Fantasy Treadstone School of Odd Phenomenon and Arcane Arts (Invite only)

"Great question, Robin. You're tracking along nicely." Asa sent a warm smile toward the young student. "Decease Summoning requires the people or in some cases, animal, to be dead, obviously. When it comes to Deceased Summoning, there are a few tiers, if you will. Each 'tier' requires more strength than the previous. We can summon beings into our world in varying degrees of solidity. We can summon just a spirit, which will appear as a wispy figure, or sometimes even just a constant breeze and voice. At this level, the Summoned can speak with us, but not interact. They have no Physical form. At the next level, the Summoned is more solid and might be able to interact more with those around. A small touch here and there or picking up a light object." Asa looked about, seeing if anyone looked particularly lost. She didn't see anyone so she continued. "The final stage of Summoning is by far the hardest to achieve. At this stage, the Summoned can interact completely. They have an almost complete body. While still not being physically there, they can lift objects, move things around, and so forth." As the bell rang, Asa looked up at the clock. My, how time flies. "That will be all for today. If you have any questions, feel free to see me after class. I will be around for a while. You are dismissed. Good evening, dears. Dream well!"

Savina takes note of what is said while the professor explains the levels to summoning thr dead. Once she is done, she gathers her books and exits the classroom, she wasn't sure if she had anymore classes, but for now she thought it might be best to go and grab something to eat.

Robin closed her notebook, feeling her stomach yell at her. It was the end of the day, the last class and she supposed it was a good of time as any to grab dinner, though it was late. She sighed and wondered if she felt up to eating or if she should just sleep. She certainly felt tired.

Taylor stood up at the back of the class, making sure to be the last to leave. He gave a nod to the summoning teacher.

"Good job Miss. I know you'll take care of these students. Goodnight for now."

He left the classroom without another word, shutting the door behind him. As he walked down the hallways of his old home he took out a few of his lead marbles and began orbiting them around his frame.

What a promising group of students, and teachers

Emmett groggily awoke in his new lodgings on campus, exhaled into his hand, inhaled, and grimaced. He then remembered that he had forgotten that stick of gum. Well maybe there's a place to buy some on campus. The halls were dimly lit this early on as Emmett made his way through the puzzling layout of the school. He passed a summoning classroom and squinted at the old message that gave a class starting time. Self Defense was the last class of the day, wasn't it? Emmett rubbed his forehead and continued to explore the winding twists and turns. Perhaps he would end up running into a teacher, then he could ask for directions. Then again, if the teacher didn't see him first, maybe he could have a little fun.

Zachary walked out of his class and saw Emmett walking around aimlessly. He looked at his pocketwatch and saw that he had quite a bit of time until his morning class started so he called out to him.

"Hey boy! I didn't see you at orientation, could you spare a few moments of your time and join me in my room for a bit?"

Taylor had already made his coffee this morning and still looked tired by every definition of the word, but he always loved the student interaction he could have.

"You need a refresher on what we learned in class anyways. Get in here."

Emmett was startled by the man's words, having not noticed him first, but was delighted to have found someone. He strode over to the room and allowed the man to enter first. Once he realized that it was the Alchemy classroom, he felt a sudden sense of dread at being in the presence of the headmaster. Emmett was mischievous by nature, but he was certainly going to hold himself in high conditions with the headmaster, as it could prove to be beneficial if his grades started to slack.

"Pleased to meet you, Headmaster. I apologize for missing orientation. Sorry for missing those classes too, I overslept."

Taylor took a seat behind his desk and gestured for Emmett to sit down.

"It's alright Emmett, I currently have an industrial arts teacher that has missed orientation and the first day of school, leaving Treadstone without a master enchanter. Needless to say, I'm hiring."

Taylor took a drink of his coffee and continued.

"That's all of my worries for now though. So, how was your first day of school? What were you able to learn?"

Taylor's eyes almost sparkled with interest,

Let's see here, so far what I've learned is how to hold a piece of wood in a particular stance, courtesy of Mr. Edgy Trenchcoat."

Emmett suppressed a chuckle and felt mildly ashamed for his quip. He looked attentively at the symbols drawn around the room and a puzzled look crossed his face.

Taylor cocked an eyebrow at his student.

"Those are all transmutation circles. We'll be talking more about them in class today. Starts in thirty minutes actually. I'd love to see you there."

Taylor leaned forward with a small smile on his face.

"If you're not planning on skipping my class again of course."

