It's-…. cold- and…. blurry?

Thoughts swirled in the young girls mind as she slowly stumbled to her feet, pressing a soft and pale palm against her forehead as she squinted her eyes a little trying to focus, the vivid blue orbs sparkled like crystal as they opened fully and glanced around the white roomed cell. Her head throbbed, it felt like she'd just waken from some long dream, like for the first time in a while things were actually clear. Her mind strained to think back to what happened all those years ago, a couple of months, a week, yesterday?, it all came up blank and dull, small blacked out flickers that sparked out quicker than they'd come. It wasn't long till a voice called from outside, "Subject twenty four of the K59C project you are to report to centre garden immediately." the guard let out with a small huff, pulling open the heavy metal door of the white walled room.

With a small nod Tessa shook the confusion from her mind and slowly took a step forwards half out of it and almost falling as she caught herself against a wall, panting slightly from a pain throbbing in her head and the dizziness that came with it. "Hurry up kiddo, it's your first day back in the real world~…." the guard went on to chuckle, a smirk appearing on half of his lips as he tugged her forwards into a stabilised position before pushing her onwards and closing the door behind her, leading her down through the halls and other mysteriously marked doorways, hard silverish grey metal and bolted walls surrounded them as she looked around, rubbing at her arm and wincing, only now noticing the strange scarring covering both them and her upper legs in strange thrown like patterns, spotted from beneath the plain white dress like attire she was wearing.

It was an odd feeling, it was like only yesterday she was out on the streets, stealing loaves of bread from trees vendors for a living and travelling across vast desserts with barely a drink, the only clothing held dear being the tattered and warm fabric of the brown hood before- before, what happened exactly back then? Something and then she was suddenly, here. Her head throbbed more as she tried desperately to delve back into her memories, the guard behind her chuckled once again, "It's no use trying to remember kid. All of thats long gone…." he began before the smirk drifted from his lips a little into a more serious expression, "For ya own good." he finished quietly before pushing her forwards once more towards a large door, letting go of the grip on her arm and taking a step back, "Code access 24 initiate. Subject entering." he spoke in a monotone and trained voice. A large doorway suddenly opened as the door clattered and slid open, within was something so beautiful it could take even the hardest should breath away.

"Wh-What is this place-…." Tessa stumbled over her own words, eyes widening as she stood hands holding each arm as she looked around, slowly walking forwards and before another word could be spoken the guard disappeared behind the closing doors, leaving her staring at a true area of what seemed like paradise. Lush greenery, tae trees with plentiful fruit and beautiful flowers growing from the soft green grass. Walking forwards she couldn't help but take in its wonder, at least until she almost face planted straight into a tree and let out an awkward giggle, rubbing at the back of her head timidly with long hair settling around her shoulders she spotted a small group over by one of the walls nearby, two white cloaked older people stood in front with unnerving smiles, a female with black straightened hair and a ponytail and an the other a balding man with grey tipped hair looking far less friendly.

Walking over she stared up at them curiously, "I'm sure you're all rather confused as things stand, though I can assure you in due time everything will come clear." the man begun with a stern and no questions asked sort of tone, the woman sighed and hit him lightly on the arm causing him to rear back in distaste and rub at the spot, raising a brow, "Don't listen to that old grump!~ You're all part of a very special program, you may not remember anything right now but I'm sure some things will come to you in due time. For one reason or another you were brought out of the devastation that was once our home, from all around the countries to be in our very important research, the K59C project. From now on you're all going to live here with us in this place, well- not with use exactly, but you get to live here and isn't it beautiful!~ This place is called The Garden, one of the last places and largest collections of exotic plant species gathered together in one protective dome. Here you will be safe from everything and everyone you could imagine! We'll supply food, water, clothing, housing and anything else you could possibly need in return for your service! Though- We'll get into details on what exactly that is later. For now we simply want you to enjoy yourselves and well, quite simply put find love!" she chuckled with an overly cheerful grin.

The man stepped forwards and coughed once to clear his throat, giving a glare to his over bubbly companion, "Yes. As my associate was saying as part of the new world protocol of the sanctuary, not to mention the utmost importance of this experiment you have all been paired with what we deem as a 'match' someone who you will share the rest of your life here with in very- close, relations. Though most of you were but young children when brought in you're all developed into perfect breeding candidates, we're sure you understand well enough what that means. You are to bring forth newer, healthier and more importantly powerful future generations for this long wasted world, all females will bear children whenever possible after of course first finding connection with their partner, we're not barbarians after all and men and to give what is needed for such a process to occur. We will have a special introduction to such later this week with your overseers but for the time being all that is important is to relax and get used to your new changes." he added in an unimpressed and non caring tone, the woman quickly butted in trying to make it seem more friendly, "What he's trying to say is that you all have amazing powers now! things that'll help you improve the world and everyones lives including your own through our testing, you'll all naturally know how to use them bu uh not exactly to a perfect degree, so we ask nobody try and overexert themselves till we start proper training!~" she smiled, and with that and a wave the two left back out the door, leaving the collection of teenagers to mingle amongst one another.

If each were to look down at their hands there'd be a black pen like marking sketched onto the back of their hands with both their own name and subject number along with that of another, the words matched scribbled in small writing beside it.

Tessa blinked a few times having been staring at the writing most of the presentation of sorts, rubbing a finger over it lightly before looking around for whoever the person listed could possibly be, finally snapping out of the daze a small and nervous smile came onto her lips as she began to walk forwards into the crowd further once again, bare feet sinking into the grass with a feeling that was almost ticklish, it was then a strange feeling filled her chest and her face paled, closing her eyes tightly she covered her mouth with a hand and gagged slightly, crouching over a little as she blinked back watery eyes from the sensation, a moment later swallowing and releasing the hand, letting out a long breath as she leant agains the wall briefly, trying to recover the smile as a hand drifted to her stomach and lightly touched it, looking down curiously at the oddly firm feeling but pushing it to the side for the time being.

"D-Derreck Me-Mes'jack?…. number 34?" she called out timidly into the group, stiffening up and a light pink blush daunting her pale cheeks, hands gripping at her dress hem tightly with straightened arms like a small nervous child, trying to be as sure as possible in this strange new setting, after all it couldn't hurt to make a new friend so quickly, right? 'Maybe-…. this won't be so bad after all then?….' she thought to herself nervously yet optimistic.

Her eyes shot open as she bolted upright, her hand immediately going to her chest. Her heart was racing for some reason, but, gone. That crazy dream was gone as soon as she woke up, her thoughts being replaced by a muddled grey cloud. What the hell was going on? She wondered, looking around the white room. It was harsh, the color, not the surroundings themselves, but her eyes didn't like it. It was, it was too much. Looking around, she took in her rather bland surroundings, nothing present giving her an answer to any of the questions she had. However, when a restless feeling began to settle in, the young woman decided it was time to move.

Anna forced herself up, taking a moment to get use to her feet again before taking a step. Then another, and another, until after only a few seconds she was walking around in a small, slowly executed circle. She was getting use to her feet again, walking out the cramps and tingling feeling in her toes, while letting her body return to a state that felt relativelynormal. As she did this, she began to think. Her mind was somewhat clear, but her memorieswere simply not there. Things like her name, how to speak, her favorite color, simple stuff you learn early on were there, but everything eles was just absent.

The fact she couldn't remember anything was a little odd, but it didn't bother Anna too much. Based on the fact her surroundings were no longer a little shared shack with her parents meant that she was forgetting some major things. Also the fact she was fairly certain she was no longer a child was pretty big hint. However, maybe it was best she didn't know what had happened to her. Well, not that she didn't have an idea or two. Her most plausibly explanation was that she had totally been abducted by aliens and was about to participate in a fight to death with other prisoners. But...you know, that was just a guess.

Anyway, another few minutes passed with Anna just walking in that circle; before the door started to open. "Subject 53, come with us." Two men, guards most likely, beckoned for her, standing outside her cell door. She wasn't going to, obviously, but her body moved before she could do anything. Subject 53 was something familiar, yet just one of many things she probably wouldn't be able to place. They stepped aside letting her out, taking her somewhat hostile glare as if it was nothing, before motioning for her to walk. They led her in complete silence, keeping their well trained eyes on the cross armed girl, who was trapped imbetween them. "So, where ya takin me?" She asked finally, looking around. Her flight or fight responses hadn't kicked in yet, infact she was just calm all around. It was a bit freaky.

