as i said, my name is christy! you can call me chris, or just christy, or any variation of the name if you want. here are a few things you can expect from me, as a partner:

— quality > quantity. that isn't to say that i don't care about quantity, of course, i just don't stress on it too much. at the very least, i shell out three paragraphs of writing, per character, but so far i haven't reach a maximum limit.​

— in terms of genders, i'm more than capable of playing any and all, though, like with everyone, my mood changes and my preference shifts, so at the moment, i'm primarily looking to portray female characters. in scenarios where we'd portray multiple characters, i can definitely bend this rule. please note that this does not mean i will look for a way to portray two characters. i won’t double just for the sake of even genders. to me it just feels like that’s a way to get the pairing of your choice which is fine but it ultimately ends up with one pairing being neglected, at least in my experience, so if the plot doesn’t call for it, please don’t ask me to double up.​

— as far as romantic pairings go (yes, i always need romance in my stories) i participate actively in m|f and, when i'm in the mood, m|m too. at the moment i'm only looking for m|f though. never quite got into f|f if i'm being honest so i'm not looking for any of those pairings at the moment.​

— i'm online every day, but that doesn't mean i can reply every day. i only type rp responses from my laptop so there will definitely be times when i can chat endlessly in ooc, but will not be able to get a reply up. please don't take offence to this and think that i'm not interested. we all have lives outside of rpn, so keep that in mind! i will also never pressure you for a post. i'm a patient person, and i can wait days on end for a reply.​

— diverse characters are my jam. i love portraying characters from varying backgrounds, as well as ethnicities, and i always use real life face claims. i also love to code, and will likely always use code in my roleplays.​

— i can roleplay either through threads or via pms, though i will not roleplay anywhere else. for ooc, i prefer to use discord, but i will never roleplay on discord. the word limit thing just sucks and i can't code.​

— some of my favourite themes to include in a roleplay would be: romance, angst, drama, supernatural, powers, tension, action, betrayal, fluff, mythology and occasionally, historical themes too.​

— little known fact: i love to draw! i think i suck at it but i enjoy it anyway. i also am an amateur photographer and i'm looking to expand that more.​

my expectations.

now that you know about me, here's what i'm hoping to find in a roleplay partner:

— quality > quantity. someone who understands that length isn't everything and can give me quality content along with a reasonably sized post. a writing sample would be great, but i won't say i need one in order to roleplay with a person.​

— someone who, at the moment, is fine with portraying a heterosexual male main, and additional side characters of varying genders and sexualities. i will also be picking up npcs, and i'd rather not be the only one doing so. in the event that we'd play multiple characters, genders will, of course, be discussed.​

— someone who can plot with me. driving a story between two people requires effort from both ends! i can guarantee ideas from my side. what i want is active contribution from you too!​

— communication is key. i require a partner who doesn't mind ooc chat. even if we don't do it often, i just like to be informed if you're going to be away for a while, so i'm not left wondering if you're still interested or not. and if you're no longer interested, that's fine! just let me know. i know it can be hard, but i promise, i won't take offence to it. it's much better than ditching me.​

conflicting ships.

now the fun part! here are a few conflicting ships that i thought would be cool to explore. they're vague, and don't have a plot line, but we could easily come up with one! also feel free to pitch your own if you think i'll enjoy it.

— they are straight-up enemies - superhero / villain? opposing sides of a war? in line to be ruler? from different mobs/gangs?​

— they broke their heart in the past - maybe there was a good reason behind it, or maybe they were an idiot then and realize it now.​

​

— they did the other wrong in the past - maybe they wronged the other’s family member or friend.​

​

— they are good friends - they don’t want to risk ruining their friendship by taking it to the next level.​

​

— they are freaked out by who they really are - a werewolf, vampire, ex-con, spy, etc.​

​

— it was supposed to be sex only - they were going to be friends with benefits, or maybe one of them is an escort. falling in love goes against the original arrangement.​

​

— their love was supposed to be fake - they were pretending to be in love or married, or they entered a marriage of convenience.​

​

— they have moral qualms - one of them is the other’s boss, their teacher, ex-girlfriend or their best friend, and that gives them pause.​

​

— their love is forbidden by others - it’s against the rules, spoken or unspoken, of their family, organization, community, or religion.​

