Okay, listen up peeps, this is semi-important. Because I am an asshole, I am going to ask for metric from now on.


Also, because the Lullaby is a science vessel, and canonically the Solar Empire officially uses metric for most things.


I don't need you to convert your previous posts or CSs, but keep it in regard from now on, especially when handling weight or volumes on scientific characters.


I'm not going to strictly enforce it or anything, but it is a guideline/request. If you feel it fits better with your character you can use miles for distances.


Also, quick little help for conversion: 1 mile ~= 1,5km ; 1lbs ~= 0,5kg; 1 gallon ~= 6 litres.


So the miles don't matter as much, but I really do prefer weights and especially volumes in metric.


Again, it's your own call for your character, but if there is a doubt about which one to use in a situation, use metric.

Also, there is the reason I think it is important to know both to an extend, so consider this an educational thing.


It might feel a bit foreign at first, especially with distances, but it has some practical use to know both.

Oh and ehm, temperature is definitely in Celsius, because in space temperature is measured in Kelvin. I am going to need it for when we do space walks and Fahrenheit to Kelvin is very very impractical.


Kelvin is Celsius -273; always. So 3 degrees kelvin is -270 degrees Celsius, and 3 degrees Celsius is 276 degrees kelvin. This is a lot easier for cold temperatures than Fahrenheit, because then you will have to use a converter.
