Hector shook his hand at the newcomer, "How the hell did you get in here?! I outa throw you out." Gregory was mid whisky when he heard what the young spell caster said. Slowly he put the glass down, "Thee saw it too? It is not pretty is it?" Gregory nodded, "in a manner...yes, if your referring to the one that sleeps beneath the city, yes. I saw it's shadow. I saw the gaping hole of rejected thought from an insane man's mind. I saw the emptiness that exists when something so Alien to the psyche, the mind voids it out, so that it becomes a black hole where logic and reason cannot escape, and all that is left of the viewer is a quivering pile of fear and confusion. I saw the shadows of an abyss that had no need to look at you, for it's very EXISTENCE, was an affront against everything good and God made in this world. It it could destroy your mind PASSIVELY.
He tapped on the bar, "I saw but an inkling, and am shaken up, though recovering. I fear what the real experience would do to a man." Hector looked at him, "You tell a yougin' this and not me?" Gregory craned his head over in Hector's direction. "technically I did tell you also right now." "He broke into my bar..." "Yes...spellcasters kinda can do that." Hector gripped his forehead trying to repress some sort of anguish, and failing miserably. "your paying for him, $20..." Gregory slid a bill over, as the barkeep began the process of tiding up for the potential gang leader.
Gregory turned his head to the newcomer, "alright I gotta know...how the hell did one such as you learn about Cthulhu..." Surprisingly enough the lights didn't noticeably flicker. Then again...the lights were always flickering in here.
