Fantasy Thicker Than Blood: Reboot

Dylan wiped his eyes, glancing over at Carlos, then looking into the wind again. He briefly wondered who he was texting. Carlos had a whole congregation of underlings to push around. Of course, Dylan had a few, but he only used them for cover, if at all. He frowned when he realized how much of a lone wolf he was, but he smiled briefly when he remembered he was literally a lone wolf. He let out a single laugh, shaking his head. The world certainly was ironic. He set his palm in his hand and his elbow on the window frame, enjoying the momentary silence(if you pretended the music wasn't there).

He listened to Carlos for a moment, not looking at him until he mentioned the Italian going into hiding. What kind of mob boss tried to go into hiding from Anthanaeum? He shook his head and began messing with the contraption under his sleeve, giving it a new needle and tossing the old one out the window. "I'm okay with quick... Are you going to lead?"

Tiskana wasn't entirely sure if the female vampire she was following had noticed her yet. She wouldn't have been surprised if she had though, whether it be by her scent, the faint sound of her footsteps or otherwise. And then there was the problem of the girl being hostile, which Tiskana expected her to be. Maybe until she told the vampire she had some information for her. Lying would have to be how Tiskana would have to remove herself from any kind of dangerous situation that may crop up now.

And then Tiskana noticed the vampire cast her a smile, and vanish behind around a corner, where she was found sitting on top of a dumpster. Not as classy as Tiskana would've thought, judging by the clothes of the vampire. They looked to be expensive, but Tiskana wouldn't know-she didn't have a taste for fashion. At any rate, Tiskana could see the vampire didn't care about filthying her clothes.

'Hello,' Tiskana said, her voice flat and neutral as she progressed further down the alleyway towards the vampire. She wasn't going to go too close. The blood sucker may leap at her at any moment, and she didn't want to be caught off guard.

The smile on Ambre's face faltered slightly, her eyes loosening there grip. Everett was never swayed. She lifted her wine yet again as Everett spoke. Her eyes shifted out the pristine windows, wandering to the city below. Her face was now cold and just plain bitchy. No point in being light hearted and charming when the man could see right through it. She listened intently as he briefed her, taking it in with a sip of the aged drink.

"Hmm..." She mused, formulating the plan in her head. Show up, use your charm, simple. Her specialty. But there were still some questions. "... And if he refuses to meet with you?" She was pretty positive he would but she had to be prepared. She would do anything to get a job done. She certainly wasn't about to lose her standing as the highest ranked woman of the Blood territory. She wasn't stopping at third in command either. Let's just say that if Mr. Abaddon was to have a little accident, she wouldn't be to crushed.

She rose back up from the luxurious sofa, assuming the stance she had when she arrived in his presence, only now she held the bottle of wine in her hands, watching him, eyebrow raised.
"Should I wait for Abaddon, will he be accompanying me as well?" She inquired.

Nimensei stopped. He stood before a large, blood red door. He looked at it with a confused look.

"Why would someone want a door this red in the city? Does he cry for attention..oh hihihhh i meant did he" he thought for himself when placing the stolen key in the lock. When twisting it did not work, he sighed and pulled it out, spat at the key and removed the dried blood on it. Placing the key back in to the lock and twisting again.

*Click*

The door was open, he pushed down the handle, gently, and made his entry into the house standing two stories high with a basement. The neighborhood was one of the richest, the yard was huge, the grass was green and fluffy. No where else in the city of R'lyeh was the grass this green and fluffy. He went in, the hallway smelled of oak and honey, the planks on the floor being polished with something that made it shiny. He bent down, dragged his finger on the floor and felt a smooth surface. He admired the ex doctors taste of interior.

"Enough with this! He is dead, no reason to give him praise when you have his blood all over you." Nimensei gave a foul expression, it was not his thought that had entered the mind. He knew who it was, and he knew he was right as well.

Standing up, he took a few steps forward, entering the room on the bottom floor, a kitchen. He kept on looking until he found the study of Mr.Mutton. Since he did not want anyone to believe someone had done this job to steal information, he had to make it look like something else. At first, he pulled out a magnet from his pocket and dragged it across the stationary computer, then the laptop. Then, he smashed them both, and pushing over many more things in the house before taking the papers that the doctor had as well. His mission was to remove all object about the research, wasn't said how or destroyed, so he as curious as he was took all the papers with him. It could be something good, who knew.

Leaving the house it looked like a robbery, everything of value missing, things were smashed and no more information about the cross-species were existent, in the house at least.

Coming back to Whiskey street, he felt like something was missing. Ah, yes, alcohol is what he needed. He stopped around where he had met the masked man before, looking around for a good place to stop by. He was not picky at all, any shady place that looked like it would have a bar fight was something he would enjoy. Even though he had to be careful not getting caught killing anyone when there were, too many, witnesses. Almost in the center, near the old statue that had been built before the city was a bar called The Shoggoth Surprise, it looked exactly like what he was looking for. Taking an extra look at the statue, the faceless man standing tall in the midst of the dark city, he wondered the story behind it. For being a ruthless killer, he had a keen eye for information, perhaps that was the other ones merit. Even though he did not like the other him much, there were some parts that were good to have.

Making a very silent entry, placing him self in the first corner in to the right, behind the door if it was opened, he sat and watched the people in there. Most of them looked like nothing, but then again in Nimenseis eyes everybody looked like nothing, and knowing this he didn't underestimate the people in here. Anybody could be another assassin, but they all looked so poor and sad, like the had no joy for life, for killing and none the less for alcohol!

He went to the bar, ordering a Bloody Mary, seeing a guy sitting and drinking, or sipping on his whiskey at the bar table.

The guy was looking on a girl, he seemed to be, a little too interested in her, his eyes looking viciously on her as if he wanted to tear the clothes of her and take here when everybody looked. Smirking, head twitching he let out a little laugh and went back to his dark corner of the bar.

