Twins, etc.

There's some supposedly mystical stuff about twins, triplets and so on in the real world; however, I've noticed a lack of anything similar in Exalted. The closest I've seen is the Sworn Brothers' Oath spell, which implies some sort of potency to siblingitute in general.


What do you think? Would twins, triplets and so forth - particularly identical ones - gain any sort of special quality as part of Creation's general magical atmosphere?

I'd make it a Background and have it work more or less like Whispers, only two-way, and without the spooky necro-stuff.

Huh...never really thought about it...and I have a character who has an identical twin sister (I took her as the Ally background, myself). She had twins of her own due to an 'oops' moment (darn double botch on a two die Temperance roll)...scary identical inheritance 6 Half Caste Sidereal twin girl babies that had their essence awakened when they were born, according to the ST (apparently, pregnancy=bad time to increase essence to 5, apparently *chuckles*)...and I never actually gave a single thought to something like this for her (or her kids, if I ever played one of 'em)...


The background thing sounds kind of neat...though I'd probably more make it a one or two point Merit, since I'm not sure how it'd scale for a background. I rather doubt they have in-vitro and stuff causing much in the way of Quints, or even Quads...and the odds of all of such a group of babies surviving is kind of slim, all told. *looks thoughtful*

I guess it depens on how strong you want the bond to be. In my current dragonblooded campaign there are two npc twins. They are identical twins but with vastly different personlities. One is a brooding air aspect and the other a charming fire aspect, together they are a lot like the weasley twins and very popular on parties, being house cynis and all. I let them constantly operate under a sworn brotherhood spell for free because they are meant to be some kind of "perfect team".
