Truth and Lies (SnowFeather, Ahoycapnbunny)

She quickly put her clothes back on. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have brought it up." She apologized, lightly touching his forearm. "I'm sorry," She repeated earnestly.

Stefan sighed and wrapped his arms around her waist, resting his head on her shoulder. "No, don't be sorry for me. I needed that. If there's anyone you should be sorry for, then I'd say it's the tree." He said, slightly chuckling as his eyes turned back to brown.

Stefan smirked. He picked her up, wrapping her legs around his waist. "Well young lady, I was told to bring you home, don't think I'd forgotten." He joked as she shifted her so he could look at her, smirking as he gazed into her too familiar eyes.

"Then I guess you'd better get to it." She smiled, gazing back into his eyes. "My boyfriend will start to worry." She joked.

Stefan almost dropped her. "Your what?" He blushed and quickened his pace, setting her up on his shoulders and starting to run. "Then we must hurry.." He joked as he rushed through the trees, appearing as a blur of light. They stopped outside of Jessie's house and out of the door walked Bonnie and Jessie's mom Annie.

"JESSIE!! GET AWAY FROM HIM!" Her mother shrieked at the sight of Stefan, who she'd met once when she was young. Stefan had been her friend, and as Stefan saw Annie, he dropped Jessie off his shoulders and sped off, leaving Jessie. Annie rushed up to her daughter and embraced her. "Please don't tell me he hurt you!" She asked, more likely screamed at her daughter.

"Mom, I'm fine!" She said, overwhelmed by the sudden commotion. "Of course he didn't hurt me, why would he?" She asked, trying to calm her.

Annie looked over at Bonnie, who glared at her sister. They walked into the house, letting Jessie stay outside or come in if she chose to. Annie turned around. "Never trust vampires Jessie..." She called to her daughter before going inside.

Stefan stood at the edge of the forest, looking straight at Jessie. He hoped she would see him, but gave up. He turned around and walked into the woods, hands in his pockets.

Jessie sighed, but stayed outside. "I haven't been to bed yet, so I'm going to assume this is a dream and that you're not really saying vampires exist. And speaking of not sleeping, I'm going to go rectify the situation. I'll call you tomorrow." She said before closing the door, and walking back to her apartment. Her mind was flooded with thoughts. First, she'd have to get more vervain for her tea. She had maybe two days worth left. Second, she needed to sleep so she could be sure this all wasn't a dream. As she walked, she thought about Stefan. She mainly focused on his eyes, and how they changed, especially when he got angry.

Stefan rushed past a tree as he came to the town. He smirked when he saw the sun going down. He sped across the street and walked past the diner from earlier that day. He sighed when he was reminded of Jessie, and then of Katherine. He saw a girl who looked a lot like them about to cross paths with him, but he was in deep thought and didn't notice. He veered left into an alley and sighed.

Jessie was out for a nightly jog around the neighborhood, when she passed the alley, seeing him. "Hey!" She said cheerfully, approaching him.

Stefan smirked as he heard her voice. "Hey Charmie." He replied, looking away from her as his eyes turned red. He was craving blood, and he really wished she hadn't come. "Y-You should really go.." He said as he made his way deeper into the alley, holding a hand to his head.

(Gtg sorry, reply asap)

Her smiled disappeared. "Oh... Uh, yeah, sure... Um, I'll catch you later, then." She said, giving him his space.

(No problem, take your time)

Stefan shook and he had to put a hand against the wall to balance himself. "Go. Now." He hissed, still not turning around in fear he'd scare her. Eventually, he knew he had no choice. He turned his head to look at her, his eyes filled with sadness. They were practically glowing red and he turned away from her, slowly stumbling further into the deep alley. "Blood..." He whispered to himself, shaking.

She was taken aback, but she wanted to help. "Oh... I-I can help." She offered, seeing how going thirsty was affecting him.

Stefan shook his head. "No.. I won't feed from you." He protested, his voice filled with worry. "It's too dangerous.." He added, to make it sound like he really didn't care. "I just need to get back to the woods, and I'll be.. Fine." He explained, turning to look at her.

"I trust you." She said, walking towards him. "And the woods are kind of far from here..." She studied his eyes. "I just hate seeing you like this. Let me help." She requested again.

Stefan let her come closer to him, but lowered his gaze to the ground. "You shouldn't trust me.." He replied, his voice cold. He turned away from her and walked deeper, taking long strides. "Just leave, I don't want to see you get hurt. And either way, why would you ever care about what happens to me? I'm just a dead man, stuck in time.." He hissed, clenching his fist as the scent of blood enveloped him. He tried his best to shake it off.

She sighed. "Fine, then. I don't trust you. But I do trust myself... But if you really do want me to leave," She took a step away from him. "I will." She hesitated. "And I care about you because you haven't given me a reason not to. They keep telling me not to trust you, but they won't tell me why. That's not good enough for me." She stretched her hand out, wanting to touch him, but she controlled herself. She got her tiny silver pocket knife out and put a decent slit in her wrist, and she gasped from the pain, her eyes watering a bit. Blood started to flow, and she walked towards him. "Please don't let me have done this for nothing."

Stefan turned and rushed to her, starting to cover the wound with his hands. "What have you done?!" He yelled, furious. He raised his own hand to his mouth and bit down on his wrist. He pressed it to her lips and made her drink his blood, causing her wound to heal. His own did as well and he picked her up over his shoulder. "That's it, you're going home." He snapped, eyes still glowing red.

"Fine, but I'll walk! Let go of me!" She yelled, his mood influencing her own. "I bet you anyone else would have taken my stupid blood." She muttered. "But not you, Sir Noble." She said, mostly to herself.

Stefan shook her comment off his mind and continued walking He growled. "I won't take your blood because if I do, I won't be able to stop myself!" He snapped, his grip around her waist tightening slightly, but not enough to harm her.

"That was my decision to make, and now it was in vain. I knew the risk I was taking when I made it." She replied. "News flash! I don't care!" She huffed. They were at her door, and he put her down. "That goes for this, too." She sneered, getting on the tips of her toes, and giving him a quick, deep kiss. "Now go eat-drink- whatever!" She yelled before slamming her door on him.

Stefan stood there, dazed. He blinked and gazed at the shut door. He smirked. He zapped off and appeared at the diner. "Hey Marla, double shot, and make it quick!" He yelled. He was given two shots of red liquid which he immediately downed.

After he had taken some more shots he appeared in Jessie's bedroom, hearing her in the shower. He smirked and laid down on her bed, his hands behind his head.

She shut the water off, and stepped out of the shower, wrapping a towel around her torso. She brushed her hair humming a soft tune, then exited the room. When she saw him, she froze in her tracks and her eyes widened in surprise. "How long have you been here?" She asked, gathering some clothes from her dresser.
