So since my character spent a reasonable amount of time in the 501st and was trained there, he might know her. Though that was some time back, dont know if he was the trainer back then

Maybe they trained together? My character isn't that old. He's been a Commando for most of his career, and he was only transferred to the Death Star very recently. But they could totally know each other.

So how did they get to know, how well do they know, how do they stand to each other

I imagine they met during basic training, and were decently close. He could definitely get along with her, since they have similar personalities.

There are differences. She does not share his opposition towards the mass murder. She is merciless. She has ordered the killing of families, children, just because the father/mother was affiliated to rebells.

I can see them getting along quite well, most of the time, but having edges they might bump into every now and then.

My character is no longer in the 501st, though. Death Troopers have no relation to normal strom trooper regiments. They are elite units deployed for special operations, they do not partake in normal combat missions.