"You'll see. It's not much further," One of them said, though she couldn't tell you which one it was. "Everything thing will be explained shortly, and you have no reason to be worried." He said this, as if she was worried in the first place.

"Figured," She muttered, falling silent again. And she would stay silent until they reached the entrance to where ever she was going. Anna had to wince when the door opened, taking her first steps into the garden place. After her eyes had fully gotten use to it, she couldn't help but be taken over by her awe. It was absolutly gorgeous, everything was absolutly stunning. The trees, the fresh air, the sky. Anna couldn't help but smile. It felt like she hasn't seen anything like this in ages, and began to slowly walk down a small path, her do get a lightly brushing everything she could touch as she went along.

Of course, she quickly found the group of other teens and young adults. Most everything one there looked to be in varying degrees of confusion or shock, some maybe just rather pleased. She could understand all of that, but the young woman kept to the back of the group. These two explaining everything gave her a bit of pause, so she didn't want to be close. But what they were saying sounded important, so she listened. Her original video of aliens though we're being put to rest however. Which, was oddly reassuring.

Anyway, once the talking two were gone, her eyes danced around the small crowd, before going to her hand. Her name was there, of course, but so was another's. "Carter Valedarian," She said aloud, her eyes going back up to look around. "I wonder who you are?"

Mentioned-

The room was starting to get to Carter. He had been awake for hours now, and sitting staring at nothing but the blank white walls for that long, alone with nothing but his thoughts to keep him entertained... well, it was wearing on him. The deathly silence didn’t help at all. He was staring to think he was going insane. Was that his heartbeat he heard, or was he hallucinating now?

Carter sat upright in one of the corners of the room, curled up with his arms wrapped around his legs. It felt colder than it had earlier, and his stomach seemed to be attempting to rip him apart from the inside.

His eyes flickered back to his hand for what felt like the millionth time. He had already memorized the words written on the back, but for some odd reason, he felt an inexplicable urge to memorize them even further. To bore those two names into his brain until he was sure he would never forget them.

Subject #029
Carter Valedarian
xX-Matched-Xx
Subject #053
Annalies James

Carter had no idea what those words were supposed to mean. Thinking on it made him feel sour. Everything else from his past was blurry. He could remember patches from events that he was sure took place just yesterday. He could never make out the faces of the people in those memories. Two people, adults, they’re clearly upset about something. Some other faded memories lie scattered throughout his subconscious, but of all of them, that one felt the most recent. After that all he could recall was waking up a few hours back in this ugly, bland room.

Should he scream? Screaming was beginning to sound like a fun idea. How loud could he get before his lungs burst? Would someone hear him? Yeah right. He had already tried calling out for help after he had woken up, but nobody had come. He would probably die here.

A sharp hissing shook Carter from his thoughts, causing him to jump in alarm, and the wall on the other side of the room opened up, revealing a well equipt man. He seemed somewhat tense, though he was unarmed from what Carter could tell.

“Subject O Twenty-Nine, I am here to direct you to ghe Garden.” His gruff voice resounded in the small chamber. It was soft, yet somehow stern at the same time. At first Carter didn’t move. He had been sitting in the corner for so long he wasn’t sure he still had feeling in his legs. But when the man prepared to speak again Carter stood.

Clearly he had underestimated the height of this man, for when Carter finally got up all the way he had to look down toward him. “Right this way.” The guard directed, stepping off to the side so that Carter could pass him by, which he did.

The room led out into a maze of hallways. The guard stepped past Carter and began leading the way through the mysterious building. At least the scenery had changed. Now it was a nice dull gray. As they traversed the labyrinth it occured to Carter that the guard had called him subject twenty-nine; the same number that represented the name Carter on his hand. Was that his name? If so then at least he had figured out who one of those people were. It wasn’t long before they arrived at another doorway. He spoke put loud to nobody in particular, but apparently somebody was monitoring them, because the door shot open only seconds after. What lay behind was a vast garden which stood out greatly from the corridors they had just maneuvered through. It was so bright and colorful that Carter had to blink a few times to get rid of the pain in his retinas.

The guard’s arm shot out and pointed off to an opening through the decor. “Head over there, that’s where you’ll meet up with the others.” And with that, the man re-entered the building, shut the door behind him with a loud clang. Another softer banging sound signified that the door had been locked.

Carter made his way forward. Were the trees small too? He could almost reach up for some of the lower hanging fruit without even having to stretch out too much. It didn’t take long to arrive in the clearing where a small group of individuals were waiting. A group of young adults whose ages likely paralleled Carter’s, stood with a pair of older people; a man and a woman. The woman gave a gleeful wave, gesturing for Carter to join the group. The man seemed less enthusiastic about having to be there though.

The gathering seemed quiet enough save for the man and the woman giving a few instructions out. A few more teens came out from various different directions and finally the two in charge began their speech. They explained their intentions and although both seemed sincere, Carter wasn’t sure he was ready to believe them. At least no yet.

Once they had concluded their introduction, they made their way into the facility Carter (and assuredly all the other teens) had come from and left the group to mingle. Did they really just tell a party of teenagers that they were going to breed them? Did they really mean that? And what had they meant by powers? As far as Carter could tell he was perfectly normal.

A few of the others had begun to call out names, and among them was a blond girl that couldn’t have been much younger than Carter, but was very much shorter. Had she called out his name? He glanced down at the back of his hand once again. Maybe this girl was Annalies? He figured he might as well give it a shot. That was what they had been told to do anyway right? So he made his way over to her, peering down. “You’re Annalies?” He asked hoping he was right.

Myrath Lyor
Interaction: Open
Myrath drowsily woke up yawning and stretching out his arms he looked around the white room before looking back a himself. 'Not much has changed and since im guessing not at home, im still being held captive then, yep, not much has changed at all.' Myrath just continued sitting down for a little bit before excessively rubbing his eyes so that he could hopefully see a bit better or atleast become more awake. He then started to just look at the white room walls trying to figure at why he was in that room with so little decoration. Myrath started to try to remember how he got there but all he could remember was he being given to some strange people by his kidnappers. Myrath closed his eyes a bit frustrated by his lack of knowledge on what happened to him before then jumping onto his feet and stretching out his arms and legs once again.

After a moment of stretching the door then began to open as myrath then peeked at the 2 meh who entered the room both wearing the same outfit giving myrath the impression that they were most likely guards. They immediately looked at myrath before speaking "Subject 38, please come with us." Myrath looked at the both of them before instinctively following them out the door. The name they addressed him by seemed like something he knew but couldn't quite remember where from or how he knew it. As they walked Myrath started wondering if they did anything to his memories or something, he almost felt like a Amnesiac with how little he knew about what had happened to him. Myrath then noticed one of the guards looking back at him with a curious yet questioning glace , but when myrath took notice he instinctively looked forward once again having the trip turn into a really silent walk.

After a while of walking through lang corridors the guards stopped at one door that was clearly something important considering how big it was compared to the other ones. When the door opened it revealed a garden like area that some would consider beautiful but to most people but Myrath just saw it as a really big playground he didn't care for its beautify all that much he was more into how useful the area would be in having his own sorts of fun. The two guards then pointing in a direction before speaking " You will need to move to that area in order to meet the others and then you will be briefed on what you will be doing next." once the guard was finished and Myrath was lightly shoved inside the door slammed shut making the guards disappear from his view. Myrath looked at the door a bit confused before hesitantly stepping forward and moving towards the area. Myrath hating moving to a group of strangers alone it just made him feel a bit uncomfortable especially if all eyes focus on a new comer who is likely late.

