Fantasy Thicker Than Blood: Reboot

Nimensei looked at the vampire. He sighed, he thought all vampires looked as if they were the gods of this world, looking down on everything else.

"If you are so damn curious, go down and watch for yourself"

"I am very tired and i do not have time to play any games of "who can stare the other person down", in there you will find something that is going to be haunting this town pretty soon. There will be at least 7 of those more, there can be any amount of them, but minimum seven. And if you vampires care for your lives you should find a way to kill those. Here, you can take one address for yourselves."

Nimensei took up a pen and paper, scribbled down something on it and then walked up to Abaddon, looked him in the eyes and then simply dropped the note on the ground. He was so tired, and now it was time to sleep.

He started walking away as he realised that he had no place to sleep. Cussing, he turned to the part of the town where they had cheap motels.

"Good work Gregory and Kira, unfortunately we have at least 7 more of these, so get yourself a good sleep and we should be in touch soon again. I really hope that these do not get let out of town soon, if they do we will know by morning"

Limping away from pain he felt his head spin, then without taking more then 5 steps he fell down to the wet ground and did not get up.

(soz for taking a while)

Abaddon Iscariot

"You're more than welcome to go take a look yourself. And your "in such a time" comment isn't necessarily. We're doing quite fine for ourselves thank you" Abaddon's smile grew wider. A storm was coming, and no one knew. "That can change rather quickly, dog." She disgusted him. Savage lycan filth. They should all eradicated, and replaced by true blood. His eyes wandered to the spellcaster who leaned against the wall. He spoke with a tone Abaddon didn't like. Perhaps he should drain him just for fun.

His eyes jumped to the human, who had the impudence to approach him. "If you are so damn curious, go down and watch for yourself" Abaddon's smile faded, and a disappointed look took it's place. He hadn't expected the man to be so insolent, but it was his own shortcoming. He should've expected a human to make that kind of mistake. He completely ignored the note that he'd dropped on the ground, and was about to shoot out with his hand to grab him by the neck, when he collapsed on the ground. Abaddon's malicious smile came back to him, and he even gave out a short chuckle. "Such arrogance. The kid don't even know his own limits."

He stepped over and placed his foot on the kids head, and looked back at the two. "Now, you'll tell me what happened, or the boy dies. Simple, right? Start talking." The last part was devoid of all emotion, and he stared directly at Kira.

Kira just groans at the idea of tasting another one of those monsters. She curses at Nimensei internally for being so cocky with Abaddon, even though she couldn't stand the vampire it wasn't because he was weak. She was quite aware of what he was capable of and knew it probably surpassed that. She turns her attention back on Nimensei as she heard the thump of his body hitting the ground only to see Abaddon's foot over top his head. Her gaze moves up to stare directly back at Abaddon. She was tempted to let him squish the human's head, just to prove that Abaddon had no control over her in this situation. Besides, he was just a stupid human. But no matter how she told herself Nimensei was a stupid human she couldn't stand to let Abaddon crush his head so needlessly. After all at least Nimensei wasn't boring. She stares at Abaddon challengingly for a few moments before letting out an irritated sigh. "In short apparently someone thought it would be a good idea to make hybrids of.... us..... and needless to say we killed it. If you want more information than that, you're standing on the head of the one who can give it to you. I just came to get rid of the damn monster. I will not live in a world where vampires and lycans are in the same form...."

He looked over at abbadon with the foot on Nimiensi's head He was about to pipe up when Kira spoke. "You got your answer. Now kindly remove your foot from his head, I doubt you want blood and bits of skull on your shoes." He uncorked a potion and downed it, minor herbology potion. It numbed the pain of the injury. He walked over to stand next to Kira, "Now there are 7 or more of those things around the city as he said. You're gang has what around 50% of the city, statistically speaking...most of them...are in your backyard. You probably should deal with them soon, not that you care about those under your control...but I'm assuming you care about the revenue they provide...giant monsters tend to be a downer on income. Hell, with all the stories about the bloods I hear...you probably could send those flunkies that...what was the cute phrase your gang uses...'failed to live up to expectations.' to deal with them...two birds one stone...useless gang members dead, and hybrids dead." He said it drier than the Sahara. At those point he wanted to be done with abbadon and have him move on.

