(Here's another multifandom rp I'm opening. So far I only got the sign up one ready.)

Just joined this site and this RP looked really interesting, but it looks like I got here at a bad time. Oh well.

If there are ever any plans to revive this, I’d be happy to join!

I feel this, lmao. I just came back from a hiatus.

On the off-chance that someday this RP gets picked up again, here’s a quick draft of my character sheet.

Name: Phoenix Wright
Nicknames/Aliases: Nick, Wright, Wrighto, Feenie, Spiky, Barbed Head, the Turnabout Terror, etc. (depending on who you ask)
Fandom: The Ace Attorney series
Affiliation: Utopia
Gender: Male
Age: 35
Race: Human
Appearance: Wright stands at a modest 5’9”, with dark blue eyes and black hair famously brushed back into spikes (which, oddly enough, are completely natural). Being a defense attorney by trade, he usually wears a professional suit and tie (typically blue and red respectively), with his gold-plated attorney’s badge proudly pinned to his lapel.
Abilities/Skills: As a lawyer, Phoenix Wright specializes in legal and judicial procedure, which in many ways carries over into his diplomatic prowess; most recently, he was a major contributor to the agreement with Singapore that gives Utopia its protected legal status. His two signature skills in the courtroom are his surprising knack for seeing problems from all kinds of different angles (a skill passed down from his mentor, Mia Fey) and a knack for fake-it-till-you-make-it bluffing; when put together, these two skills make him very easily underestimated at first until suddenly he finds a way to turn the whole situation around. He’s also personally conducted his fair share of investigations over the years on behalf of his clients, making him a skilled sleuth if and when the situation calls for it.
Wright has no powerful weapons or evident superhuman powers to speak of, but he is certainly not a pushover physically. At times he’s even displayed remarkable levels of physical resilience, including (among other things) falling from a burning bridge into a lethally rapid river current and escaping with only a really bad cold, or only getting a sprained ankle from being sent flying into a lamppost after getting hit by a car with enough force to break off the rearview mirror.
Personality: Phoenix Wright’s most defining traits are his strong sense of justice and his unwavering faith in his clients and friends. He’s even been known to risk his life in court for complete strangers simply because he cannot stand to see ANYONE being unjustly persecuted, especially those who have nobody else to stand up for them. This tendency can sometimes border on recklessness, as he doesn’t always think or plan too far ahead in the heat of the moment, but he has a knack for finding a way out of even the stickiest situations and exposing the truth in the process. One of his mentor’s favorite sayings was “the toughest of times are when lawyers force their biggest smiles”, and Wright very much takes this philosophy to heart, surviving even the most impossible of situations through sheer grit and determination.

Like so many others, Phoenix Wright somehow ended up in a strange new world surrounded by the real and the unreal alike. He never would’ve expected to be hunted down along with the rest just for LITERALLY being in the wrong place at the wrong time, and it left him in a very difficult position overall at the start. He wasn’t about to take the blatantly unjust atrocities of the Taskforce lying down, but he couldn’t in good conscience support the terrorist tactics of the Resistance either, so most of his early days in this new world were spent laying low, blending in, and secretly helping any refugees he could find along the way. Fortunately his humanity and prior experience in law made it relatively easy for him to support himself and the refugees he harbored without making too many waves.

Then the idea of finding a safe haven for the new arrivals was first introduced. To Wright, it was the perfect compromise, giving the inter-dimensional foreigners a way to live free without resorting to terrorism, while also serving as a model for the rest of the world to follow. Wright immediately arranged transportation for himself and his harbored refugees to Singapore, where his legal prowess quickly made him a valuable diplomatic asset to the fledgling Utopia. He now serves as one of the Utopia’s goodwill ambassadors, continuing its outreach to refugees in need of a safe haven from the Taskforce, while also continuing to ensure that the terrorist ideologies poisoning the Resistance have no place in the Utopia.

