Twizinator

One Thousand Club
Name: obvious. If they have a title, put it in quotations.

Race: angel or demon, and specify a subtype if applicable (e.g. "water demon" or "dark angel" or even something specific like "minotaur" or "kobold", both of which would be demons by the way)

Appearance: physical details, wings, eye color/shape, hair, build, gender, tails, horns, clothing, accessories, everything that someone would be able to glean just looking at the character.

Age: put effective age in parenthesis, for example "589 (30)". some races age faster or slower than others, but a generally speaking it is common to die at a ripe age of 1000+.

Homeland: One of the cities listed on the map should suffice, but if you have something more creative in mind just let me know.

Weapon: Everyone possesses a soulblade, a weapon manifested by their very spirit. They can summon and dispel it at will, and despite the name it does not have to be an edged weapon. It can be a bow, mace, staff, twin kukri, holy pistol, flaming spear, spiked gauntlets, shotgun that fires a cone of ice, et cetera.

Abilities: Magical powers, such as being able to throw fireballs or creating illusory copies of yourself. Be creative, and you can have more than one.

Weaknesses: Nobody is invincible. Your character's weaknesses can be direct counters like a fire demon's weakness to water or a softer weakness, like being vulnerable in melee combat or having a weak will thus being weak to mind effects. Please try to balance your weapon and ability strengths with sufficient weaknesses.

Personality: self-explanatory, though if you just want to put "see roleplay" to let their character show in the rp itself that's fine with me.

Background: also self-explanatory.

Etc: Anything you feel that doesn't fit above, like random talents, food preferences, aversion to felines, or even their theme song.

Name: Astrild Dawnblaze, the Angelic Prodigy

Race: Angel of Flame

Appearance: Red chain mail with golden Dawnblaze symbol, gold necklace with ruby stone, gold band ring.

Hair: Auburn

Eyes: Emerald

Skin: Pale

Wings: One pair, red fading to gold.

Age: 120 years old

Homeland: Fort Apolan

Weapon: Andarus, Bow of the Dawn. Through this weapon, Astrild can channel her fire and light artes, enhancing ordinary arrows or simply firing arrows made completely of fire or light. The bow of dawn has many solar symbols carved into it, which glow when the bow is activated.

Abilities: Fire Manipulation (can manipulate flame), Healing Glow (can cure light wounds of allies), Sight of the Goddess (foretells the future)

Weaknesses: As an archer, she can't take too many hits. Visions incapacitate her.

Personality: Light and airy among her companions, but serious and silent on the battle field. Also extremely racist towards demons, who she sees as a lower form of life that is deformed and weak. She is highly emotional but does not understand how to express these emotions.

Background: Astrild Dawnblaze is the eldest daughter of the Dawnblaze family, a family of skilled soldiers who are loyal angelic rulers of the world. The pride of her family, she wishes to become one of the Generals of Heaven one day.

Etc: Astrild secretly writes poetry. Hush hush.

Name: Mi'Kiri, the Aeshma

Race: Rage Demon

Appearance: Light brown hide tank top, dark brown hide pants, brown combat boots, tanned brown leather jacket, carved wooden choker, carved wood chain link bracelet, and wooden ring with sapphire stone.

Hair: Black, braided back into cornrows, with the cornrows tied together.

Eyes: Sapphire Blue

Skin: Basalt Gray

Wings: Black bat-like wings

Age: 250 years old

Homeland: Falmire

Weapon: Ripper, Axe of the Damned. This over-sized axe's handle is made of the skulls of dead angels, while the blade is made of reforged angelic weapons. It tends to burn with black fire when used. Mi'Kiri can sometimes channel black flame through her weapon into a beam, but this takes a lot of power and energy out of her.

Abilities: Rage (ability to ignore pain, fights until either she or her opponent is dead), Wings (Possesses bat-like wings), Unholy Blight (applied to axe to deal extra damage and cripple opponent)

Weaknesses: Once in rage, her view of friend and foe can get a bit hazy. Can be taken down from ranged since she is more of a melee fighter.

Personality: Extremely outgoing and easy to anger. Her hatred for angels is legendary among her comrades. She tends to speak her mind very bluntly.