"Yeah..." Demon said as the two got out of the car and began looking both ways for oncoming hover boards and ground cars the like. Demon looked from the bar and shifted his eyes across the busy street. He saw Tiskana go into an alley, seemingly following a woman. "Shes one of ours..." Demon said low, squinting through his ray bans. It was hard to make out since it was dark and the lights were grungy but he recognized the werewolf girl from a couple months ago. She should be selling dope and keeping watch for the territory, or under the tutelage of one of the Athena Assassins. "... Flynn... do me a favor and keep an eye on her. If she gets into trouble help her out. Ill be in the bar taking care of business. When she finishes lets make sure she gets home ok.... see you in a couple."

@Leijonion

Demon quickly dodged traffic and separated from Flynn and went on the sidewalk leading to the bar. He didnt make eye contact with Maher or Naminesai as he walked inside the bar. He walked in, and glanced around.... Blitz was there as expected. At the bar. Demon made his way past him a couple stools down. Demon smiled joyfully and asked for a beer. He turned on his seat and looked around once more. He didnt recognize Ikaron, but he scanned the place and saw some familiar faces. You had Joe Dafar who lived on the eastside. He ran a small haitian gang who was into voodoo, and supposedly ate their enemys to gain their power. They were creepy guys just like him. He sat alone looking deep into his whiskey glass... probably thinking of who to eat next. Then you had Mary "Lucky" Lou. She ran the Lizzies a gang exclusively of women... they were probably the gang with the biggest obsession of torture. Demon sighed. What a fucked up world he lived in. He looked towards the door. Namin the assassin was in. Demon took this moment to go use the bars bathroom.

He jumped off his stool and swaggered over to the bathroom. He looked at himself, satisfied with his clean face, but not happy with his slightly tattered clothes from the fight earlier. "Yeah... warm welcome." He fixed the cuffs and gave himself a kiss face in the mirror before coming back out. He went to the bartender and whispered "The toilet is clogged bro." He said with fake concern. "Oh not again!" Hector slid passed Demon, with demon following him. Once both were in the bathroom. Demon locked the bathroom behind himself.

"Hey. Theres nothing wro-" Suddenly demon grabbed him by the neck and shoved him against the bathroom tiled wall. Demon looked at him blankly through his glasses. If Hector listened closely he could hear Demons music in his ears. "Alright Hector. I dont want any problems bro." Demon said calmly while still holding him. As he did so he pulled his personal cellphone from his pocket and flipped it open. "So youre going to call Mancini. Youre going to call him over here, and youre gonna tell him, politely, that the Athenas want their money. He owes for that job ok?" Demon let him down and handed him the phone. He leaned against the counter and pulled out his metal cylinder, draggin out the last of his blunt and placing it in his lips. He then pulled his golden uzi from his jacket and pointed it at poor hector. He began dancing slightly to the music as Hector made the call....

<Micah Ivory>

A few raindrops ran across the outside of the large window. Micah leaned his head on his palm, and tapped the windowsill with his other hand while looking out the large windows. He was thinking. Thinking about lots of things. Gang activity hadn't been high recently, so he thought about more important things. Like, for example, the city. R'lyeh was an interesting city. Micah had always thought so, but right now... It felt like he missed something big about it. Something huge. He had no reason for believing this, but throughout the years he'd learn to trust his instincts. His tapping stopped, and he quickly spun around in his office chair to face his desk. He quickly ruffled through some papers, and finally unveiled his laptop. Good old laptop. Very useful for many things. "Thinkthinkthinkthinkthinkthink..." His behaviour seemed almost manic, but this was usually how he dealt with thinking. He snapped his fingers, and loudly exclaimed "Alright!"

After a few hyperactive taps on the laptop itself, he finally had a clear picture of what he wanted to do, exactly. He had to set a couple things right. He took a deep breath, and pushed a button on his keyboard. "Oi, whoever is working as secretary right now, I need you to send Dylan and Carlos to me. I don't know, text them or something, tell them it's important." Out of old habit he ran through a couple of files and checked his GPS trackers. "Alright, sir. What should I tell them exactly?" a cute voice rang through the room. Micah leaned his head to his side, and his facial expression was everything but nice. It may be friday, and it may be late, but when it came to important business, Micah wasn't one to hold his temper. "Tell them; If you do not show up in my office within the next ten minutes, you'll be drinking that vodka through a straw." ".... Very well, sir."

He quickly ruffled through a bunch of files in one of his drawers, and pulled a couple papers out. Starting to go through nearby security cameras, he finally found one with an almost fulfilling view. He couldn't spot either of his subordinates, but he saw something else that was very interesting. Very interesting indeed. He pushed the button again. "And, uh.. Tell them to bring Blitz with them. Tell them to say that 'The king is watching'. I think he'll know what that means." A couple seconds of silence passed. "... Certainly, sir." He laughed. He liked this new secretary. She sounded cute, and called him sir. She should get a promotion.

@BrownBear

@Leijonion

"... He'll be here in a moment..."

Hearing that, Demon got his phone, nodded in thanks and left the bathroom. He checked his phone and received a text. To get back to HQ and bring Blitz with them. Demon could only fit two in his car so he had to think. Demon spoke low as he walked past Blitz "The king is watching homie." Demon smirked as he winked at Kira before stepping out. He finished his blunt and walked down the sidewalk to where Flynn his third in command was waiting. "Listen man. We dont have much time. I might get there late. Boss wants us there with Blitz asap. Take Alexis and get there with Blitz. Ill find a way there myself. I have to get that money back though.... take care of her. We've got important shit in there. Valuable Europe shit man." Demon slipped the keys in Flynns hand and crossed the street to the statue. He stood there, leaning against the statue... waiting for Mancini or the money.... either would do... however he needed the latter...