Emmett mimicked the expression, "Of course not sir, in fact, I can just sit in here until it starts. I'd like a good seat next to any fine looking females if that can be arranged," Emmett said with a glimmer of mischief in his eyes.

"Sit where you like, first come first serve."

Taylor sat back in his chair and began orbiting his marbles around his hand.

"So, what are you capable of Emmett? What makes you special?"

The headmaster looked the student up and down

Emmett started beaming, he loved to boast.

"Well sir, I have some abilities in the fields of Evocation and Enchantment. I can change an objects flow of time. Say I threw a ball, I could zap it the point of impact instantly since that's a point it would reach in it's individual timeline. This of course does not affect the timeline of anything else, and I can only do it with inanimate objects. It's basically glorified teleportation of objects. As for enchantments, I dabble in runes and can spellspeak and/or focus enchantments on myself to improve my physical attributes, such as speed and strength. I'm still novice though, so it take a lot out of me to do minor things and sometimes I fail to focus correctly."

Taylor nodded as Emmett spoke following along closely.

"So, say I pull a pie out of the oven, could you cool it down for me faster? Or, say I have a wine that I want to taste like a vintage, how far could you age it? Your ability augment yourself is impressive for someone your age and I'd love to see you grow in that area. When I am able to find a master enchanter for Treadstone I'm sure you two will have some great discussion."

Taylor stood up, using his cane as his primary support.

"For now you'll have to settle with learning a little alchemy though. Class starts in five."

Emmett picked out a chair close to the front of the room and took his seat.

(Sorry about the one-liner)

Eventually more students came into the classroom, albeit a little late. Taylor put away his marbles and leaned against his desk as more and more came. When he was satisfied with the number in his class he began.

"Yesterday we went over some basic principals of alchemy and I did a demonstration on turning lead into gold. Today we will be discussing what alchemy can be used for in combat and every day use."

The teacher took to the board and began to write down a single question.

What is Alchemy used for?

The headmaster turned back to his students and gestured towards the board.

"Any ideas?"

The headmaster waited for a response, but after waiting five minutes or so his brow furrowed a bit.

"Well, you all are awfully talkative today. I'll see you all tomorrow. Do some research on this question. Class dismissed."

The headmaster went and sat behind his desk as the class emptied out.

Lyuba slides in the class a gust of wind behind her and looks at the clock before she turns and waves at the students "Hello, class I apologize for being late, so since we have a but less time today how about we just go over an application of necromancy, the original application of necomancy was divination, now what divination is, is the ability to gain insight into a question or situation using an occultic, standardized process or ritual which is also known as augury, foretelling, fortune telling, omen reading, soothsaying. I myself an very adept in divination. Does anyone have any questions?"

"It means that I can see possible futures, yes, but no future is written in stone, it can always be changed, it's more like a warning or a friendly heads up depending on the news. For example is I gave myself a reading and I received the king of swords...now for those of you whom aren't familiar with tarot arcana, the king of swords is a major arcana, symbolizing that things have gotten or will get and a bad as they possibly can be. However, this future is linked to my current situation and the course I am taking, it is a warning that if I do not make changes to my situation that things will get as bad as they possibly can get in this situation. However; I can change that future by changing the way that I approach the situation, " Lyuba explains as she answers the student's question.

"I see, very interesting" Savina wrote down what she had just heard, divination was indeed an interesting subject that might want to learn more about, perhaps she could ask Ms. Lovell more about later, that is of course after she asked Mr. Dunnings about Baba Yaga's hut, she had forgotten to ask yesterday as she originally intended.

"Well that will be all for today class, I do apologize for the late start today, but hopefully the rest of your classes will go better and you learned something good here today, you dismissed," Lyuba opens the door as the bell rings and waits for the students to leave, sitting down at her desk.

Savina gathers up her books and makes her way to her next class, she was interested to see how things would turn out today, this whole school concept was really quite helpful, interesting and...fun actually. She thought she might actually like this situation.

Gus walked into his class room and began setting up for the Phoenix simulation. "I hope I didn't overload them on their first day" He mumbles getting potions into a satchel "Room is too small, going outside better option" Gus says looking out the windows "Better space, more coverage, and hiding places." He walks over to his desk and sits down on it waiting for his students to arrive

Savina walks into class and sees the professor and walks up to him "Professor before I forget, I was meaning to ask you...would you classify Baba Yaga's hut as a building or a creature?"