Background: Mi’Kiri showed up at a young age in the barracks of a demon lord with no memory of who she is or where she has come from. She was also carrying a massive axe that seemed much too big for her to wield. When they tried to take away the axe to examine it, she flew into a rage and killed several lesser demon soldiers until she came to understand that they merely wished to study it. When they finally got it, it disappeared from their hands and back into hers. They decided from that day forward that no one was going to try to take that axe away from her ever again. Mi’Kiri fights for her lord and seems to just be simply waiting to see if anything betters comes along for her to kill.

Etc: She will kill for chocolate. Don't test her on that.

Nava Alustar, the Angelic Experiment

Race: Angel?

Appearance: Black robes (neckline split down to waist, tied just below the bottom of neckline), Black bandeau, Black Leather Pants, Onyx necklace.

Hair: Golden blond with black streaks

Eyes: Always changing with her mood

Skin: Ivory with swirling multi-colored marks that represent different bloodlines

Wings: Two pairs, red and black

Age: 500 years old

Homeland: ?

Weapon: Mishtai, Blades of Madness. These twisted scimitars are a reflection of the twisted state of Nava's psyche. The scimitars themselves are icy white and the blood of foes never stains its blade. If she wishes to, she may channel a massive psychic scream through an area than stun beings at the very core of their being.

Abilities: Rage Blade (her angry insanity leaks into the blade to inflict one more damage), Shadow Needles (creates a wall of needles to throw at an opponent), Bloodline Intensity (gains powers from different bloodlines)

Weaknesses: If she uses more than two bloodlines at a time, she seriously endangers herself with permanent damage. The farther into her insanity she goes, the longer it takes for her to recover from fights.

Personality: Withdrawn and distrusting of all life forms. Extremely erratic in battle.

Background: Nava never knew her parents because she was taken away by the doctors who delivered her, saying her powers were dangerous. Why they actually took her away were the swirling marks that showed her blood line. An ambitious angelic scientist began testing on her and found that her cellular structure changed when exposed to different bloodlines. He obtained strands of many of the major family bloodlines, angels and demons alike, and exposed her to all of them at the same time. The different bloodlines were not compatible together in her body and she slowly began to lose her sanity as the urges and emotions of the different lines hit her. But while this was going on, she climbed to the rank of the Second General of Heaven. One night, she killed a subordinate while inside of her insanity and ran away. That was ten years ago. No one has seen her since. But rumors tell that anyone that goes near a certain volcano in the Wastelands never returns again....

Name: Sanz Vurrein

Race: Half wind-angel, half fire-demon

Appearance: Has heterochromia, one eye is a deep emerald while the other is blood red. Hair is a dark, almost reddish blonde, grown out and tied back into a long braid that reaches past his waist. He has one pair of feathered wings, but the feathers are a mottled mixture of jet black feather and white feathers that have a touch of emerald to them. Sanz also has a black tail, complete with a very thin layer of fur and a blunt, larger end. There is also a very prominent birthmark, though it looks more like a tattoo. This is a flowing, black tattoo that at times is flowing like a smooth river, and other times jagged like angry lightning. This starts from just to the left of his left eye, and flows all the way down the left side of his torso, ending at his thigh. Sanz usually wears simple leather pants, and prefers to go around barefoot. He wears a dull green overcoat, with two holes for his wings. The front is left open, as he prefers to feel the wind on his chest. Sanz has enough muscle to see that he isn't a slouch, but his real strength lies with magic, not blades.

Age: 170 (early twenties)

Homeland: Outskirts of Vidicorum. While his mother hails from the city, Sanz's father is a demon. This fact is hidden from the majority of the continent, though most of the city knows. They will tolerate his mother's presence, but his father is not welcome. They have a home carved out of a tree roughly a day's walk from the outskirts of the city. Flying, one can reach it in about an hour or two.

Weapon: Dragon's Breath. This blade holds the form of a red dragon wing partially folded up. The result is a heavy blade on the front, with it widely tapered to be something like a falchion. The sword seems to roar as it is swung through the air. While the blade serves as a conduit for Sanz's magic, it also has the added benefit of sonic power. When swung with force, it releases a roar powered by Sanz's very soul, often so powerful that others don't realize exactly what has hit them, but they end up off-balance and don't realize it is their very being that has been damaged. Of course, this takes a lot of power out of Sanz. He prefers to merely use it as a magic conduit for flame and wind, or not use it at all.