Everett Belphegor:

Everett didn't say anything more when her composure lost some of it's conviction. It seemed his subliminal message got through to her, he wouldn't stand or be tricked by her false and sugary ways. Although amusing he found it to be overdone sometimes, besides he could see right through her so there was really no reason for keeping up the act around him. Ambre now had a bitter and sullen look on her face but Everett didn't care, as long as she knew what she was doing and understood him.

"Than next week I'll just send Abaddon in with an even more expensive bottle of wine and sending two of my higher ups would be threatening and imposing. Just you will suffice," Everett answered calmly.

Waving her off with a flick of his well manicured hand Everett snapped and some classical music came on. Just one of the many technological advancements that this era had seen. Bach's suite No. 1 in G major started flowing through his room, it was a delightful cello piece and one that gave off a sense of sophistication that Everett could appreciate. Hopefully his request would be accepted and he could have a chat with their leader, the laid back Fae that people called ‘The Librarian.’ Well he was laid back to most people, but with his enemies...that was a different story. Still he held a wide selection of information and if someone had the money they could practically obtain the secrets of the world, to an extent.

<Abaddon Iscariot>

Abaddon suddenly burst through the door to his beloved king. He was late, and he knew he was late, and it was a bit awkward. He was surprised by the music, and just stood there looking like a fool for a moment. For some reason, he'd expected something more... Upbeat. He shook his head and managed to clear his thoughts. "I'm terribly sorry, my liege. I happened to be a tiny bit preoccupied. Not to worry, though! I have handled it, and am now here to assist in whichever way you require me to!"

He always assumed the overly formal role when he found the situation a bit awkward. His shirt was slightly messed up, and there was a bloodstain just below his chin. He quickly straightened his lapels to hide the less-than-stellar outfit, and noticed Ambre in the room. His favourite third-in-command. He sent her a wink before turning back to Everett.

"Either way, what is going on? I've served you for over three hundred years, but I swear you've only called us so urgently once or twice before." Of course, he hadn't been called very urgently at all, just like normal, unfortunately he'd been having some fun with an easily sweet-talked young human. She'd been delicious, and also very fun. And pleasing. Very good catch, to be honest. Would've shared, but he was not a very altruistic man.

(Awful? Yeah, sorry about that.)

A loud ring coupled with a vibration came from the device that Ikaron found in a trashcan. Quickly retrieving it from a small bag attached to his waist, he flipped open the phone and pressed all the buttons frantically. The phone displayed 'call accepted' and Ikaron could he hear a faint voice. After putting the phone to his ear, he heard a voice calling out for a 'Mister S' He replied frankly without thought "No, this is Ikaron." "W-What do you mean? Where's Mr.S." The voice on the other end stuttered. Ikaron finished his drink and answered with complete sincerity "I do not know. I found this object in a metal container."

Nimensei sat there in the corner, drinking his Bloody Mary and keeping an eye on everybody.

"Oh boy have this place become crowded! We, we might actually have some..heheheheh, killings here tonight, yes more blood would be perfect, we want to taste it don't we?"

He let his tongue lick the glasses top round and round while thinking about the people here. Some, he had seen before during contracts and others were just known high-ups.

The door opened again, almost slamming Nimensei on the shoulder. He looked at the back of a rather big, black man...wait. There was something familiar with this man.
Dreads. Hadn't he seen that before? A flash before his eye, a car slowing in next to a bunch of killers, watching them and perhaps talking to them, then speeding off down Whiskey Street. Yes, this was definitely him again. He wondered what he did here. The guy went to the bar, ordered a whiskey and barely drank it, just sitting there with it in his hands.

He glanced on the people next to them as well. Another person who he had some time seen on a picture when getting a contract, not the contract itself but something lying on a desk, he believed it might have been in
The Athenaeum, but he wasn't sure. But he believed the man was a mob boss, an italian mob boss or some high underling to the real boss, but he thought he was dead, the whole gang should be dead.

A tingling sensation went from his fingers to his spine.

"
Something is going to go down, i must keep an eye on these people, but who do i follow? Who do i watch, gah!!!! I am not superhuman, that is my problem, we, we are not, we should have more eyes..but no..i don't. The first to move, that is the one i will follow"

The dreaded man arose, going in the way of the bathroom. Nimensei arose, feeling a need to follow the dreaded man. He went outside, turned left, left and again left to end up behind the bar, where the toilets where. If he was unlucky, all he would here is how the dreaded man takes a piss or if more unlucky, a big dump. He hoped it was neither. The windows were closed, so the sound coming from the inside was low, especially since the music was pounding as well.

The music had gotten so much worse in the last years, it was as if people banged a trashcan and then remixed it. But the vamps liked it, for some strange reason.

Trying to listen to what happened inside the bathroom he heard some words.

"
...clogged toilet...."

A huge sigh after that, and Nimensei was disappointed, but he stayed.

He then heard some ruckus from inside, as if something or someone was thrown inside.

Tension grew in Nimensei.

"So......to c..l Ma..c..ni. You...to call....here,...youre..... him..... that..... Atnas....money......owes.... job ok?"

Smirking, he ran around the corner trying to get back in to the bar. When trying to enter the door, he ran in to the dreaded man.

*Acting a bit drunk*

"Ahh, so, hehe, so sorry my friend, we just drank too much, needed piss. Bathroom was occupied, haha. I'm sorry! I'll buy you a drink? Please let me buy you a drink!"

But as the dreaded man went out, he thought he got away without him suspecting anything. He smiled again, and just because he thought he had done such a good job, he went back in and bought another bloody mary. He had no idea who the dreaded man had spoken too, it could be anyone in here. He needed to keep an eye on the people that is nervous. Perhaps he is lucky tonight.

He took the bloody mary and drank it in a few seconds, ordering a new one and placing himself back at his corner.

