Tim remained in the living room to rummage through all the cabinets. Inside one of the drawers was a Connect Four Board Game.


"Yes!" Timmy said excited with his treasure. "Hey Jinx?! When you're finished in there, I'm gonna destroy you at Connect Four!"


He started setting up the game in preparation for Jinx's return.

Elizabeth emerged from the small room, and headed to the roof. She sighed, and leaned against the door frame. "Violet...I'm sorry I snapped and I'm sorry I told you all those mean things." Lexi looked at her, still a little angry, "Apology accepted," she said quietly.


Elizabeth walked over to the edge of the roof and leaned over the the low wall that was about hip height. "Well, isn't this a mess. Zombies, people killing each other, this is just a mess."

"I know, but it is so I said it twice."


"Lizzy...what you said about me was right. I don't see why you even came to get me, I mean, you could've just left me to die but no you came to get me even though you could've got a killed."


"Your my sister, I'm not just gonna leave you in some bleached hell hole so you can rot away with people who are nothing like you," Elizabeth sighed, "Come on, let's go back down stairs."

Jinx giggle in the shower and wipe her hand and write in the water as she throw it out saying "sure! if u can" she said as she got dress and walk out the shower.

Karson heard gunshots and quickly shot up off the small orange sofa she was sitting on. She heard someone on the roof and quickly went to go check it out, her two swords in her hands and her doberman on her left side. She walked up the stairs and turned towards the sound. Clearly, she could hear the sounds of the walkers outside but for all she knows, they can't come inside. She walked into a small blue childs bedroom to come eye to eye with a older boy, a smaller one behind him. Karson flenched, about to stab one of her swords into his abdomen but stopped, still eye to eye to him. "You're another human.. First other humans that I've seen alive. But god damn, I thought that the first other alive would be smarter than to shoot off a gun. We won't be able to leave this place at least until tomorrow night." She said, sighing and backing up out of the boys face and putting her swords back on her back.

Tim lifted his eyes away from the game and up at Jinx. She was all clean from the stench of the zombie fluids. The young girl was dressed in her new unsoiled clothes that she had taken from the mall.


Still covered in filth, the boy smiled at her and said, "You look very nice, Jinx."

jinx giggle and nodded as she write in the paper "thank u" she said as she take a seat and look at the board games that look very nice as she look at the instruction in the box and look at Tim and write in the paper "wanna play this game?" she show the paper with a smile.

"Absolutely!" Timmy said dropping his first red disc in the center of the board. He hand many fond memories of this game since it was the only one he had while with Professor Gilbert. The boy had to play by himself because the Professor didn't let him have any friends.


'Friends will only distract you away from your studies,' the Professor use to say to the lonely boy. 'You're career is far more important than having friends right now.'

jinx smile and play with his thoe she doesnt know the game much so she look at the instrustion to play well. she hope she can win since all he do back then was taking care of the patience and no games only reading up books and stuff as she look at tim and smile and write "is there a bet?"

"You've played Tic-Tac-Toe before, right? It's the same concept but you need to align four of these disc instead of just three. You're the black pieces. I'm the red ones."

This was true. The boy loved an extensive plethora of music but he did have a favorite song. It was the song the music box, he gave to Jinx, played. 'Edelweiss' reminded him of his parents before they had die. Even if he barely remembered their faces, he could still recalled the day when his kindergarten teacher took him aside and said he would never see his parents again. The boy cried by himself in a corner for the rest of the day. After that, he was given to the Professor.


That was his favorite song. It made him happy. It made him sad. It made him smile and it made him cry.

"Oh!" Timmy blurted out, now realizing what he would ask. "You said this necklace was important to you. Why is that? Did someone special give it to you?"

Tim flinched; had he said the wrong thing? The boy had made her cry. Should he have not brought the question up? Timmy quickly attempted to make her feel better.


"Zombie angels?! That would be cool. Imagine them trying to eat normal angels' brains but they can't because their just spirits without a physical form. They would snap at them and the angels would just laugh as they passed through their bodies."
