That makes sense; I imagine several people are spooked by a consultation since it also delves into the readers past. The rest would depend on what exactly she had asked to be consult on, but perhaps if it was just the general future, it might have included a vague mysterious danger which could be related to the struggle for the Throne or something else? Either way, that sounds like a fun start.

Thought I'd snag up some easy plotlines that could tie Rennick to a few other characters. Real baseline low-hanging fruit type stuff here, but if it's easy to reach might as well grab it, y'know?

Soviet Panda I think it'd be interesting if there was bad blood between the Kaltenbrun pack and the Howlhenge pack, which naturally extends to House Wylde as well for harboring them. That could tie in to Maylee's mentorship too, with it being an attempt by both sides to work together.

Ayama Rennick likes toying with dhampyrs anyways, but since Paige seems so serious and they likely trained under Kara together, he'd love toying with her. He'd do things like call her Elowen 'on accident' or ask if a different House offered her a better contract yet. Seeing as they both like fighting hunters too, there could be a friendly little rivalry between them (well, friendly on Rennick's part, at least).

a z u l a I feel like Rennick and Iva would get along really well, with both of them being mangey little mutts with no respect for the hierarchy. I'm sure they would've met on Godric's trips to Europe, since her father was the head Deathdealer of House Wylde and probably would've attended him. Maybe they could even be distant cousins?

I don't believe we've discussed any plotting ideas just yet, if even just base ones; do you believe Rennick would have at all met or even consulted with Gadiel about anything? From his anger, I'm unsure, but it might be interested if so.

And I'm also an extremely busy person and sometimes get overwhelmed falling behind OOC but everyone has been super understanding to my busy schedule. It really is a lax environment to post once a week in, I promise. But also understandable it's your choice in the end

Squad141 So, I'm actually about to post another character in the next few minutes who is also a bit of an info-broker, that I was planning on having her be close to and consult with Gadiel often, and it will have been a request of hers to refrain from telling Darrius anything about his sister if he does come to him, because she needs him ignorant in order to manipulate him. In reality, Laika is already dead, and Gadiel would know this too. (As by whose hands...? Is gonna be left up for debate and drama lol)

Ayama So Darrius would probably be interested in sparring with Paige, as he hasn't encountered many Dhampyrs in his line of work, and with her being relatively close to Rennick, it's a chance for him to see what he's all about without being too forward. He'd also be curious to figure out why she pledges such fierce loyalty to the Karnsteins. It's sort of a nagging curiosity he has is to question loyalties like that.

But seriously I do think he would be rather protective of him, he's got a secret soft spot for some of the Ruthven children because he saw what they went through in childhood during their "training". It's not their fault they're demons!

Omg I love that Callan thinks that Mara is a manipulative danger to and bad influence on poor, innocent Rivaille xD Given how things went down and what the relationship is like between them now, it just adds an extra layer to the drama- gonna be so much fun to play! >]

Also gonna be fun to watch Iva push Mara as far as she dares while being just on the edge of 'Okay, you've gone too far, House Wylde must die' xD

Aww that sounds totally adorable- Thea needs someone as an annoying/endearing little sister kind of counterpoint~

I think Thea and Callan can have the same sort of relationship as Thea and Gadiel- based on mutual interest and curiosity, and removed from the politicking of their competing Houses.

Rivaille is a perfect little angel, of course Mara is the problem (Callan is gaslighting himself for his own sanity). I'm excited to see it all unfold!

Iva is queen of seeing just how far she can push people before it stops being fun (aka they try to kill her or Godric yells at her). Poor Mara will never know peace

Iva will slowly grow on Thea, whether she'll admit it or not, she'll bring her fun new ingredients from across the pond when she visits. An apology gift before she annoys her with her endless curiosity. Hopefully Thea is as patient as a saint

That sounds good to me! They can sulk in silence together while the others cause chaos. Callan will probably try to keep his distance at first but be too interested in what she's doing, eventually starting a conversation and finding that he actually enjoys her company (she's not constantly yelling like the others)

Okay let me say I love her, but I feat that my characters will not. Callan thinks she is horrible, terrible, bad news. He's very afraid of House Karnstein and her loyalty to Lucian is.....disturbing to him. Not in that her dedication itself is bad, but that she is willing to do anything to keep Lucian safe and in power. She's a real threat to House Ruthven so I think he will mostly avoid her? I could maybe see them respecting each other for their loyalty, but the loyalty is what makes them dangerous to each other? Idk if that makes sense but it makes sense in my head.

As for Iva, she has a similar sentiment as Callan, but she's less afraid and sees it as more of a challenge. She will definitely want to get under Paige's skin, but at the same time she understands the dedication, she is equally as loyal to Godric so I could see her admiring Paige's dedication and how hard she's trained.

PLEASE they would be insufferable. Everyone would keep them separated at all costs (and fail miserably). Absolute menaces to every vampire around them, just pure chaos every time they're together. I think them being distant cousins on her father's side would work well!

That's understandable; I actually enjoy that first idea, especially since Gadiel won't usually bring up past consultations to people who weren't in the room when it happened, and I imagine that quite a few figures within the Court have had bodyguards if getting a reading.

Also, I do love the performance idea; Gadiel most likely wouldn't act as theatrical as he does on the rare occasion, but even if he is mysterious and generally straightforward, he'll draw a few Tarot and make a puff of smoke with a spare rune or sigil for effect.

Ezra would def swap sides if he was presented with the right package deal or persuaded Currently he definitely underestimates Mara. He's not sure if she’s got what it takes to go up against the other houses. But this is also because he hasn't witnessed her prowess first-hand. He finds her a capable leader of her house, but without the protection of her family and guards, is she powerful enough to hold the throne on her own?

For Paige, he feels the distrust and honestly it is absolutely warranted lol But he's passive with her of course to avoid too much hassle. He does find her combat experience to be impressive. Sometimes he will try to test the limits of her loyalty tho or attempt to probe her thoughts.

Thea like how he views a lot of witches is with a mutual respect. He values intelligence so would enjoy conversing with her. For experienced witches, his identity would be revealed, as his practices are quite indicative of his heritage. He also uses relics only used by his clan. So I could see her figuring it out. But to like the average witch or majority of vampires he just comes across as “just another witch” that specializes in life and death magic lol

The secret lovers so I was going to have Freya be sort of new to House Varney, but it is intended that she quickly becomes attached to Diana. I really want to play out a scene when she realizes Lucian frequenting her lady’s company she's going to be shocked LOL her original ideas of him will change when she discovers he has a soft side for Diana. She's gonna cry at their star crossed love story

I'm honestly so excited for Mara Darrius and Calli. It is going to be such an interesting and fun dynamic to play out.

Virelle def does business with Lucian, she knows he's Dianas secret lover too but never speaks it. She def tried to tap that tho I like to think she also refuses to trade secretive info on House Varney because she doesn't want to incur Lucians wrath. Like “if he discovered I helped endanger her…” def not worth.

I've been using 'vs.' when I can't find plotting for either side, and 're' when I've seen plotting from one side but not the other~