Abilities:

-Fire magic: Sanz can produce and manipulate flames. These can range in intensity from pleasant heat, all the way to roaring flames that take the form of a dragon's head. This is his most offensive magic, but he doesn't use it unless he seriously wants to hurt someone.

-Wind magic: Sanz has command of the winds on a very personal level. This is his preferred magic, allowing him to buffer and disable opponents rather than merely burn them into oblivion. He can also accelerate to incredible speeds by bending the winds to his will in combination with his usual flying

-Sensory: Between his command of the winds and his familiarity with both demon and angel powers, Sanz has an amazing ability to locate and identify both magic happenings and individuals by sensing. If he pushes himself, he can create a bubble of roughly a mile in radius, then pinpoint all magic signals in that area. The downside is that he forgoes all mortal senses when doing so.

-Combo force: By fanning his flames with his winds, and other combinations, Sanz can make devastating blazes and explosions with his magic. He can . . . but he doesn't.

Weaknesses:

-Magic over might: Sanz has been trained by his father in close combat, so he isn't completely helpless, but he has put the majority of his focus on learning magic. As a result, he has extremely powerful magic proficiency, but his body isn't as physically strong as his demon father's heritage would suggest. Even his blade is more of a magic conduit than anything else, and it is easy for him to be overwhelmed by a skilled opponent.

-I have no wish to fight: Sanz does not enjoy fighting. It is a means to an end, not a pastime to take part in for fun. Even though he has the magic power to fight on equal terms with several angels and demons, he almost always holds back, preferring to subvert his opponents rather than crush them. This has been taken advantage of by others in the past.

-Mixed heritage: As the son of an angel and demon, Sanz is accepted by neither. This leads to . . . strained relations at the very least.

Personality: Sanz is quite polite and friendly to everyone he meets, almost comically so given how he is usually treated. He is also very quick to forgive. The only time he gets angry is when others give up on themselves. Having had very few people to rely on, others giving up on themselves is a surefire way to incite his wrath. He is also extremely protective of his family, which includes those closest to him as well as his blood relations (no one besides blood currently).

Background: Sanz's parents are without a doubt the oddest couple to come about in recent memory. His mother, Faora, tended the gardens in Vidicorum, while his father was one of the most powerful generals in the demon armies. Powerful as he was, Haelstrom could not avoid capture by angelic forces. He was imprisoned and questioned, to which he remained mute. It was at this time the two met. Faora was charged with bringing sustenance to the important prisoner, as the garden she tended was near the building they utilized as a holding cell. The two started to talk, and over the period of many months, learned just how many misconceptions they had about the other. Haelstrom, while a talented warrior, also enjoyed the smell of fresh flowers outside his cell, and would even sing in a deep baritone voice. Faora, a tender of the gardens, still had a great mastery of wind magic. After nearly six months, the guards found Haelstrom's cell empty. Faora was put to trial, but they found no evidence that she had released the man, only that she may have been careless, for which she was punished. Not a month after, she left the city. A day's walk from Vidicorum, the two forged a large tree into a home, and it is here that Sanz was born. He grew up to be accepting of both his parents, and does not understand the desire of either species to destroy the other. He has grown tired of everyone being so prone for war, and seeks for a way to reconcile the two species.

Extra:

-Sanz is fond of spicy food. Really spicy. To the point where it actually is considered inedible by others.

-Sanz has traveled to all of the major angelic cities, with the exception of the fort near the wastelands. Most he never stayed at for even a whole day, for fear of being drawn and quartered.

-Theme song: "Forever"-blessed by a broken heart

-War (What is is good for?)

Y'all mothaf***as be trollin' mah quiz > :|

Otherwise looks alright so far, I'll discuss privately whether buffs/nerfs/tweaks are needed. Two people down, three to go!

Dystopics

Race: Demon...something

Appearance: Tall, 6'6" at least, Wearing an all black longcoat made of some kind of leather. Wears a Peculiar top hat.

Hair: a Pale Seafoam, left long, and seems to float when not held down

Eyes: Caribbean Water Blue

Skin: Bone White

Wings: One pair of...Wings. The ritual burned all the flesh from his wings, leaving only bone. Held together by the forcefully imbued shadow powers, it makes for a rather gruesome sight, which is why they usually remain under his coat, held flush against his body.

Homeland: A small, coastal village of water demons, De'akid was locked in bitter rivalry with a neighboring village of Shadow demons.

