To Reign In Hell

Is there sill room for this?
There is always more room in Hell.

@Dusky can have her opulent palace, if she wishes her Greed Count live thus.

So how does crucible play and what spots are taken?

i saw the system in your signature and am reading it now and so far it seems simple enough

It looks like we have one of each Circle covered, so now people are free to play sidekicks, lovers, bodyguards, or other close lieutenants of existing players OR go ahead and make a Count in any Circle.

I'll add the Demon-specific rules to the first post in case anyone is jumping the gun before I get the project up.

o: I want a star-crossed lover!

Actually, I want several star-crossed lovers.

I'm gonna have fun with this > :D

While this is not intended to be a PC, as it is an idea for a Prince, I did think of this...

The Wandering Flame, Avenger-Prince of Hell, Where The Unjust Burn, The Rolling Thunder of Rebellion, The Flame of Vengeful Stars.

Among the Third Circle of Hell, the peculiar Court of the Wandering Flame creates a confusing caravan. Nobles to paupers make up its' squabbling mass, jostling between one another for the attentions of the Prince, which fall on deaf ears. Laman slaves are bound in silence; courtesans confined in fine silks, laypersons encased in iron. Though, their eyes tell of various passions being lived.

The Prince ignores all petitions, as he only takes heed upon arrival at the undisclosed destination. Therein lays one the most peculiar aspects of the Court: upon sensing that they are reaching the desired location, the Court pushes forward, hastily constructing a palace that takes myriad guises, from that of a small village on the Frontier to a noble's buttressed fortress. Acting with deference, the farmers tiling barren soil or maids polishing the marble floors, will tip their hats and parts ways upon the approach of the Wandering Flame. He will meet with the faux ruler of this place, prince or tribal leader, listening to their pleas for Justice and Retribution. They will offer him gifts of sapphires, to which the Prince will briefly smile, before they crumble to dust in his hands. Once the exchange is complete, the Court tears down the palace, razing it to the ground, before reforming the caravan behind Where The Unjust Burn, whom takes up an inevitable march to some pre-ordained destruction, as an incarnation of Hell's will.

Seizing the infrequent opportunities, others make attempt to use the Wandering Flame as a tool to their end, sending emissaries with messages of injustice that might tempt the Prince to action. Such attempts can go awry if it is sensed that The Rolling Thunder of Rebellion's purpose is being misused in some ill-defined, intrinsic manner. With enough safeguards in place, it is usually worth the risk of their ire.

If one's mortal eyes, or sight divine, were to gaze upon the Prime Animus of Where The Unjust Burn, they would see a lean, dark skinned man, wrapped in the satin purple robes woven of nobility's cowardice and authority's indifference. Their skin is heavily scarred, the dried blood suggesting a language that could never be spoken within the depths of Hell. Though usually covered, a forever inward falling fire forms the circumference of a black hole within his chest; whatever capacity for forgiveness that may have existed, is lost in that abyss. A staff of what appears to be aged brass, though this could never be, is wielded with inhuman skill, its' swirling motions invoking the unjust's attempts to avoid retribution for their crimes. Very rarely, but always in the presence of a vampire, a small dagger made of obsidian and ebony or perhaps ashen bone ends the creatures unlife without mercy, bringing about wide eyed exultation in the Prince.

Whether the Flames of Vengeful Stars came before or after Shurdat'urma, Lady of the Flaying Wind, is not clear due the nature of time here, however what is clear is that whenever they are evoked for Vengeance, they leave a conflagration behind. Seemingly without agency of their own, they create a paradoxical feeling that they should never have exist here and yet must always have been within the scorched Third Circle. Whatever the case may be, as it is irrelevant, he is among the Eight Princes of the Circle of Scouring Flame, Third Circle of Hell, the embodiment of Retribution; the Vengeance of Justice.

I think I need to rewrite my story ;-; I don't think its written correctly lmao. I'll write a new one soon that's more fitting when I understand more.

I am interested. But I have not read everything. So, I will get back to you.

Ok. So I have read everything up to this point except cruicible. This is simply because I do not know how it works. @Grey would you mind explaining? Or providing a link to somewhere that would explain it?

The content is largely self-explanatory - but which part do you need me to clarify?

It is all there, but I just don't understand it right now. How do you get essence? What is Resonance? How will you determine an hour has gone by? The point system for skills, at least I think they are skills, go 2/1/2. So do you have to pay less exp or what evver to learn the second level then to learn it in the first place? It makes sense now that I think about it, but still just want to be clear on this. Oh, and interested in a creature of Greed when and if I figure all this out.

Your Essence regenerates over time. Resonance measures your Demon's connection to their ruling Principle, their power and rank within their Circle.

I'll tell you when an hour has gone by.

Yes, the first level of a skill is more expensive than the second; the idea is you're learning all the fundamentals from scratch, then the second point is building on that knowledge, and the third is learning advanced stuff again.

Ok. How do you gain xp, and then spend it? Do you tell them that they have gained x amount and can spend it by adjusting their cs?

You start with the listed amounts of XP to build your character. I'll award XP as appropriate and players spend it by editing their CS.

Ok. That's all the questions I have for now. I shall look into making a character. Bear with me if I get things wrong.

Count of pride- Swordsmaster Lucier- King of the blade- striker of fear

Taking The form of a two handed-broadsword, He is the strongest, quickest and most agile of swordsman. He takes pride in this boasting to many of the lords and counts of the circle of pride. He is occasionally called down to earth to help train and make the strongest swordsman but alas those who use the power of Lucier fade quickly and weaken even quicker.

He seeks to bring himself above and beyond all other demons of pride. Any one who enters his realm can ask for help, that is if they can beat him in sword combat.

Reasonable starting point. Go ahead to the subforum and flesh him out.
