locking it away forever. His face went pale as he thought. His head hurt again and his hand reached up to grab the side of his head as it throbbed and his eye glazed over a bit. He was going to tell her the truth... Well part of the truth to not scare her away...

"P-please... Dont hate me..."

Anna's face softened a little realizing all this must be difficult. Yelling at him wasn't going to fix or make anything better. Looking at him he looked as though he was about to faint. She stepped forward and gently grabbed his arm bringing him inside to the living room to sit down in case he really did. With a deep breath she gave him a nod "I promise..." She said quietly and looked at him "please tell me why.."

Yang sat for a moment in silence looking at her, she really was going to hear him through with this. He could see it in her eyes. He coughed nervously before opening his mouth to speak.

"W-when I was little.. My mother was killed in front of me. I mean she was basically slaughtered. Blood everywhere... By my father. He said it was for the better. I went insane for a brief time but with medical and sociological I got better by my freshman year so they allowed me to attend. But after awhile I herd this voice... In my head telling me to do things. The doctors said that it was just the shock of the treatment but.... I started to lose control..."

He looked down at his hands as he sat continued the story. His fingers balling up as he furrowed his brows.

"T-then.. One day I black out... And when I come to. Bad things had happen... My care taker said my eyes would change colors. I didn't know what to do. So I just forced it into the back of my head..."

"I-.." Anna looked away in a bit of shock "-I'm.. Sorry.." She said quietly not sure what else could be said. All of that explains why he's so nervous most of the time. It explains why he acted the way he did for the past few days "so... When you came over the other day... And in the courtyard... That's wasn't you?" Even though she already knew the answer she asked. No wonder he tried to push away what had happened the other day, he didn't really mean it. It wasn't really him saying it. A bit of her was curious for more but she wouldn't push it out of him, not after what he told her. "Are you seeking any help?" She asked

Yang nodded his heads as she spoke. He was glad she understood him in a way no other had, it was good to get some of this weight off his chest.

"Yeah, im trying. I take some pills but nothing to serious..."

He looked at her as he felt a little better than before, his headache vanished and his vision was back to normal.

"A-Anna.. Anything I say when im not myself... I don't mean... Its just.. I cant control it.."

Anna frowned and looked a little disappointed

"So everything you said yesterday... T-that wasn't you..."

Her voice was quiet and she hugged herself a little bit. She knew she had gotten her hopes up about the other day, when he came over to his house his eyes were red

Yang looked at her reaching a hand up to scratch the back of his head nervously. Figuring this would be a good time to tell her how he really get all this time. But his nerves got the best of him and he fumbled.

"Well... Ermm... I did... Say .."

Anna glanced briefly towards him but only for a second keeping her gaze to the ground.

"B-but your eyes.... They were red"

Her voice was quiet and defeated.

Yang looked at her sadness as her eyes found the floor. Inside his chest his heart aches for more than friendship, he wanted to know that she could be his in some way shape of form. But how could he protect her from himself? His head hurt then more he thought on the situation, but he would manage he needed to tell her how he felt. Whether she believed him or not. His heart pounded his in chest as he gained his courage, today was the day he would confess his love!

"A-Anna.. I love you!"

Anna froze, her eyes widened in shock and surprised when the words were uttered. It took a while for her mind to process them as if it was trying to figure out if they were actually muttered. Her head turned now to look at him, in the eyes. Either to check if they were still that wonderful purple, or maybe to see if he was being sincere. Her cheeks turned a deep rose red

"W-what?"

Was all she could muster up to say

Yangs chest was thumped against his own chest as his heart made and attempt to jump from his throat. His face felt like it was on fire as his blush made its way all the way to his ears. He finally did it, he finally told her how he felt. Since elementary school he's silently watched her from afar reading or drawing in her book and today he made it known. He nearly fainted as she looked up at him with her innocent eyes and question him. He quickly shook his head up and down as he determinedly looked at her. Not letting his eyes fall to the ground as they usually did, she needed to know he was serious!

"And I have been...f-for a long time.."

Anna froze again in silence. Just thinking. He seemed to mean it. Every word. She was more thinking if it seem desperate or wrong to think the same way. She thought of how it all might play out. He was already in her life, he has been for a long time whether they really spent time together or not. She didn't think he would leave. She bit her lip not finding any proper words to say that would express what she was feeling. With a small nod she leaned in and gave him a simple gentle kiss on the cheek hoping that said all she wanted to say

Yang's heart burst from his chest as he felt her soft.lips place a kiss on his check. Since he wasn't really good with the ladies this was the first.time he really received any kiss that wasn't from his family, he reached up and touched his face as she stared at him with a kind expression. Then his face felt warm. His face? His hand reached to touch his nose as his eyes widened. Yang had had a nose bleed. His shaky hands fumbled to keep it from dripping on his clothes and her furniture.

"I-I'm sorry Anna!"

Anna stood up seeing the blood and rushed to find tissues. Quickly she handed him the box and tried to help him herself putting the tissues on his nose

"A-are you ok?"

She asked her face becoming a deeper red, not at all was she expecting a reaction like that. Obviously the kiss communicated the message she wanted it too. When his nose and the small mess was cleaned up she wrapped her arms around him pulling in for a hung

"I feel safe now yang..."

Yang relaxers once her arms wrapped around him, allowing her to squeeze him. Unsure what to do with his hands he just left them in his lap. He closed his eyes as he took in her sent. She smelled like the freshest flowers and brightest fruit, he really liked her but the was a part of him that really wanted to tell her all the truth. The truth that he was the reason she was unsafe, that he was the unnamed killer. He sighed inwardly as he let her hug him.

"T-That's good..."

And soon enough a loud and unmistakable growl emerged from.the both if them. Well from Yang in all of the rush he had forgotten to get something to eat and his stomach was paying for it.

"Sorry..."

Anna pulled away with a little giggle, that announcment was made in the middle of lunch and all she had was a few grapes, so she could admit she was hungry herself. And as far as she knew he didn't eat anything either, well atleast his other self didn't. Now thinking about this she was questioning what she had gotten herself into. Sure he needs someone to be with him, and help him with this but his other self is so unpredictable to her, one minute he was sweet the next a complete jerk. Over the days it may be easier to get used to it but for now everything was so unsure

"I could make us some lunch if you want"

she finally said and stood up

"Though after the announcment they made I'm not sure I can eat anymore"

Yang blushed as he stood scratching his head nervously as he looked at her smile at him. The truth was he really was hungry so he wouldn't turn her down this time.

"Please? If its not to much."