Abaddon Iscariot

The edge of his mouth twitched when he heard Kira mention hybrids. Hybrids of vampires and werewolves? Disgusting. It was a completely bizarre idea, but he knew that it had been attempted before, and that what she was saying wasn't unlikely. Her words about not wanting to live in a world with hybrids almost made Abaddon respect her, but when it came down to it, she was only a filthy Lycan, and her words meant nothing. He pondered it for a moment, and sent a glance at the spellcaster when he spoke. Blood and bits of skull. The thought was almost appealing, but he didn't want to act on the impulse, and held himself back.

"Seven huh. Well, I'd better bring this guy with me if he knows so much, then." He said as he bent down and lifted the guy by his collar, and held him like a schoolbag over his shoulder, his feet scraping against the ground. The thought of hybrids disgusted him, but listening to the spellcaster... It sounded like they wanted him to take care of the hybrids. We couldn't have that. He thought to himself for a moment, and smiled when a plan formed in his head. Maybe he could take control of the hybrids with his venom, and even if he couldn't, perhaps Everett could. Abaddon had no clue about the power the spellcaster and the human he was now carrying possessed, but Kira wasn't exactly a pushover. They were hurt, and they only mentioned a single one. Probably meant it was almost as strong as himself. Or maybe even as strong as himself, just stupid. Having 7 of those didn't sound like a bad idea.

He looked over his shoulder at the two, and said "Well then. You played nice enough. See you." before starting to wander off. He noticed a pile of iron beams on the road he was following back to his car, and on impulse picked one up with his free hand and threw it over his shoulder to land over where the two had stood one second ago. He didn't turn his head to see if it landed or not, and instead just chuckled as he heard it loudly crashing down.

He looked over at Kira after Abbadon had picked up Nimensei, he really could do anything He would have been able to take on Abbadon had it not been for the injury, but there were still a few tricks he wanted to save for a rainy day. After he was out of ear shot "God Damn that blood sucking leech... they act like they're aristocracy, but they're just parasites on a body wasting away, trying to drain the last bits of blood..." Then he saw Abbadon pause beside a pile of Iron bars. What is he up to?

The answer came as one of the beams went end over end in the air, heading straight towards Kira and himself. He silently cursed to himself, and focused on the beam. "Magnet pulse..." with that a blueish pulse formed from his hand, radiating towards the iron beam, it already had enough momentum that he couldn't stop it...but, he could at least knock it off course. it swerved a bit to the left and crashed to the ground within at least a yard's distance. The thing would have landed on them! He stared angrily at the vampire in the distance...if looks could kill.

Kira watches as Abaddon walks off with Nimensei, feeling herself tense every fiber of her being to keep her self control. Who did he think he was? Taking people like they were "things" just because they were useful to him. His arrogance was absolutely infuriating to her. She scoffs when he looks over his shoulder acting as if he granted them the gift of life by choosing to walk away. She'd like to see him try and kill her, what a fun little battle that would be.

She was day dreaming of getting her teeth into him before Greg snapped her out of it when he spoke. "And that's to put it nicely...." Kira looks over at the beam on the ground after Greg had knocked it off course. Kira grinds her teeth together angerly trying to keep control, all she wanted to do was chase after him; if she could just get one bite it might actually be worth it. But then again he probably tasted terrible, not to mention with the third in command out of commission and apparently it seemed something was up with the alpha it wouldn't of been good timing. "Of all the god forsaken people in this city and of all the possible timing, it just had to of been him, out of anyone else. At least Everett is sensible Abbadon is simply an asshole for kicks"

Abaddon Iscariot

Abaddon kept walking until he finally got to his car, threw the unconscious boy in the backseat, and drove off. Straight to HQ. As he got there and parked his car he sent a glance at his watch. It had gotten pretty late, he probably shouldn't bother Everett with this right now. Instead, he brought the boy to his personal chambers and simply chained him to a wall which he usually used for less savory reasons, and left him there. He had some administrative things to take care of, and he would return to the boy in time to interrogate him. He was unconscious now anyway, but Abaddon had no intention of getting him medical assisstance.