When he arrived into the place the guards pointed at their was already a group of people gather around just as he suspected although the he was mostly greeted with the acknowledgement of the man and woman who ,judging by how they were the only ones that didn't look like they were teens were most likely the ones in charge. The man had a board look that told him that he just wanted to hurry up and leave while the woman looked like she was actually excited and happy to be there. After a few moments of new teens appearing left and right the two finally began to speak out to the group. What they said left myrath in shock, amusement and surprise it even showed a bit on his facial expression and left him with quite a few contemplating thought. 'So they are basically saying that have arranged us a marriage or something like that? and to top it all off we all also have some sorta powers? and we were going to be going though a few tests? oook should i be asking what strange alternate universe i was transported to or am in just some messed up book? Ugh fine whatever ill play their little game even though this is the most messed up game i have ever played.Hey maybe their just messing with us by doing this sick joke.' When he glossed over his hand he saw his name and number along with someone elses Tera Magnus 39 he paled a bit as he reliesed they were not kidding, joy. Myrath was a bit stunned on what to do next like what was he suppose to do go over to her and say hello im that person that those weirdos paired us up with wanna go out? im pretty sure thats in how to get into a awkward situation one o one class. He then glances around at the kids that are around him until he catches sight of the person he suppose is tera 'Why does everything feel so familiar yet so strange' He thought to himself. Myrath hating being put into the worlds most awkward situation and started thinking about how good of a torturer these guys were, top of their class he guessed. He didn't dare approach the girl even though he was considering it instead he started debating on what to do or say or if he should even try to approach her or just wait for her to approach him.

Derrek Mes'jack
Derrek's eyes had slowly started to open. There was white all around him. The ceiling, the walls, even the clothing that he was wearing was pure while. There were two people in the room with him when he had awoken. One of them was a guard. The other was a doctor. He was touching Derrek on his cafs. "Good morning Derrek, I was just giving you a little checkup. Tell me can you feel this?"

Derrek lifted his head. to look down at the doctor running his hands up and down his legs. "I'm sorry, but no I can't feel that." He said watching the doctor.

"Hmmmm. Alright how about here?"
He said as he moved to Derrek's knees.

Derrek shook his head. "I'm sorry doc, but I can't feel that either." He said.

"Alright, let's move up a little." He said as he started to move from his Knee to his thigh.

As the doctor was moving from the knee to the thigh Derrek started to feel the doctor's hand. "I can feel that!" He said as the doctor went over a spot about an inch from his knee.

The doctor smiled and took note. "Well, that is a good sign. It looks like your started to get feeling back in your lower body. We're going to go over some other medical processes." The doctor said as he started to check over Derrek for any other sign of nerve ending distortion.

After 30 minutes the Doctor was done with his checkup. "Alright Derrek, we're all done here. You're in fine health other then your legs. We're going to set you in a wheelchair for now." He said as the guard lifted the boy and put him in a wheelchair. After he started to wheel the boy out."I'm surprised that it's only below your legs... I thought that you'd have some problems a little higher." The guard said before dropping Derrek off with the rest of the group.

After the explanation, Derrek sat looking at the paper. He heard his name. He called out. "Yes? Hello?" He saw a girl standing there. The paper said that his match was Tessa. "Tessa?" He said as he wheeled himself over to the girl that was calling his name. " Hi there, I'm Derrek, Derrek Mes'jack." He said smiling and offering his hand out for a handshake.

Annalies ran a hand through her hair, her eyes still lazily wandering throigh the crowd. A few people looked interesting, but for the most part, she didn't know what to make of them. It was odd really, but the most worrying part about this that was really starting to sink in was that old guy explaining the breeding process. Of course she knew what it meant, and she hated the idea of being a baby factory. It was gross. Absent mindlessly, she tried to pull down a little on her shorts, when another relaxation was made.

What in the absolute hell was she dressed like this? Short-shorts, with a tight tank top and some sandals. It was, well, a recreation of what she wore outside that one night. It fit, and was light, so she couldn't complain really. Though she felt a bit exposed like this...at least they gave her a bra. Ah geez, it was kinda weird to think about that, mainly because everything else was blank. She expected though, it was just the "fashion" or whatever. Though Anna was quickly pulled out of her thoughts by a voice.

"Uh yeah," She started, turning towards whoever had spoken to her, "But call me Anna, it's-good god you're tall." Carter. This was Carter, it's had to be, he knew her name. He was a giant who had at least a good foot on her, maybe more. What the hell was this? What was his power? Why was he so tall? Why did he look nervous? Wait, was that what he looked like, or what she just actually nervous now? Her mind was going a mile a minute as all she could was look at him for a few seconds, before clearing her throat.

"I take it you're Carter then? Quite the last name you have," She said with a small chuckle, extending her hand. "Well, it's nice to meet you, I guess. Kinda weird circumstances though." At least he was cute.

Asher Keys
Interacting :: OPEN

Asher woke with her hands to her throat. She could feel the hoarseness of her voice, but didn't know where the pain came from. She tried to swallow to get some of it out, but to no avail. She didn't remember screaming recently. Come to think of it, she didn't really remember anything. She couldn't seem to grasp any of her memories, though she knew they were once there. Ash pulled her hands away from her throat and studied them. That was odd. She felt her hands on her throat, but not her throat in her hands. She pressed her right one up against the dull white wall and almost screamed. She couldn't feel the touch at all. It was the same with her left hand. She continued to test it and found she didn't have any touch up to her elbow, which terrified Asher. But, at the same time, she felt like she already knew that. It was odd.

She studied the room she was in and the clothes she was wearing. A light orange dress that matched her hair. It was a vivid contrast to the dull white of the rest of the room. In her room, there was one bed. She couldn't tell where the door was, and wouldn't be able to even if she tried to feel it out. She couldn't feel anything at the moment. At least, she hoped it was for the moment, and not something more permanent.

Ash flipped her hands over and found two names and numbers on the back. First, it was her own. Subject 28, Asher Keys. Subject? Subject? What the fuck was that supposed to mean? She guessed it would explain the room she was in, the state of her hands and forearms, and the seemingly never ending supply of burns she found around her body. Just what exactly did they do with her?

Underneath her name was something she found even more chilling. Matched // Subject 18, Henry Atwood. Another name? She didn't recognize this one. Were there other people like her here? What could the word matched mean? Or was it something more evil? Were they one in the same person? Had they been combined? Before Ash could conjure up any more horrors in her mind, she was interrupted by the door opening. She noted that it was across the room from her bed, in the middle of the wall.

"Subject 28, Asher Keys, you are to follow me." said a rough voice. The light from the hallway was almost blinding in the dim light of her room. She covered her eyes with her hand. She tried to see who the voice was coming from, but could only see a dark shape in the doorway. She got out of her bed and started to follow the man down the winding hallways, figuring she had nothing else to do, and that this might get her some answers at least. She noted that the floor was cold on her feet, and was relieved that she could feel anything at all down there.

When they finally got to their destination, the man opened the door with a key code Ash couldn't see. "Welcome to The Garden." he said, rather unexcited. As Ash stepped through, she didn't really bother to gawk. She took in the scenery and left it at that. There was lots of exotic flora she had never seen before. Plants! How exciting. She continued through The Garden and found another group of people around her age. This put a little more confidence in her, knowing that she wasn't the only one here. She listened to the man and woman of very different personalities speak, and she was disgusted with each sentence. Breeding candidates?? Whenever possible?? These people were crazy to think that she would just have a baby right then and there for them! She was pretty sure they were the cause of her burns and the numbness in her arms. The future generation? What was so special about her that made them take her, rather than any other fucking female in this god-awful world? Ash's anger was beginning to burn through her. She couldn't stand the insolence of these people. Who gave them the right to ruin her life like this. And what "amazing powers" was this woman talking about? Ash didn't even feel anything amazing. She looked her body over again, stepping her bare feet off the grass. When she lifted them, she found the grass under her feet blackened to a crisp. She yelped and jumped back. Ash reached to feel her face, but then realized how fucking pointless that motion was. Her hands wouldn't feel anything. She just hoped she wasn't on fire.

While the group was all gathered, Ash figured it would be a good as time of any to find out who the person on her hand was. "Henry... Atwood?" ( archur archur ) She called out, scanning the faces of the crowd. None of them even seemed remotely familiar to her, and yet she felt like she had known them for a very long time.

Jay Swift
Interacting : Nenma Takashi Nenma Takashi

Pacing back and forth in the pure white room, Jay found he just couldn't sit still. He'd woken a while ago, shaky and confused, and had immediately freaked out. The world was dark on his left, and dark at the edges on his right. Half blind. What had happened? Had his father really gone overboard with a beating? But no... It felt like years since he'd seen the man, for some reason. But... Jay couldn't remember any time passing. Feeling lost and jumpy, he'd started to pace back and forth, like he couldn't sit still. His whole body ached deeply, alongside the blindness, and he really needed to know what was going on. He'd called out more than once, finding the door locked, but no one had answered.