Age: 1527.193 years (~300(maybe))

Weapon: Shadow Talon (same as before, a kerambit with incredible slicing potential, can't cut metaphysical)

Powers: Dystopics possesses a great power and control of both water and shadow elements, though he tends to only use one at a time each century, alternating to keep things interesting.

Weaknesses: Can be emotionally unstable. Has very limited ranged potential.

Extras: His top hat has a limited capacity to become a portal to a destination of his choosing. Once a day, he may make a trip through the hat and back to a destination either he, or a companion, had previously been to.

Is 'slightly' bitter about relationships.

BIO: Born to a family of Water demons, his family was pleased with the omens of his birth. But everything changed when the shadow village attacked. Only a year old, Dystopics was taken from the slaughtered remains of his family, to the shadow village. The Shaman of Shadow Demons was preparing a ritual to bring power back into the weakening blood. Beginning a chant which would last 3 days, power and darkness began to gather at the center, surrounding the water-demon infant. On the third day, nearly all the shadow demons were exhausted, but proud. Power was soon to be restored to them, when a contingent of Demon Soldiers arrived. Apparently a water demon had escaped the slaughter of her village, and made it to an outpost of the demon government. The Interruption was catastrophic. Siphoning all the power that had been gathered, and all the power gathered in the shadow demons, it was all concentrated within the small child's body.

Taken from the ruins of the village, he would live with his aunt, the survivor of the village, living in the capital helping her run a bar. Until the day she was murdered. Nephalem rebels, people against the current regime, stormed in, and looted the small bar, taking everything of value. When Cestaria, his aunt, confronted them, trying to protect what she had built with Dystopics, she was cut down. In the first outburst of power since the ritual, the bodies of the rebels were torn to shreds. Fleeing, he would spend centuries traveling, across both demon and angel lands.

Dystopics, the mystery demon himself, had shocked the demon kingdom when after a thousand years of fighting, exploring, and learning, he started a tavern. Using his limited political clout, he had the tavern serve a second purpose, giving those in need a place to get back on their feet. After a century or so, he felt the pangs of wanderlust, and set off again. He rather enjoyed hearing stories of the Mad Demon, the Immortal Monster, and the Guiding Spirit, since they were, after all, stories about himself.

Guys, I'd appreciate it if you add the effective age of your character in parenthesis. That's basically their age in human terms, to help give a point of reference for their body's age as well as their mental age. For example, a race that lives a rediculously long time and grows extremely slowly could have "Age: 9001 (8)", showing that while they've lived a long-ass time their body and mind are equivalent to a very young child. Thus, Dystopics' effective age of ~300 doesn't make any sense.

Name: Vulcan

Race: Fire Angel

Appearance:

Vulcan is tall, broad shouldered, and muscled without being burly he almost has a leonine quality to him. He has strong features, definitely not pretty but honest if rough (nose has been broken several times, has a scar here and there.) His eyes are calm and calculating, he wears his hair in a short practical cut, and his wings are muscled and strong. His eyes are a deep amber flecked with gold and his hair is a few shades darker. His wings are the same color and fade to gold at the tips of his feathers. He's usually seen in his armor (blued steel with Scarlet trim), but dresses casually when off duty.

Age: 250 (mid twenties)

Homeland: OZ

Abilities: Flame Manipulation- can create and control fire, Swordsman- Vulcan is one of the deadliest angels with a blade in the military,

Aura of Fervor- Vulcan has a natural aura around him that reflects the fervor, devotion, and sheer will of his heart and inspires others around him giving them courage. Aura of rage- most of the time Vulcan's aura reflects his own fervor and force of will. but when something truly enrages him his aura changes. waves of pure rage pour off of him inspiring terror in anyone around him.

Weapon: Vulcan's sword Incendium is a long blade of solid flame and is infused with his passion and will. The blade looks like its formed from one solid piece of light red colored metal. The handle looks like a diving falcon who's wings stretch back to form the full length of the blade. The blade enhances Vulcan's power over fire and can absorb flames to make it more powerful and is hot enough to cut through solid steel. The blade also serves as a beacon for his aura making it stronger and larger as well as giving it the ability to push back mind altering affects making himself almost immune to them and giving his allies a boost to their resistance against them. when Vulcan is enraged the feathers on the wings of the sword extend making the sword serrated.