(Short post is short. I wrote it so ya know Abaddons day is over (and Nimensei's, unless he wants to try something) so It's just Kojo and Mittens left)

9:00 am Sunday morning

Like yesterday there was still a downpour of rain however this time it was more severe. Lightning flashed behind swollen gray clouds and the rain was heavy, so heavy they were like bullets raining from the sky. When the lighting illuminated the city for a split second you could almost feel the electricity run through the air. The weather was also foreboding, same as the atmosphere. It was like the world knew something terrible would happen soon so it sent an ominous message throughout R'lyeh using a storm.

Everett Belphegor:

Everett walked down the hall, his heeled boots tapping against the tiled floor. In his hands was a beat up old book that had seen better days. The pages were frayed and the bonding agent on the spine was molding thus the pages were barely hanging on to the cover. All in all the book was in tatters but it was still eligible...to someone who knew an ancient language that he had a suspicion was not from this world. There were only two things he could read, the inside cover had a latin based phrase scrawled all over it like someone had a mental breakdown or was under a lot of stress, thus scribbling the phrase over and over again. The phrase was ‘C'thulhu fhtagn’ which was some sort of branch of Latin that Everett forgot existed. It took him a while to translate it but roughly translated it read 'C'thulhu waits dreaming.'

Besides that in the back cover there was a page stapled to it that read in the same language:

“'That is not dead which can eternal lie, And with strange aeons even death may die. They were not composed altogether of flesh and blood. They had shape but that shape was not made of matter. When the stars were right, They could plunge from world to world through the sky; but when the stars were wrong, They could not live. But although They no longer lived, They would never really die. They all lay in stone houses in Their great city of R'lyeh, preserved by the spells of mighty Cthulhu for a glorious resurrection when the stars and the earth might once more be ready for Them.”

The rest was in an unknown language which gave Everett a massive headache just trying to translate. Throughout all his years on this earth he never came across the language, it wasn't even latin based it was these odd symbols that were neither Arabic nor Kanji oriented. Now as to where he found this book was a story all on its own. It took Everett years to find. Well he didn't really find it, more like he ‘stumbled’ across it. A man in R'lyeh had it, a rather insane cultist who brought it from his Arabic cult. The man was sporadic and hard to track down. Once Everett found him he was repeating the same phrase over and over again ‘Ph'nglui mglw'nafh C'thulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn’ while clutching the book. He killed him and took the book however the book was heavily protected with charms and everything else in between thus taking even more time to open. Now that it was opened and the little bits and pieces translated he could finally delve into the secrets it contained. From the passage that he could read he already read he had a sneaking suspicion of what was to come but who better to crack this book fully open than a intelligent Fae with a talent for Psychometry. Going back to his penthouse Everett popped open another bottle of wine and took a seat on his couch, things were about to get interesting.

(sorry if the post is poop, I was up all night and as a result I am a bit loopy)

lightning crashed from the sky, the sound of thunder shook the windows. The sound of rain splashing across the window pain was the only other sound. Gregory had been up since 6. He had been in his room brewing potions non-stop. He had replenished his alchemist's fire supply with gusto, mind altering potions had been mixed with normal potions of smoke. Though his main focus were the 2 viscous potions of regeneration were sitting and brewing. The lost art of restoration was, well lost, but herbology did have some curative potions in it's massive arsenal of chemicals, brews, salves, and potions. He looked outside the window, the storm only seemed to get worse. However as bad as it got, God had handed him the greatest artillery piece a high level electromancer could ask for.