Wincing, he startled as the door opened, and a man ordered him out, calling him 'Subject 16'. Subject? Why... His name was Jay, he was sure. When had he become a Subject? Shivering, he obeyed, walking out. Anywhere was better than the cold, white room he'd found himself in, and he buried his hands in his pockets in a bid to make himself look less of a threat to the decidedly stronger looking man who led him along.

A door was opened, and he was nudged through. In the bad vision of his right eye, he saw what looked to be paradise. Trees, grass, flowers... It was beautiful. If only he had both eyes working to properly gawk at it. He only caught sight of the small crowd because he could hear a voice, and he padded quietly over, confused and worried. Why were they here? The words of the man and woman didn't exactly make him feel any better. Breeding? What even was this whole place? Looking at the back of his hand, to see if it was true, he found the matching name and frowned. Kemeno Ko. Who was that?

Glancing around, and biting his lip almost nervously, he mimicked what others were doing and called out, "Kemeno?" He asked. Even if he knew her face, which he didn't, he doubted he'd easily find her in this crowd. As it was, he was highly nervous of anyone standing too close to him when he couldn't see them.

CHIDORI
「一 千 の 鳥 は 飛んでる」

Silence. And then... something. Chidori could sense everything. The the little grains of dust on the ground... the air current... his own clothing. He opened his eyes. Everything had that appearance that Chidori immediately recognized as his vision in the dark. The ground trembled. Someone with heavy footsteps was coming. Chidori slowly got to his feet. His head felt a bit raw, as if he'd woken up from a very long, very deep sleep. Which he supposed he did. He tried to walk and stumbled. His feet felt heavy. Chidori could hear whoever was coming at this point. They fumbled with the door before carefully opening it, slowly letting more light into the white room.

"Subject 27," the person, a guard, whispered softly. "Come with me."

Subject 27?

"My name is Chidori," the boy pouted. "And you don't have to whisper."

"Sub- Chidori," the guard adjusted himself. "Follow me. It's important."

Chidori was pleased. The boy followed the man out of the room. Sunglasses prevented the hallway lights from murdering his eyes. As the two walked, Chidori took a while to examine himself. The back of his hands had writing on them. One hand read: Subject 27 || Pablo Gerardo Guadeloupe Gonzales. The writing barely even fit on his hand. The other hand read:

MATCH
Subject 42 || Lorin
The name intrigued Chidori only slightly. What intrigued Chidori more was the word MATCH above that name.

"What do these mean?" Chidori asked, shoving his hands into the guard's face.

"You'll see later," The guard replied, gently nudging his hands away. "Just focus on not tripping."

Chidori understood. A large door opened with some words spoken by the guard. It revealed something beautiful: lush greenery, fragrant flowers, uncomfortable (a normal adjective) grass. The guard nudged Chidori, and he walked forward. The whole place smelled wonderful.

"What is this place?" Chidori looked back at the guard.

"The Garden," the guard's face held a strange emotion.

The door closed. He didn't even say good-bye. Chidori took a deep breath, but only because the air was so delicious. From here, he could hear people. Two, in particular: a man and a woman, both seeming a bit on the older side. They spoke about... a program? And... breeding? What was that? Chidori was thoroughly confused, though he understood one thing. He'd be safe here. And he had powers. Excitement filled the young boy. What powers did he have? Suddenly the smell of smoke, and a shout, this time by a young woman. Was there... a fire? No, the smell of smoke wasn't strong enough. Perhaps something hot touched whoever screamed... though that didn't make sense, she would've screamed more if she was burned enough for Chidori to smell the smoke. Now, Chidori was nervous. There were names being thrown out, people looking for each other, having conversations, as if something did not just burn up. What could Chidori do? He looked back at the door. He doubted it would open for him. It would be better to just go to the voices and see what was doing on.

Chidori walked towards the voices and vibrations. Through trees, he could see many people. Suddenly, he could feel his heart pumping hard. So hard, that it kind of hurt. Sweat began to form. Was this called nervousness? Chidori slowly edged his way towards the group.

"Lo-Lorin?" he mumbled, very well assuming that someone would hear his voice or feel his footsteps.

The first thing Mika noticed when she awoke was a muffled voice speaking from some corner of her room. “Subject 31...” She had no idea what the voice was saying, but as her eyes adjusted to the lights in the room she finally noticed the Owner of the voice was actually standing very close to her bed. “Subject 31, I need you to follow me.” The voice was beginning to grow impatient with the fact that she hadn’t complied yet, that much when could tell, so Mika quickly nodded and stood.

Well, she tried to stand. She’s crumpled to the ground almost immediately after doing so, and almost as quickly she was being helped up by the man who had just been speaking to her. Why had she fallen? Was she tired? This whole situation was becoming very confusing very quickly. The man handed her a can even of sorts and proceeded to help her wobble forward. She didn’t remember ever needing a cane, and she was pretty sure that was something she should remember.

After a few minutes of hobbling around the room, the guard gestured for her to follow him. She slowly made her way out to a beautiful garden, the guard hovering close by in case she fell again. Mika hesitantly glanced around at the gorgeous greenery, wondering for a moment if this was a some kind of weird dream. Soon enough, the girl found herself in the front of a small crowd of people, staring curiously ahead at the two adults who stood before them.

Almost instinctively, Mika watched the lips of the two as they traded remarks, having given up on picking out words from the muffled conversations. Thankfully, she understood most of what the two said, even if it was rather strange. They mentioned breeding, although Mika really hoped that she had read their lips wrong on that part. They also mentioned having special powers, which was almost more believable than being forced to breed with a stranger. She had to admit, there was a strange buzzing sensation that she hadn’t noticed before. Maybe that had something to do with these special powers?

As she was trying to process all of this information, the others in the group began to mingle with each other. Being on the softer side, Mika stayed in her little corner, content to lean on her cane as she watched everyone else talk to each other in silence.

Ari blinked awake, a pale hand cast in front of her squinting eyes to shield herself from the blinding light of... were those lamps...? They looked more like... surgical lights... than anything else. Multi-faceted. Or maybe the eyes of a fly. Either way, they were certainly deja-vu inducing - a strong sensation of... something. Something she'd... seen before? The girl frowned, before closing her eyes again, trying to ignore the flashing after-images in her retinas. Where was she? Everything felt... odd... confusing... cold. Like a washed-away painting, or a stopped clock. The last thing she remembered was-

"Lorin!"

The white-haired girl sat up quickly after her exclamation - too quickly. A hand thrown out onto the ground kept her stable as her head span, her body revolting against her. A glance at her hand as the nausea faded revealed a stencilled black mark below several rows of watches - Arleni, Subject #43. Match: Mika Rose, Subject #31. The girl stared at the words, confused. The first was her - as was 'Subject #43'. But the second...? And what did 'Matched' even mean? The name wasn't... familiar... was it...? Ari bit her lip - considering, briefly, before jerking her head up once again, quickly surveying the otherwise empty harsh white room. She was alone. Where was her brother!?

Frantically, the girl shot to her feet, trying to ignore the onset of nausea once again as she half-ran towards the door - which, serendipitously, creaked open on loud hinges. Less serendipitous was the guard that caught the girl by her bare arms as she stumbled through the opening. The man looked down briefly, frowned, and released her. Soft red marks remained on the girl's arm briefly, before fading from sight, and Ari crossed her arms, noticing for the first time the chill in the air. She looked down at herself; plain white T-shirt, shorts that ended halfway up her thighs. Bare feet. The clothing felt... familiar. Strangely familiar. And that was... strange. Unusual.

"Subject 43, please follow me." The man's voice was monotone; unamused, routine, and yet... the sense of deja vu struck Ari again. She bit her lip once more, momentarily - before setting off meekly behind the guard, glancing around the corridor as she walked. It shared the harsh white aesthetic with the room- cell - she'd awoken in, bright lights spaced evenly along a ceiling. More doors lined the walls, each with a monitor showing the interior, as well as a large, stencilled number - the subject numbers, Ari knew - instinctively, somehow. Most of the cells were empty.

