Hi there!
I'm Em,millennial filth long-time RPer looking to snag (consensually, of course) another partner or two. Not looking to replace any current partners, and if we've played together before and I lost bandwidth, feel free to message me!
The bullets below apply to me and are also what I'm looking for in a writing buddy.
Genres:
Below are just a few ideas I have rattling around in my brain. There are plenty settings, tropes, etc., I'd love to explore, so if nothing jumps out at you, don't worry, I have more! I'd also love to hear any ideas you might have.
Ideas:
DM me with your interests and a little bit about yourself, and let's get this show on the road!
I'm Em,
The bullets below apply to me and are also what I'm looking for in a writing buddy.
- 21+
- OOC friendly (I won't hit you up all day to chat, but I like to get to know my writing partners outside of the RP)
- Lazy lit-advanced (third person past tense, 3 paragraph post average-- ability to do more/less depending on scene)
- LGBTQ+ friendly (open to any pairings)
- Moderately active (I can usually post once a day, and while I don't expect this from my partner, 2-3 posts a week would be great)
- Willingness to plot, world-build, etc.
- Willingness to double/play supporting characters (doubling isn't always necessary, but I'd love for someone to be able to throw in some NPC types to keep things interesting)
- Character sheets/face claims nice but not needed (if using FC's, realistic art/photos are preferred)
Genres:
- Fantasy (high, low, medieval, modern, supernatural, eldritch, WHATEVER)
- Sci-Fi (to some extents)
- Action/Adventure
- Some horror/mystery
- Some fandoms (this is a pretty limited list, so please inquire if you're interested)
[*]Not super interested in slice of life (sorry!)

Muse A & Muse B have each been selected by an experienced magician to be brought up and trained in whatever veins of magic they see fit. The magicians aim to, when the time is right, pit A & B against each other in an age-old challenge that has, historically, been surrounded by mystery. The only thing known for certain is that at least one challenger never survives the game. A & B don't know of each other's identities or the fact that they're supposed to be opponents in the challenge. So, when they meet beforehand and actually kind of? hit it off, it undoubtedly creates issues down the line.
How will their dynamic progress as the challenge ensues? Will they try to change their fates, alter the rules of the game, take things into their own hands?

A dark magic is tainting the lands. There is finger-pointing galore, with different nations throwing blame around for the unexplained events taking place. Character A is on a quest to get to the bottom of this strange curse. Maybe it's a political move, maybe it's a redemption arc. Who knows. Regardless, they're determined to find the cause of the dark magic and to eradicate it.
Character B is also looking to the phenomenon, but for entirely different reasons. A terrible tragedy has befallen them (maybe something happened to their home, their family, or someone/something else very important to them). They think this strange magic can solve their problems, and are willing to try and harness it, no matter the cost.
Can the two overcome their conflicting interests? Will they interfere with each other's plans, find some way to accomplish both their goals, or simply die trying?

Character A has always felt a strange calling to the arcane, to the ancient and mystical. They've dedicated their life to studying old and forgotten texts, practices, and artifacts. One day, a job lands in their lap: a quest to locate ancient artifacts never heard of before. The offer comes from a strange and enigmatic person known only as "M". It seems strange, and honestly too good to be true, but unable to resist the temptation, Character A accepts.
One of M's stipulation is that Character B accompany A on this job. On the surface, B seems little more than a field guide, someone adept at navigating different lands and cultures, quick with a knife or a bullet and capable of speaking just about any language. As things progress, however, it becomes apparent that B knows a bit more than they let on. They seem to have a strange understanding of character A, and an even stranger grasp about the mysterious artifacts they're after.
Only after the first artifact is found do things start to fall into place. A begins having strange visions and exhibiting odd abilities. The artifacts, it turns out, aren't just trinkets, but keys to unlock deeply-buried powers within A. When the "transformation" is complete, B is supposed to take A to the strange employer, so A's powers can be harvested for their own gain.
Will character B have a change of heart along the way? Will they have their own, separate motivations behind this job? How will A grapple with these strange new powers and what it could mean for life as they know it?