Normally that'd be a comferting thought...today it filled him with dread...as if he was going to need it.

Gregory walked over to his nightstand and picked up his phone. Flipping to his contact page he typed out a message to Micah,

"Leg healed, back to 100% efficiency. Though with the storm options for attack and or defense have increased dramatically. Need anything done Boss?"

Hearing the thunder crash throughout the city, Fayde awoke. Immediately, she brought a hand to her head, seeking to soothe the pounding that felt as though it were going to rip her entire being apart. "What the hell--" she thought briefly, wincing with pain as the gash on her back reminded her of its presence, as well. Memories from the previous night came flooding back. How much had she ended up drinking? Fayde wasn't sure. All she knew was that it was much more than she typically dared drink. Hearing the rain pounding down on the building around her, she managed a small grin. The perfect cure for a hangover? Rain.

Having completely forgotten about Micah, Fayde left the room, not even thinking to note whether or not he was still in the room, himself. Though the previous night was mostly a blur, she managed to find her way down to the ground floor, and quickly walked outside. She stood in the rain, relishing the cool relief it brought. Unfortunately, it did little to subdue the throbbing behind her eyes, but she was able to tolerate that, for the time being. With a small shake of her head, she brushed a lock of hair from her eyes.

Shifting into her true form, Fayde quickly scaled one of the nearby buildings. At the top, she stood still, looking out over the city. R'lyeh looked beautiful when illuminated by the blinding flashes of the lightning. The city almost seemed to be without a care, though something was different today. It felt as if a heavy tension hung in the air. As if the entire city were going to change from the currently serene setting she saw before her, and explode into some hellish battleground, at only a moment's notice.

Fayde sighed, and breathed in deeply, feeling the static-charged air course through her lungs. The sensation was invigorating. Smiling to herself, she lay down on the rooftop overlooking the city, her head on her paws, in what could be described as a puppy-like manner. She enjoyed the feel of the cool rain on her body, the damp smell of the air around her, and the slight hum of the static-charged air around her, if only for a moment. Whatever menacing air hung over the city was none of her concern at the moment. Right now, Fayde was intent on finding what solace she could, within the storm.

Abaddon Iscariot

Abaddon walked through the corridors and halls through the large HQ of the Bloods with a permanent smirk glued to his face. His semi-narcissism made him shine of confidence as he walked through the building, but he knew not to ever grow overconfident. He knew his limits. He opened the door to Everett's office, and was met with Everett sitting on the couch. He looked around the room, and then moaned "Tsh, so the Faerie kid isn't here yet? Lazy." He left the door frame and walked forward to the couch and straightened his back. "If he hasn't shown up yet, I have something important I want to tell you." He started pacing in a circle around the room.

"I was down by the docks yesterday, and..." He told the story of how he'd finally gotten rid of Ivar, how he "salvaged" the vampires and sent them back to the Bloods. How Ivar told him about the docks, what he saw down there, and of the boy who he brought back. "... So supposedly this kid knows something about these hybrids, and we can't have them running around, can we? I think they're close to my own level of power." He paused slightly, and looked at Everett. "It seems they want us to take care of them though, and we can't just play their game, can we? I was considering, perhaps your venom is powerful enough to control the beasts."

@Magikarp

Everett Belphegor:

Everett grinned when Abaddon decided to pop by his office and complain about how Micah was tardy. However he raised an eyebrow when he claimed he had something important he wanted to share with him and started pacing in a circle uncharastically. When he started to explain, a couple of things went through Everett's mind. He was glad that Ivar was dead, he was a nuisance and was too full of himself, plus another dead mangy mutt was always a welcomed event. Though he had to admit Lycanthropes had their usefulness and were steadily growing more powerful. The only problem was the intense rivalry between them and Vampires. Everett could only assume it was part of a food chain thing, like a predator and prey deal. What surprised him was the whole hybrids thing. Throughout the years scientist have been trying to combine different species, mostly Lycanthropes and Vampires, but with grotesque results. They simply weren't compatible, though the experiments did give off some interesting results. Usually Everett would just let this play out as it seemed pretty interesting but then again he couldn't let them interfere with his plans.