​

— one of them is promised to someone else - maybe the wedding’s already planned and everything. they might have reasons for going through with a loveless marriage.​

​

— they are a danger to the other’s safety - they’re a spy, vampire, drug lord, gang leader, etc.​

​

— they have a reputation - a materialistic douche, a heartless womanizer, etc.​

​

— they have terrible first impressions of one another - they might have gotten off to an awful start by arguing over something.​

— god for a week — A group of five people are injected with a serum with the intent of giving them superpowers. With the animal testing, this serum had been deemed completely safe and ready for human trials. However now inside a human subject, the serum develops powerful carcinogenic qualities and is killing the human subjects. Faced with their own rapidly approaching deaths and with a myriad of powers at their fingertips how do these super beings spend their last few days?​

— we’re just friends — i’m .,, dying for a plot where it’s like these two friends & and somehow somewhere tht can be discussed they ended up kissing and it’s like ?? wow ur good at this… we really shouldn’t but can we like,, kiss a lil bit more ?? and from then on it’s like every time they get together they kind of make out ? a lot ? and then it’d develop to hookups with breathless “just friends, right?” mixed in with it and that was fi nE bc they were just friends like no feelings at all lmao…,, until one of them eventually gets a boyfriend/girlfriend and the other is just like haha yeah dude no i don’t care that’s cool…,, it was just for fun anyway… i don’t miss our little thing together i swear i’m not jealous…,, not at all i don’t havE ANy FeeLINGS FOR U WHATSOEVER..,,, fuckin beautiful jerk and it’d just be really angsty and fluffy and lots of developing feelings tht shouldn’t be developed and yeah​

— it’s just a myth — except it’s not just a myth. gods are real. very much so, and they have relationships with humans. their offspring are known as demigods and… well, a few of them are guided to a place to meet because something big is about to happen — something that could affect the fate of the world — and they’re the chosen few who can possibly put a stop to this threat.​

— with great power… — ...comes great responsibility. only, these people never asked for that power. unfortunately, now they have no other choice but to put that to good use, when they’re recruited by a secret agency that tries to help deal with threats in the world. congrats! you’re now a superhero! it just isn’t as easy as it seems… and there may or may not be a mole up in this joint.​

— she’s the man — so if you’ve seen the movie (or know the shakespeare story it’s based on), it’s essentially about how muse a disguises herself as a male (specifically, her twin brother) to join a school where she can participate in the boys soccer team since her old school cut the girls team. it’s a boarding school, there are lots of tense moments where she’s almost caught, and let’s not forget that her roommate is fkin hot and what the hell is she supposed to do now??​

— it’s called (bullshit) tradition — muse a is a college frat stud who only cares about being top dog at his frat house. muse a’s frat has a tradition that involves frat brothers hooking up with and taking the panties of the goody two-shoes girls on campus. muse a isn’t crazy about the idea, but peer pressure to be the biggest badass pushes them into going along with it. muse a picks one of the biggest goody two-shoes on campus, muse b. muse a asks muse b to a party and they accept. at the party, muse a spends some alone time with muse b and oops, they see muse b is crazy sweet and feel so bad that they confess what their true intention was for the night.​

— what happened here? — muse a is back home for a visit with their family. upon arrival, they notice that their small town is deserted and there isn’t a soul in sight. muse a finally comes across someone, muse b. muse b and muse a have known each other since childhood, but had never gotten along. muse b tells muse a about what is happening (zombies/aliens/government/whatever your heart desires) and they decide to stick together and try to survive until they find more help.​

— the wedding planner — Muse A is a wedding planner who is very dedicated and focused on their job. They take it quite seriously. They don’t intend to marry personally, because they haven’t had much success with dating. Muse B is the groom of the wedding Muse A was hired to plan, but Muse A doesn’t know that when they meet and Muse falls for them.​

— the bodyguard — Muse A is a royal whose parent/parents can’t seem to keep track of. Despite their royal duties, Muse A just wants to run off. They hire Muse B as Muse A’s bodyguard of sorts, though Muse B is instructed not to tell Muse A. Muse B arranges to meet Muse A randomly and a bond is formed.​

fandoms.