Eventually, the duo came to a large, circular door at the end of the hallway. The taciturn guard stood, glanced at Ari with an odd emotion behind his eyes - pity? dismay? - before tapping at a screen beside it. He motioned at Ari to proceed through it with a gesture as it slid upwards, revealing something the white-haired girl had most certainly not expected. A dozen people were milling around inside a lush, well... forest? No, that wasn't the right word, this was more... a garden. A verdant paradise of some kind - trees rising into the air, flowers everywhere below a domed ceiling - that contrasted heavily with the minimalist white corridor she'd come from. Taking a few steps forward, Ari felt the ground beneath her bare feet change abruptly from concrete to grass, the individual blades pushing up between her toes. The white-haired girl made her way slowly towards the group, noting now the noise they were making. It sounded like they were... calling names...? She scanned the faces, looking for Lorin - he had to be here, right?

Subject 35: Reis Harumiko
Interacing With: No one Currently

The guards boots squeaked against the tiled flooring loudly as they walked beside one another exchanging in minor bickering about being on this subjects shift when the call came down to escort them to the garden. "Remember no violence...cant have her all marked up for her presentation day" one man warned as the other fidgeted with his belt to locate the key card attached that would allow entrance into the white walled cell.
"I know I know, she should be barely conscious anyways"
"Lets hope so"
The first breathed as he stood just beyond the doors frame out in the hallway hidden from view once the door had been opened.
The other sighed before simultaneously opening the door as he spoke.
"Subject 35 you need to...Agh!"
The man was unable to finish his sentence as he recoiled unable to see as his vision clouded through his visage what appeared to be billowing shadows accompanied by smoke.
The guard tripped backward falling onto the floor with a resounding thud.
Reis raced out from the room as her ability which seemed to trigger almost instinctively wore off.
She stood momentarily hyperventilating before turning to run but was met by the other man who had expected this.
"No you don't!"
He yelled as he wrapped his arms around her small frame and lifted her before turning to pin her against the wall as she flailed and kicked throughout.
"Let me go, what is this?!, Help!!..Help me!!!"
"Subject 35!, calm down!, we are helping you we are taking you to the Garden!"
The man who held her firm responded her eyes darting wide in each direction desperately looking for a way out.
She had awoken head splitting and her eyes felt like they were heavy from sleep but she could recall nothing. The last thing she remembered was a gloved hand covering her mouth...the taste of the latex and smell of dust.

The other man got back to his feet and recoiled his hand backward prepared to slap her across the face.
"You insolent Bit.."
"I said No!"
The first guard ordered which stopped the man from commiting to his violent act which calmed the frightful girl. Was he really protecting her?
The first man eyes locked with her own smooth brown iris as he mouthed its okay over and over and began to gently set her down relaxing his grip around her waist and shoulder.
Reis breathed shallow and unsteady, as she looked down noticing her skin tight athletic wear practically wearing only a jet black sports bra and tights which cut off at her waist line and two inches above the ankles but she had no shoes...she was bare foot.
The guard smiled briefly before letting it die and turned grabbing a navy blue folded zip up hoodie that laid next to the doorway and handed it to her.
"Put this on...and come with us..."
Reis took the jacket reluctantly but put it on as ordered and soon was walking down the winding hallways of marked cells towards The Garden.
Her head was throbbing but know matter how hard she tried to remember things it came back blank and with another jolt of pain in her head as she winced notably.
Upon reaching the entrance the first guard nodded his head for her to enter and a wave of different smells and sights washed over her. She gave him a second glance before starting the walk through the doorway.
The second guard stopped her with a grip on her arm. He leaned in close and began whispering.
"Just know, your not fit for this program...we know the truth your just an infertile who.."
The mans arm was yanked away by the superior guard and the door closed behind her..
What did he mean and why did he say that?
Reis did not have much time to think about it as two other cloaked individuals began speaking about the program and their abilities.
So thats what had happened?
What exactly did she do to him though?
Upon the mentioning of the names and numbers Reis followed suit looking down at her hands.
"Match...Subject 23, Otto Sig..sigur...Sigurdsson? I don't know him do I?"
She replied to herself as she looked up to see others already looking for this 'match' as if they were a guaranteed ally in this confusing situation. Reis instead stepped back her eyes resting over each and every individual briefly...Could she trust these people...was this place safe as they said..Maybe she should find this guy she was matched with...Reis closed her eyes trying to calm the headache that seemed never ceasing while she mulled over her best options in this moment.

"Ari!" He screamed. As loud as his voice would allow him. Despite the pain of it already having been raw. Despite her being only fifty feet in front of him. "Run towards me!" He positioned himself- pivoting his feet- planting them into the ground. And became solid.
He remembered the sight of his sister running. Her figure growing in front of his eyes.
He knew how she ran. They'd been running for months. They ran for years before. And so he knew she was a runner. But even though she was a runner- her run was frantic. Clumsy. And so he braced himself for her to crash into him. And they'd fall together. Into the mist...

Then his brain drew a blank. Saw blackness. Felt something under him. Like a bed made of rocks...
Then white...
He blinked twice. Letting his eyes beat out their grogginess. Opening slowly. Closing slowly.
"What were we... running from?"

Lorin shot up at the realization that he had heard his own voice. Then he creased his eyes instantly. Feeling daggers in his skull, he clutched at his hair. Hanging his head altogether. It feeling like he was rocking back and forth.
"Fuck-" he muttered. Brought his head back up- opened one eye. His vision from crisp and clear to blurry in an instant. He brought his sight downwards. Saw that he was laying atop some sort of platform. And with no hesitation, he threw his legs over the edge- feeling the ground- it sending shivers up his spine as he touched its surface.
Cold...
Lorin stood. Stuck his arms out for support. All he could see was splotches of varying whites.
"Sub-"
He jumped- A breath escaping his lips.
"-ject forty-two of the K59C project, you are to report to center garden immediately."
"...What?"
He jerked his head to his right- hearing the sound of a door-
"Come on-"
A black figure entered his view. Lorin held shot his palms out, feeling himself gasp. Then feeling a grip on his left arm.
"Ah! What the-"
"You don't wanna miss the show, do you?"
"Show? What are you talking about?!" Lorin planted his feet- but was lifted off of the ground- having to follow the figure in order to keep himself standing.
Fuck! My head still hurts! What's going on?! And where's-
"You'll see. Subject entering. Code access forty-two initiate."
Huh?!
And all of a sudden- white turned to green. And blues. And reds. And pinks. And yellows. And his vision was brought back to life. What graced him were trees towering above him. A floor of grass and cattails. Wild flowers in bloom. He heard chirping of little birds. Even felt the rush of a breeze. His hair brushing against his face. Feeling as soft as a dream. The air open and free- like he had stepped into a garden of faeries- just like mother would describe in her stories. To a T, he thought.
The only thing missing from this paradise...
Lorin's eyes were so entranced- that when he fell back to reality- his arm was free and he was in the middle of the garden. Others standing with him.
He whipped his body around.
In the doorway he had walked out of, there stood the black figure. A man in a dark uniform.
Their eyes met. And the man gave him a soldier's salute. "See ya, kid."
"Thank you!" He called out to him, laughing and waving. The man smiled before he was cut off by the door sliding shut.
"Lorin!"
His eyes lit up. He jerked his head left and right.
She's here...? She's really here?
He searched the garden for her- his eyes jumping from figure to figure. Until his eyes met a figure with long white hair standing against a white wall- the more he looked- the more he realized the white wall stretched itself around this place- and the more he looked-
A lump formed in his throat. And his vision began to blur again.
"Ari! We did it!" He screamed. Running to his sister- a wave of unease falling over him. Something feeling off about her- Like looking into a mirror and not seeing yourself- but Lorin jumped at his impulses anyway- ignoring any thought of fault to his sister-
"We found paradise!"
Lorin jumped- his body springing far further than he thought it would- ending up tackling her- and both of them falling to the ground.
He didn't care. Didn't apologize. Instead he wrapped his arms around her.
"We're gonna live! We're gonna live!"
His eyes shut as water poured down his cheeks.

It was quiet very quiet and for a moment Kemeno wondered if the forest had always been so quiet. Her eyes heavy as if refusing to let her wake up turning to her side the ground was strangely not cold like usual nor was it hard. Kemeno almost felt like she was sleeping in the sky turning her head stopped and she was unable to turn anymore. Opening her tired eyes she saw white sitting up she looked around her to find she wasn’t in the forest at all. Putting Kemeno on edge making her leap up and look around the room checking for a foe. It was so strange to Kemeno her hands and feet were touching a ground that was for sure. Yet there was no feeling the ground might as well of not been there slamming her fist into the ground there was a ting of pain in her hand. So she hadn’t lost all feeling in her body, now that she got a good look at her hand it was rather clean. A lot cleaner than usual sniffing her hand there was a pleasant scent coming from it. Licking her hand to see what the scent tasted like there was nothing not even the flavor of her skin she had been accustomed to from licking her wounds so often. Reaching her other hand to her mouth to see what was wrong something pricked her finger and she pulled away. Slowly bringing a hand to her mouth she pushed against her teeth she couldn’t feel them yet she found the way her fingers stopped was different from normal. Not to mention the tip of them were a lot sharper Kemeno was actually happy about that considering now she’d be able to kill prey more effectively.

Hearing foot steps behind her she turned seeing a man with a strange stick in his hand that on one end had some sort of half circle. As he took a step toward her she lunged only to be pinned to the ground by her neck with the man’s stick. “Easy kid don’t make me hurt you.” She understood she wouldn’t be able to fight him off her so she complied. He pointed to her and Kemeno looked down at herself to find a strange material was present on her body. Grabbing at it she worried her skin had transformed but when she pulled at it she found it was simply on top of her skin. Amazed by this strange material she began to lift up her shirt only for her hand to be smacked by the man’s stick. “Hey now save that crap for your Match.” Kemeno wondered for a moment if she could make similar sounds with her mouth if she moved it right but something inside her told her that it wasn’t possible. Instead almost like a reflex she brought her hands up and began to make signs with them. The man understood her she understood herself as well she had asked him what a match was. “You’ll find out if ya head through there.” He pointed down a hallway his the large stick Kemeno had no other choice if she wanted answers. Walking without feeling the ground under her would take some getting used to at least she still had her sense of smell. On the topic of smell Kemeno began to smell something more….familiar.

Breaking off into a sprint Kemeno came out into an opening the light shining down on her. She took in a deep breath the smell of dirt and plants filled her nose. It was a relaxing scent after the strange room flopping down onto some plants she began to roll around. Despite not being able to feel the grass or dirt on her skin she loved the very act of doing it. Plucking a leaf from a nearby plant she placed it on her tongue. Standing up from the ground she chewed on the leaf her new sharper teeth shredding the leaf in a matter of seconds. As she chewed she found it was much harder to eat spitting out the leaf. She looked up to see a group walking over the group seemed to be in the same boat as Kemeno as the two older figured explained everything Kemeno looked at the back of her hand. This was that Match the man had spoke about Jay Swift Subject 16. She looked up her mouth opening for a second but stopped hearing a name called. Her name it was her name. She had a name? Since when? Maybe the strange people here gave her a name either way she approached Jay. He didn't say a word nor seem to notice her Kemeno grabbed his sleeve. Tugging on it she stared at him closely studying him this was the man she was meant to breed with.

Tera Magnus
Tera had awoken to her arms and legs being bound and held down by Iron and Steel. Metals to keep her from breaking half the room. She looked to the guard to see him crack a smile. "Morning Princess. I was wondering when you would be waking up... You're going to be getting a reward for not bringing the dome down." He said walking over to the table and unlocking the chains. "These people are gonna be with you for a while. Might even find someone that will take care of you." The guard said leading Tera down a hall towards the dome. After a few minutes, they had arrived.

"There are some people over there. Go and say hello. Might even get to make a friend." He said walking back into the gate.

Tera looked out at the crowd of people. Her bright red hair was flowing down to her shoulders. She took a couple of steps forward towards the group. With every step, she could feel the earth moving. Vibrations from the outside world, even inside the dome. She could feel everything. She could feel the whole world contracting, moving and flowing to a single movement.

She took a few steps forward again. This time she couldn't feel as much. She could feel the area within the dome. It was different, almost like she was being blinded from the events happening outside. She looked down to see a piece of paper in her hands. It had words and numbers written on it. She could read it just fine. She walked out to the middle of the group. "Myrath Lyor. Come here. I am your match." She said stomping the ground. She could feel the earth change as she took each kick. She could feel it move and turn, as she got madder and madder that she had to wait.

The cell was a pitch white, blinding in every which way and every which direction, which was exactly their purpose: Shine their light on the captive in the middle of the floor, so that he wouldn't easily be able to slink out. The captive in question, a curled black vaguely-humanoid form, didn't notice the fact that a pair of heavy boots clomped down a cement hall, bringing the jangling of keys, or that a door had been swung open to meet him, a flood light brought in with the stocky man for safety precautions. The light had taken it's toll on the featureless thing in the middle of the floor who lay there shivering, and when the guard shone his light over it, a sizzling could be heard before a little whimper left the pitiful creature.

"Subject 18, I am to escort you to the garden centre, effective immediately." He barked, wasting no time to jab at the slippery thing with his umbrella, coercing it to rise with each successive poke. The subject hesitated for only a moment as it found it's "feet", simply standing in place before the guard flicked the powerful hand held light back at him, causing another wave of black mist to painfully sear off it. Without any further hesitation, the two marched in unison, passing door after door, strange places that seemed familiar, somehow, but without any real reason to be placed as such. Within little to no time, the two were met with a heavyset door, the guard taking no time to spit a practised answer to the waiting door. "Code access 18 initiate. Subject entering." The guard thrust his umbrella at the figure, who cautiously plucked it from the unwavering hand of the stern faced man, who hadn't even broken eye contact, as if counting every extra second he would have to interact with subject 18.

Henry, Subject 18, without a second thought, let the umbrella unfurl as he exited the safety of the fluorescent hallways into the direct rays of the combusting radiation engine overhead. The shadow cast by the umbrella was all he would need to survive the danger of the light outdoors, he had hoped, but he had a sense of trust in the somewhat faded black shield he pointed up to the sun. A barrage of color had assaulted the eyes of the creature, vibrant green trees swayed overhead while their blossoming cousins sprouted every this way and that, in every which color under the sun had burgeoned in every shape and size. Creatures darted from between trees whose bark was similar to the scales of a fish, to another whose very bark peeled off in great cascading segments, strips of the very hide of the tree peeling off from the most gentle touch of the slight breeze. A flower reached out to him slowly, a small orange bulb that extended out to the silhouette. He reached out a finger to it, the flower quickly taking it's chance to grasp at his lone finger. He could feel something attempt to scrape through his finger, but find no purchase. Quickly retracting his finger, the flower followed forlornly, a glowing white fluid dripping from it's petals. He took no heed of any more of the strange flora, and took greater care not to touch anything else here.

The introductory speech was a little... Unsettling to him. Breeding candidates? That reminded him too much of cattle, and despite the woman's musings, it kept nagging at the back of his head. He wondered what that meant for him, he doubted that he would have one of those partners when he couldn't even keep corporeal enough for himself, thanks to these fantastical 'powers' that he had. He felt a tug on his wrist, and he held his hand up to his face, lines of white glowing text appearing on the back of his hand. How did that get there? Subject 18 // Henry Atwood. Of course, it reaffirmed his place here, and underneath his name, another line of text. Matched// Subject 28 Asher Keys. He felt so, so bad for her. He supposed to himself that he would have to warn his match to just stay away from him, he wasn't going to be 'breeding' anyone.

His form rippled at the thought, before reminding himself that he had to meet somebody. All of these faces he was standing with then started to call out their matches or their friends, and amidst the confusion, he heard his own name. Head snapping all around, he started at the voice.
"Henry... Atwood?" He approached a woman in a dress, standing some distance away, before showing her the back of his hand, his glowing name just above hers. He bowed his head, and extended a formless limb wordlessly to her, just under the shade of his umbrella, the cold shadow peeling off his smoothly sculpted hand.

Ari frowned as she heard somebody call her brother's name, glancing towards the group of people a little distance away. It had been one of them, right? But- Why would anyone call for him? Was he even here? Could it be someone else, or could she have misheard?

Ari turned as a shout rang out across the garden, above the mingled other calls of the dozen or so others milling about. Her face shifted from it's neutral expression to one of elation as the gears in her mind clicked, gasping as recognised the boy sprinting towards her as surely as if recognising herself in a reflection. Something nagged at the back of the girl's mind, but she dismissed it instantly - her brother was safe! Alive! She wanted to laugh - to cry - to scream. Or all of the above.

"Lorin!" The girl yelled at the top of her lungs, usual inhibitions pushed aside as overwhelming relief filled her. Her brother was unmistakable, white shock of hair and red tattoo over one eye looking the same as always. She held out her arms, and fell beneath the boy as he jumped, tackling her to the ground and wrapping his arms around her. She returned the gesture, the pain locked far at the back of her mind as she bathed in the moment, holding her brother tight without a care in her mind for anything else.

"I... I can't... believe it..." The girl sniffed into her twin's shoulder, holding him close. Questions and worries poked at the back of her mind - the part of her that was always looking, always watching. A learned instinct, from years of running, hiding - but she ignored it, simply content for now to stay like this, not caring what any of the group might think of her or of Lorin. Everything would be okay. Everything had to be okay, if they were together - there was nothing they couldn't get through.

Casting her mind back, Ari couldn't remember a time they hadn't been together. Since birth, they'd been... well, inseperable was a cliche, but... the white-haired girl couldn't remember a time when her brother hadn't protected her, or when they hadn't been there for eachother. Only now did the girl allow herself to start shaking, letting the deep-seated fear inside out. It felt like it had been years since she'd last seen her brother - but it could only have been what... a day, an hour or two, at the most? Nonetheless, some part of her, deep down, had been scared - terrified - at the prospect of never seeing her twin again.

Otto Sigurdsson
Location: The Garden, time unknown.
Mood: Drowsy and disjointed.

.
The young man jolted from his slumber into an upright position, glancing around at his surroundings for a brief second before composing himself. The blinding whiteness of the room offended his eyes for a few moments and given the nature of his eyes and the fact they were so prone to being disturbed, he had to make sure every precaution was employed to prevent damage to them. However, that was him being over-dramatic and sensationalising everything as per usual, so much so that a nervous smile split open the young man's face. Imagining the disturbed look that would no doubt manoeuvre its way onto a strangers face should they look upon him, Otto quickly dissolved the grin moulding his face before a giggle escaped his mouth. Feeling a twinge of pain dart through his eyes, the young man instinctively reached for the eye drops that were placed on the ground to the side of his bed. Squeezing the familiar and ever-soothing drops onto his eyeballs, blinking in the case of each eye, Otto launched himself from his bed into a standing position. He found the clothing that he was currently robed in quite comfortable and simple to move in. For some, though he couldn't place the metaphorical finger on it, he was fond of uniforms. Maybe it had something to do with his past though for the young man, the only route was the one in front of you though maybe someday he might remember more as to his past. But what he did know for certain, was that the man that came here and the man that stands here are now too completely different people. The experiments that were conducted on him here changed him irrevocably, granting him exceptional ocular powers that increases Otto attributes, such as speed, strength or perception, depending on the eye used.

Before the young man could continue contemplating the intricacies of his abilities, a pensive hand causally scratching his chin, the door to his cell was slammed open and two burly, what appeared to be security stepped through the frame of it and entered the room. "Subject 23, please accompany us, we have something of the utmost importance that acquires your attention." Otto was taken aback the politeness and even in the case of one of them, their joviality. Maybe they knew something of Otto's character that they resonated with or at least he possessed certain qualities that made him easy to approach. Not that he could complain really, he was also smiling. "Okay gentleman, show me the way!" Otto replied with a chuckle as the men made their way into the corridor. The young man followed but his mind was wondering as to what the purpose of their visit was. As they were walking along, one of the men chimed up, saying, "So, you can perceive when people are going to hit you? How does that work?" Even though it didn't seem like neither the time nor the place, Otto always felt inclined to give a demonstration of his abilities. Closing his right eye, he leaves the left one open wherein the pupils contract to the size of a dot. The guards were slightly taken aback by the sheer intensity Otto exuded but after being slightly prompted by the latter, they charged at him. The young man easily weaved through their attacks, shimmers of their next actions appearing as they readied their strikes. Having had enough fun evading, the young man opened his other eye as the guards looked on in confusion. One of them aimed for an uppercut, only for Otto to counter into a vertical anaconda vice, grabbing the man's forearm and pulling it one direction while lodging his elbow in the man's elbow. Then when his opponent was was caught off guard, Otto knocked him to the ground with a vicious enzuigiri to the other side of his head, knocking him to the ground. Looking to his companion, the other guard shrugged and resigned to ending the mini-skirmish as they both helped the beaten-down guard to his feet.

After they had all regained their stamina, the two guards led him to a circular and whereupon it opened, a garden unfurled before his eyes. There were other similarly-aged people here; just as he was about to say hello to everybody that he possibly could have, a voice that he was previously ignoring caught his attention by mere mention of his name. "Subject No.23 Otto Sigurdsson; Match, No. 35 Reis Harumiko." Match? Otto thought to himself briefly, trying to decipher the meaning behind the statement, what do they mean by match? Turning back to his security guard friends, he questioned them as to what was meant by 'match', saying, "Uh, hey fellas, I was just wondering what in the name of Charlemagne they mean by match?" The two security guards looked at each other, smiled and then burst out laughing before both of them placed a respective hand on Otto's shoulders. "Babies," they said in unison, almost comedically so, "Lots of them, enjoy yourself kiddo." With that, the two men left the way the came, Otto was perplexed but not entirely taken aback. Using his left eyes ability, he sifted through the mass of people for anyone who would happen to mention his name and bingo, the young man had a winner. The lady, Reis, was a bit shorter than himself but possessed a steely, cold demeanour. She had onyx black hair and striking cerulean blue eyes, she was indeed quite a gorgeous lady. Making his way over to her, a smile erupted onto his face as he loomed over the lady. "Hello miss, my name is Otto Sigurdsson," he said deactivating his power, grabbing and shaking her hand and winking all in one motion, "Let's make lots of babies okay?"

Subject 35: Reis Harumiko
Interacting With: Otto Sigurdsson
Reis reopened her eyes as someones footfalls came towards her at a brisk pace. The male that now stood before her had hair dark as a ravens feathers matching similar to her own. His smile was warm but unnerved her slightly at his...forwardness in this situation.
He was tall much taller than her and his body was cut like that of rock sculpted from a crashing rivers relentless torrent.
He looked like a fighter...but at the introduction of his hand being outstretched she recoiled momentarily and her eyes widened at the nonchalant approach of what they were expected to do. The guards earlier comment passed through her thoughts once more only adding to the awkward silence that followed as she had yet to take his hand.
Quickly she shifted her serene ocean like visage around to others briefly before angling and resting her gaze on his own.
A few more moments that felt like they dragged on for an eternity ensued as if the careful determination of what words to choose spun within her mind, a strand of thread slowly unwinding to find the best answer....
Finally Reis spoke.
"....No reason for formalities...Just call me Reis..and.."
The female paused as her hands slowly encircled his own offered one her skin gently caressing his firm hands as she brought the palm towards her chest practically cradling it to her.
"If....if that is what you want...then i will do my best...Otto, take good care of me..okay?"
Reis finished her tone relaxing and her features warming as she kept her attentions on him but still she made sure to know what was happening around them. She released his hands upon answering him using the same ending to her question as he had to show a semblance of similarity.
Reis still appeared guarded but not as much as she had been earlier now that she would hopefully be able to trust as an ally...even with such a steep price to pay for it..

CHIDORI
「一 千 の 鳥 は 飛んでる」

Nobody answered. Unsure of what to do, Chidori stood there, like a lost child. More people entered, seeming just as confused as Chidori was currently. And yet, they looked for their matches, as if everything happening was ordinary. Perhaps it really was ordinary.

"ARI-"

Imagine plugging in earphones and pressing play on your music, and getting your ears blown out because your volume was a max and you never turned it down. Now imagine that you couldn't turn the volume down or take your earphones out. That was what Chidori, at that moment, experienced. It felt like his eardrums were repeatedly stabbed by knives. The boy covered his ears, to very little effect. He turned towards the screaming to see two white haired kids hugging and crying. Were they siblings? They looked like it. Surely their screaming was hurting everyone else? Chidori looked around, but found that nobody gave much care.