Weaknesses: Has trouble dealing with water related powers, he can hold his own but its extremely difficult for him. He is mostly a melee fighter so ranged attacks can be problematic.

Background: No one really knows where Vulcan came from and he does't ever talk about it. What people do know is that he is one of the most talented officers of his generation, not for his tactical skills, but for his ability to lead. After his training Vulcan was stationed far to the north in Polaris. A Jotun attack on the town killed half of his regiment and he was forced to take command. The Jotun outnumbered Vulcan's small unit two to one but there lines never broke. Vulcan was on the front lines the entire time his skill with the blade and the aura of fervor and hope around him bringing out the courage in his men, making them truly believe that they could win. The Jotun were routed and Vulcan was given command of the men he lead to victory. Since then he has been protecting the northern provinces with his small regiment of men and not once have they're lines broken. Recently however he's been called back to OZ by the Generals for some unknown reason.

Personality:

Vulcan is an honest, calm, and practical man with a good sense of humor. He can be blunt, stern, and he doesn't tolerate fools. For all of that though he is a fair, strong, and compassionate leader as well as a fierce fighter on the battlefield. Though he can be serious he loves to join his men in their revelries and has gotten himself into trouble more than once.

Extra:

Has a love of good Liqueur

Women usually get him in trouble

He is scared shitless of Kuratz

Name: Makos, Son of Makaidos (Sanguis Spillero).

Gender: Male

Race: Dragon Demon

Appearance: Wears black fluted armor over most of body and his leather wings, but with sharpened edges along the tips and outsides of wings.

Eyes: Deep purple eyes with convex pupils.

Build: Moderately strong upper body, with lean lower body, and very strong wing muscles.

Hair: None.

Tail: One, roughly 3 feet long, ending in a twin prong, armored like his wings.

Horns: 4, two that comb back along the side of the skull, and two that do the same along the top, all pointing outwards.

Clothing, etc: Armor covered with a dark red tabard over the front and back, adorned with the symbol of the executioners, and a black cloak with a matching symbol on his back. Helmet made to fit his head that only has openings for head and eyes, and a row of teeth on the outside along the mouth area, hangs from his multi-chain belt.

Age: 703 (51)

Homeland: Azkashi, Lower Ember District

Weapon: Soulrender, Taker of Lives

The axe blades are said to steal the very life force from a being, to reinvigorate the user. When the axe fells an enemy, it can take the life from it to help repair minor wounds, and to help stave off the effects of fatigue in battle. The more foes it slays, the stronger it becomes, but if no lives are taken within a day, all the power within it dissipates, else it’s form become unstable.

Abilities: Makos possesses no magical abilities, or at least, the ones he has are weak or not used. He trained to rely on his martial prowess for any situation, both on the ground, and in the air. This training and brutal masochism allows him to wear his heavy armor and to plate his wings, but still allow him incredible flight and maneuverability. His constant training has also hardened his scales, making them much more resistant to physical abuse.

Weaknesses: Makos has to close the gap to reach his target, making it hard for him to fight ranged combatants. His scales also provide very little in the way of magical protection, save for fire, which reflect the deep red hue of said scales.

Personality: Makos is very blunt, often not holding back minor or even major details. He has never had a reason to withhold information, as most people who he knew that weren’t his family were either enemies or competition. He is also very bull-headed, and insistent that the best way to solve a problem is to go straight at it, or sometimes, through it.

Background: Makos grew up in the constant shadow of his father, who under the employ of the Maleficarum, grew in fame and privilege while leaving Makos and his mother Irsha to fend for themselves. Makos’ hatred and resentment for his father fueled his anger, and pushed him to get stronger and stronger, in hopes to usurp him. Every day he trained, he felt himself get stronger, and his scales get tougher, but so too did his heart toughen with it. By the time he was on par with his father, he has lost most of his feelings of compassion and empathy. When the time came for more executioners to be chosen, he volunteered immediately. He showed the same promise and strength that his father had in his heyday, something Makaidos had lost with age. During his induction, Makos’ father approached him, and uttered the very phrase that drove Makos to become what he is today, “Those who don't strive for power are insects to be crushed. Those striving for power are competition to be destroyed. Those with power are merely obstacles to be eliminated." And with that, Makaido’s turned and left without a trace, never to be seen or heard from again.

Etc: Does in fact lift.

Theme song:
