Just wondering, you haven't said whether it needs anything further for now or if it's good. I wasn't exactly sure.
Well it seems hardly finished, but if you don't mind the lacking of information, it might not be the best for you, but it's fine.

It's not final at all. I'm going to build on it as I go. I thought that was kinda the plan to begin with?

Well, the thing is that there are some small developments for your nation, but if it's a set of tribes, then sure, go for it.

Pronunciation: Byur-as-land

Origin of name: Originally called Bur's Land. It evolved into what it is called now rather quickly.

The Burs were a particularly ruthless clan, and their leader was something to be feared. He conquered clan after clan, until there was only one left. That one clan, was the Uros. In exchange for sparring them, the Uros would join the Burs without a fight. They were also much more cunning then the Burs, and managed to slip in handle basically everything, securing themselves as the leaders. After realizing what had happened, the clan leader of the Burs slew the clan leader of the Uros, and set up a puppet ruler, who was promptly ordered to step down, after rewritting the old contact, and appointing a Bur as king.

Pre-history: They were previously divided up into many clans.

Blood Grass, a common weed found around a butcher's shop. Quickly grows and dies where blood has been spilled.

Important plants: Grand Oaks are seen as mystical. If a butcher's shop doesn't have blood grass around it, their will most likely be little to no buisness unless it is rather new. Blood grass found anywhere else is seen as a sign for coming bloodshed, from a paper cut to death.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Country name: Eleutheria

Pronunciation: E-lou-thee-reea

Origin of name: Its the latin word for freedom.

Age: 300

Demonym: Eleutherians

Titles/Motto: The land of the most accepting.

Capital: Libertas

Major cities: Civitas, Pilleum, Vacatio

Regions: South-Western area near the lake and mountain range.

History: Queen Alva, hailing from a small tribe of hunter gatherers located somewhere in the southern mountain range, founded Eleutheria creating the first recorded year of the nation. She along with a small coalition of warriors, diplomats, and merchants traveled up north toward the western Great Lake in search of land of their own. They did this to free themselves from the governing religious air that seemed to slow any advancements both social and technological. In truth, Queen Alva didn't become royalty because of some self determined divine right, instead she was chosen by the people in the small coalition to lead because of her natural charismatic personality, while also being very intelligent. She later became the Queen when she herself decided to make a whole new democratic government where she could distance herself and the royal family at the time from even the possibility of a absolute monarchy.

In the beginning however, she did fully utilize her power as the Queen to hand pick her first officials. She chose a well respected warrior of the coalition named Carlos, who was the undisputed best swordsman of the group. She named him the first General of the Army, which would later turn into the General of the Combined Forces when the Navy is established a decade or so later. She chose a diplomat, who arguably more charismatic than herself named, Gustav as the Chief Diplomat who would represent her when she wasn't available. The last official she named at this time was the Chief of Labor, who was a scholar and merchant named Luke. He was without a doubt the smartest man among them. His job made it so his watchful eye would always gaze upon the economy and workforce; he would later go on to establish the first university and was the first Chief of Science.

After Alva chose her leaders, she would lead her people on to meet a whole other nation of people that had established themselves where the capital city of Libertas rests now. The locals here were a secular nation that had no true leader, but completely dedicated to the scientific advancement of mankind. Due to this however, they had no real military and thus were plagued by constant bombardment of barbarians that roamed that land. Alva wanted to combine with this nation, as she saw that they were much more technologically advanced, but more so than that, they had already had established buildings and a working economy that wasn't perfect, though it worked. It would save her years of building and energy that could be used instead for a better means. She also saw the barbarian attacks as an opportunity to show their worth, and that's exactly what she did. Under the command of General Carlos, her army would completely wipe out the barbarians. At the same time, she was in the nation, working from the inside out, gaining support from the locals.

Within two years, she found herself the leader of the nation that she renamed Eleutheria. She would go on to marry General Carlos and have two children, one older boy, and a younger girl. After five years of rule, she saw how her power could be abused by later generations, she created a new government called the Ordinatio. This government would be run on a checks and balance system, and the officials would be elected by the citizens of Eleutheria. The rules of this government would be written as time went along, and as issues surfaced. One of the few rules that she establish early on was that there had to be at least three political parties at a given time. There could be more, but never less. With a strong military, no religion, and no real outside threats, Eleutheria devoted its time and economy to scientific advancements. There's no real social stigmas that exist, other than perhaps the distance between the scientists and the blue collar laborers. The nation has ran just fine for three hundred of its recorded history, and looking forward to at least another five hundred to come.

Pre-history: The village that Queen Alva and her coalition came from were full of illogical nuts. They demanded sacrifice for just about anything, and they worshipped just about everything under the sun...even including the sun. There was never one single tribe, they were broken off into several smaller ones that would often times break into battles that would be fast, but occurred very often. These battles were mostly about territory, although at other times, it was purely for sport. These tribes politically were ran by the "wise men" or shamen in other words. Often times their decisions were based purely on a whim.

Flag:

Coat of Arms:

Population: 7,000
INHABITANTS

Race: The tones of skin vary greatly from person to person, even at the beginning. For instance, Alva had whiter skin, while her husband Carlos had a caramel like skin tone.

Careers: The big three exist here which are the doctor, lawyer, and engineer career paths. Some people may find a living in politics, though their pay won’t afford them a lavish lifestyle. You also have various jobs as a scientific researcher in various fields. Another path, though less traveled, is the route of an officer in the army or navy.
GEOGRAPHY

Cartography: Eleutheria has a beautiful landscape marked by one of the continent's Great Lakes to the west, along with mountain ranges to the south. There is a patch of woods to the Northeast that’ll lead directly into the plains located centrally in the continent. The capital city is located in the middle of its three major cities. Civitas, one of the major cities, is located right next to the great lake. This is where the Navy is, and where also the Naval Academy rests as well. Mostly around the cities however, is nothing but plains, mostly due to the expansion of their nation.

Roads and transportation: During her rule, Queen Alva established the “highway” system that connects the three major cities with the capital city. This highway forms a circle around the capital city while at the same time connecting the major cities. The highway is made out of cobblestone to compliment the citizens of Eleutheria’s main form of transportation. The horse, already made tame by the time Queen Alva and her coalition came to the area. There is a seemingly endless amount of horses, some being devoted to military use, but most used by pretty much everyone. Merchants, scholars, labourers and everyone in between. Due to the abundance of horses, they were cheap so anyone could afford one.

Climate: Temperate Deciduous forest.

Neighbors:
ECONOMY

Resources: Steel, Iron, Horses, Fish, Gems

Exporting: Fish and Gems

Importing: Wheat and Lumber

Non-tradable resources:

Non-importable:

Smuggling:

Economy: Socialist(?)

Currency: The Pecunia

Agriculture and farming: Can produce most vegetables and some fruits. The nation can’t produce its own wheat.

Piracy and raiding: No real threat of raids from barbarians or other nations. Aside from the occasional attempt of counterfeit, piracy isn’t a problem.
RELIGION

Name: None as this nation is atheist.

Festivals: Just because there is no religion in the nation, that doesn’t mean there aren’t reasons to celebrate. There is a festival for just about everything. There is a alcohol festival, several music and science festivals. Even festivals for the food culture. Even though all these festivals are different, they all promote the same thing. Thats to be happy, peaceful, free, but it also promotes a smarter living.
SOCIAL

Factions: Liberals, Conservatives, and Neutrals. These are the “Big Three” but you also have smaller parties that these groups stem their actual power from. These smaller parties have no real allegiance to any of the bigger three, so they often flip flop to fit the situation.

Head of state: Due to Queen Alva’s actions nearly three hundred years earlier, the royal family has no real power in modern politics. Instead they act as figure heads of the nation and they can still represent their nation in world politics if needed. The person that has somewhat of the final say is the President. He, just like the royal family, represents the nation in world politics. He has somewhat of a final say in both Domestic and Foreign affairs. He is ultimately elected by the citizens of Eleutheria.

Form of government: Representative Democracy

New Members: ?

Classes and Castes: Because of the way the taxes work, with the wealthier paying higher taxes, it creates a situation where everyone is lumped together in one big middle class. This exists only monetarily because even though everyone makes roughly the same, the jobs themselves are very different. Different as in how the people that work those jobs are regarded. For instance, a farmer won’t be treated the same as an Astronomer socially, even though they’ll receive the same rights in every way. In this sense, thats where the social divide is very real. This however isn’t a huge issue because...