In that moment, Chidori realized: his sense of hearing wasn't normal. This was his power. The power to hear things. And it hurt. In an effort to get away, Chidori ran in the opposite direction, unable to focus on anything other than the pain in his ears. The boy looked up momentarily and- someone stood right in front of him. Chidori immediately let out a surprised breath of air and stopped. He looked up to see a very tall man. But that didn't matter, because Chidori's ears were still ringing.

"I-I'm sorry!" he screamed.

Or rather, he spoke at a normal volume.

Myrath Lyor
Interacting with: Tera Magnus - Dak Dak

Myrath was a bit startled by her commanding and forceful voice it was like he was being held captive all over again.
The only thing missing is the abuse and once that is added it should be just like his normal life. Myrath was about to take a step forward until a spike the size of her came from they ground he started to have secound thoughts about approaching her but he was too use to following orders that were given and he did not want to be punished for keeping her waiting. He saw that those 2 captive leaders were not joking about them having powers, Myrath then thought that maybe it was time he tried out his own powers. He then altered the gravity around him to make himself extremely lightweight and within a few seconds was already gracefully stopping 3 feet right in front of her. She seemed to be about 4 inches taller than him and looked to be around his age although he myrath sure didn't look like her age, he knew that he was pretty close to her age atleast. He also considered her a bit intimidating mainly due to her little display and since he was matched with her he knew that he would most likely be forced to spend a lot of time with her so myrath guessed it would be best to do whatever she says and maybe get on her good side.

"Uhhh, yeah that would be me, im guessing your Tera Magnus." He said that with a nervous smile on face and a little hint of fear in his voice. He knew that he had nothing to use as a weapon since all that was around him was trees and grass and a few people and his powers wont work on anything nearby him except himself. So that means getting into a fight with anyone would just end up in him getting hurt, so Myrath decided to keep himself light as a feather just in case if anything bad happened he could always try jumping 20 feet into the air to avoid her wrath. Myrath knew that this girl could be way worse than his kidnappers or even his parent, especially since she has powers that could probably hurt or flatten him. Myrath started thinking about all the different things that she could do to hurt him and started hoping that she wasn't gonna be using him as a rag doll all day after all that would really be a step down in his luck. Myrath knew that being cooperative would most likely be his only hope of surviving, he started to consider if she would actually start to become nicer to people she knew better with time maybe, Myrath hoped that would be the case considering he didn't want to be yelled at for as long as hes with her. He then thought that it would be best to just trust her since he is gonna be with her for as long as he is here. As these thoughts began to rush his mind his initial nervousness slowly started to show less on the outside as he tried to look as pleasing to her as possible without making it look like he was trying too hard of course. But his black jogging suit looking outfit may not of or may have not put up much of a impression but he liked jogging suits cause you can move in them and he loves hoddies and usually always wore one.

Jay Swift
Interacting: Nenma Takashi Nenma Takashi

Jay startled rather violently when he felt someone tug on his sleeve. He may have noticed her, had he been able to see her. Unfortunately, she’d approached him on his completely blind side, and so he’d never seen her approaching. So he’d startled, turning his head almost fast enough to give him whiplash. He blinked at her, focusing on her with his better eye, and gave her a tense smile as he finally realised why she’d be tugging on his sleeve. This must be his match. Well... she was cute, but he’d feel a lot better about this whole thing if they got to actually get to know each other first and choose their own matches. Still, they’d have to deal with it.

“Kemeno?” He asked, tilting his head, “H-Hey. I’m Jay.” He told her, “You okay?” He asked, immediately wanting to check. After all, he’d woken up half blind, unable to remember what happened, so he wanted to make sure she was okay also. He shuffled on his feet, as if unable to stand still. He still felt too energetic, like he wanted to run away, but stayed as still as he could, despite shuffling around. His fingers twitched on his leg, almost anxiously, and his good eye glanced around at everyone else before settling back on his Match.

Otto was always one for being forward in social situations, it was an intrinsic aspect of his characteristic to be somewhat over the top initially during first interactions. Maybe he felt himself goaded on by the two security guards that brought him to the Garden in the first place, maybe he was happy to just a somewhat friendly face for the first time in a while. It was a characteristic that he sometimes cursed, other times lauded but usually it tended to meet in the middle. So needless to say, when somebody takes the initiative in furthering the conversation, it confounds him to a great degree. Though she shook his hand, which Otto expected the only thing to occur by their meeting, she encircled one of his hands, cupping it and bringing to close to her chest as though she were cradling it. The young man flared up at the unexpected gesture, thoroughly surprised by the warmth of the gesture from Reis, given that she looked somewhat cold and distant prior to Otto approaching her. Having let go of his hand, Otto put a slight bit of distance between himself and Reis not due to any revulsion or to any great shock but for the young lady's safety since if the young man were to blush anymore he feared that Reis would melt at the touch. As the scarlet that pitched itself across his face began to subside, Otto looked back in Reis' direction having calmed down and taken a deep breath. Though still somewhat looming over her, his characteristically mischievous grin ensconced itself across his face once again though with a twinge of apology wired in there somewhere. "I'm sorry about that mi-, I mean Reis," he apologised, his grin drooping slightly as he continued, "That wasn't the most appropriate thing to say to a lady upon meeting them for the first time. I tend to get carried at first interactions so please forgive me. But don't worry miss, I'll look after ya, just let me know if you need anything and I'll be right there!" The young man gave out a hearty chuckle before crossing his arms and looking down upon Reis with friendly affection.

That was until Otto heard a meek apology from somebody nearby; the young man glanced around for a brief moment, confounded as he was to the origin of the statement, looking downwards with slight annoyance. It was only then that he noticed the girl even smaller then Reis standing behind him. She possessed flowing white hair that descended all the way down to her shoulders, dark-brown orbs floating amidst the white sea of her sclera. Though tiny compared to himself, she did seem to possess a small degree of muscle which the young man noted immediately. Otto was confused; if he was already 'matched' up with Reis, why was this other girl apologising to him. Was she apologising because she wanted to take him away from Reis? Are we all initially matched up with one other person, the young man contemplated, a pensive aura emanating all around him as he thought, and then there's a competition to see who can amass the largest harem? Keeping his thoughts for another time, he grinned at the young girl and did a hushing motion as a means to calm her down. However, she seemed to be in some distress though Otto wasn't sure what the problem was. Closing his right eye, he simultaneously activated his left eyes ability to see if there were any motions around her body that seemed to disturb in anyway though he couldn't glean anything from it. Placing a hand on her head, he smiled at her, saying, "Sorry to bother you miss but I was just wondering, are you in some distress? Are you hurting somewhere? Reis and I can get one of the staff if you're not feeling the best." Though it was initially confusing at first regarding the subject numbers and the 'matching', he realised at the end of the day there's just other ordinary people here with extraordinary abilities. And if there's people, that means Otto can talk to them and Otto can get along with them. He couldn't wait to get knowing everybody, especially Reis given the nature of their relationship. Though he remembers little before this Garden, he's still happy at the way things have panned out.

Mention-

Weird circumstances was perhaps the biggest understatement Carter had ever heard. In fact, from what he could tell it was the only one he had ever heard. “I’d say.” He agreed, reaching out to take her hand which was surprisingly cold. A little gasp of surprise escaped him but he wasn’t sure she noticed. “So you and I are matched to... what make babies?” He questioned, a weak attempt at humor.

He let go of her hand and glanced around briefly. “Well I can’t say it’s the worst place ever, though...”

He couldn’t shake the feeling of unease he was getting. It all just seemed so bizarre. So wrong. Was the whole world like this? Were there other groups of kids like them? The woman had mentioned they all had powers. But from what Carter could tell, nothing seemed out of the ordinary in his case. Unless of course his power was that he was taller than everyone. Now that he thought about it, he felt much lighter too. If he were to jump he might begin to float off. Maybe Annalies knew what kind of abilities she had been given.

“So, what exactly do they expect us to do here? Is there any kind of shelter around here that we’ll end up resting in or are we just supposed to fend for ourselves. And I doubt there’s enough fruit in here to sustain so many of us. At least not until more grow in.”