Claudia cocked an eyebrow at the girls introduction. She seemed very cautious as she talked to Claudia, keeping her distance and not expressing any emotion. Whatever. She was an expert at deception and acting, so she suspected it wouldn't have been too difficult to loosen her up a bit. Claudia twirled a finger through her hair, her tone playful and sensual as she said, "My, aren't you a cute one! I haven't seen anything like you in a while now. Maybe we can have some fun later." She hopped down from the dumpster and crossed her free arm across her chest. Who knows? Maybe this girl was someone important and she'd be able to pull some important info from her is she was lucky.

Claudia examined the clothes that she herself was wearing, checking to see if any damage had befallen them. A short, knee long tight skirt, a tight corset that was cut low enough to be enticing to wandering eyes. It wasn't her favourite, but it was one that seemed to suit the target she was after that night. Of course, by the looks of it, the girl in front of her didn't exactly care, but it never hurt to try. Claudia rotated her hips, showing off the sides of her body as she did some small talk. "What do you think of my clothes? I think they really help accentuate my natural looks."

She looked the werewolf up and down, then said, "Personally, I think you could do much better than what you have. With the right get up guys and girls from all over would be all over you." Her tone was once again playful. It was rule number one of getting info from a person. First become their friend and sweet talk them, then inquire about what you want. "We can talk more about that later, but first let's get down to business, shall we?" Her free hand moved to her chin, her smile still present. "Why were you following me? Most people who see a lady carrying a severed head would turn around and pretend they didn't see anything. Why not you?"

@Zakkol

Tiskana wasn't stupid. She knew she wasn't. What seemed strange to her though, was the way that the vampire was trying act like the very physical embodiment of sweetness and light, when she was very much a creature that preyed from the shadows. Or something like that. Tiskana wasn't very good with vampires. Sure, she'd had to talk to them on occasion before. That was something that came with having to supply information to various people. Even if said people were really rather unsavory types of beings. Either way, Tiskana was really rather insulted that the vampire thought she was to be fooled by a few soulless compliments.

Deciding to play along, Tiskana spoke up again, this time prepared to say quite the bit more to the girl. Well, she didn't look particularly old, and Tiskana really wasn't sure of her age. She could be fifty. She could be twenty. It wasn't the most obvious thing ever. But Tiskana was having to be cautious about what she said here, as to not come off as rude.

'Oh, well,' Tiskana began, trying to keep her voice as flat and plain as she could possibly pull off. She wasn't afraid of the vampire, for she had her violin. Why the girl hadn't asked as to why she was carrying around a string instrument was beyond Tiskana. 'I was minding my own business, and then I noticed you sawing off the head of a dead corpse. Not something you see everyday, is it now?' Tiskana asked, her monotone wavering slightly. 'And so I decided to follow you. To see what you were doing.'

@cojemo

Ambre's tongue was placed firmly in between her teeth, her brows trying so hard not to furrow in anger. The kings curt dismissal left her practically irritated. In the midst of her organized anger, in came monsieur Abaddon, disheveled and rambling. Her eyebrow certainly didn't lower for him, her expression reading, "really..?"

With a wave of Everett's hand, she was dismissed, and now walking out, facing the Kings right hand man. She wanted to push him out the window but simply looked him up and down, none to amused.

Back in her room, Ambre immediately ordered a guard in. "Take this, put it somewhere, bring It to me tomorrow," she hissed, shoving the bottle of wine in his arm. "And don't drop it..."

Tomorrow she would carry out the mission, a simple meeting to set things in motion. As the spy she didn't really need a briefing on the information game. She'd probably torcher some little grunt by making them act as her driver. It would be easy and she'd revel in knowing it started something.

Everett Belphegor:

Everett shook his head slightly when Abaddon rushed in. He looked flustered, rumpled, and all around a complete mess. It also seemed that his terse way of dismissing Ambre made her a bit irritated as there was a bit of tension in her facial movement. Of course when Abaddon came in she looked unimpressed with his performance and then stalked out of the room. It was amusing to see her mood dramatically shift like that. Amusing, but wearisome. He'd have to have a little 'talk' with her about her attitude problem later. Listening to Abaddon’s apology and then watching him straighten himself out Everett couldn't help but chuckle a bit at the situation.

"Really Abaddon, while it is true you have been serving me for over three hundred years that doesn't excuse you from being late, you left me waiting for so long I thought you'd forgotten about me," Everett told Abaddon. Before that he walked up to Abaddon and gently grabbed his chin, making it so their gaze came in contact with each other. Everett was also looking into his deep red eyes as well. "If that happens again there will be some punishment...but otherwise take a seat. I'll pour you some wine and explain everything."

Letting go of his chin Everett walked back to the couch and poured Abaddon a glass of his ridiculously expensive wine in an equally expensive crystal glass. "By the way have you heard the rumors that have been flying around lately?" Everett asked casually.

Like Abaddon stated he has been serving him for over three hundred years. Abaddon has earned about half of his trust from the numerous years he devoted to him. Although it was half it was still a feat of it's own as Everett rarely trusted anyone and for someone to earn even half of his trust meant that the person worked hard for it.

@Prizzy Kriyze

Her meal finished, Fayde decided tonight would be a great night to treat herself to a drink, or two (or twelve). She could use a few (or twelve) shots of whisky after such a long day. Additionally, it was always nice to see how she was faring on any given night, in terms of attractiveness. Though Fayde wasn't one to call attention to herself very often, the bar was one place she didn't mind it so much, as the many failed pickup attempts by people of varying races were always welcome. Besides, who didn't like whisky?

Making her way to her favorite bar, she dropped from the rooftops into a nearby alley, immediately shifting into her human form, as she landed. Though the disguise wouldn't really fool anyone who'd ever encountered a Lycanthrope, it seemed as though the majority of the city was still under the impression that such things were make-believe. Better safe than sorry, yes?

Fayde strolled up to the bar, taking a spot at her usual seat in the corner, and flagging the bartender down. She ordered a single shot, hoping the other patrons of the bar would be friendly enough to help her get a buzz (or plastered. Plastered works).

The shot arrived, and Fayde quickly tossed it back, enjoying the burn as the alcohol worked it's way through her system. "How are we doing tonight, Miss?" The bartender had returned already. Fayde being somewhat of a regular, it wasn't surprising that the bartender was able to recognize her, even in such poor lighting.

She nodded to him. "Hey, there. Can't complain too much. Just a bit of a long day. Figured I'd relax some, after a hard day's work." The bartender (she couldn't quite remember his name) nodded in turn, indicating for her to flag him down if she needed anything else.

Turning slightly in her seat, Fayde examined the rest of the patrons in the bar. It was definitely busy, considering there wasn't any sort of special occasion she was aware of. Who knows. Maybe tonight won't be so bad. She winced at a sudden pang of loneliness, suddenly remembering she'd been introduced to this bar by him.

@Anyone. :D

Tai finally had time to carry out his actual mission that day.

Even though Tai was second in command of the Skins, he didn't have much say in non - combat operations. Tai was the premier assassin of the Skins, and his sheer skill and efficiency placed his value incredibly high. If there was ever a target of high importance, it was Tai that was sent. Tai's name was rather well known to the Bloods due to this, but none ever directly knew what Tai looked like, as Tai was careful to cover his tracks and any witnesses would be dead.

Currently, Tai was leaning back against the "spot" of the Shoggoth Surprise. It was out here in this shadowed opening enclosed by a worn down metal fence that most illicit dealings went around. Tai stood perfectly still, making almost no sound. His target was a vampire that was known to be a vicious vampire, apparently a former mercenary that went mad after being turned, that only targeted women and viciously slaughtered them. It was unknown whether this vampire had any dealings with the Bloods or not, but this was highly unlikely, as the Bloods kept rather tidy and quiet about their killings. The reason that Tai was after this vampire was because he was not only a killer bound to the will of the Skins, but also of the general human populace. Tai often took requests from wronged or oppressed humans that suffered and wanted revenge. Most of them were too poor to pay for Tai's services, but those that had powerful drives went to great lengths to gain the money to hire Tai.

The previous day a haggard and elderly woman had begged Tai to grant her justice, as her daughter had been brutally tortured and dismembered by this vampire. She had sold off all her assets to gain the money to hire Tai, and Tai accepted her request without hesitation. Tai did not know what became of the woman after this, but he quite accurately surmised that she had committed suicide as she had no more reason to live if she was willing to go to such extreme lengths to guarantee her revenge.

Tai's informants had told Tai that this vampire spent late nights at the Shoggoth Surprise to scout out prey. The vampire would use his looks and words to seduce an unknowing woman and then take her out through the back exit to the "spot" where he would then knock her unconscious and kidnap her. Tai had confirmed with his own eyes that the vampire was already chatting it up with a young woman not much older than nineteen. Tai guessed that the vampire would appear within a minute.

Tai was correct, as his senses and perception were incredibly sharp to the point where one would doubt whether Tai was actually human or not.

The vampire roughly opened the rusty back door of the bar and excitedly walked out, the same young girl that Tai had seen was obliviously trailing him.

Tai was concealed by the shadows of the roof of the bar casting a dark sheen over him, which, combined with Tai's incredible stillness, made him as recognizable as a rock.

The vampire closed the back door behind him and then immediately struck the girl on the head with a powerful punch, knocking her out.

Tai let this happen because he did not want any witnesses. It was better for the girl to be unconscious so she wouldn't scream.

The vampire that Tai saw was truly an example of a depraved monster. His eyes were wide with anticipation, and a thin stream of drool dripped from the side of his open mouth.

Scanning the body, Tai recognized that the vampire had a trained and muscular body. The vampire was also massive, being over 6'3 and probably weighing more than two hundred pounds. Tai would have to take this behemoth like he had dispatched so many of his opponents that were much bulkier than him; with the right strikes to the right spots.

"Greetings, I would suggest you divert your attention to me now lest you wish to die even sooner than projected" Said Tai with a calm, still voice as he calmly walked out of the shadows with even steps.

"The fuck you want little man. Get the fuck out of here or else I'll tear you to pieces." growled the vampire menacingly. A slight slur at the end of the vampire's sentence indicated that he was slightly drunk.

Tai did not flinch as he walked even closer. Tai stopped when he was six feet away from the vampire; the perfect distance for him.

"Let's see you try to tear me to pieces filthy monster" replied Tai with a snide tone so as to aggravate the vampire into attack.

The vampire immediately lunged towards Tai, obviously seeing him as an easy opponent as Tai was both human and almost seventy pounds lighter than him. This underestimation was to his lethal mistake.

The vampire lunged with his arms tensed to his sides. The vampire obviously intended to knock Tai down with either his right or left arm, giving him unpredictability, but this would only be effective if he was faster than Tai. To the vampire's surprise, Tai was much faster than him. Tai swerved low and cocked his head back, letting the muscular arm of the vampire pass him. Simultaneously, Tai pushed himself off the ground low with his right leg, placing himself behind the vampire to his right side. At this time, the vampire was just finishing his lunge, and was still looking forward, just beginning to realize that Tai was not there anymore. In the split second of opening that the vampire gave him, Tai had centered his balance on his left foot and, using it as a grounded pivot, unleashed an incredibly powerful kick that hit the vampire's right side cleanly and powerfully. Tai felt the satisfactory feeling of ribs crumbling before his leg as the Vampire let out a yelp of surprise. The vampire immediately backed off from Tai to regain his composure and ground. He clutched his right side while breathing heavily.

"I felt two broken ribs. Having trouble breathing right? Every breath is painful yes? Know that your pain is nothing compared to that which you inflicted with impunity." remarked Tai with an unchanging monotone. The vampire before him was obviously combat experienced, as he did not just fall to the ground after such an injury and even knew to regain ground after suffering a counter attack.

"Don't fuck with me human, I can heal this off with enough time but I'll have the pleasure of doing that after I wring that smug face off your goddamn neck!" yelled the vampire as he rushed in for another attack. This time, the vampire was careful.

The vampire had his right arm extended in front of him perpendicular to his body as a guard while his left arm was pulled back with muscles tensed, ready to unleash a powerful strike once the vampire was in range and was confident enough to land an attack.

Tai could play safe and kill the vampire slowly and painfully with ease by constantly dodging and weaving between attacks and counterattacking on vital points of the vampire's body, or he could attempt to end this fight now with a small amount of risk involved. Tai decided to stop wasting time and maybe get in a few drinks by ending this fight now.

Tai assumed an offensive fighting stance that made him appear to focus on the vampire's left side, which had the retracted punch ready. The vampire would gain confidence as in this situation, the one with more weight and total strength would win as he could hit Tai with a wide range left hook which would be quite hard to dodge. But this was entirely intended. Tai immediately saw the grin the vampire unconsciously made as he realized Tai's apparent "mistake" and charged in with bolstered confidence.

Tai's mouth very slightly curled in the semblance of a smile as he saw this.

As soon as the Vampire's readied left arm began to move forward to strike Tai, Tai shifted his center of balance from his left to his right. He then grounded his right foot and pushed himself with his left foot, but made sure to have his right foot stay on the ground. The result was that Tai near immediately shifted his entire body to the vampire's right side with minimal movement. The vampire's right side was guarded though as his right arm was raised to block strikes to his upper body, but Tai would easily get through this. As soon as Tai's right leg touched the ground, he placed his balance upon it and placed his left leg forward right in front of the vampire's right leg. This forced the vampire to trip over Tai's extended left leg as Tai had expected, and the vampire instinctively dropped his right arm and placed if in front of him to stop the incoming fall. This would prove to be fatal as Tai immediately took this oportunity to ram his fist directly into the vampire's neck with full force.

The vampire collapsed on the ground as he clutched his neck, desperately attempting to breathe.

"I completely crushed your trachea and larynx. That takes around fourty pounds of force. A trained fighter can output around nine hundred pounds of force with a punch, I can out put around one thousand five hundred pounds of force. You won't breathing any more." said Tai as calmly as if he was stating a boring fact.

"As a vampire, you will not die from your severe injury, but you will suffer constant asphyxiation now, an endless hell if you will. I will put you out of your misery." said Tai.

Tai unstrapped one of his stakes from his back and removed the black cloth that he used to wrap them with. The stake was caked in the blood of the previous vampires he had slain, and, when the vampire on the ground saw the stake, he immediately began to desperately attempt to crawl away in fear for his life. Tai placed his right food upon the vampire's back and stopped him from squirming. He lifted the stake high above his head and rammed it down through the vampire's heart with trained, mechanical movements.

The vampire wheezed out a torrent of blood as he died.

Tai immediately dusted his hands off and wiped them on his rather unique clothing. Another piece of trash disposed of that day. Tai decided that he was in the mood for a drink or two of some light alcohol and stepped back into the Shoggoth Surprise with an expression that would have made a regular passerby think that Tai had gone to work, had a regular day, and came to the bar bored; well, perhaps this WAS an accurate representation of what Tai had done.

Nimensei sat in his corner for a few minutes. Thinking over what he had heard.

"Let's see....something about A call....a call to someone, Macni? M..Ma....MACINI! Wait now, this was also in the files in the librarians, or The Athenaeum as they called themselves...What did they want with him? Something about money. Do they owe him money? Do he owe them money? If it is the later, then he is definitely in trouble, since there was something about a job i bet that they have an unfinished quarrel with this man, and they need to settle it. So, will they search up him?"

While sitting and thinking for himself, another one entered the bar. He kept a keen eye on the door since if anybody else left that would or could be the person Mr.Dreads had been talking to. But this time it was someone who entered. It was a girl. With, black hair and fair skin, she looked pale but she wasn't a vampire. Why is he even looking at her? He has more important stuff to do, "where...where were we?"

If it wasn't enough with her coming in and stealing his attention for those seconds, she had the nerve to place herself at the table HE was sitting at, what did she think she was doing? He sat here, why...why did she.....gah! His head twitched, and he tilted it and looked at her with confusing eyes while she ordered a whiskey shot, who in their right mind took whiskey that way.

He looked at her, just kept looking with his head tilted. Some people he did not understand. But at the same time, he couldn't let his eyes of her.

"
Pull yourself to pieces you filthy idiot"

"Leave...Leave, not now, i have important...we have important things to think about, don't disturb...leave..now."

He tilted his head back straight up. The nuisance of having to deal with this idiot now was impeccable.

"Mission finished, go home, you'll get yourself in to trouble."

"No, no..no no. There will be no trouble, heheeeeee, only blood. And your...love..information, yes. I'm not stupid, i gather information for us. This will be fun, hihiiiiihh, just sit and watch"

The door slammed open again. It almost startled Nimensei, as he flew up from his seat. The girl looked at him and he felt himself, BLUSH? No, no this was not true. He did not blush.

"
As lonely as you are, i suppose you are looking for someone to buy you drinks? Yes, that must be it, and seeing you want to get drunk fast shotting whiskey, as the gentl...no who am i kidding, as the man i am i shall help you with that."

Without even getting an answer from the girl, he went to the bartender and asking for a bottle of his finest whiskey, that was within considerable price range, and some Jaeger.

"You will handle it? HAH, look at yourself, you let a girl get to you. What about your, oh so important mission? Vermin. That is what you are."

With a grin on his face he took the bottles back to the table with a handful of glasses.

The man who had entered the bar looked rather full of himself, proud and happy. He felt an urge to draw some attention away from himself, letting other drink more than he did.

"
You! Yes, you, redhair! Come join me, i have just gotten paid and i want to drink to celebrate, you look like a man that need to celebrate as well! And this lovely girl here at the tables needs to get drunk too so it seems, so what about we have a nice round of games to get smashed!?"

He smiled as gentle as he could, looking as kind as he could while making a gesture for the man to the table where the woman sat.

"Oh, name's N" he said while he sat down, putting the bottles to the table and the glasses with a joyful clang.

If the man joined him or not did not matter, but it would be better with more people.

The voice that Ikaron was speaking to had started to sob and ramble about him getting killed for something. "Stop crying. Thou art a man not a child." Ikaron said trying to calm the strange man, but sounded ridiculous with his old word usage. The man tried to stifle his laughter, yet it was too funny for the situation. The voice let out in a flurry of contradicting emotions "I'm going to die from that 'ye old' english, before Mr.S gets me!" Ikaron felt like he was being made fun of, but couldn't understand exactly why. Confused from the conversation with the object, He ended the call after saying "I wish thee luck in finding thy friend."

When Ikaron turned his attention to the people around him he sensed high energies from various strange characters. 'If there was a fight...' his thought trailed off as a man grabbed his shoulder. A large bald man smiled down at Ikaron "That's my spot." Thoroughly confused, he just stared at him as if he might leave soon. The man didn't even wait, he quickly launched his fist Ikaron's face. Before the fist connected, the man pulled back his hand and cradled it and began yelling curses. His hand was easy to crush compared to the harsh training in the forest. Telekinesis has always been his favorite to use, but teleporting is a close second. After a quick spin in his chair to face the bartender, he called for another whiskey with a relaxed tone.

Tai narrowed his eyes at the random man's remark that invited him for a drink. Tai did not understand how the man knew whether Tai was happy or not. Tai had felt a numbing sense of nothingness throughout this whole day. The only times he had felt alive and happy were when he was in the midst of combat, though today's ordeals could hardly be called combat. It was more a one sided slaughter.

Tai gazed for a second or two at the man with his cold, unchanging face.

"I will honor your request, but I have no need to celebrate. I just came back from a regular day of work without anything worth merit, but you seem to have something worth celebrating." said Tai.

Tai instantly knew something was quite off, no body was this friendly in this city especially at this hour. Unless the man was a fool, he would be far more reserved than this. Nonetheless, Tai felt inclined to entertain him.

Tai sat down beside the man and yawned with boredom. He took a glass and filled it around a quarter of they way through with alchohol and stared at the transparent liquid in the glass.

Without looking up, Tai remarked, "So what brings you and her here to celebrate friend?" said Tai with an emotionless tone. No vampire spy or agent would ever be able to tell anything hidden behind Tai's words by his facial expression, bodily hints or voice tone. All three remained constant and unchanging.

Nimensei looked at the man. What was he? A bad liar?

No, he must just have missed one spot to clean off. He was a very good liar, but the small bloodstain on his left sleeve gave it away, it was fresh. When it came to blood, Nimensei knew the colours of it far too good.

Tilting his head and fixing his eye on the stranger he simply said:

"So..hehehhh, i guess that is cranberry juice on your sleeve, and water, not sweat on your neck?"

"It's okay, we are all a bunch of liars in this city, and to why i am celebrating!? Well, carrying out your job perfectly and getting paid for it is one damn good reason to celebrate don't you think!?"

He poured a big glass of whiskey and slid it to the stranger, pouring one to himself as well.

"Bottom's up?"

He looked at his glass, this would be tough, trying to stay sober when drinking this amount of alcohol.

The glass was put to his mouth, and he started drinking deep sips of the whiskey. It actually didn't taste half bad!

He didn't look if the stranger was drinking or not, perhaps he had scared him away. No matter, his job was to keep watch right now, and if he had to drink to do that, then he would drink to do that.

When putting down his glass, empty, he heard a scream in the music. A large man held one of his hands in the others, looking very surprised and staring at another guy. He payed no more notice to it, there was no fight yet.

Another glass was poured, now he sent one to the girl as well.

*loud smacking with lips* SO! My friends, what are your names? I am N, or Nimensei if you'd rather use that name..hahhhh, so, honestly now, what brings you here?"

Claudia tilted her head and frowned slightly, disappointed at the seemingly unsuccessful attempt to woo the lady in front of her. The girl just kept the same monotone voice. Maybe she just wasn't attracted to people of the same sex. Of course, it was also much harder to charm someone when holding a disembodied head by the hair. It was always a gamble when dealing with females, and even trickier when dealing with someone who knew she was a sadistic blood sucker. She wasn't just going to give up and stop her inquiries though. There were still ways she could get info without violence.

Claudia brushed her hair away from her ears with a hand, smiling as she spoke. "So, you just decided to... tail someone who you just saw cut the head clean off someones body? To see what I was doing?" She took a couple steps forward, clacking her heels firmly on the ground with each step. "Don't you think that's a little stupid. For all you knew you could have ended up like this lovely fellow right here." She held up the head once more, planting another firm kiss on its lips, maintaining eye contact with the girl, watching for any body movements. If she couldn't seduce someone, plain old fear worked sometimes.

"You wouldn't happen to be with one of the big gangs, would you? like the Bloods, Poisons, Athenaeums?" She cocked her head sideways and brought her index finger to the corner of her mouth, talking in an inquisitive manner. "You definitely have that feel about you, and I KNOW a gang member when I see one. I'm personally not a part of one myself, just been looking to join one is all." she bluffed, not showing an inch of false facts in her voice. She had no idea if the girl was a part of a gang, but of she was this may scare her into fessing up. Her facial expression changed suddenly to her normal seductive smile, straightening up, now swinging the cranium she held in small circles. "Names Gia Snow, by the way. What's yours?"

"As lonely as you are, i suppose you are looking for someone to buy you drinks? Yes, that must be it, and seeing you want to get drunk fast shotting whiskey, as the gentl...no who am i kidding, as the man i am i shall help you with that."

"As lonely as I am?" Fayde raised an eyebrow at this. Though he was right, he shouldn't have any idea as to whether or not she was lonely. "Is a girl not alone to come to a bar on her own, without being lonely?" She leaned forward slightly, as if she were about to tell him a secret. "And who's to say I haven't a companion who just happens to be running late? Who's to say I'm not a married woman, off to spoil myself whilst my significant other works late?" She leaned back again, crossing her legs.

"You! Yes, you, redhair! Come join me, i have just gotten paid and i want to drink to celebrate, you look like a man that need to celebrate as well! And this lovely girl here at the tables needs to get drunk too so it seems, so what about we have a nice round of games to get smashed!?"

Fayde laughed as the man against assumed her intentions. And incorrectly, this time. She didn't need to get drunk. She wanted to unwind, and have a bit of fun. She wanted to relax. "Hmm... That makes zero for two. Not very good at being presumptuous, though you appear to think otherwise..." she frowned slightly, and glanced at the bottle in front of her. Not her usual... but it would do. She poured a small shot, and quickly tipped it back, grimacing at the foreign taste, much harsher than the brand she was used to. After downing the shot, she grabbed a larger glass from approximately a foot away. She enjoyed having a backup plan. Pouring herself a rather large glass, she slowly sipped the whisky. Though it was a more uncommon method of ingesting the drink, she couldn't stand the taste of this new brand, and felt sipping would be easier on her stomach.

As the other man joined the two of them, she glanced sideways at him for only a moment. He seemed interesting, sure, but honestly, he wasn't worth her time. Fayde delighted in a small game of sorts, when she was at the bar. She loved analyzing people, and surmising the details of their personal lives, but of course, she only did this in her head. People fascinated her, and this man was obviously rather skilled at not revealing any information he didn't intentionally reveal. She yawned slightly, and turned back to her whisky, taking another sip, and once again grimacing at the harsh taste.

"SO! My friends, what are your names? I am N, or Nimensei if you'd rather use that name..hahhhh, so, honestly now, what brings you here?"

"I'm called Sarah," she lied. No need to disclose names to complete strangers this early on, though she didn't want to seem rude, lest the constant flow of whisky be interrupted. Terrible, though it was, it was definitely doing it's job. "Long day in the..." she hesitated slightly, "the office. Just needed to unwind a bit."

"Three... two... one." About 3 minutes passed, and suddenly a convoy of 5 black luxury cars pulled in and around the circle of the statue stopping. 4 men from each car got out and stood. The 3rd car in the convoy played loud opera music... suddenly it opened. A short burly man with pudgy diamond ringed fingers stepped out. He was nicely dressed, and stood looking around until he saw Demon. He beckoned him to the convoy, looking at him as he crossed the street. He liked Demons style but looked a little tattered... shame he was black.... or whatever he was.

Demon crossed the street. The confrontation stopped all traffic, but no one dared honk their horn. Mancini was flashy and liked showing who was boss around town. Mancini has been in the game for 3 years now ever since his predecessor, Pacone was assassinated. Rumors are that he Mancini planned the hit. Ever since then he began running the mafia with an iron fist, but also allowing italian wolves and other creatures entrance, bringing them in from the mother country sometimes.

Demon stopped in front of the man, about 4 inches shorter than himself. He was fat and short, but supposedly hes one of the best fighters around and was still fairly young at about 32 years old. He puffed his cigar as he looked up at Demon with a smirk. "How we doin eggplant? You called?" Mancini said with an arrogant smirk... man these gangs could be sooo racist. Demon simply smirked back. "Mancini. Lets cut the crap. I need to get the money to my boss." Mancini began laughing. "But of course!" He nodded to his men and opened the trunk to his car. Demon went followed him and saw two big cases of money. Demon reached out but the trunk was quickly slammed. "Wait... that mission you guys did for me. Wasnt good. The Vlad found out that I knew some info on him... you know why? He blew up one of my bars in Russia last week. how do you explain that?" He asked.

Demon looked around and saw Mancinis men grabbing the insides of their coats. Demon became serious. "What are you saying? You saying we sold you out?" Demon asked. "Cause you know we dont do that. We've ran jobs for you before. You know my boss..." Mancini rubbed his face as demon spoke. "... One of your boys sold you out Mancini... this was an inside job..." Demon looked to his sides... the men were looking ready. Mancini continued rubbing his face in thought. Demons heart was beating. "Wait... lemme call my boss. Please." Mancini looked at demon for a while then nodded.

Demon mouthed thank you as the ring to his bosses cell phone rang... As it rang he looked toward the same alley the noobie girl was in. Looked like she was talking to some vamp girl... not a good idea. Demon considered taking her back on their side after this deal... Mancini allowed traffic to flow as demon paced waiting for his boss to pick up... @Prizzy Kriyze

Tiskana almost laughed when the vampire presented her with its name. Did it think that Tiskana was stupid? Apparently so. Either way, what the creature was doing with the severed head was actually quite concerning, and for a moment, Tiskana was curious as to whether what the vampire was doing was just an act, or she was actually off her rocker. But then again, Tiskana wasn't familiar with the other "gangs" per say. She didn't like that term, preferring to think of the Athenaeums as librarians and lawers and a substantially more intelligent group of people than say...the Bloods.

'Yes, well, I highly doubt that is actually you're name,' Tiskana smiled at the vampire, grinning. Her voice had picked up, and she wasn't so concerned about hiding it anymore. 'And I think you'll find I work for the Athenaeum, thank-you.' Ended Tiskana, grinning, greatly enjoying herself, even though she was considerably more wary of the vampire now than she had been before, mainly because she was so certain that it was being dishonest with her.

'Anyway Gina,' Tiskana said, her voice no longer flat and monotone. All of that had been drained from her voice. She was interested in where this conversation was going now. 'Following you wasn't really that stupid, because, let us be serious here, I'm not going to let you decapitate me without actually putting up a fight first. And I know not to let you near me now.'
