Twilight 1x1 with Saikhan Rose

Ferrah followed her gaze, going slightly dreamy. "Those are the Cullen's," she said, looking at Jasper in particular. "They moved here from Alaska. They're the adopted children of Dr. Cullen. By the weird thing is - they're all together. Like, TOGETHER."

Emmett grinned at Rosalie, taking the seat next to her. Edward sat down as well, trying to sort through all the thoughts he was hearing. He sniffed the air, smelling something he'd never smelled before.
 
"Nope. He's the only single one," Ferrah said that with somewhat of a grimace. She cursed her stupid feelings for Jasper. 'Stupid stupid stupid...' she thought, over and over again.

Emmett smiled wolfishly at his wife, slinging an arm over her shoulders. Over all of the thoughts he heard, all Edward could focus on was a string of 'Stupids'.
 
(I'm not trying to be mean, but could you write a bit more? One liners aren't very fun)


"Come on!" Ferrah said with a giggle, poking Bella's arm. "It's okay to admit it. He's very handsome. All of them are," she said, thinking about Jasper again. She mentally shook her head. 'He's got a beautiful girlfriend,' she told herself, frowning a bit. It wasn't right to think about him that way. 
(I'm sorry if I offended you! If you have to write one liners, I understand.)
 
(Yeah, sorry!)


"I know. They are beautiful, I guess." She sighed, running her hand through her hair. "I guess I like him. Maybe." She said awkwardly. She had gotten used to this girl, and made friends. She was still being shy. She tried to hide a blush with her hands.
 
(When you didn't reply, I was afraid I'd hurt your feelings!)


Ferrah laughed, clapping her hands. "That's sweet," she told Bella, smiling. Then, looking around sneakily, she leaned towards her new friend and whispered:


"I have a crush on Jasper," her cheeks turned bright pink, and she looked slightly embaressed.

Edward heard the words 'I have a crush on Jasper'. He smirked as he found the source of the words, then nudged Jasper. "I think someone likes you," he said in a low voice, subtly nodding his head towards the red head across the cafeteria. He was fighting a laugh from rising up.
 
(No, I was getting a new phone.)


"I wouldn't blame you. Like you said, they are gorgeous. But isn't he with that one that looks like a fairy?" Bella asked, smiling.

"Oh, does she?" Jasper quirked an eyebrow, and amused smile dancing across his lips.
 
(Cool! :D )


Ferrah laughed. "Yeah, her name is Alice. She's so beautiful," she didn't mean to sound envious, but the tone slipped out anyways. "Not that I would ever dream of making any moves," she added quickly. She may not have a lot of tact, but she knew when not to say things.

Edward let out the laugh, tuning into their conversation. "She said that Alice was beautiful, not that she'd dream of putting any moves on you," he recited, grinning a little.
 
"Yeah. All of them are." Bella glanced over at Farrah. "You can sense your envy so much I can barely taste it. Not that I would judge you." She smiled, running her hand through her hair.

"Well, at least she tells the truth." Jasper grinned, taking Alice's hand.
 
Ferrah blushed brighter, if that was possible, then fell forward, hitting her head against the table. "It's so stupid. I hate liking him. I hate it so much. It's painful sometimes, you know? Seeing him look happy with her...I suppose that's all I can hope for, is for him to be happy," her voice was muffled by the table.

Edward frowned, her thoughts taking a sadder turn. He almost felt bad for her, knowing that Jasper was happy with Alice. "She hates it. Liking you. It makes her miserable. Surely you can feel her emotions," he said, angling his body towards Jasper.
 
Bella's smile slowly faded. "It's ok. I guess it is the only thing you can hope for. You'll me Mr. Right when he comes." She said, trying to coax her friend from hiding her face in the lunch table.

Jasper blinked and nodded slowly. "She will understand. I was meant to be with Alice."
 
Ferrah lifted her head up, forcing a smile onto her face. She didn't want to seem sorry for herself. "You're right. Thanks," Ferrah said, looking at Bella. She ignored the growing ball of misery in her stomach.

"I know. I can't help but feel a little pity," Edward said. He looked at the girl next to her and tried to press into her mind. He froze when he couldn't tell what she was thinking. He pressed harder, all to no avail. He kept his face impassive, even as his frustration grew.
 
"Yeah. No problem." Bella said awkwardly.

Jasper saw Edward's face. "And what is the girl next to her thinking about this?" He asked.
 
Ferrah tried to brighten up, smiling at her. "You're a good friend, Bella," she said, looking shy for the first time since she'd met her.

"I don't know," Edward said, starting to get deeply troubled. He stared hard at the girl and tried to concentrate, but still nothing happened. His brow furrowed, the only outward indication of his inner turmoil.
 
"I try to be. You're not all that bad yourself." Bella replied, smiling. She noticed the boy next to 'Jasper' looking at her and she blushed, turning away.

"You're saying... you can't read her mind?" Jasper became confused. He noticed Edward's eyebrow furrow.
 
"Well thank you," Ferrah giggled, momentarily forgetting her worries. She saw Bella blush and quirked a brow. "What is it?" she asked her, looking amusedly at Bella.

"Yes!" Edward said, giving up for a moment and leaning back in his chair. "I don't understand. This has never happened before," he was worried. What was so special about this human?
 
"Nothing." Bella said. She shook her head at herself. This is silly Bella, you've seen him once. It can't be right to already... crush on him.

Jasper shrugged. "Maybe you're trying too hard to read her mind. I can feel her emotions clearly."
 
Ferrah laughed, smiling widely at her friend. "Sureeee..." she said unconvinced, but she decided not to push her on it.

"Maybe..." he agreed, still looking a bit troubled. He made sure he could read the girl next to her. Her thoughts were loud and clear. He tried to read Bella's again.


Nothing!
 
"It's nothing." Bella said again, trying as hard as she could to turn her face from bright tomato red to pale.

Jasper's face showed a sign of confusion. "That's odd, I don't know."
 
Ferrah held up her hands, a twinkle in her green eyes. "Okay, okay," she conceded, a grin on her face as she watched Bella fight a blush.

Edward tried to shrug it off. "I'm probably just hungry," he told Jasper, a meek smile on his face. That was probably it. He's have to hunt soon.
 
Bella smiled, tapping her fingers on the lunch table. She was sure her face had cooled, being how Forks is so wet and cold.

"Yeah. This weekend we have to go up and hunt." Jasper agreed.
 
The lunch bell rang and Ferrah stood up, stretching her back a bit as she looked down at Bella. "What class do you have next?" she asked her.

Edward sighed as the bell rang and he stood up, immediately going to dump his tray. He started for his next class - biology - after waving at all of his siblings.