i don't dabble in fandoms that much, if using canons, but when it comes to original characters, or simply using elements of the universe, i can definitely get on board! here are some movies/tv shows/books i enjoyed that could inspire plot ideas for us to follow (and to give you a better idea of the kind of themes i enjoy:

— the maze runner (the concept of being trapped somewhere without memories. maybe super powers are in play?)​

— the hunger games (loved the idea and the books. maybe roleplaying out one of the past games would be fun. or something post the rebellion, with more twisted games.)​

​

— the purge (very interesting idea! always thought a purge inspired rp would be cool.)​

​

— bird box (interesting concept! we could play around and switch it up.)​

— harry potter (magic, duh.)​

​

— gossip girl (haven't actually watched the show, but i assume it's filled with lies, and gossip and drama, and i live for such high school scenes. even an elite boarding school maybe?)​

— the haunting of hill house (ghosts. need i say more?)​

​

— teen wolf (supernaturals, hunters, i mean, so much fun??)​

​

— divergent (the faction based concept was intriguing!)​

​

— stranger things (the concept of lab experiments on the run is a cool one to roll with. or anything from this universe, really.)​

— the mortal instruments (not a huge fan of the series (and hate the show), but some of the concepts are cool! it'd be fun to explore a whole new institute, a different threat, and the concept of parabatai bonds.)​

As you can see by my fc I do play as male, but I’m a female. I’m in my twenties and have been in the rp world for 13 years. I looove angsty romance with plenty of real life and drama mixed in. they broke their heart in the past -- Maybe the heart-breaker was just an idiot, or maybe they had some mental turmoil that uprooted their relationship. Just up and left, because they felt like they could have something better (even though they were perfectly happy already). The Muse left behind probably doesn't like them very much, maybe even breaking out into tears when forced to confront them.

they did the other wrong in the past -- Maybe Muse A and Muse B had a big falling out over something small and stupid because they were both insanely stubborn and refused to acknowledge their part in the whole thing. Maybe they secretly wished that the other would apologize to them and they could be friends-- but they weren't about to be that person.

they have a reputation -- It might be a case of false rumours, but it might be that the negative stigma is completely true. But what if the Muse is willing to change for the other, and they just don't believe them?

they have terrible first impressions of one another -- I like what you said for this one. Maybe it was a small argument over a small thing that stayed with them and bugged them. They just refuse to be friendly to each other because "Oh my god, they're so stupid."

Hi! Dizzy's the name, and roleplaying (and League of Legends) is my game! The League of Legends tid-bit was probably unnecessary, but...onward with the conversation!

Anyway, as I've already stated, I'm Dizzy! For the sake of this conversation, instead of an age range, I'll just state my straight-up age, which is fifteen. I'm a female, but I'm not very particular about pronouns, so don't fret if you accidentally use he/him or they/them on me! I can play any gender, but to be honest, I'd rather play a male this time round because I need some practice! I also have a hankering to do an MxM role play since I need some practice with those types of relationships, but me can do MxF if ya' want! My schedule is very open on weekends (basically, I can get on at all times), though I can only get on after 3:00 P.M. (PST) on weekdays due to school. I can usually dish out 3-5 paragraphs, and make them quite detailed. I'm also totally up to chat on Discord, but we can go OOC on here if you please (though I can assume you prefer Discord, ). I also love romance and angst! Especially romantic angst. Little known fact: I'm quite a popular Wattpad writer.

The Bodyguard — Muse A is a royal whose parent/parents can’t seem to keep track of. Despite their royal duties, Muse A just wants to run off. They hire Muse B as Muse A’s bodyguard of sorts, though Muse B is instructed not to tell Muse A. Muse B arranges to meet Muse A randomly and a bond is formed. [ Maybe we could mix this with the 'forbidden love' ship trope? After all, I feel an amazing plot would be that the bodyguard is a lower class, so the royal can't associate with them beyond the protection aspect. ]

Hi there!

