If you ask Diane for a name - and she is more of a linguist - she'll tell you ..."pretty blue crystals" or the "ugly mud colored rocks."

i'll search among my friends in a bit for interested parties.

also, found one of the fantasy metals i've developed

Dallid
⦁ Soft clay-like material similar to meerschuam in raw form
⦁ can be shaped and edged while being forged
⦁ Extremely light weight an bouyant in water
⦁ Strong as alloyed steel
⦁ Never loses its edge
⦁ Looks like a coal black clay when dug up
⦁ turns Nickel/steel in color after forging
⦁ low thermal conductivity after forging
⦁ Makes for excellent armour

There aren't going to be materials found naturally on Prometheus that do not exist on Earth. But there may be some alien materials created by their advanced technologies or mined in exotic locations in the universe and processed.

Gotcha. We'll see. Also been working on an alternate timeline setting that I have learned is similar to Man in the High Castle (though mine favors the Soviets over Japanese). Not sure I am happy with that one as it is though.

Well, I had to consider it from the point of view of the people bringing people over. Can you imagine anyone - not a total sociopath - that would drag a 12-15 year old into a world of Gorean type savagery and violence to possibly face threats of eradication from super advanced aliens? It isn't the character age that bothers me. It is the idea of subjecting them to such a world.

I briefly considered a non riftwalker native. But that would have to be an NPC ... and would never be brought into the group. That would violate an agreement my characters have with the Priest Kings.

Been researching the Man in the High Castle. Might do a fandom based on that show, though I am looking at setting it in 1983, rather than 1962.

No, no mental aberrations. YOUR character is an extreme stretch. Depends on how high functioning he is. Consider how people on our Earth react. Then look at how people would have reacted 2000 years ago.

Man in the High Castle is based on a sci fi book published in Oct 1962. It is set in an alternate timeline where the Axis won WWII. The author, Philip K. Dick is considered to be one of the best Sci Fi authors in history.

I guessed as much. If most can't tell today and your character is based off that, then he's probably fine. I suspect I am very borderline myself. Just a few of the symptoms though, things I notice. I think I escaped it by a narrow margin.