"Don't worry about Mr. Ivory, I'm sure he'll come around, after all I have an offer for him that he can't refuse," Everett informed Abaddon. "As for this little Hybrid problem...my venom would be strong enough but a Hybrids reaction to it vary, it could kill one instantly, have it under my complete control, or mutate it. It really just depends on how complex they are..."

Honestly Hybrids were just some radical idea that one could create a perfect species, an idea made by ones with a god complex. Everett wasn't going to pretend he didn't have one, but it wasn't' to the extent of trying to make new life, no his was more like a tired old god who thought life as a game that gradually got boring. All in all Everett couldn't be bothered with the Hybrids, he would admit that he was a little shocked to find out that there was still some sort of testing for Hybrids but not so much that it was done in this city, after all in this city anything went.

"Hm, the child you brought doesn't pose a threat..." Everett muttered, thinking about his options. After developing a conclusion Everett snapped his fingers and plastered on a smile. "How about you treat our guest to a drink! Just grab a bottle out of my wine cabinet, there should be some non blood infused wine in there, after his tongue loosens a bit get as much information from him as possible and after do whatever you please with him, I can't be bothered with the likes of him..."

Leaning back Everett took a look at his well maintained nails before looking back at Abaddon, "sounds like you had an interesting day, I'm assuming it was an enjoyable experience, killing Ivar."

@Prizzy Kriyze

Abaddon Iscariot

Abaddon glanced at the wine cabinet as Everett suggested it. He contemplated it for a moment, and then walked over to grab one. He didn't think the boy would be too happy about wine anyway, being nailed to a wall, but being intoxicated might help out. "You're too kind, sir. You're going to run out of these if you give them out to every guest we get." He spun around to face Everett again. "Sounds like you had an interesting day, I'm assuming it was an enjoyable experience, killing Ivar." He smirked. "Yes. It felt quite satisfying finally putting that guy out." He thought back at the moment. He'd almost been surprised by how weak he'd been. Perhaps it was just Abaddon who'd grown a lot stronger. Heh. "Well, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to have a talk with our guest." He walked to the door, spun around on the spot, and said "Sir." before leaving the room.

He opened the door to his room, only to be met with the boy still hanging by the wall. He threw the bottle of wine so it landed in his bed, and stretched his arms as he walked over. He sat down on his bed right in front of the boy, and pulled a small box out of his nightstand. He opened the box, and picked a rather large knife out of it, before backhanding the unconscious man. "Oi! Wake up!"

@Purpl

Micah Ivory

Micah awoke with a jolt when his phone played a familiar tune on the other side of the room. He looked around, and realized he must've fallen asleep in the shower. He rubbed his head, and felt a very faint pounding. Oh right. He'd been drinking. Luckily for him, he almost never got hung over. He got out of the shower and staggered over to his phone, to check his last message. "Leg healed, back to 100% efficiency. Though with the storm options for attack and or defense have increased dramatically. Need anything done Boss?" He raised an eyebrow. What had happened to his legs?

He responded "I need you to report everything that happened yesterday." simply, and then left the shower and got dressed. His hoodie had gotten cleaned and sent back to him, luckily, so everything was back to normal. Except Fayde was gone. He stood in the doorframe and looked at his empty bed. "Shit." He mumbled. He quickly pulled up his phone again, and sent another message to Blitz. "I also need you to follow and ensure the safety of someone." He sent a map with a tracker of her using the camera system to him with the message. He'd do it himself, but he had an appointment with the most dangerous man in the city. Not something that you pass up, exactly.