Name: Miles Edgeworth
Nicknames/Aliases: Chief Prosecutor Edgeworth (official title), Edgey, Edgey-poo, Worthy, Little Brother, The Demon Prosecutor (formerly)
Fandom: The Ace Attorney series
Affiliation: Ex-Resistance (currently imprisoned)
Gender: Male
Age: 35
Race: Human
Appearance: Chief Prosecutor Edgeworth stands at 5'10”, and has grey eyes and (despite his relatively young age) naturally dark grey hair. His usual attire tends to be very formal and even old-fashioned to an extent, typically consisting of a red suit with a black vest and white dress shirt underneath, as well as his signature cravat (actually a jabot) and, most recently, a pair of sleek black-rimmed glasses. His Prosecutor's Badge, which is normally kept in his pocket, was confiscated from him upon his recent capture by the Taskforce.
Abilities/Skills: As a veteran prosecutor on the same level as a District Attorney, Miles Edgeworth specializes in legal and judicial procedure, and his deductive and investigative skills are both top-notch. What Edgeworth may lack in supernatural powers or any sort of combat training, he makes up for in strategic leadership, political savvy, and sheer strength of will. Logic, however, is quite literally Edgeworth's greatest "power"; this may not seem like much of a power in theory, but in practice, Edgeworth can use surprisingly simple logic to expose hidden truths, or even to be incredibly persuasive when he needs to be. The latter has even resulted in the Taskforce having to change out his guards on a number of occasions, as quite a few guards have been known to seriously second-guess the Taskforce’s overall agenda after just one or two debates with Edgeworth.
Personality: Edgeworth's most prominent personality trait is his unrelenting pursuit of the truth, no matter how hard criminals may try to hide it. This, in turn, has resulted in a strong sense of justice on Edgeworth's part, so much so that he will not hesitate to disregard any legal protocol or status that stands in the way of the truth. He also has a surprising tendency to become a sort of father figure to those around him who need one, having lost his own father at a very young age.

It was pure circumstance, or perhaps a stroke of fate, that led Miles Edgeworth to join the Resistance. The Chief Prosecutor’s first introduction to the Taskforce’s tyranny was when he objected to a Taskforce unit arresting a poor teenaged boy. By all accounts, the boy had committed no crime other than simply not being from this world, and Edgeworth openly pointed out this fact in front of multiple bystanders who had gathered to watch the arrest. The Taskforce officials tried to counter with their usual talking points, but Edgeworth easily spotted the flaws in their logic and publicly exposed them all. By the time Edgeworth was finished speaking, enough of the crowd had sided with the boy to help him escape, and the thoroughly humiliated Taskforce unit was swiftly chased out of town. Unbeknownst to Edgeworth at the time, the boy was a Resistance sympathizer.

This one incident instantly put Edgeworth on the radar of both the Taskforce and the Resistance. The former immediately put out a warrant for his arrest upon learning that he too was of otherworldly origin, but the latter saw him as a potential asset and offered him protection in exchange for exposing the Taskforce’s tyranny as he had done before. Edgeworth agreed to the deal and essentially became a spokesperson for the Resistance, who published his scathing critiques of the Taskforce via underground broadcasts and pamphlets at every possible opportunity. Thanks in no small part to Edgeworth’s efforts, overall public opinion of the Taskforce had sharply declined for the first time since its inception.

That all changed when Edgeworth, who had been kept safely away from the Resistance’s field operations for the most part, finally learned of the darker side of the Resistance’s tactics. Edgeworth strongly warned the Resistance leaders to abandon their increasingly terrorist methods, or else the entire movement would lose its credibility and endanger the very otherworlders whom they claimed to be fighting for. But Edgeworth’s warnings fell on deaf ears, as the Resistance was fully convinced that such tactics were the only way to fight back against the Taskforce.

With the Resistance becoming little more than terrorists, Edgeworth could not in good conscience support their movement any longer. He left the Resistance and later released a public broadcast of his own, exposing the ugly truth of both the Taskforce and the Resistance and equally denouncing the evils of both sides. In retaliation for this “betrayal”, the Resistance sold Edgeworth out to the Taskforce, who wasted no time detaining him.

Meanwhile, just as Edgeworth had warned, the Big 120 were able to use Edgeworth’s capture to repair the Taskforce’s damaged reputation to an extent, further tarnishing that of the Resistance in the process. The official media spin nowadays is that, despite their disagreements with Edgeworth, the Taskforce still selflessly rescued him from the treachery of the bloodthirsty Resistance, who heartlessly betrayed one of their own for daring to stand up against their terrorism. Of course, Edgeworth himself knows better than to take his “rescue” at face value, but he still retains more leverage than most thanks to his somewhat larger public profile and lack of overtly dangerous characteristics. As things currently stand, if the Taskforce dares to harm the physically defenseless Edgeworth in any way, it would risk destroying the Big 120’s own carefully crafted narrative and causing a public relations disaster for the Taskforce.