I'm AnimeGenork, or Gen, as I have been more commonly known. I've only been roleplaying since pretty much I've been on this site (so about three years), but I've been writing creatively and coming up with story ideas since I was about ten or eleven (which adds up to eight years). I'm a college freshman in the marching band, so obviously both of those eat up time, but I love writing, and I often end up playing male characters anyway (I love balance in RPs and I usually take the initiative on that), but playing multiple characters is no problemo, amigo! I don't actually take Spanish. As for response length, um... it depends? If I'm really inspired, you could get the longest thing you've ever seen (well not as long as some I've seen, actually, but maybe seven to nine paragraphs) or you'll get a very sarcastic and funny two paragraphs. Whichever occurs, I write to entertain. Oh, and realistic face claims are no problem! They make for better gifs to spam with! : P

hey hey~ my name is ukiiyo or uki for short. i've been writing for honestly as long as i can remember and i've been roleplaying for around five years. i personally have developed my writing style to a more detailed style and usually write a minimum of three paragraphs per post since that tends to be what many of my partners prefer. i adapt to the length my partner writes at so that nobody feels pressured to write more or less. i am generally pretty active after work and can bust out a reply within half an hour if i'm really into the roleplay. i do work full time so i'm pretty busy but i always make time for my roleplays. like most of the people above, romance is a huge part of my roleplays. i really like fleshing out the characters and their relationships as i love the development we can create, which leads to me being very into hcing so i can kind of get a feel of how the dynamic would shift depending on certain scenarios. i'm open to all romantic pairings but at the moment i've been really craving mxm because i haven't gotten to play too many of those ships on this site yet. i do tend to create more of 'uke' characters just because that is what i'm personally comfortable with but idk if that even is important (just thought i'd mention it). forgot to mention that i like to have the setting of the roleplay generally outside of the united states because i find other countries rather interesting with their different cultures. i am the most familiar with south korea and japan though!

fact: i actually started digital art and am currently working on characters for a story i'm writing!

I'm lilly! Im a very talkative person who absolutely appreciates ooc communication between partners, I feel a bit weird not being able to talk to others outside of rp. Hi Christy! I’m Gunn and beat with me as I am currently typing this from my phone lol! I’ll try to keep this as clear cut and straight the point while filling in details as they come.

First and foremost, I’m online more times than not so you won’t have to worry about activity. Typically, I tell my partners what’s going on in my life if I’m unable to post. That being said, I am a fast replier, admittedly, especially when the RP is good and juicy. It leaves me on the edge of my seat to find out what’s going to happen next!

Secondly, I wanted to give you a hug for wanting diverse characters. Love it! I predominantly play male leads in my roleplays so I have not problem with that while also playing multiple side characters along the way. Keeps things interesting and throws our protagonists for a loop at random times! Can’t have happily ever after without some drama, right?

So to the good stuff... fun fact about me? Uh... not usually good with this stuff, ha! I guess a fact about me is that I’ve read all of the Harry Potter books and seen all of the movies but I’m not a huge HP fan? Sort of read it out of obligation (long story lol). But yeah, I’m not as well versed in the lore as most others are. I know the basics but I’m certainly not a mega fan. Yeah... that’s a fun fact about me lol.

Alright, so the plot I’m most interested in is “We’re Just Friends.” Seems like an amazing premise. Mind if I add a little bit to it? So they could be in college and are complete opposites. We can discuss the details via PM (their majors, friend groups, etc.). But I’m thinking you could play a “bad girl” and I could play a “good guy.” Initially, they start off as enemies/rivals for whatever reason but they end up connecting over a mutual interest. Before long, the two become good friends despite their different friend groups and then... boom! Make our session happens somehow someway which segues into the plot aforementioned. Likewise, we could always reverse it to do bad boy/good girl but I like the idea of the bad girl being salty about the good guy managing to get a girlfriend because bad girl was like “Nah, we’re just friends. I’m okay... except I’m not okay.”

Hey I'm Xed, been coming my own silly little stories since I was 9 and I love plotting ideas for stories and fleshing out deep character backstories. One little known fact about me is that I am absolutely terrified of horror movies and haven't watched one in my life.

I usually roleplay males but I'm comfortable with playing both genders and normally write in third person. I love angst, drama and romance in a roleplay and usually gravitate towards roleplays that involve any of these or have an intriguing setting that involves some adventure (like runaways or pirates) or fantasy elements. I always try to have a minimum of one or two paragraphs in my responses so that my partner has a sufficient amount to work with. I'm most comfortable with heterosexual pairings in romance mostly because I don't have the confidence to portray it well but I am not opposed to trying out other romantic pairings.

They have moral qualms
They are straight up enemies
Or coming up with a new plot together.