He made his way through the HQ, and stopped by Ikarons room. He stuck a note to the door, saying:

"I've left for important business, but I want to give you an offer. In exchange for you staying in The Athenaeum as my personal assistant/whatever, I will do what I can to help you fulfill whatever your purpose for coming here is."

He got into his personal Limo, and was driven to the Bloods HQ. The building was impressive, but it wasn't the first time he'd been here. When he walked through the front doors he got a bit of attention, but people seemed to know he was coming, and he wasn't attacked. As he'd been here before, he knew where he was going already. It took a second, but eventually he ended up at Everett's door. He breathed deeply, before slowly opening the door and entering. "Good day, Everett. How are you doing today?"

Kira woke up to the sound of lightning crashing outside. She groans before rolling over to check her phone, seeing no messages from Nimensei she sighs aggravatingly. She didn't exactly want to leave him to become Abaddon's toy and she didn't like what she could only assume what Abaddon what was thinking about the hybrids. She doubted he had any intention of killing them for the sake of humanity unless he got something out of it. She had no idea how she would manage to get Nimensei from Abaddon if he did decide to keep him long term. Abaddon wasn't exactly someone you could pull a fast one on. She throws the comforter off of her and slips out of bed, showering and dressing. She makes her way downstairs to speak with Shirotae, sending a text to Lance on her way to make sure he was alright.

Do you have two arms again or do I need to find a new third?

She muttered under her breath, something along the lines of him being an idiot for it happening in the first place. She makes her way to Shirotae's office, knocking on his door. She sighs, waiting to hear a response from him, trying to figure out how she was going to explain last night to him. She'd experienced some crazy things in this city, but nothing like that. Not only did she want to speak with him about that but she hadn't heard from him or seen Kuro lately which was odd not to see Kuro running around somewhere.

@DeijiiChan

Pain spread across Nimenseis face. He could not even get a sound out, too tired to even move. His head went to the left and then to the right before it stopped and then he felt the mild pumping pain. He opened his eyes and saw the man that had been at the docks yesterday. Disoriented as he was he couldn't remember what happened yesterday. He fel he couldn't really move. Trying to speak he noticed his throat was very dry. He looked at the man and made low growling sounds, then he realized he must sound like a hurt dog. Sudden realization, his wound, he couldn't use his hand to feel. This made him twitch, trying to check his wound. Then he stopped. Giving up and just looking at the man, waiting for his move.

As it turns out, RPs don't get automatically closed anymore when a month has passed with zero activity, so Hai.

Do you know what I think is sad? That this RP (which was hella awesome) died.

Do you know what I think is sadder? That there's people in here who I thought were really cool, but then they stopped coming onto RPN, and now I'll most likely never see them ever again.

I would totally give it a shot to bring this back to life after all this time, but unfortunately Magikarp is one of those people, so we can't.

(Don't mind me, just being nostalgic over cool RPs I've been a part of.)

This was definitely one of my favorite RPs (top three, at least). I was really sad to see it go, too. :(

Along with my Magi. D:

I'd definitely love to get this one back up and running at some point, as well (like right now :P ).

Tacky joke: Well you've only been a part of like three rps anyway.

I miss Magi too :c she's basically disappeared off the Internet now though, which makes me sad. Last I heard from her was near the end of september I think.

I'd love to, Ashface, but I just can't see it without Magi. Do you have any idea for dealing with the absence of the most important writer?

:c

You can always start something like this if you want to. I wouldn't mind being the boss over some rich gang interested in magic again. ;p

I thought about starting one, but I really don't even know where I'd begin. I'm good at coming up with minor details, but I couldn't come up with a whole plot, and stuff.

It'd die within a day. R.I.P.

God, go buy yourself some confidence. If you feel like it's a thing you want to do, send me a message and I'll try to help ya out.