Mingling between classes: The fact is, people generally keep to themselves in Eleutheria. Small chat doesn’t occur at random places like the market or a restaurant. So typically, a random person won’t know your occupation, unless of course you're a celebrity in your craft. Since this is the case, people only tend to communicate when they’re sharing the same activity. The most common place people meet each other is at school, but this is also the case at the workplace.

Education: The educational system in Eleutheria is straightforward, and somewhat complicated at the same time. All of the costs of education at the various levels is covered by the taxpayers of the nation. Compulsory education begins for children at either 6 or 7 depending on the birthday. They will continue this education until the age of 16 or so, once again depending on the birthday. Throughout this time, the education taught is very much the same all the way throughout. Meaning there is very little deviation from the “common core” however there are exceptions to this guideline. The material taught is basic math, language, and a mixture of all the known sciences.

Upon completing the compulsory education, it is up to the individual on what they want to do next. They can choose to continue on with their, never stepping into another classroom again, but they will more than likely be only able to obtain a simple blue collar job that would be hard, strenuous work more than likely (ie. miner, ditch digger, etc.). For those that seek more educational opportunities, they have two choices (With one exception being the military academy that’ll be detailed below). They can enter into a vocational school, more commonly referred to an mass apprenticeship. Here they are taught a trade that they can use once they graduate. This trade can be training as a chef, blacksmith, and butcher among many others.

The other choice they have is “high school” or secondary school where it’ll act as more of a preparatory for university. At the same time though, those that graduate from this level will have more job choices than otherwise. The classroom environment here is a lot more lenient and they teach more advanced concepts, but more so practising the material taught before. Upon graduation from here, the individual has gained access to the university located in the capital city. Here is where they’ll be educated to be either an engineer, scientist, lawyer or doctor. A good number of the students here will stay here for research opportunities. Graduation from here is not only seen as a great accomplishment, but honor as well. All of the politicians in the nation have graduated at this level.

Slavery: Slavery does not exist in this nation as there isn’t a need for it.

Crime and law: The crimes and laws are largely based around and on the natural rights.

Crime fighting: The law enforcement is handled by military personnel. This is to save resources for the most part, though they do take one extra class on dealing with people.

Gender roles: In the beginning, gender roles largely didn’t exist due to the Queen’s influence. Though, as the time went on, it became less of a social reason, but more a physical divide between the two sexes. This is the most seen when dealing with military affairs, as due to just a sheer lack of numbers, both men and women were accepted without discrimination. Now however, women are lucky to get a support role within the military. The military aside, there isn’t any set gender roles as both men and women have accomplished great things since the dawn of the nation.

Deviating sexuality:

Rite of Passage: Graduating from compulsory school could be seen as something of a rite of passage.

Social security: A very small percentage is taken from the taxes that all citizens are required to pay. In total however, those small amounts add up to pretty nice sum of funds. That fund is used solely for social security that applies to anyone who has reached the age of 65.

Dressing codes: Theres no real difference in dress between to two sexes since they all wear white robes. The only exceptions to this was the elected officials who wear blue, the president wore black, and the royal family wore purple.

Medical care: The medical care is fully funded by the taxes that are paid by the citizens. Even a good number of illnesses aren’t yet understood, they are on the right track of understanding at least a couple of them.

Morals: Different issues go through the same process in the Ordinatio. A lot of the time though, there is a certain leniency towards scientific research.

Stereotypes:
MILITARY

Weaponry: Access to all early medieval weaponry. (To make it easier for us all.)

The military falls under two different kinds of personnel; enlisted and officer. The enlisted makes up the backbone of the military. They are the raw manpower, and they are those ones who do the grunt work as well. The officers on the other hand are the leaders of the military. Always in some sort of leadership role, even at the lowest rank of second lieutenant, they outrank even a command sergeant major who may be twenty years his senior.

Number in military: 2,000

Training: Just like how there is very big difference between the enlisted and officers in nature, there is also a huge difference in their training. While the only requirement to enlist is to simply complete the compulsory education, the potential officers have a whole other degree of requirements they must meet. A potential cadet must complete secondary school, but instead of going to university, they’ll apply to the academy. Thats really only the beginning, since the academy is much more rigorous than the normal university.
